My computer crashed. I've had it reformatted and am having to re-authorize it so I can rebuild my Itunes library. Does it still count as a 2nd computer in the 5 allowable?

i noticed they said that facetime will basically be taking over video calls on the mac and that Messager will take over ichat, but i'm worried they're going to drop all the nice features they had on ichat, like being able to share screens while video chatting with someone. or being able to chat with 2 people at once on a video call.
has anyone downloaded the beta of this yet and tried it out? i'm very curious

You can start a Video chat with one Buddy and then chose Screen Share and providing you and the Buddy are using UPnP to open ports it will instantly convert to a Screen Share.
A Screen Share is only 1-1 and is technically an Audio Chat +
The Plus bit is an VNC connection alongside the Audio Chat.
This VNC connection uses a random port - hence the need to use UPnP to open the ports in the router (Or Port Mapping Protocol) in Apple Base Station.
There used to be Add-ons that allowed the Desktop as Video Feed which would have been a sort of Screen Share but none of these have been updated for Lion.
An Example is iUSBCam (ShowMacster was another - My link no longer works)
CamCamX maybe a possibility if it works in Lion (It does say it neess iUSBCam for iChat)

The iCloud id on my iPhone does not change to the new one set up with iCloud on my MacBook Pro Maverick

I have recently upgraded to Mavericks and bought an iPhone 5s. Initially I used the id already registered with Apple but changed it after a few days having used it on both my phone and MacBook Pro. Once I changed my id on the website, my MacBook Pro is fine but my phone has not synched the new id although any changes I make to Calendar, Notes, Contacts, etc do synch between them - puzzling. How can I change the id on my phone - in Settings it does not appear to be possible.
I am on OS 10.9.2 & iOS 7.1

Change it to new one on website and verify.
Sign in new one on the phone.

Does the speed of the new one make much of a difference?

1.) Has the new Express solved any of the previously problems with streaming music dropping?
2.) Will it print large files any quicker?

I doubt you'd notice the difference. As I said, you would only notice the difference if you invested in a RAID array, like the CalDigit HD Pro, or Dulce Quad Duo. You'll notice the difference compared to a firewire drive. But you won't see a diference between FW400 or FW800...or even single eSATA or internal SATA.

IShuffle does not hold charge, brand new one

I used this one only twice, then when connected to Mac, the light turns green in about 5 seconds, and stay green for about 15 hours while connected to Mac, as soon as I removed it from Mac and turn it on to listen, the light will not turn green, it remain off. I try to charge the battery on both Mac Pro and MBP, the results are the same. Shall I return it? Seems like the battery is not working. How to return it? Can I return it to the Apple store that I bought it for another one?

I returned it to the Apple store, the sale clerk brought it to the rear and had a technician wipe the media clean and did something and it works again, I wanted to find out how he did it, but the sale clerk said the technician is busy and I was unable to find out what he did, I am afraid I will have the same problem pretty soon and have to go to the store again.

TS1398 My wireless router failed and I had to purchase a new one. My security on the new one will not allow me to use the same password. I entered a new password, but of course it is not on my ipod or ipad mini . How can I enter new password ?

My wireless router in my home has failed. I purchased a new router, but it will not allow some of the characters which I used for my old password. Therefore I cannot access the internet with my ipad mini or my ipod touch. I am unable to change the password on either device. How does Analytics count the folio downloads?

I'm trying to set a price for our paid folios, based on how many times the free ones were downloaded. But we had to do some updates to the folios, so when the folio is downloaded again does it count as a new download?

Apple does not have any exchange program. You can sell them online to a buy-back comapny like gazelle.com, use the Apple recycle program (if available where you are) for store credit, or sell it yourself.
But to actually get the new one in your hands, you will have to buy one.

How can I transfer Apple care+ from malfunctioned iPhone4s to the new one?

I had purchased iPhone4s with Apple care+. Unfortunately the unit malfunctioned. I did contact the genius bar and they give me the new iPhone4s. The problem is that the Apple care+ attached to the old one does not pass to the new one. Any suggestion on how to do so?

I had contacted the Apple Store where I did the replacement. The answer I got from the genius bar staff overthere is that "I don't see any problem. All you have to do is wait. It should automatically change within a week or so". I just wonder if it has to take that long.

Probably the most straightforward way to get iTunes onto your second computer is to network it with the first one and copy your iTunes folder across. Start by consolidating your library. When you consolidate, any songs in the iTunes Library that are not in the iTunes Music Folder are copied to the Music Folder and the Library is updated to point to those new files. Files already in the iTunes Music Folder have no changes made to them: Copying all your iTunes files to one location - Windows
Copying the whole folder brings with it the iTunes Music folder and also the iTunes Library (iTunes Library.itl in Windows) database file which holds all the information about your songs (Playlists, Ratings, Play Counts, Last Played, Date Added, etc). You'll get more information including the Folder/File structure in this article: What are the iTunes library files?
When you copy the iTunes folder make sure you put it into the default location on the new computer. On a PC this is \Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\My Music\ (or C:\Username\Music\ in Vista). You should also use the same version of iTunes on both computers.
You can also use this method with an external hard drive, you drag the folder from the first computer to the external drive and then from the drive to the second computer.
If you have and iPod, some iPods can be used as an external drive and you can use them to move your iTunes (this option isn't available with the iPod Touch): How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer

Tap Settings > iCloud > scroll to bottom and tap on Delete Account. Now create a new one using your new Apple ID, etc.
If you have changed your email address, then return to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Tap on your mail account, scroll to bottom and tap on Delete Account. Reconfigure your new email account info.

My MacBook Pro hard drive died and under warranty a new one installed (hence lost everything). I have updates outstanding in App Store but can't update due to Apple Id under a foreign name I have tried every possible angle. Stuck!

I think I know the answer but just to be sure.
To update outstanding Apps in the App Store do I really need to have the person who purchased or downloaded them to sign in?
How can I remove his Apple ID altogether as this person holds no connection to me at all.
His Apple ID has come with my newly installed hard drive (works carried out under warranty), so I'm
assuming it is 2nd hand.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You will need to erase the HDD and start over by reinstalling the OS and setting the Mac up as a new one with your own Apple ID.

How does cycle count recommendation works.

I setup my cycle count codes as well as assigning them to the item master, when I run cycle count recommendations there are lots of items need to be counted. Here are my questions
1.     Where do I go to enter the new counts?
2.     When I enter the count do I enter the difference or what I counted?
3.     When Do I flag the items counted on cycle count recommendation screen?
4.     When I am doing cycle counting some transactions could take place at the same time how does system takes care of that so I do not over count or under count?
5.     Can I get a report of all items which I flagged as counted regardless of qty on hand or not? I need this data for cycle count analysis.
I have the documentation from SAP but I cannot see these steps.

You can have a maximum of 5 computers authorized to play DRM-restricted content purchased from the iTunes Store. You can have a maximum of 10 devices (computers and iOS) associated to your Apple ID.
However, since all music sold on the iTunes Store has been DRM-free since late 2009 there is no longer a number of devices restriction for music. It is possible to sync, via USB or Wi Fi, an unlimited number of iOS devices.

Copying Playlists/Count/Ratings to new PC

I have copied over music files to a new computer, but I have made an error as the playlists, count, ratings etc have not been transferred.
Is there a way I can extract just that information from my old PC and copy it to the new one, or would I have to re-do the entire copy process (and try and do it properly !) ?

I tried this, but I have made an error somewhere along the way.
When I dragged and dropped the entire iTunes folder to the 'My Music' folder on my new PC it showed all the files were there, but they didnt appear as part of the (new) iTunes library. I tried changing the path to ensure it was looking in the right place (using the Browse) and it seemed all OK, but nothing was showing up still. In the end I dragged the folder directly in to the Library area in iTunes itself. This had the effect, as described, of adding the music, but not all the attached information.
I am also wondering if I actually did 'gather' all that information when I first dragged and dropped from my (old) iTunes folder to the (disk enabled iPod).
I am essentially now looking for a quick-fix (I have 60gB of music so its a time consuming process to try and repeat the entire copy properly. I am not averse to doing that, and may well attempt it if there is no other way, but if there is a way of doing it, I'd like to know about it. Conversely, if anyone knows for absolute certain that it CANNOT be done, then I'd like to know as at least then I know where I stand.
