Reformatted and Restored and Still get Excl Mark

All seems to stem from downloading a podcast and then when I synched my ipod it froze the system.
Have had all the usual do not disconnect freezes and pc freezing but have got to a point where I get the folder and exclamation mark appearing on the ipod.
With further tinkering I have eventually managed to reformat and restore using both the original and latest updater software, got the icon telling me to plug into power to reflash the software but it still returns to the exclm mark.
Any ideas if there's anything further I can do or does it need to go back to Apple? (I have a week left before warranty expires!!!)

Just for info I returned my iPod to Apple last week and have just found out my replacement is on the way!!
Woohoo, and hopefully a whole years warranty for this one - I just hope this one doesnt break down so often.

Has your phone been jailbroken? If so, you will likely never get it to work again.
You can try placing your phone in DFU mode (search google) and restoring.

If the media is in the library then yes it is that simple. Connect the device, load it up with your media. The problem is when you try to connect a full device to a new empty library on a new computer when iTunes will offer to replace the content on the device with that in the local library, i.e. nothing! (For anyone in that position see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device).
You should be able to add your devices at https://supportprofile.apple.com/ though I'm not sure what happens if the second hand iPod was previously registered.

In order to get your messages to show up on your other phone, you would need to have a backup of the phone with the messages, and then restore the new phone from that backup.
According to article iTunes: About iOS backups found here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4946 iTunes will backup your Messages.
iTunes will back up the following information
Messages (iMessage and carrier SMS or MMS pictures and videos).

No. Reader will not damage files. It is only meant to read pdf files. PDF files are frequently damaged when sent as email due to encoding issues.

This helped me.
Go to Start -- Accessories -- Command Prompt, make right click and choose run as administrator
Type this command : netsh winsock reset
then restart your computer, everything should be ok after this. Good Luck.

But the program does start and seems to work well. But annoying as hell!!!
Also don't understand why there is pscc2014 rather than just updating pscc??

Windows 8 or Windows RT? iTunes won't run on Windows RT. It should run on Windows 8. Use the appropriate installer from an account with administrator privileges.
