Refresh apps objecs schema structure

Dear all,
Am doing a recovery now.
We have a requirement to refresh the APPS schema objects strucure alone from UAT to PROD
DB : 9.2.0.8.0
APPS Version : 11.5.10.2 (upgraded versions)
OS : solaris 5.10
Please let me know how I can do this ?

You can use Rapid Clone to refresh the database or the application (provided that the source and the target application/database are identical in terms of patches) or both from PROD to UAT (NOT from UAT to PROD of course). If you want to refresh certain objects (or all schemas) you can use export/import. Refreshing the whole apps schema is not a feasible solution due to dependencies. In addition, you cannot exclude seeded data from this export/import which are required for the application to work properly (like Application users, responsibilities, concurrent programs, ..etc).

I would recommend Datapump over Export/Import because it is faster and allows you to restart the job in case it failed.
In addition to Export/Import/Datapump, you can use Transportable Tablespaces with RMAN.

Hi Damorgan,
As i said, when refresh materialized view from another schema, mentioned error occurs.
I have also granted accees explicitely still following error occurs.

Does Oracle sample schemas HR/OE overwrite APPS' alike schemas?

Hi all,
I installed HR/OE sample schemas packaged along with oracle database on my testing apps env,
now i can't login EBS.
I am afraid these sample schemas overwrite apps' alike schemas, big trouble. Is there any way to
recover from this case?

Export the database schema / structure to a file server

I would really appreciate if any of you can share your experience on the following:
Database-1: Oracle 8i/9i and
Database-2: SQL Server v65/7/2000
I am looking for a solution to extract all the database schema/structure to a pre-defined location onto a file server. I wanted to configure this thru CRON job (for unix) and Microsoft Task Scheduler (for Windows). Also this solution should work for all databases (must work with Oracle, SQL Server). The exported file should not be just a dump file (.dmp), assuming only oracle can read .dmp file.
What are the possible ways to accomplish this.
I am sure, several tools would be available to accomplish this (like Embarcadero Change Manager), but solution may not be cost effective. Can we write any program to accomplish the same?
I would really appreciate your inputs.

I am doing this job using bcp command on sql serverwhich create dat file and then transport the file to oracle server in location where I have created an external table.

How to open Viewer from other apps? - App 'URL Scheme' has disappeared from Viewer Builder!

The 'URL Scheme' option in the Viewer Builder did let me to specify a url that made other apps open my viewer. But this option has disappeared from the newer version of Viewer Builder. So. How do I do now to let other apps open my viewer?

Is there a spacial reason that the URL scheme option was taken away from ordinary Multi-issue viewers? It was there in earlier version. I'll explain our situation:
Our client want to publish corporate information; annual reports etc, with DPS. Not really magazines or newspapers you subscribe to.
We are making another app where they publish news articles, videos etc. In that app, we want to have a link which opens the viewer with their publications.
To make this simple thing work, we have to create a 'subscription' to content which is not relly good for subscribing (it is free and announced with push anyway). We also have to tell the client to create Privacy Policys etc for this. A lot of hassle for something we do not really want.
Any chance that this option will come back in v19?

Manual setup of POP accounts has a non-parallel structure for incoming versus outgoing servers.
To review: for each account you must enter setup data for a single POP (incoming) server, but you are offered multiple choices for SMTP (outgoing) servers, and Mail.app supports sharing a single SMTP server setup among multiple accounts.
Why?
Why not just offer distinct setups for each account in each direction?   There must be a good reason for all this extra structure…. yes?
More specifically: What are implications for multiple accounts, e.g.
      [email protected]
      [email protected]
using the same outgoing server?   It seems to me that Mail.app encourages you use a single SMTP server setup for both, am I correct?    But this seems to undermine proper security. I think each account should uses its own credentials for both incoming and outgoing, yes?
In Mail.app V8.2, shipped with MacOS 10.10.2, Mail.app offers an opportunity to set up a second distinct SMTP server (in the above example, for [email protected]) but the text boxes for username and password refuse to accept text. Is this just my experience, a local problem? Or is it observed by others? If so… a new way of enforcing sharing of SMTP setups, or a bug?
I'm very curious about the long-term Mail.app design philosophy in this regard, but this is not just curiosity: I'm having trouble with multiple email accounts after upgrading to 10.10.2 In each case, when I try to set up multiple accounts on a single mail server.
I've done quite a bit of searching for explanations of mail.app's design, without success. It is very possible I've missed some relevant explanations. If so, please provide links and accept my apologies.

How to export app +underlying schema(and data)

I am trying to export my application and its underlying tables to a new system .
I want to know if it can be done together and not seperately..(export app and then export each table)
Is there away to package the app and its underlying repository?

No....
You will have to do them seperately as there is no logical connection between the application and the tables.
Your application just has the access to use those tables and does not "own" any of them.
a) Oracle database tables/ application tables
You can export the entire schema and all the objects and data in that schema using the export and import utilities.
All these objects are owned by the schema (eg. emp under scott) and hence are related logically.
b) Oracle apex metadata tables.
All the information about apex objects is stored as metadata in database tables (FLOWS_0300 is a schema).
So, if you install Oracle apex on a new machine, all these repository tables will be created.
When you create applications / objects, these tables will have metadata for those applications.

Can the Mail App color scheme be changed in Yosemite

Can you change the color scheme/theme in Yosemite Mail app? If yes, how do your do this.

The answer is "Sort of."
You can set Mail to automatically delete *every message retrieved from Hotmail* into Mail after the specified time period, so that the copy retrieved into (Apple) Mail is _the only_ copy.
Then, when you delete the retrieved Hotmail message from Mail, it's gone. But (depending on the timeframe you select) it was already gone from Hotmail, just by retrieving it into Mail.
1) In Mail, Preferences, select the Hotmail account.
2) In the Advanced tab, check 'Remove copy from server after retrieving a message'
and then the additional option *Immediately, After one day, After one week, or After one month.*
3) Note that only messages coming into the Hotmail Inbox are retrieved and then removed. If you have set filters in Hotmail to put specified messages into Hotmail folders, they will NOT be retrieved into Mail.
4) Messages that Hotmail puts into the Hotmail Junk folder are NOT retrieved into the Mail junk folder either.

App-V Refreshing Apps without Logoff/Logon or Client UI

I have a customer who wants the following functionality:
- User gets added to AD group
- Client refresh happens without having to logoff/on or initiate manual "Update" on the Client UI.
I understand the task that initiates the refresh is contained in a scheduled task that runs at Logon, but would it be feasible in a VDI scenario with 200 servers to run this refresh so frequently that the user would receive apps almost immediately after
being added to the AD group.
I'm not sure anyone has even considered AD replication but all the DCs would be within datacentre obviously so that replication would be quick.

Hi, by GPO you can configure the 4 scheduled tasks to perform a refresh:
@logon global/user
@interval global/user (interval can be set to run for instance every hour if you want to)
De default refresh internval on the appv5 backend is set to 10min, but can be adjusted bij a registry key. In a production env. I would keep it 10min.

System refresh of MCOD schema

I have a 2 system BI landscape with BW Development and BW production. Both the systems are dual stacks. The BW production is on its standalone oracle database but the BW Development is a part of an MCOD. Now i want to refresh the BW development with the BW production data. What would be the best approach ? It is going to be a homogenous copy but how does it work when the target system is a part of MCOD ? how do I insure the refresh of only BW schema in the MCOD ? The only way of doing a system copy of an MCOD data base would be:
- delete the schema/user on the target system
- export the database using R3load of the source system
- import using sapinst (create a 'new' MCOD)
The system copy issue is the major drawback when you have MCOD, that's why it's nowadays no more recommended.

Howto stop ipad refreshing apps each time shifting the app to background

IIpad 2 16 gb , 3G.
application in the background are always refresh and start from zero if you left it for seconds and shift to another application, specially safari and a lot of other apps.
how to stop this.

This has been happening to me also since I hooked up Apple TV for the first time yesterday. My iPad gets two bars of wifi strength in our living room, which is fine for surfing but evidently not good enough for Pandora. When I bring the iPad 40 feet away to the router in my office, it gets all 3 bars of wifi strength and works perfectly.
I think what is happening is that the less than full strength signal confuses the ipad when it is in Airplay mode, and then the iPad drops out of Airplay and defaults to it's local speakers. This is a drag, and so now I'm debating whether to buy the Apple Airport Extreme router, which everybody raves about for it's long range and powerful signal. My Linksys is not very impressive, and I've already spent too many fruitless hours with their tech support people tweaking the settings to no avail.
It is surprising that two out of three bars is not adequate to ensure good Pandora streaming performance, so I have no way of knowing if moving to a better router will dove the problem.

Background Refresh App Not Available After Turn off it

I've been turn off an app from background refresh list and the app is not more available on it.
I tried to remove the app and re-install, but the app doesn't appear on the list.
Anyone have the same problem?

I read somewhere in the forum, that the recovery mode can be entered by turning the tablet on while pressing power on and volume-up at the same time (and leaving pressed). If that doesn't work try it with power-on and volume-down.
