REFRESH button in Classical report

Hi,
We have one classical interactive report using write statement and we would like add refresh button, so that user need not execute the report from initial screen.
I have added refresh button in GUI and wrote in at user command also, but still not working. When i added refresh button in another ALV report it was working fine.
Is that refresh button will work for write command report? if possible how can we acheive this?

Hi,
It should work.
Define a button in GUI Status with FCODE 'REFRESH' (or whatever)
in At USER-COMMAND event do:
- get new data from DB
- output new data
Make sure you have the start-of-selection and end-of-selection events in the program.
If you didn't figure it out by now, post your code  and I'll have a look at it.
regards.

  • Hiding refresh button in Webi Report

    Hello experts,
    I would like to hide 'refresh' button on webi report in XI 3.1. One way to do this is using rights which I don't intend to use at this stage.
    Do we have any other way out to do this task?
    Many thanks in advance
    Regards,
    John

    Options:
    a) roll your own viewer/portal  - probably the safest bet, although a bit unwieldy if Infoview works fine and you only want to make this specific change
    b) make changes to Infoview's javascript files that render the toolbar buttons - entirely unsupported by SAP as well as a maintenance headache during upgrades
    c) ...revisit your reasons for not being able to disable refresh of the report to users - surely there's a security matrix that satisfies your requirement.  If there isn't (meaning that, for whatever reason you need these users to refresh against this content area in normal scenarios but want it disabled for this portion of your workflow) - then there are kludgy "work arounds" like adding/removing the user to/from a "no refresh" group you've created in the CMC,  programmatically, when running the report(s)
    good luck

    hi,
    if you use reuse alv grid. you can define your button at pf status. here the example :
      CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'

         i_callback_program                = sy-repid
         i_callback_pf_status_set       = 'MY_PF_STATUS'
         i_callback_user_command     = 'MY_USER_COMMAND'
    then :
    FORM my_pf_status USING it_extab TYPE slis_t_extab.
      SET PF-STATUS 'MY_PF_STATUS'.
    ENDFORM.                    "MY_PF_STATUS
    FORM my_user_command USING ip_ucomm    TYPE sy-ucomm
                                                          ip_selfield TYPE slis_selfield.

        WHEN 'VBELN'.
        SET PARAMETER ID 'AUN' FIELD ip_sellfield-value.
       CALL TRANSACTION 'VA03' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.
      ENDCASE.
      CLEAR : ip_ucomm.
      ip_selfield-refresh =
      ip_selfield-col_stable =
      ip_selfield-row_stable = 'X'.
    ENDFORM.
    if you use : write for output.
    START-OF-SELECTION.
      SET PF-STATUS 'DENEME'.
      WRITE : 'EXAMPLE'.
    AT USER-COMMAND.
      CASE sy-ucomm.

  • Disable/Hide the Refresh Button in Child report

    Hi All,
    Our Environment is BOXI-R2;
    We have a Master Report calling a Child Report (based on Open Document);
    Our requirement is to hide the" Refresh Button "in the child report Layout
    we tried using "hideRefresh=true"
    but the child report is not responding to the above clause
    Help us in this,
    if this is a BUG in XI R2, let us know the Service Pack details
    Thanks

    Joe , Thanks for your Inputs..
    our master report has the aggregated Measure , when the user clicks on this , it has to open a child report (with paramters from master report).
    We are aware of customizing "viewer.js " file (under BO install home) with "refreshDocIcon = null".
    But is this the only solution to hide the refresh button in the child report ?
    SInce its already a PRODUCTION environment, our customer won't allow to change the standard settings of the product.
    Thanks

    Here requirement is end users should pass the parameters from java screen and they should able to save the report in to excel/PDF.
    Refresh/edit buttons should disable/hide in the webi report.
    below is the sample url we are using in the java.
    http://" + CMS + ":8080/ OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?"+ "iDocID=" +ReportID + "&sType=wid&sRefresh=N&sWindow=New&lsSEnter List Name: =+List&token=" + token
    we tried with using &buttonrefresh=hide in above URL.
    Note: We are also having hyperlink reports in the Webi.
    Please provide me inputs to disable refresh button.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    why do not set this over the authorization scheme? Just deny your users the right to refresh/edit the report.

    How to add a new line in a ALV report?
    How to add a refresh button in a report?

    Hi,
    First of all u have to Create ur own PF-status and Assign Fcode e.g 'INSERTROW'.
    So, whenevr you will click Insertrow button it will be triggered in your User Command and then just Append the blank line in your Final Internal Table.
    And Refresh Icon will be there by default...
    To Trigger it You have to write rs_selfield-refresh = 'X'
    You can also follow the below link...
    Try it.

  • Refreshing a classical report

    Hi all...
    I m having a requirement to refresh a classical report from the output screen itself..
    From the basic list, if I select a row and click on the detailed list button in application tool bar, a custom screen will be called. In that screen I am modifying some values and saving it.  Again if i click back button, the modified value and related calculations should be updated in the basic list.....
    The values which I am modifying in the screen are not to be directly updated in the list.  Based on the values in the screen there are some computations ( Which are already there in the report)..
    If refreshing is not possible, I need to run the report one more time to get the new values in the out put list, which is not desirable.....
    Please solve this....
    Thanks in advance,
    JJ.

    Hi Reeta,
    I got the requirement to migrate a report in old system (SAP 4.6c) to ECC6.0.  The functionality of refreshing the report was not there in the old system, I have to incorporate that.
    The old program was not modularized.
    I finally myself modularized the code into different sub-routines and I identified that which sub-routines are exactly carrying out the report calculations and display, and I called the same set of two sub-routines under the back button of the detailed screen....
    Before this I directly tried with submit to the same program under the back button of detailed list screen...though it is not a good solution it worked fine up to refreshing the report, but if we hit the back button in the refreshed basic list, it will directly go to the easy access screen instead of the selection screen..
    So, I followed the modularization of old code and called the particular sub-routines....

  • (Classic) Report losing pagination on partial page refresh - APEX feature request

    I have a page with both an Interactive Report and some classic Report regions.
    Based on user updates, there are many occasions where I need to do a partial page refresh.
    Thanks to plugin http://www.apex-plugin.com/oracle-apex-plugins/dynamic-action-plugin/refresh-interactive-report-1.0_361.html
    I'm able to refresh my IR, but not my classic report (unless I do a submit of the whole page) without losing pagination.
    Request: Will a Dynamic action 'Refresh without losing pagination' be part of future apex versions?
    Now, in apex 4.2, is there another work around available for classic reports?
    (I use 'submit page' now as action, but it's at least a second slower as a partial refresh, and because I need it on every user update, this second becomes a big addition to user frustration).
    Thanks, JP

  • Refresh classic report based on select list value selected

    hello,
    can anyone please help me out with this issue. I have a parameterized classic report based on a select list and I want to refresh this report whenever the select list value is changed. I am using oracle apex version 3.2. i just want to have a javascript function onchange event for the select list which refreshes my report whenever a value is selected.
    My select list item is p1_datastore
    select distinct datastore d,datastore r from my_table1 order by 1;
    My classic report query is
    select * from my_table2 where datastore = :p1_datastore order by last_updated_dt desc;

  • Report prompting Report Parameters on clicking Viewer Refresh button

    Hi,
    We are using Crystal Reports XI release 2 for launching the reports.  Dot net Web forms are used for launching the reports. We are using SQL server stored procedure for getting the report data.  Report Parameter values are assigned programmatically.  Report is launching fine and data are displayed perfectly.
    The problem is when I click on the Refresh button available in the report viewer it prompts for all the report parameters to enter the corresponding values.  To overcome this issue I tried to use the u201CReuseParameterValuesOnRefreshu201D programmatically and in crystal report viewer control, but still it is displaying all the report parameters details.
    To overcome this issue is there any settings available in the crystal report designer  or programmatically this can be handled ?
    I had verified the followings
    1.     Report navigations are working fine (move previous, next)
    2.     Report export is working fine
    3.     Report Printing is working fine
    Crystal Reports Version Used
    Cystal Reports XI Release 2 Developer Edition (Product Version : 11.5.0.313)
    Operating System :
    Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition (Service Pack 2)

    You are using the original release of CR XI R2.
    Download SP4 full build, requires an uninstall first and then install SP 5 and 6 and test again.
    To get to the download page click on the Businessobjects tab above and SAP Crystal Report on the left side and then downloads.
    Thank you
    Don
