Refresh grid

dear all :
i am using WebLogic Server Version: 10.3.2.0
with Oracle Jdevloper 10g realse 1 (11.1.1.2.0) .
i face the following problem :
i have master detail table as grid .
when i click in mouse in master table it will refresh all the table and go to the current row .
my quastion is :
how i can stop the refreshment on the grid when i move from row to another when i click on it .

Hi,
Check whether changeEvent="ppr" for the Iterator in ur PageDef File. if so remove it it wont refresh ur Table on row selection.

    Whenever the user logs in he is taken to the TAB A.
    From TAB A, user navigates to TAB B.
    The TAB B has a GRID B(table with some records ).
    Column A on TAB B has a hyperlink which when clicked will open up a different task flow in a different tab.
    The click on column A's hyperlink for different rows will open different TF's (based on some conditions).
    On clicking the hyperlink the _launchActivity(String title, String taskflowId, boolean newTab) method is used which open the TF in a new tab.
    User works on the TF( on a new tab) which was opened on click of the Column A's hyperlink and clicks on SAVE.
    On click of save  some operation is performed and removeCurrentTab method is called which will close the current tab and the control goes to first  tab(TAB A) .
    The problem:
    Once the user tries to click or come back to to TAB B the GRID B is never refreshed as we are unable to get the handle to refresh the grid data.
    Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

  • Refreshing grid display

    Hi All,
    My question is regarding report and grid display:
    1) After executing report (with selection-screen), we will be directed to a screen (module pool) with multiplt ALV grids by making use of Splitter Control (which is dynamic depending on the output table).
    Suppose only one output table is available then only on grid will be displayed, if two output tables are there then 2 grids will be displayed.
    2) After executing this module pool screen, one more screen with errors would be displayed.
    Now the output tables may vary in terms of no.of tables and in terms of data. Say like one more output table may be added to the previous screen.
    But my second screen (mentioned in point 1) is not getting refreshed after coming back from error screen (mentioned in point 2).
    Please provide some info on this. Hopefully my req is clear.

    when you are coming back , call the method: CALL METHOD gv_grid1->refresh_table_display. and CALL METHOD gv_grid2->refresh_table_display.

  • Refresh grid  title

    Hello Everybody,
            I have done my program in ALV Grid. I have a title in my layout and I have displayed sy-dbcnt in the title. The problem is I have a Refresh button on my grid and when I press the Refresh button the result will gets changed. Now  I also need to get my grid title refreshed.
    for example: initially I get 58 readings in the output the title shows me <b>'Records Found : 58'</b>.
    later when I refresh the grid with refresh button my readings gets changed (like get reduced to 56). now my grid title is not getting refreshed so that I should get it as <b>'Records Found: 56'</b>.
    can any body help me out in this case?

  • Grid POV disappears during essbase refresh

    Hi all,
    The grid pov that we created for our reports disppears when user tries to open the report during Essbase cube refresh.
    when try to open FR report during cube refresh (outline build), the grid pov members are set to the parent instead of the members that have been originally selected.
    whn we open the same report after essbase cube refresh, Grid pov still shows the parent..so we had to go to report studio and reset the Grid pov.
    Is there any way we can handle this.
    all reports work fine when run after essbase cube refresh.

    I am just curious if there is a need to run the report during the refresh. Can't the users wait till the refresh is over? I don't think you need to change the POV member in FR Studio. As far as I know, when I user selects a POV member on Workspace and then logs out, the next time he/she logs in, Workspace remembers the latest selection.
    I am not sure if Workspace automatically changes the POV members to their default value (dimension itself) after an Essbase refresh. If it is the case, I know it is annoying but, user might need to select the POV members again. I always try to limit the dimension on POV. I don't the exact term, but I like locking the members down on POV, so the users only have to select limited number of dimension members.

    I wanted to put this in the WIKI but it keeps bombing out when I try and save so I've put this here -- Maybe a MOD can move it for me.
    This generic class should give you far more insite into using an EDITABLE ALV table than the standard documentation.
    If you follow the steps you should be able to code very quickly a decent useable ALV OO program which can retrieve and manipulate data very easily.  The events are (hopefully) well documented as are all the steps.
    Once you understand the basics you can add more functionality like colouring Cells, adding hyperlinks etc etc.
    I've always found that stupid SEAT / AIRLINE application SAP uses for its examples far too overblown and in reality who would ever use a SAP system for Airline reservations anyway.
    The class here describes a much simpler application which CLEARLY (I hope) explains how the whole thing works.
    Jimbo's generic class for using the OO ALV GRID Class CL_GUI_ALV_GRID
    from an application program to display and manipulate ANY table
    with minimal coding needed in the Calling application program.

    Before analysing ALV, please cross check the behaviour of the calling program.
    Is the control really going to the application server when you do all the above process?
    If so, when user makes some changes are they saved in the data base / affected the internal table which you are using for ALV?

    Customize the appearence of the grid
    The structure lvc_s_layo contains fields for setting graphical properties, displaying exceptions, calculating totals and enabling specific
    interaction options.
    Fill the apporpiate fields of structure lvc_s_layo and insert it as a parameter in the CALL METHOD
    go_grid->set_table_for_first_display. See the example under Set the title of the grid.
    If you want to change apperance after list output, use the methods get_frontend_layout and set_frontend_layout.
    Examples of fields in structure lvc_s_layo:
    GRID_TITLE Setting the title of the grid
    SEL_MODE. Selection mode, determines how rows can be selected. Can have the following values:
    ·        A Multiple columns, multiple rows with selection buttons.
    ·        B Simple selection, listbox, Single row/column
    ·        C Multiple rows without buttons
    ·        D Multiple rows with buttons and select all ICON
    Setting and getting selected rows (Columns) and read line contents

    Color a line
    The steps for coloring a line i the grid is much the same as making a traffic light.

    I must get seven different grids (seven different totals) starting from a gui.
    I wouldnu2019t wish to declare seven containers and seven alv-grid, I would prefer declare only one time both objects. So every time I use the FREE instruction and then the CREATE again:

    When I get the first output,  I get the first grid correct (any table, everything is ok). When I get the second output and over, I see the first table again. In debug mode I can see the second new table correctly when I call the method, and I can see the objects full before the FREE instruction, and empty after.
    Is there a solution, or must I declare seven alv-grid?
    Must I declare seven containers too?

    Use one instance for alv and container . Change fieldcat , layout using SET_FRONTEND_FIELDCATALOG
    SET_FRONTEND_LAYOUT methods , than refresh grid.

    Programming for ALV grid display using the classes involves  creation of a screen and calling it for display.
    Since there has to be a linking between the program and the screen we have created , this comes in the form of a container. We use two important classes during the programming for displaying ALV grid, CL_GUI_ALV_GRID and CL_GUI_CUSTOM_CONTAINER.
    Steps To Use ALV Grid in a Program
    1. Declare reference variables for,
           Container (class CL_GUI_CUSTOM_CONTAINER) and
           Grid (class CL_GUI_ALV_GRID)
    Example

                custom_container  TYPE REF TO cl_gui_custom_container
    2. Create Standard Screen and a container on that screen  and give a name to that container ( Use custom control button from tool bar) .     4. Instantiate the container control and the ALV Grid Control in PBO of the screen.

    I_BYPASSING_BUFFER & I_BUFFER_ACTIVE :
    When the program is run for the first time, the fields present in the output table and their positions are stored in a buffer.  So the buffer is taken as reference for the successive executions.  In order to bypass this buffer the above parameter values should be ‘X’ and  ‘ ‘(space)  respectively. If these values are not passed  to the function module, the changes made in the structure of the internal table will not be reflected in the output.
    I_STRUCTURE_NAME:
    If the structure of your output table corresponds to a structure stored in the Data Dictionary (DDIC), the ALV Grid Control can use this information to generate the field catalog automatically. Pass the table structure as parameter. In this case, all fields of this DDIC structure are displayed in the list.
    IS_VARIANT :
    It allows the user to save and reuse the layout. It is a structure of type DISVARIANT and contain the display variant name. It  facilitates pre-assignment for a layout, rather than displaying report and then choosing displaying variant.
    I_SAVE:
    This single character variable specifies whether the user specific display variants can be saved or not.
    The I_SAVE "Options for saving layouts" parameter can have the following values:
    U Only user specific layouts can be saved
    X Only global layouts can be saved
    A Both user specific and global layouts can be saved
    Space Layouts can not be saved
    IS_LAYOUT:
    This structure of type LVC_S_LAYO
    is used to control the layout of the ALV.  Two important fields are:
    GRID TITLE. : Title of grid
    ZEBRA : Alternate lines in list are displayed in different colors.
    IT_FIELDCATALOG:
    This internal table of type LVC_T_FCAT
    is used to specify the position of various fields in the report itab.
    There are three ways we can fill the field catalog table
    1. Automatically through data dictionary structure (DDIC). In this case we pass the table structure to I_STRUCTURE_NAME.
    2. Manually in ABAP program. Filling the internal table of type LVC_T_FCAT
    1.                  . With each row corresponding to each column of output table. Each row of this table will hold value like
    i). TABNAME & FIELDNAME specifies the reference fields for F1 help

  • ALV Grid event handlers

    Hello Friends;
    I have a problem with event handlers. I have defined events for double_click, data_change and hotspot_click. At first run of the program everything runs fine but when I make a change at the screen (like pressing Enter or entering a value at a screen field) the handlers seem to be called a couple of times. For example at a hotspot click I call an accounting document display and when I want to return with back button the program seems to be stuck at document display. Actually it calls event handler over and over again. How can I solve this problem? Can refreshing grid be a solution?

    Hello Ali
    The problem is that after handling the hotspot event the current cell is still on the field with the hotspot. Thus, when you push ENTER the ALV grid checks the current cell which has a hotspot defined which, in turn, raises event HOTSPOT_CLICK.
    Therefore, you have to move the current cell to another cell that has no hotspot defined. Have a look at the implementation of the event handler method. The hotspot is on field KUNNR. After calling transaction XD03 I shift the current cell to field BUKRS.
    If you comment these lines you will see the same behaviour of the report as you described.

    Hi,
    In ALV, to refresh the table you have to call the method "refresh_table_display". 
    It has the syntax very similar to creating the table. 
    It has two parameters. In the first one, you can mention if you want to refresh only the data (the icons are not refreshed) 
    or 
    if you want to refresh only the icons around the grid (the data is not refreshed - this option is mostly not used in day to day applications).

  • Multiple selection in DISPLAY only ALV GRID

    Hi,
    I would like to make the rows of the ALV Grid Display only at the same time I would like to make multiple selection possible.
    Multiple selection is possible by giving EDIT = 'X' at the layout level. But then if we give EDIT = ' ' at the fieldcatalogue level or no_input = 'X' at the layout level it is still in Editable mode. Kindly help me.

    Setting and getting selected rows (Columns) and read line contents
    You can read which rows of the grid that has been selected, and dynamic select rows of the grid using methods get_selected_rows and set_selected_rows. There are similar methods for columns.
    Note that the grid table always has the rows in the same sequence as displayed in the grid, thus you can use the index of the selected row(s) to read the information in the rows from the table. In the examples below the grid table is named gi_sflight.

  • Special characters into datagrid through the use of buttons

    Hi!
    I have a datagrid for word input, I'm trying to create a "special characters" panel, kind of like google's new "virtual keyboard" thing on google.com, so that the user can enter data into the datagrid cells using characters that aren't on their keyboards.
    I manage to do this just fine, using the solution below. I know this is probably not the best/most effective way to do this, so any suggestions for making the code better will be appreciated. I only started using Flex a month ago.

    The problem is that this only adds a letter at the end of the selected item's value, not at a specific position within the word specified by the position of the cursor.   • Do not include some lines in Subtotals and totals in ALV

    Hello All,
    I am printing a report with all sale order details and Quantities( delveered ,conformed etc..) iam doing subtotals based on the material and Plant.
    In this if the document date is less than the SY-DATUM, we should not include the quantity into the subtotals and totals, Only the orders wiht doc date GQ to Sy-datum then display them..
    As of now I am using ALV grid display and doing the sums by 
    l_wa_fcat-do_sum = c_x. (field catalog) for the whole colom) but i want to avoid sum row from tehe calculation based on the condition.
    <b>Do we have any way to achive this, like if we want to have separate color for a purticular Cell then we add an extra field in outout table and we link this field with layout-coltab_fieldname in the same way or any other way if we have</b>.
    I will be  thankfull to if you can provide me your valuable suggesstions on this. it is very urgent. I am trying in all the ways from my side.
