Refreshing formulas when ingredients are changed

When changing a material on a formula, do you have to refresh the material and then refresh the formula. Or can you just make the material change and refresh the formula. What I am seeing is I changed the input material, refreshed the formula and was still seeing an allergen that had been present from the previous material. I repeated the refresh and then the correct allergens were displayed

You should only have to refresh and then re-calculate the formulation. If you have to do this twice to get the allergen to appear you may have found a bug.

Recover Replication Environment when we are changing Hardware

I've implemented replication between two locations in oracle 9i and it is working perfectly alright for last one year. Now at one location (at snapsht site) I have to change the server hardware and I have to put a new IBM server. I'll have to install Oracle 9i on new Server but I think if I export data from old server and if I import it in new server then I believe replication will not work.
what is way to use the same replication setup on new server without doing setup of creating Master site on one server and snapshot site on new server.
I think I'm clear in my question.

Are you changing hardware platforms as well as the hardware? Or are you going from one AIX box to another?
If you have the downtime window, and you are staying on the same operating system, the easiest option would generally be to shut down the snapshot database, do a cold backup, restore the backup to the new server, and start up the snapshot database. If you don't have the downtime window for this, or you are changing operating systems, you'd generally be looking at rebuilding the snapshot database on the new server and having two different snapshot databases running for some period of time before you do the cutover.

UWL do not refresh correctly when leave request change status

I implemented the standar workflow of "Leave Request"(succesfuly), and the leave request appareced in UWL in MSS, I approved the leave request, but Leave Request is not change the status. But The employee of the leave request watch the new "status" with approved in the ESS option (Leave Request).
I refresh the UWL but Leave request stills appears with status "new", I clicked in the Leave Request (it had already approved in the previous step) and the new window open with error "index 0,0".
My questions are:
1. How I can refresh my UWL? and that I displayed the request approved
2. Why not change your status to approve the leave, if I do not get any error?

Correct values not flowing in MIRO when values are changed in J1IEX

D/ Friends,
In Purchase Scenario with mov typ 101, when we capture excise duty thru T.Code J1IEX, sometimes we need to change the Duty Rates as well as Excise base Value (i.e.***. Value). We change these 2 things & we also change the BED, ECess & SH Cess values manually. Thereafter we do GRN & then post the EI.
Now the issue is that when we do MIRO, the duties Posted in EI in J1IEX, are not flowing in MIRO. Pls note that such scenario is occurring only when we change the above 2 things in J1IEX. Pls advice.

Mail vanishes when settings are changed

I was recently required to change my mail settings to access my at&t mail account. When I did so, the body of all of emails sent and received prior to changing my settings were no longer visible. When I tried to rebuild my mailbox, the pre-change settings emails were gone completely; all 4,000+ emails received prior to changing my settings were simply gone. I assume they are still on my harddrive somewhere. How can I get them back?

Thanks for the response but it turned out to be a basic problem in that basic had turned off and i hadn't noticed in my rush to process some shots quickly - a coffee and a few deep breaths and a good look at what was on my screen solved the problem.

How to refresh dataservices when underlying table changes

I'm writing a Flex application using FlashBuilder that accesses several MySQL tables. I've generated data services to access the tables and have used a datagrid to display the data successfully.
I then realized I was missing a couple of columns in one of my tables. I used phpAdmin to add the columns to the table. When I try to add the new columns to the datagrid, they don't show up in the Bind to Field dropdown. (I am able to type in the new column names, but they don't seem to function in the grid.)
Looking at the service datatype and code in the Data/Services tab, I can see that they're not showing the new columns. I tried doing a refresh, but they still don't show up. I've snooped through the code in the services folder and I could try to add them myself. Before I do, I thought I'd better find out if there's a better way.
Is the data service generation a one-time only type of function or is there a way to have it "re-generate" the data service so as to include any new or changed columns? Any advice on how best to handle this in the future (short of "finish the data model first" )?

Do a "Configure Return Type" on the Operation which is bound to the datagrid. Right click on the operation -> Configure Return Type. This will generate a new data type with a new property corresponding to MySQL column.
Add a column to DataGrid either in Code OR right click on DataGrid -> Configure Columns and add new column with 'HeaderText' and 'Bind To field' values.

Firefox constantly crashes when it opens and when tabs are changed.

Ever since 4/19 of this year, Firefox has been randomly crashing when I open it, and after restarting it will crash randomly during sessions, generally when switching tabs I've noticed (though not always).

One of the bug reports linked to your crashes says the HTTPS Everywhere extension could be a contributing factor. Would you try disabling it for 48 hours and see whether that makes any difference?
You can do that on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions.
Some of these crashes are related to the "Just in Time" (JIT) JavaScript compiler(s). You could try disabling some of those features to see whether that helps. Alternately, you could run Firefox in its Safe Mode for a period of time since that disables them automatically (but in that case, extensions also are disabled).

ITunes bumps list to top when tags are changed

I'm using the latest iTunes and trying to tidy some tags. If I change a tag, iTunes insists on bumping me up to the top of my song list even if the song itself did not change positions in the list. Sometimes it doesn't bump to the top but to a seemingly random point. It is making it VERY tedious to tidy my songs.
Example...I sort songs by artist. I change the title tag for a song. iTunes will bump me to the top of the song list even though the song itself is not changing positions (because I am not sorting by the variable that was changed.) I am getting completely frustrated because this forces me to scroll up and down. Is there any way to prevent this from happening so I stay on the song I'm playing or modifying?

The cricual thing is to have a complete backup of your library that you could restore if needed.
What changes are you noticing? There appear to be some new as yet not well documented features designed to sync data across multiple libraries/devices which may have unwanted side effects.

Detail Reports must be Refreshed if Bind Vars are Changed

I have several "Master / Detail" reports where the Master has columns that are passed to the detail reports as Bind Variables.
We've noticed that the Detail reports always return the report for the first bind variables sent to the report. To update the detail report based on the new bind variables, the admin must hit the report refresh button at the top of the page.
For example:
Master Report A contains a table with two columns, with the first column linked to a Detail Report
ColA / ColB
Clicking on ColA passes ColB to the Detail Report. The Detail report uses the bind variable to run a SQL Query.
If two rows are in the Master Report
A1 / B1
A2 / B2
Clicking A1 creates a correct URL and Detail Report using B1
Going back to the Master Report and Clicking A2 quickly shows a Detail Report with B1. Using the Refresh Report button generates a Detail Report with B2. Note that the HTTP GET URL is proper and shows B2 in the second parameter.
Is it pretty standard practice for a GC Administrator to hit the Refresh button on a report?

I'm not sure what you mean by via "the WebCache".
I am going from browser directly to the management system with nothing in between (nothing but net).
This does appear to be a framework problem. I've tried several different approaches. I am currently moving to hand generate the URLs to avoid this problem. I will check back if it works. The good thing is that I do not appear to require the reportId to build the URL.
The goal is to insert event=refresh into the URL GET parameters ... hacking this into the bind parameters didn't work as the framework escapes the URL so the & gets turned into an innocuous escaped parameter.

IPhoto stops responding when preferences are changed

I'm having a very strange problem on my wife's Macbook, running OS 10.5.5 with iPhoto 7.1.4. Initially, iPhoto was freezing up (spinning beach ball) as soon as it was opened, and did not function at all. I can fix this problem by deleting the iPhoto plist preferences file, but the same thing happens again as soon as I open the iPhoto preferences window and try to change any preferences. iPhoto then remains broken (same as initial symptoms) until the plist file is deleted again.
I have tried the following potential fixes, none of which have worked:
1. Delete the iPhoto plist preferences file. This only fixes the problem until I try to change any preferences.
2. Rebuild the library. This didn't make any difference at all.
3. Open iPhoto with a new, blank, library. This didn't make any difference at all.
4. Repair disk permissions. This didn't make any difference at all.
5. Completely removed iPhoto using AppCleaner then reinstalled and updated to 7.1.4 again. This didn't make any difference at all.
Any other ideas?

Have you applied the latest iLife Support updater, iLife Support 8.2 ?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

Distortion when tracks are changing!

When I am playing my Library with iTunes, and running Internet Explorer, there is a problem during the transition from one track to another.
I am running iTunes in Shuffle mode.
It seems as if there are several versions of the same song playing at one time. Eventually the problem clears up and the tune plays correctly.
Also at the same time the Windows screen doesn't repond to keystrokes immediatly.

No, you can't turn off last played. What is happening at the end of every track, both itunes library files get updated.
First suspect is checking your AV software to make sure it's not preventing itunes from updating those files.

How do you refresh devices when they are not showing up on iTunes?

Sometimes my iTunes doesn't recognize one of my devices after I have left the building and come back. Is there a way to tell iTunes to refresh the devixes listed? There is no problem with the wifi, so there should be communication between the iPhone or iPad and iTunes on my Mac.

Do we need to deploy BPEL, when a XSL changes????

I was just thinking if we need to deploy whole BPEL process when there is a change in the transformation. When there is a change in transformation, the xsl file assosciated with that transformation changes.
I wanted to test this, so i created a sample BPEL process with a transformation and deployed it to default domain. later changed the xsl and copied it to the process folder in default/temp.....but the changes did not apply when the process has been tested.
So restarted the server and the new xsl seems to be working.(Could be obvious as the server loads all the bpel processes when it is restarted)
I have a question, can we make the new xsl working without restarting the server????(similar to HTML`s for which we dont restart the server when they are changed)

Sunny,
If you did any changes in your transform activity, you simply can go to the source of that transformaion, copy it, and paste it in a new transform activity (after setting the source and target). After that you can delete the pld transform activity.
You don't have to restart bpel server after that.
