Refreshing to black screen every 3 seconds

refreshing to black screen with the power wheel every 3-5 seconds and won't boot down unless.
I reset and continue to hold down the home and up button. then it shuts down
It does boot up and I can log in but again every 3-5 seconds it goes the the power wheel black screen

- Try a reset.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Then connect to your computer and try to restore again. I would restore to factory defaults/new iPod
- If you can't restore and the iPod is acting the same. let the battery fully drain. After charging for at least an hour try the above again.

We can't discuss disassembly and reassembly of phones here, any issue of faulty or broken hardware must be referred to a Nokia service point because only they are authorised to make such repairs.

We can hear audio, but video blacks out every few seconds; picture comes back when we hit the tv's volume button. Everything seems to be plugged in well. The picture even starts out being sort of dim. And it goes through phases of working fine but then will randomly start blacking out again.  Any ideas?

  • Streaming freezing while playing, unless I touch the screen every few seconds to keep the streaming actively flowing.

Streaming from iPad, through an app and the streaming will stop unless I touch the screen which seems to wake it up and will begin from where it stopped. Can anyone tell me why it does this? Kind of makes watching something a little annoying. It's as if the iPad goes to sleep, which stops the streaming. Is there a way to keep the streaming going without having to touch the screen every few seconds to have a the streaming continue as a steady feed?
    Thanks,

If you are streaming through an app it may need it to be awake so it can receive the feed on the iPad and then airplay it, depending on how  the app functions. You can set the auto lock to never

  • VMware View Session go Black screen for some seconds

    Hi Guys,
Recently one of my client is facing issues that VDI Desktop session is going black screen for few seconds and automatically session comes back. I have increased PCoIP Configure the PCoIP session Bandwidth floor to 200. still facing same issue.
Note : All user facing this issue is in branches and we have 2 GBps pipeline Datacenter to Branches. Normally 40% is the network utilization.

Sorry, I was thinking the APEX 2800 cards were related to this, but that was a different ticket I was thinking of.  So scratch that.
As far as this problem goes, I have seen this issue happen numerous times.  It only happens with users with dual monitors.  Here's a workaround: Control Panel > Mouse > Pointers > Scheme > Select a non Aero scheme
It took VMware quite a few months, but they finally generated a KB for it and closed my ticket: VMware KB: Zero client monitors will randomly go black for 1-2 seconds

  • Tv gives a black screen every 10 sec

I connected mij Mac mini to my tv and it works great. Until I change something to the screensetting or play game with other screensettings. The start flickering. A black screen apears every 10 seconds and the says it lost connection. Does somebody know this problem and maybe how to solve it.

Which Mac Mini? > Finding your Mac OS X version and build information
How much RAM does it have? > Finding your Mac OS X version and build information
Have you upgraded RAM, if so which supplier and what are the spec's of the RAM used?
    1. Shutdown and recheck all of your cables to ensure that all firmly plugged in.
    2. Reset the SMC and PRAM.
SMC > Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
    1. Shut down the computer.
    2. Unplug the computer's power cord.
    3. Wait fifteen seconds.
    4. Attach the computer's power cord.
    5. Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.
PRAM and NVRAM > Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
    1. Shut down the computer.
    2. Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    3. Turn on the computer.
    4. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
    5. Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    6. Release the keys.
    3. I mention RAM, because some Mac Mini's have graphic's chips that use the main memory and if the RAM is out of spec it can cause graphic's issues.

After detaching and reattaching battery several times onece screen turns on and laptop then works smoothly.but after shutting it down again on next day same problem persists. I have already tried power drain out method.but on the next go same problems arises.what to do.

    Hi Anish1,
    Welcome to the Forums
As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with black screen in your Lenovo G510 laptop.
As you have mentioned that black screen when turned on, can you hear the windows login sound?
Remove the battery and connect only adapter and check for the issue also connect only battery and check for the issue.
Connect an external monitor and check if the display appears in the external monitor then its a issue with the LCD, if there is no display in the external monitor then it might be issue with the motherboard, hence suggest you to visit the nearest authorised service centre.
Click here for the service centre and select your region.
    Best regards,

However, I've also experienced a crash or 2 in which the screen goes black and the monitor goes to sleep. The computer doesn't wake up and I'm forced to do a hard reset. • My Mac Pro "mid2010" locks the screen/ screen blacks out every some seconds.

This started last week with the installation of Mavericks. What can I do? Settings in Screensaver etc. are "normal", i.e. I did not change anything. The screen goes black totally randomly every 5 to 10 seconds. I usually have "require password to unlock screen". So it asks me to enter the password every time. That means it locks the screen ? I unchecked this option to be able to at least get some work done. I can wake the machine up by hitting any keys. There are several people working on this machine. Some of us use the Remote Desktop (RD) environment "vnc://..." but stopped using it, to make sure the problem is not related to the use of RD. The problem is still there. Does anyone have an idea. I cannot find any useful hints on this, nor was I able to find a similar problem.
    Cheers,
    Eric

How to make your own bootable OS X 10.9 Mavericks USB install drive
Apple has changed things in 10.9, but making a recovery drive is still possible.
    by Andrew Cunningham - Oct 23 2013, 8:19am CDT
OS X  Flickr user Prime Number
When Apple released OS X 10.7 two years ago, it stopped selling operating system DVDs in its stores, stopped shipping recovery disks with new Macs, and switched to downloadable installers for OS X upgrades.
These download-only installers have actually worked pretty well—I’ve never had an issue downloading the software from the Mac App Store or restoring a Mac using the Internet Recovery feature when something went south.
That said, it’s still nice to have an install disk handy for those cases when you don’t have a connection, when your connection is slow, or when you just have a whole bunch of Macs and don’t want to have to download the installer on each and every one of them.
The good news is, as with Lion and Mountain Lion, it’s possible to create a local USB installer for Mavericks. The bad news is that it wasn’t as simple as it was before—Apple has changed the way the installer works, and making an install disk manually is more difficult than it used to be. Before we get started, here’s what you’ll need:
An 8GB or larger USB flash drive, or an 8GB or larger partition on some other kind of external drive
The OS X 10.9 Mavericks installer from the Mac App Store in your Applications folder. The installer will delete itself when you install the operating system, but it can be re-downloaded if necessary.
The latest beta of the Lion Diskmaker app, available here (as of this writing, version 3 beta 3 is the most recent). This app is free to download, but the creator accepts donations if you want to support his efforts.
An administrator account on the Mac you're using to create the disk.
    The easy way
Enlarge / Lion Diskmaker remains the easiest, most user-friendly way to get this done.
    Andrew Cunningham
Once you've obtained all of the necessary materials, unzip the Lion Diskmaker app and run it. The app can currently make installers for OS X 10.7, 10.8, and 10.9, but we're only interested in Mavericks today.
Lion Diskmaker has actually been around since the days of OS X 10.7 (which explains the name), but it's more important now because Apple has made alterations to the installer that prevent the old Disk Utility method from working.
It's still possible to create a disk manually using a Terminal command (which we'll go into momentarily), but Lion Diskmaker presents an easy GUI-based way to do it that is less intimidating to most people.
One note of caution: Lion Diskmaker no longer supports creating OS X install DVDs. This isn't going to be a problem for any Mac that can actually install Mavericks, but if you'd rather use a disc than a USB drive you're apparently out of luck.
Anyway, select OS X 10.9 in Lion Diskmaker and the app should automatically find the copy you've downloaded to your Applications folder, but clicking "Use another copy" will let you browse the drive if you happen to have moved it.
It will then ask you where you want to copy the files—click "An 8GB USB thumb drive" if you have a single drive to use, or "Another kind of disk" to use a partition on a larger drive or some other kind of external drive.
Choose your disk (or partition) from the list that appears, verify that you'd like to have the disk (or partition) erased, and then wait for the files to copy over. The process is outlined in screenshots below.
    The only-slightly-less-easy way
If you don't want to use Lion Diskmaker for some reason, poster tywebb13 on the MacRumors forums has your hookup. Assuming that you have the OS X Mavericks installer in your Applications folder and you have a Mac OS X Extended (Journaled)-formatted volume named "Untitled" mounted on the system, you can create a Mavericks install drive by typing the following command into the Terminal.
    sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app --nointeraction
The command will erase the disk and copy the install files over. Give it some time, and your volume will soon be loaded up with not just the OS X installer, but also an external recovery partition that may come in handy if your hard drive dies and you're away from an Internet connection.
Whichever method you use, you should be able to boot from your new USB drive either by changing the default Startup Disk in System Preferences or by holding down the Option key at boot and selecting the drive. Once booted, you'll be able to install or upgrade Mavericks as you normally would.

  • Black screen for few seconds and only mouse can be seen and moved

    Hi all,
Sometimes, after logging in appears the desktop and programs, but after few seconds, the screen goes black, only mouse can be seen and moved, and after few seconds again it go to sleep mode. why ?
after this I log in again and it works just fine.
    Thanks,
    Harry

This is not at all clear.  What do you mean by "the preview screen".  Do you mean Outlook invokes the Preview app or what.
Please take the time to describe the situation, your steps taken, what you observe in clear detail using accurate descriptions.  Can't help you if you continue to be vague in what you write, I'm sorry.
If it is an Outlook issue, you'll need to take it up in the Microsoft forums as well maybe.

  • Open window reverts to home screen every 20 seconds.

I open my email account open, or any page for that matter, it displays fine for about 10 to 15 seconds and then it automatically reverts back to my home page. Strange screens pop up and disappear in the process.

What browser are you using and is pop-up blocker enabled.
Run a full scan with your antivirus software.
If able describe the strange pop-up you are getting.
Please mark my post as SOLVED if it has resolved your problem. It helps others with similar situations.

  • Nano 7g black screen after few seconds

I have the nano 7 and when I dont touch the display it gets black, also after 1 minute. Then I have to press the on/off button for 1 sec. and it goes again. Can I deactivate this so that I have light screen for longer time? Thanks in advance

There is not.  If you are having problems with the music pausing after the display goes to sleep, make sure your headphones are plugged all the way in, meaning there the white part of the headset is flush with the body of the Nano.

  • ALV not getting refreshed when call screen is executed second time

I have 2 screens 9001 and 9002. In 9001 , I am displaying the fields of a database table in a Table Control. The user has to select some of those fields and click on a button 'Generate ALV'. After clicking , the control navigates to 9002 where I am displaying ALV with data in the selected fields(the other fields remain empty). (using custom container)
Now there is BACK button in 9002 where i have written LEAVE TO SCREEN  9001. After this if the user again make changes in column selection and click on 'Generate ALV' , then still the old alv data is displayed. (Mind you the structure of alv is same , only the selected fields should show data).
I am using REFRESH_ALV_DISPLAY also and when i tested this function independently , its working fine (although for interactive alv in the same screen).
I am making use of <fs> for dynamic internal table and i checked it using breakpoints , during the 2nd time , it contains the correctly updated data so i think the problem lies with alv

Altough it's not a really nice solution... Why using 2 screens for example? you could use two containers instead...
Also I would recommand playing with the new salv class for your grids.
Anyway don't hesitate to give feed-back.
