Refurbishment with no serialisation of materials

Hi Friends ,
I have one doubt regarding refurbishment process .
As far as I know we can implement it in two ways :
1) with serialization of material
2) without serialization also .
Without Serialization we can follow these steps :
1) Create and order with IW81 .
2) mention the material no which is to be refurbished .
This material can be any spare for which inventory is maintained .
3) in header maintain from plant,to plant and other imp data .
4)Release and save order.
5) Go to MB11 and save document for Goods movement - > to order .
6) Go to IW8W and save goods receipt document .
7) Close order .
If serialization is implemented then only extra thing we can do it that in refurbishment order we can specify individual material to be refurbish by mentioning the serial number under object list .
Can some body also guide , to effect the avg moving price of the spare what is necessary if serialization is not there .
Because I have done the above 7 steps but the avg moving price is not effected .
Also please correct me if the above mentioned steps are wrong .
Regards
PM

I fear that you entered from & to for Plants & storage locations with the same value.
Actually refurbishment process will be done to increase the value / life of the component.
If not valuation type, atleast storage location else plant should be different.
To activate & create split valuation, do the config in OMW0 & OMWC.

  • Refurbished with retina vs. new w/o retina

Hi there -- I'm looking for a laptop for my bf for Christmas.  I am a teacher, so I get the educator discount, and right now there is a Macbook pro (non retina) for 999.  OR there is a macbook pro WITH retina that's refurbished for the same price.
I know that refurbished computers are like new, but I'm still drawn to the idea of getting him something brand new.  On the other hand, I know the pro without retina might be discontinued soon, and I don't know if that will turn it into a bad investment somehow...
I had considered Air, but I feel like those just might not be the best choice for his "main" computer.  He's not a gamer (occasionally plays, but not often), and he doesn't have large data needs (doesn't do video editing, etc.), but I still feel like the air wouldn't be quite right...
He's been using a crappy small computer (I don't know what brand) that always has bugs and weird things going on, so anything will be an upgrade, and he borrows my mac all the time, so I thought this would be the way to go.  He wouldn't really care about the retina display, but I figure if it's the same price and essentially new...Anyways, I don't know:P
So: Macbook pro refurbished with retina, or Macbook pro brand new???

For many the non-Retina model is preferred for its upgradeability, something the Retina models don't offer. On the other hand the non-Retina model is from 2012, and although new it will not be updated by Apple. It seems Apple may not continue to offer a non-Retina model in the future. The Retina model offers better screen resolution than the non-Retina model. So there are trade-offs you will want to consider in making your decision.

  • PO for transport and connection with price of the materials

    Hi all,
I have a little problem here and I would appreciate any kind of
    help and advice!
If I make one PO for goods to one vendor, and differend PO for
transport of goods to differend vendor how can I link this
second PO with the first in order to increase the price of the
materials?  I cannot use the transport as a condition in the PO
for the goods, it is required to make second PO for the value of
transport. Also it is required to increase the value of the
materials with the price of the transport, so I can't just put
    the transport in cost center.
Please, help! What can I do in this case?

    There is no standard way.
Only way transport costs can be added is through 'Delivery condition types' in PO.
    Through custom programs, try this:
    1) Enter delivery condition type with minimum value (e.g. 1 USD or 1 INR).
Indicate the Freight PO no & Item in some field in PO (or in a Z-table to link the freight PO)
    2) During MIRO (use INVOICE_UPDATE BADI), fill the values for freight condition from freight PO.
    Best regards

  • Problem with PGI for serialized materials

    Hello
We have created a delivery out of a stock transport order.
The materials are picked and we have specified which serial number were picked (the material has a serial number profile).
When performing the post goods issue for the delivery, the following error message occurs:
"Stock data of serial number 12345678 not suitable for movement
Serial number 12345678 cannot be used here"
I check the status of the related equipment via IE03 and the status is EDEL ESTO.
Could someone please help out on what is causing this error message to occur and how we can proceed with the PGI?

  • CRM Campaign with all elements (including materials) extractor to BW

    Hi
I have tried to find a solution to extract campaign from CRM to BW. In our solution we need all details including 0material used in the campaign.
Todayu2019s solution is based on viewu2019s on tables in CRM, but this solution has not any delta, and deletion done in CRM will not be visible in BW (without deletion and full reload)
Is there any other solution on this ?
    Kind regards
    Ola Einar Langen

    Hi Ciro,
I agree with Michael, well that's from my experience.
What you need to do in CRM download Customizing Object
(tcode R3AC3) and download Business Object for
MATERIAL (tcode R3AC1). To start download use R3AS.
If you set the range of material you need to download
into CRM (in Business Object MATERIAL), you don't need
to run this steps everytime. It will happend automatically
I am not saying that downloading product from R/3 without
any problem. At first time, you will face that some
object need to be downloaded properly before you can
download Material (first download customizing object).
And you need to prepare Org Model in CRM also in order
to use these products in CRM transaction later.
These are basic steps need to be done (once) before
you can proceed to use it in any CRM document/transaction.
    Cheers,
    Gun.

  • Problem with '-' (dash) in BEx web analyzer

    Hi All,
we are having a strange problem with 0BPartner and 0Material. Our BPartner and Material have '-'(dash) sign as part of key. While selecting this BPartner/Material in Bex Analyzer, we do not have any problem, but when we try to select the same Bpartner/Material in BEx Web Analyzer, it puts an escape char in from of the dash. For eg:
If i select the Bpartner "1234-5467" then in Web Analyzer selection box, it is displayed as  "1234\-5467" in the selection screen.
If i do a search on 1234-5467, it returns zero value. But if i do a search on 1234\-5467, then i get the search hit.
If i enter the Bpartner in the selection window directly and If i do not put the escape char, then it considers the input as range 1234 - 5467 and returns me no value in the report output.
Has anyone had this type of issue? Please respond.
    Thanks
    Niveda

    Thanks Olivier,
Sorry if you had misunderstood my question. They are 2 different Info objects. and i am having problem searching values in each one of these info objects.
Let me explain it with an example.
    Scenario:
Let say company defines material in the following format.
    "123", "456", "788", "345"....etc.
And I have a report which has material as input selection.
To run this report with single material i enter "123" in the selection screen
To run this report with a range of materials, I need to enter 123 - 456 in the selection.
    I have no Issues
    Scenario 2.
Consider a case if the materials are defined in SAP as "001-1234", "987-234"
    "123-234" etc.
In this scenario, to run the same report for 1 material, i will enter 001-1234. But now the question is how will BW system interpret this material entry.
    Is this 1 single material(001-1234) or a material range (001 - 1234)??
We have issue here. The system considers this material "001-1234" as a range (001 to 1234) instead of single material and gives me zero output.
    Any help??

  • T-code for getting consumptions / usage on special stock Q materials?

    Hi,
I am facing an issue: special stock Q is not included in all T-codes that I know for getting the consumptions / usage over a period.
--> MC.9, MCBE etc.. are all not showing any results for those kind of materials.
I found the explanation: it's depending on special stock valuation indicator (Blank, A or M), and only A permits to see the consumptions with MCxx T-codes, which is not the one used in the plant I'm currently working in (M)
Since this valuation indicator is a FICO defined parameter, I cannot make it changed to be able to check those materials usage.
Anyone has a tip or know a way to get usage on special stock Q materials?
    Thanks for any help!

    Hi Sanil Bhandari,
    Thanks for trying to help.
Unfortunately MMBE is a snapshot of stock level and reservations by storage location on a single material, and does not display the consumption over a predefined period.
I am still looking for any solution that works with special stock Q materials.

  • Restrict Equipment Master (with serial numbers) creation

    Hello All,
I am faced with an issue where the client will be using Serial Numbers for 2 sets of materials. I have assigned a Serial Number profile to these materials in Material Master.
I am able to create equipment master data for these materials with serial numbers without any issue.
However, I am also able to create equipment master data (with serial numbers) for materials to which I have not assigned a Serial Number profile.
Is there a way to restrict the creation of equipment master data (with serial numbers)  to only those material that have a Serial Number profile assigned in material master data...?
    Thanks
    Jensi

    Thanks for the reply Amuthan.
Unlike what you wrote in the reply, the system does allow me to create/save a equipment number for those serial numbers that I assign to materials that do not have a serial number profile.
Is there any validation, any check or something of that sort that I can activate so that the system will prevent assignment of serial numbers (and in turn creation of equipment master data) for those materials which do not have a serial number profile assigned in the material master data?
    Thanks
    Jensi

  • Inventory Valuated Stock Value is not matching with R/3

    Dear Friends,
we are in a big mess.Needed your help urgently
We are in sap netweaver 2004s.We are implementing the standard business content only for one of our client. We have loaded the Inventory data into BW by following "How to handle the Inventory Management" document.
We have loaded the inventory data into 0IC_C03 using standard transferrules and update rules.
    The sequence we followed as:
    IN R/3
Filled the setup tables for during the posting free time(non-business hours)
    Stock intialization
    Material Movements
    Evaluations
    IN BW
We had loaded the data into only 0IC_C03 cube using standard update rules(no changes done)
2LIS_03_BX-Generate intial stock with no marker update unchecked
2LIS_03_BF-Full update with no marker update checked
2LIS_03_UM-Full update with no marker update checked
When we compared the data between R/3 and BW they are many materials "Valuated Stock Value" is not matching with R/3.For some materials value is matching with R/3 but for some other materials its not matching with R/3.Some materials are showing the negative figures for Valuated Stock Value.
But the valuated quantity value is exactly matching with R/3 for all the materials.
We have tryed to many ways in the past 10 days to find out the solution. We have followd the notes 589024 and implemented the formula. But no luck so far.
Needed your help..Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Please help us with your inputs.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Soujanya

    Hi Sudheer,
No We haven't implemented this note.
In start routine we already have the first start routine in the note.
    INSERT BEGIN
      loop at DATA_PACKAGE.
        if DATA_PACKAGE-stockcat eq 'V' or
           DATA_PACKAGE-stocktype eq 'V'.
          delete DATA_PACKAGE.
        endif.
      endloop.
if abort is not equal zero, the update process will be canceled
      ABORT = 0.
    INSERT END
We should comment the above start routine and follow the remaining section as below?
    ==========================================================
    Notes:
However, if you want a report of these consumption values, proceed as follows:
    1. Do not use the start routine listed above.
    2. Create two new key figures (cumulative values):
       1. Material consumption value (ZVERWERT, for example) with unit 0BASE_UOM
       2. Material consumption quantity (ZVERMENGE, for example) with unit 0LOC_CURRCY
    3. Include these in the InfoCube definition.
    4. Update these key figures from 2LIS_03_BF as follows:
    -> material consumption value:
    IF ( COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '100'   "Other Issues
        OR COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '101'   "Returns / Vendor
OR COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '104'   "Material Transfer
OR COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '105'   "Stock Adjustment InvD
OR COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '106'   "Stock Adjustment Other
OR COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '110' ) "Issues from Stock
                                                "Transfers
       AND COMM_STRUCTURE-bwapplnm EQ 'MM'
only movements which are relevant for stock control
       AND COMM_STRUCTURE-cppvlc <> 0
       AND COMM_STRUCTURE-stockcat EQ 'V'
       AND COMM_STRUCUTRE-stocktype EQ 'V'.
    result value of the routine
        RESULT = -1 * COMM_STRUCTURE-cppvlc.
if the returncode is zero, the result will be updated
        RETURNCODE = 0.
    ELSEIF ( COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '000'   "Other Receipts
        OR COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '001'   "Goods Receipt/Vendor
        OR COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '004'   "Material Transfer/"Receipt
OR COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '005'   "Stock Adjustment InvD
OR COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '006'   "Stock Adjustment Other
OR COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '010' ) "Receipt from Stock
                                                "Transfer
only movements which are relevant for stock control
       AND COMM_STRUCTURE-cppvlc <> 0
       AND COMM_STRUCTURE-stockcat EQ 'V'
       AND COMM_STRUCUTRE-stocktype EQ 'V'.
    result value of the routine
        RESULT = COMM_STRUCTURE-cppvlc.
if the returncode is zero, the result will be updated
        RETURNCODE = 0.
      ELSE.
if the returncode is not equal zero, the result will not be updated
        RETURNCODE = 4.
      ENDIF.
if abort is not equal zero, the update process will be canceled
      ABORT = 0..
    -> material consumption quantity:
The code is the same, but COMM_STRUCTURE-cpquabu replaces COMM_STRUCTURE-cppvlc.
-> The characteristic value calculation is the same for the other key figures.
    5. Update these key figures from the 2LIS_03_UM in the same way.

  • Running MPS also runs MRP type PD materials

    Hello experts,
In ECC 6.0, we have certain critical FINI materials to run with MPS ( ie type M0) while there are other FINI materials ( non critical) to run on MRP ( ie type PD).
The issue we are finding is that ECC running MPS even for other MRP driven FINI materials in Tcode : MD40 ( with the Process MRP materials field checked). What we actually need is that MPS run for only those FINI materials that have MPS (ie type M0) & it's direct subassemblies of those materials which are MRP type PD.
We do not want the MPS run to drive MRP for other FINI materials that have MRP type PD.
I have checked SAP notes and they had similar issue & hence have a resolution note for earlier versions of SAP ( 3.0 to 4.6 versions). So this issue seems to be occouring again in ECC.
Has anyone else come across this issue in ECC 6.0? If yes how it was resolved.
    Appreciate your feedback.
    Thanks,
    Ram

    Hi Ram,
Just to understand the query better, can you let me know why you dont want the MPS run to drive the MRP run for other finished parts which are marked for MRP run? Is it that these parts are not to be planned?

  • Error: Initial Download of Materials

    Hello,
I came across these errors with initial download for materials. I had downloaded relevant cutomizing objects, dnl_cust_prod, -prod1, -prod3, -plnt etc.
Pls suggest any resolutions for the issues listed here.
1 Assign product &1 to a category from hierarchy &2
2 Data on set type & cannot be maintained
3 Logical system &1 does not exist in table TBDLS
4 Category for R/3 product hierarchy & does not exist
5 No descriptions exist for product &1
6 Enter a base unit of measure
    Issues:
    2. Set types 'COMM_PR_MAT' and 'BBPM_PR_GENERAL'are missing in CRM. Can these be entered manually in CRM. These set types were not created in CRM with customizied download of objects.
    3. Does logical system name and RFC destination name has to be maintained same?
    4. Can the specific category be created manually in CRM. OR does it have to be done with cutomized objects download.
    5. Description is given in R/3 for the product
    6. Is the 'base unit of measure' different from 'unit of measure'. How to specifically maintain 'base unit of measure' in CRM

  • MM Account determination with valuated/non valuated sales order stock!

    Hi All,
I have been trying to set up MM account determination in our project for sales order assigned POs.What I have observed is that when I have a PO with sales order assignment and according to requirement class (coming through reqt type) in sales order it is valuated sales order stock then in the PO we get the stock account determined through BSX key. But when it is non valuated sales order stock we get a different account assigned through GBB-VKA key. In both the cases the account assignment category in the PO is "E".
Can someone please explain what is the connection between valuated/non valuated sales order stock and MM account determination and if what is happening is right from account determination point of view?
    Regards,
    V S

    These are two different postings:
    BSX: stock posting
GBB: Offsetting entry for stock posting
    Stock posting (BSX)
This transaction is used for all postings to stock accounts. Such
    postings are effected, for example:
    -   In inventory management in the case of goods receipts to own
stock and goods issues from own stock
    -   In invoice verification, if price differences occur in
