REFX - RENTAL OBJECT - MASS FIELD CHANGE / UPDATE

Dear Team,
I would like to have a clarification related to SAP- REFX Lease in Scenario.
Issue is I have thousands of Rental objects are already Created.
But Based on the Rental object i would like to Update the "NAME OF THE RO" ( description ) field need to change now ( for all RO's ).
Is there any way to do it through UPLOAD / Any other automation activity available ???

Dear Subbarao Narne.
As you already know, Mass Change transactions of RE-FX is just for Responsibility , Organizational Assignment and Update Objects.
So, If you want to mass change the VIBDRO-XMETXT field as description, you can consider 2-options;
1) Use function module : You can use this function in the LSMW.
       - API_RE_RO_CHANGE or BAPI_RE_RO_CHANGE (BUS1504_CHANGE)
2) Direct Changes on the table list (Not recommend)
       - Case of your requirement field as VIBDRO-XMETXT is not key field, so even if you try to change
         this filed by changing of direct table list , Actually, that is no problem~
         (But this method is not recommended)

Scripting Mass Caption Changes/Updates

Hi,
I'm looking for some pointers or help in solving a problem. I would like to synchronize (one time) the Version Names I have for a large quantity of photos in my Library to the Caption IPTC tag. I'm semi-proficient with Applescript however it doesn't appear that the Applescript dictionary for Aperture allows me to determine selected images, so my original plan to determine the version name of the selected image and then copy it to the Caption won't work out as planned.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could handle this? I would prefer the description's I've given pictures with the version name were stored in the Caption value.

I've written a pretty crude but workable Applescript that allows you to synchronize (merge or overwrite) the Version Name and Caption values for selected images in Aperture.
I make no guarantees as to how well it will work but in my limited testing it seems to work okay (no smoke, no lost images... so far so good!).

Automatically update measurement in Rental Object

Dear Expert,
Normally when we change the measurement in Architectural object, the measurment will be automatically updated to others Architectural object related to it.
For example i
f we expand the measurement in the building which is under the business entity, system will issues a message to update the
measurement for others architectural objects in above hierachy.
Is it possible to do the same function for the rental object such as room (RU02)under the building (RU01)

Thank you very much for your advice. I found that, the measurement amount of RO can be automaticcally update if it link to architectural object with full assignment. When the measument of architectural object is changed, the system will automatically update rentsl object assigned to it.
However, my requirement is to make the RO to be automatically update the measument amount in the related hierachy when change is made from RO, not AO.
is there anyway to make this possible?

Hi,
Goto CMOD, Goto "Goto" in menu \ Text enhancements \ keywords \ change, enter the data element "REGIO", write your description.
But this is not at all advisable bcz it reflects in all the screens of SAP wherever this field exist.
As address fields almost uses by all modules, dont do any changes and try to convince the business.

Change measurement tab on rental object

Hello experts,
My requirement is to gray-out or eliminate certain fields on the measurement tab (MEASFRO and MEASTO) for buildings and rental objects.
The output displays on SAP standard ALV output display.
Please advise if it is possible to do this in configuration without a custom ALV development.

Hello Re_flex....thanks again but I am missing a step here as I was able to hide the column by right-clicking but when I click on the layout there is no layout that I can select. Do you know if these layouts are set in config or not as my layout setting displays 'X' user specific or 'A' ALL but when I select these nothing is displays and when I save I get a message back 'No selection'

Mass Deletion of Rental Objects

Hi,
You can see two text boxes in the left pane of RE80 Transcation, In the first box enter "My Objects" Second text box enter "User ID of the Creator". Then system shows list of all rental objects, from which you can select and delete as explained above. These two boxes are visible only if you are using latest GUI.
Note: In the customization of RE-FX. SPRO-> Tools->Archiving->Deletion of Real estate objects without Archiving check box should be flagged to delete objects.

Hi,
You also have Tcode MASS for more mass modification.
Use object type BUS1001 and generate. Then you have to know the tables where the field you want to modify is.
Pick the fields in their folder and generate again. Then in selection pick the materials or use other selection criteria. Generate again.
In the upper side of the screen insert the data and click the button 'carry out a mass change'.

Field catalogue update problem

Dear Friends;
I have a problem with field catalog update of ALV grid(ABAP Objects not just fm use). I have designed an initial screen for selections and there are two pushbuttons here. According to the pushbutton selection the field catalogue values change, ie. some fields are hidden etc. After the first selection this works but if i exit the second screen and go to the selection screen to change my selection the fieldcatalogue is not updated accordingly altough i call the relevant fm. i fill in fieldcat with fm LVC_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE.
Can someone suggest a solution pls?

SNUM - Object - MASS - Mass maintenance log

Hi All
I have to extend the number ranges for Object - MASS - Mass maintenance log in SNUM. Currently the number ranges are starts from 000001 to 999999.
If, I have add another interval as 02 and enter from 000001 to 999999, system says the number ranges are over lapping.
Please give some views to proceed.

Sorry for the late reply.
I am not sure about the problem. But we can see the number ranges for MASS Maintenance Log, is nearing to the end. So i have contacted SAP and told to reset in MSL2. But his mass maintenance is not updated once we do mass PO changes. And i am not sure when this is got update.

I did an ALTER TABLE1 to change FIELD1 from varchar(5) to varchar(7). TABLE1.FIELD1 is in VIEW1. When I do a SELECT * FROM VIEW1 it shows 7 characters. But when I look at VIEW1 in object explorer (after refreshing), FIELD1 is varchar(5). Do I care?
Should I recreate the VIEW1?

If you have refreshed using sp_refreshview stored procedure then you are good, if not then here you go...
The metadata for the view is not automatically updated when the tables are modified.
The fix is to either drop and re-create or alter the view or to use the sp_refreshview stored procedure.

SharePoint 2013 Active directory import -Manager field not updating
Concern/Issue-
We are using SharePoint and configured the Active Directory Import .First import it seems everything is working fine and OOB Organization chart built using User profile data is coming out right.
Now the user is moved from one Organization Unit to Another.
Now our Manager field is not Updating .There is change in AD manager attribute but not reflecting in the SharePoint User profile.
Manger field is mapped to "manager" attribute in SharePoint.
We tried removing the user and Re-Import using Incremental import but no luck.

Moving a user from one OU to another in AD won't normally change the Manager attribute in AD. You would need to edit the user's organization settings to change the manager value in AD. I've also seen these changes not be picked up unless something
other than just the manager field in AD changing. Try changing something like Office location and see if the manager change is picked up by AD Import.

Exchange Connector 3.0 (Hotfix Release) Error - Error Message=The key value of an object cannot be changed.

I am running Service Manager 2012 with the Exchange Connector 3.0 RTM (Re-release Version). The issue I have is that when an e-mail is processed that is trying to update the status or event log of an incident, the Exchange Connector encounters an error
and will not update the object. The Operations Manager log denotes:
Exchange Connector: Unable to process mail item. Subject="Close Ticket: [IRXXXXX]", Error Message=The key value of an object cannot be changed.
This will happen on a seemingly random selection of Incident work items. I cannot correlate them with a specific template, exchange connector, or incident tier queue that could be causing the issue. I can recreate the way a specific ticket
was created and update it through e-mail without issue, and the next ticket can cause the error to trigger.
I have already opened a Microsoft Support Case using our Software Assurance agreement. After a few months of troubleshooting the issue and trying different fixes, Microsoft support said they were unable to fix the problem and that we would need to
purchase Premier support to go further. At this point I thought I would reach out to the community for ideas.
The setup I have for the Exchange connectors is as follows.
I have three separate Exchange connectors set up to three different mailboxes. One Exchange connector processes external support tickets and applies a specific template. Another processes client support tickets and applies a different template.
And the last Exchange connector processes internal tickets and also processes the updates of tickets created by the other two exchange connectors.
Here are the fixes I've attempted so far:
1. Changed the templates that each Exchange connector applies.
2. Changed the management pack that each template is stored in.
3. Checked my management pack(s) for extended classes by searching for Extension="true" (This was also checked by Microsoft support)
4. Deleted each Exchange connector and recreated each connector
5. Deleted each Exchange connector, deleted the management pack, and reinstalled the management pack and connectors
6. Repeated Step 5, deleted Microsoft.SystemCenter.ExchangeConnector.dll and Microsoft.SystemCenter.ExchangeConnector.resources.dll and then installed the Exchange connector Re-release version 3.0 Published 10/7/2013 (which is supposed to address this
issue)
7. Deleted the HealthServiceState folder and restarted the Management Service
I'm not really sure what to do at this point. I've put many hours into customizing my installation to get it working for my organization so reformatting and starting from scratch would be a nightmare scenario. This environment is in production.
I do have a band-aid in place using Orchestrator. Basically I have a monitor task searching for the error message and when it finds one it searches the mailbox for the offending e-mail and applies either the Resolve or Close status change that is requested
from the user. However, I do not have it working to update the ticket if a comment is applied to the incident. If anyone is in this position and needs to know how to apply this Orchestrator task I am willing to provide my workflow.
I am new to the community and am already impressed with the amount of help and effort there is in this forum. I appreciate in advance any help that is provided and am open to any ideas at this point. I can post more information as needed.

Yes that is the whole template. However, I did confirm that this is only happening to incidents where either of two situations triggers a runbook to fire and modify the incident. When I remove the activity from the incident it does clear the
issue. For some background the first Runbook Activity set's the first response date when an incident is resolved if the first response value is null. The second assigns the incident to a user upon creation if the title contains assignto:username;

Last Played, Play Count, Ratings fields not updating

iTunes 6.0.1.3, 3rd Gen iPod, iPod Shuffle 2005-09-23 firmware
After updating to iTunes 6.0.1.3 I was forced to also update my iPod firmware to 2005-09-23. Since then, the last played, play count and ratings fields associated with music tracks no longer updates when I re-synch my 3G iPod. Ive tested with ripped AAC, ripped MP3, older (FairPlay 1) purchased music as well as new (FairPlay 2) tracks. No matter what Ive tried, the dates, counts and raings remain frozen in their pre-update state.
However, these fields are updated for Podcast tracks!
I also ran a test with my Shuffle. Music file play counts are updated as usual. I do notice that the Last Played field within iTunes is updated with the date and time of re-sync. Has it always been this way? I havent paid attention to this since I first purchased my Shuffle but I thought it only updated play count, not Last Played.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Found the problem. After my iPod didn't update after purchasing new songs, I checked my iPod options. For some reason my iTunes iPod Options changed from "Automaticaly update ..." to "Manually manage ...". Once I set this back to automatic everything updated fine.
It is interesting that even when "Manually manage" was selected, a new Podcast trak was downloaded to the iPod and, after listening to it, the Last Played and Play Count fields were updated.
Also, regarding my question about the Last Played update with my Shuffle, I learned that iTunes 5 implemented a change to update this field with the current date and time once the Shuffle is re-synch'd.

Assign meter that already created from PM to rental object

Dear Expert,
Please kindly advice on how to assign the meter that already created (already has the measuring point ) into pooled space or rental object.
When I use REBDRO --> Meter Tab
the transaction allows only creation of new measuring point , Field Measuring Point is disable and allow to assign internally from the system

Hi Tima,
I dont think it is possible to assign the measuring point already created to RE Objects. As, if we go to transaction IK01 we select the Measuring point object as "IME" and then select the object type and ID. If we use any other measuring point object we dont have the option to enter the Rental object type and rental object ID to create the measuring point. So any measuring point created with any other Measuring point object cant be attached to the rental objects.
Even if we directly create measuring point from rental object, the object is created with "IME" Measuring point object.
