    Hello,
Oracle provides instructor led training only for Oracle WebLogic Portal 10g. I'm wondering, where can i buy self study CD or kit for Oracle WebLogic Portal 10g Certification?
    Thanks

    Hello,
I have found certification for "Oracle Weblogic Portal 10g Developer" in the oracle university site. The latest version of BEA weblogic being 10.3 and we are currently working on the same, I would like to know whether there is certification exam for Weblogic Portal 10.3 Developer.A assume you have found:

Which is the relevant exam. You can double change by going down the list of ceriifcation exams:

My understanding is that for developers often releases are broadly similar and therefore the effort in updating the exam is simply unsustainable. For say Oracle DBA exams the situation may be different as their may be signifcant changes/enhancements between releases that are important to be aware of to manager the database effectively.
Please be aware I am not massively familiar with weblogic and myy anwer is not authorative.

  • OCE 10g - RAC 10g Certification

    Hello all;
I have passed on all courses for OCP 11g certification (1z0-051, 1z0-052 and 1z0-053).
I just scheduled my ADM 11g WORKSHOP II to november, 21th, in order to submit the course form, and get my OCP certification.
I have passed today on RAC 10g exam (1z0-048), since I know RAC 10g from long time ago.
    My question is:
My RAC 10g certification Will be valid after I submit my OCP 11g course? I look at education.oracle.com and I notice that 11g OCP will be accepted for
    RAC 10g certification (http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=186)
    Is that correct?
P.S: I know I`m not following the common path, but I know RAC 10g well, and I`m getting certified on products that I know well first.
    tks

tksWhen you submit and get verified a valid training course for 11g DBA OCP then that fulfills the 11g DBA OCP requirements so you should be awarded 11g DBA OCP and then that means you have satisified the requirements for RAC 10g OCE (10/11g DBA OCP plus 1z0-048 pass so you should be awarded that also). It all happens automatically after your 11g DBA training is successfully validated.

    Hello,
I am a 8i OCP, then last year, I want to upgrade to 10G OCP. In last Decemeber, as Oracle website directed, I took and passed IZO-045 (Oracle Database 10G DBA new features for Oracle 8i OCPs) , (the exam centre is Pearsonvue), To my surpirse, I still didn't get 10G certification from Oracle.

I have not received my certification success kit. What do I do?
If your package has not yet arrived, you should:
    - Allow up to 8 weeks to receive your kit after you have completed your final certification requirement.
    - Visit certification.oracle.com and select your certification path to ensure you have completed all requirements.
    - Check certview.oracle.com to confirm that all exams were taken under the same Oracle Testing ID.
    - Go to Pearson Vue Website and select "Personal Info" to ensure your address is correct.
    - If you still have not received your certificate after the waiting period and your address is correct in your Pearson Vue profile, please send an email message to [email protected]
Go to the Oracle Certification FAQ for more information on how to rectify any issues with the points above. Look under ‘Certificate and Logo.’

  • Oracle 10g Certification

I want to do Oracle 10g certification( 1z0-042 and 1z0-043 ). Do I have to take training course from ORACLE for
that. How much it will cost? Is there any other way like doing Oracle 9i DBA Track without this instructor led
    training programme.

That means I have to attend the course before taking the second exam 1z0-043.The before* bit is not true ... the order can be either way .....
Just to be clear you can take 1z0-043 before taking your hands on line course (which is what I did). The advantage in that is you dont have to fork out the money for the course before you've passed the exam, the disadvantage is it will probably take an extra 5 weeks before your OCP certificate comes in the post .. eg about 12 weeks in total after finishing the hands on course before you get your certificate ... ( in the meanwhile seek out [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I%27m_Still_Waiting] on iTunes)
I had similar choices to you - I was initiallially for choosing a 2 day 10g advanced pl/sql course (cheap) ... but the one i had seen got cancelled so 1 did a 5 day 11g RAC course instead. (expensive but good). Worth getting aware of the schedule of courses at locations convenient to youself and costs of courses and seek out the one with the best cost/benefit for yourself (that is an acceptable hands on for 10g dba).

  • Oracle 9i Or 10G Certification

    Hi,
I am a Associate Software QA Engineer who is doing QA in
DataWare housing tool. I get the exposure to Oracle8i,9i,10g. But it is not extensive DBA exposure, It is more of testers exposure. But I like to move in to DBA track. Which certification path should I choose. I have already studied for SQL exam paper (Oracle9i). But ,since Oracle 10G is around the corner, I am Confused what to choose ? Please give your advice.
    Yours,
    Rasika Karunathilaka

If you want to save money, there is a work around. The class for example will cost at least $1500 if you are in the United States. You may want to get certified in Oracle 8i (5 exams) and go on an upgrade path to 9i(1 exam) and 10g (1 exam). A total of 7 exams will cost you $875 in the United States. If you want to get certified in 9i and then take the upgrade path to 10g it will cost you $500 + $1500 + $125 = $2125 in the United States. Note that Oracle is retiring 8i exams at the end of this year.

  • Oracle 10g Certification Upgrade from 9i OCP

    Hi All,
I am OCP 9i.. If I give one upgrade paper, I will 10g certified..
    Question is:
Is it compulsary to take training from recognised centers to appear for the exam.. As when I did 9i certification, It was compulsary to do atleast one paper training from recognised centers.
    Thanxx in Advance.

If you took the exam for 9 you probably need it for 10 too. Have a look at education.oracle.com website for detailed upgrade instructrions for 1z-040 exam.
I have to do the same upgrade process.

  • REG : DBA Certification

    Hi All,
Im currently working in Remote desktop management. And have completed 9i OCA last month. Now i want to get into oracle DB administration and would require your advice.
Please suggest me whether i have to continue doing 9i OCP or concentrate on 10G....If 10G how do i go about it. Im still a beginner as far as oracle DB is concerned and require your valuable advice. I really want to get into oracle DB.
    Pls advice !
    Regards,
    Balaji.

I don't think you should drop 9i and go with 10g, as I already mentioned, but I think that the 10g track only has two exams!? Please correct me if i am wrong. This would mean that to get certified on 10g, you would only need to take 2 tests, although you would be retested on things you have already been certified for.
However, if you continue with 9i, you will need to take 3 tests to get to the same level of certification, DBA fundamentals II, performance tuning, then the upgrade from 9i to 10g.
I have passed 3 of the 9i OCP tests and only have 1 left ( i take the test tomorrow, so I'm pretty nervous right now), so for me this would not be an option, to drop 9i and go with 10g, but in your case, it isn't that clear cut and you should weigh up what your goal is. If you need to show potential employers competence with latest versions, and that is the only goal, then go for 10g. If you need the knowledge for a 9i production system then stick with 9i. I would be dubious about taking a track with only 2 exams...looks like Oracle has crammed in the knowledge a bit too much? You probably still have to learn the same stuff, but you are tested on much less, unless they have increased exam time to over 2 hours?

  • NewFeatures 10g Certification Test

    hello friends...
Im OCP 9i and I would like to hear some experiencie and opinions from you guys.
Its worth yet to get the NewFeatures10g exame? Does anyone know when is its deadline?
or is better to study and get the 11g newfeatures certification? Perhaps I have to get the 10gnewfeatures before proceding with the 11g test, but I dont know that information.....
    Tks a lot for everyone

    Hi,
You can get enough information from oracle.com
    http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=41&p_org_id=1001&lang=US&p_exam_id=1Z0_040
Coming to the deadline, Ask per my knowledge, I think Certificaitons exams are available for most of time, since it's 10g, still more and more time is there in order to deactivate this (I think it won't happen).
or is better to study and get the 11g newfeatures certification? Perhaps I have to get the 10gnewfeatures before proceding with the 11g test, but I dont know that information.....
I suggest that go for Step by Step policy else you might miss some features which are new in ORACLE 10g and Updated with further things in 11g.
So, in order to compare or to know the things and @performance level you better go for 10g and then 11g, that is the best way.

  • Reg:10g

hello all i want to write certification on oracle 10g OCA can anybody help me with the dumps of 10g .
to my email id [email protected]
what are the additional fetures of 10g compared to 9i.

no, noone is going to give you a cheatsheet to cram for the exam.
Such practices reduce the value of the cert to the point of worthlessness, degrading the effort people put in who do seriously study for it.

  • OCA 10g certification and prometric

I did my 1Z0-007 (SQL exam) last year at Prometric.
I know want to do my 1Z0-042 exam at the new test centre.
I have a couple of questions, once I pass my exam, will Oracle know that I also passed my 1Z0-007, and hence I will get my OCA certificate? Or do I have to do something extra?
And how long does it take to get the OCA certificate? And am I right in assuming that you do not need to attend training for OCA?
    Thank you.

Or do I have to do something extra? When you register with Pearson Vue you must give you Prometric Id. as the Oracle Testing Id. This is the key to them linking. If you exams are taking under different Oracle Testing Id's it is as though 2 different persons have taken the exams ... and certification will not be forthcoming. Your Old Prometric Id. is your Oracle Testing Id.
visit [http://www.oracle.com/education/certfication] support - FAqs for more and up to date info.
It also should be useful if you get registered on Certview to see how things are going [http://blogs.oracle.com/certification/2009/11/0080a.html]. Things take a 3 weeks to get to certview.
And how long does it take to get the OCA certificate? About 4-6 weeks.
And am I right in assuming that you do not need to attend training for OCA?Yes, There is no mandatory pre-requisite training to get a 10g DBA OCA certification
