REg Access Profile -View

Hi
I would like to know the access limit when i Use the acess profile for an object in related information section as 'View'.
Any inputs would be highly appreciated
Thank You
Meena

Hi,
The View access level is typically set in the Related Information of the given object.
When the access level is set to View, it will inherit the access level of the parent object.
for example: if Access Level for Account = Read/Edit and the Access Level in the Related Information of Account for Open Activities = View, then the access level for Open Activities will be inherited from Account, i.e. it too will be Read/Edit.
Note: Read Only is not equal to View.

  • REg Access profile

    Hi
In my default access profile, for activity i have given read/Edit.
under Account>Open Activity i have given read only
under SR> Open Activity I have given View access.
But in both the cases i.e activity of other users under Account and Activity of other Users under SR I am able to edit them . How is this posssible, as i have given access to edit only Activity of other users which is under SR.
Kindly help me with the same.

    Hi,
Are you a member of the Account Team? If so you may have permission to edit all associated records against that Account?
    Thanks

  • Data access in reports after changing Member Access profile

    Hi All
I made changes in the member access profile of a user (while current system was available for User Planning).
After making and applying these changes in Access profile, the Current view in the report accessible to user got updated.
But the problem was in reporting, where the updates didnot happen.
Please suggest for necessary steps so that user get updated report as per change in Member access profile.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Abhishek

    Hi Lokesh
    Thanks for the reply.
    1. Report is based on CV
    2. With another ID assigned to same member access profile, the report is showing complete data.
I mean with X user id 100 data sets are showing while with Y user id only 95 data sets. Where both X and Y are having same Member Access Profiles.

  • Access Profile

    Hi All,
I have a query on the access profile, for a single user who is assigned to a role called FIELD SALES has two access profiles DEFAULT & OWNER.
DEFAULT = Will be the acccess levels for the records not onwed by him & in the same book (book functionality enabled for company).
OWNER = Will be the access levels for the records owned by him.
Apart from this we can also assign a user to a BOOK with some other access profile say 'X'. In this case which will over ride default the access profile? The books access profile will overriede the default access profile ?
Please throw some light of these 3 access profiles.
My requirement is aparat from the default and owner access profile for a particular role, I have assigned one user to two books with different access profiles for each book. The issue is when I access a record which belongs to one book, the access profile related to book does not come into play instead the default access profile of the role comes into play.
Please give some clarifications on access profiles.
    Thanks
    Natraj

I think the View means the user can view the simple data from list or report, Read-only means the user not only can view the simple data from list or report, but also can click the linkage and view the detial page.
Hope it be helpfule for you.
    regards.

  • Member Access Profile - update from table MemberAccess

    Hello,
We need to do an update in all our member access profiles. As we have 710 profiles, it's very time consuming to update each of them seperately.
I was looking into the table MemberAccess profile to update the profiles. I manage to update all profiles with one query but unfortunately it seems that we still need to go into SAP BPC Admin to process each profile. If I don't process in SAP BPC Admin, I get the error in Excel: 'There is a problem in dimension file: Entity' and the current view in Entity dimension just shows ...more... instead of the correct security!
Is there another way of updating the MemberAccess profiles in 1 go, without needing to process it individually? This would save us a lot of time!
    Thanks,
    Sofie Luyten

    Sofie,
Are you assuming it didn't work because of the "Return Value = 0" result? That stored procedure isn't designed to return anything so whether it ran properly or not you wouldn't get much back (except an error message is something went very wrong).
The only way that you can know if it worked is to look at the acsEntity table and make sure it has all of the proper records. I guess you can also start up SQL Profiler before executing the stored procedure to see what the stored procedure runs and make sure that's what you want. I'm not sure how familiar you are with SQL though so that may not be helpful for you.

  • Grantable to team members in Access Profile

OD Help just mentions that "Profile can be assigned to team members" (pg.782).
Pls... where is that I can assign that profile to team members ? When looking into Account > Team Members I know I can assign access like View, Read/Only etc... I cannot see where would I assign a profile to a team member.
    Txs. for any help.
    Antonio

    Txs. Mani.
I've checked again... and I can add a User to an Account Team... and at that point define its role on the team, the account, contact and opp. access and as you've pointed out... The options are: Edit, Full, Readonly.
Now, my question is referring to associating an Access Profile as defined in User Management > Access Profiles. This association is what I am not able to see when adding a member to a team. So I still cannot see the use or consequence of the Grantable to team members option when defining the Access Profile.
    Txs. again for any help.

  • TACACS+ Accounting "Network Access Profile" name is missing

    Hello,
I have a problem trying to export logs to the Cisco ACS View from my ACS 4.2
In the document http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_secure_access_control_server_view/4.0/user/guide/appendixA.html Cisco states that one of the mandatory attributes for export to work is "Network Access Profile Name" under TACACS+ Accounting (under ACS 4.2 System configuration -> Logging settings). Well, I don't have this mandatory attribute listed in ACS under TACACS+ accounting log configuration. I tried to ignore this attribute, but then ACS View complains about null value for the attribute mentioned above.
Is this some bug in ACS View or ACS or maybe I simply missing something?;)
    Best Regards,
    Igor

Cisco created a new bug for it:

  • How to Access Maintenance View from a program

    Hi Experts,
I have created a maintenance view for a table. i want to insert data's into the table through the maintenance view. I don't know how to access the view, how to insert data into the Maintenance view. Please suggest me how to access the view from the program.
    with regards,
    James...
    Valuable answers will be rewarded...

    Hi,
What is the need to search for a program.
Use transaction SM30 or SE16 to create or maintain entries in the table.
e.g. if the Maintenance view is created on table A, then Goto transaction SM30 or SE16 and give the table name as A and proceed. This will automatically take u to the maintenance view on tha table A.

  • Error received while accessing a view made

    HI,
I have made a view and registered it to the application.
But in application, when i access the view , it gives the following error
We detected an Error which may have occurred for one or more of the following reasons:
Could not find 'Applet' named 'Account_ListApp_CDS'. This object is inactive or nonexistent.(SBL-DAT-00144)

Have you compiled the Applet into the SRF?
Just to be sure, check in the Applet (if not already done) and do a full compile.
Replace the SRF and see what happens.

  • Access a view on a 32 bit Oracle 9i  from a MS SQL 2008 R2 64 bit

NOt sure if this is the right forum for this.
We need to access a view on a 32 bit Oracle 9i - Release 9.2.0.8.0 database running on Windows 2003 Server, from a MS SQL 2008 R2 64 bit system running on Windows Server 2008 64 bit.

When yu want to access a view hosted in Oracle and retrieve data from this view in a MS SQl Server, then you need to use MS SQL Server Linked Server mechanism based on OLEDB/ODBC.
Since MS SQL Server this feature is integrated in MS Integration Services and more details can be found at the MS knowledge base.

  • We need to access a view on a 32 bit Oracle 9i  - Release 9.2.0.8.0 databas

    Hi
I don't know if this is the correct forum:
We need to access a view on a 32 bit Oracle 9i - Release 9.2.0.8.0 database running on Windows 2003 Server, from a MS SQL 2008 R2 64 bit system running on Windows Server 2008 64 bit.
The DBA for one of the vendors involved has concluded that it is not possible to link from 64 bit MS SQL to a 32 bit Oracle install.
If it is possible, can you advice what we need to do. Thank you.

    Wrong forum.
Only solution I can think to actually get to the view.
    1. SQL Server, in TSQL, alllows access to ODBC driver
    2. Use a ODBC driver that can access Oracle (which probably means any SQL driver that will install.)
