REg Access profile

Hi
In my default access profile, for activity i have given read/Edit.
under Account>Open Activity i have given read only
under SR> Open Activity I have given View access.
But in both the cases i.e activity of other users under Account and Activity of other Users under SR I am able to edit them . How is this posssible, as i have given access to edit only Activity of other users which is under SR.
Kindly help me with the same.

Hi,
Are you a member of the Account Team? If so you may have permission to edit all associated records against that Account?
Thanks

  • REg Access Profile -View

    Hi
I would like to know the access limit when i Use the acess profile for an object in related information section as 'View'.
Any inputs would be highly appreciated
    Thank You
    Meena

    Hi,
The View access level is typically set in the Related Information of the given object.
When the access level is set to View, it will inherit the access level of the parent object.
for example: if Access Level for Account = Read/Edit and the Access Level in the Related Information of Account for Open Activities = View, then the access level for Open Activities will be inherited from Account, i.e. it too will be Read/Edit.
Note: Read Only is not equal to View.

  • Will the iPhone 5 support BT Message Access Profile (MAP)?

Will the iPhone 5 support BT Message Access Profile (MAP)?

According to this article: http://www.macworld.com/article/1167240/ios_6_features_you_might_have_missed.htm l
It does...  I saw a photo of the relevant slide that was put up during the iOS 6 announcement, but am too lazy to look for it now.
It's possible it may not have made it into the final release. Apple never made any statements about it as far as I know beyond the slide referenced.
Near the end of the iOS portion of the keynote, Apple showed a slide listing a host of other features included in the iOS 6 update. Among those were Game Center challenges, the ability to connect Game Center friends from Facebook, VoiceOver improvements, personal dictionary in iCloud (for adding your own terms to the dictionary, which can sync between devices), and per-account signatures in Mail. Also on the list was improved privacy, which—as a new option in Settings—will let you control which apps can access which bits of personal data, like your Contacts, Calendar, or Photos. Other features on the list included autocorrection for every keyboard,Bluetooth MAP support (which is commonly used to help cars better offer hands-free communication with Bluetooth devices), kernel ASLR (which aims to make data even more impervious to snooping from malicious attackers), custom vibrations for alerts, redesigned stores (for the App and iTunes stores), IPv6 support for Wi-Fi and LTE, word highlights for speak selection, improved keyboard layouts, alarms with songs, and faster JavaScript in Safari. Apple also says iOS 6 includes a global HTTP proxy option, which would supplant the current approach, limited as it is to per-connection proxy settings."

Not sure; I haven't seen any documentation on it but I assume it would work for the 3GS or higher.  (Doesn't look like this has been updated to include the MAP feature: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3647.)

  • Cisco ACS 4.2.1.15 for Windows and Network Access Profiles

We are attempting to configure ACS 4.2.1.15 on Windows Server 2008 Member Server. Initially I only have the need to authenticate Network Admins for device administration and authenticate Windows AD groups using PEAP authentication. The general problem that I am having is that if I configure a Cisco 1200 Access Point  for PEAP and also setup The Access Point for Radius authentication pointed to the ACS server it always maps to the the first Network Access Profile and rather than it trying the second it will error sayiing some condition is not met depending on what changes I make. Can someone tell me what the criteria that is used to determine what NAP is used? According to the manual if all 4 criteria are not met then the Profile will not apply.
I am using one ACS group that is mapped to an AD group for Wireless Access and a Second ACS group mapped to an AD group that includes the Net Admins. This group mapping appers to be working as the user group name seems to mapped correctly in the logs.  In short I have tried only configuring the Wireless NAP to only Allow EAP authentication using PEAP EAP-MSCHAPv2 and the Netadmins profile to include all protocols. Bascially what happens is if I have the Wireless NAP first it works fine for PEAP authentication on Wireless but if I try to administer the access point and provide credentials I get a message in the failed log that the authentication profile is not allowed in this Network Access Profile. Why does this not just go onto the next Network Access profile?
I am familiar with version 3.2 but it does not seem to work the same.
Any help would be appreciated on what I am missing.
    Thanks

  • Data access in reports after changing Member Access profile

    Hi All
I made changes in the member access profile of a user (while current system was available for User Planning).
After making and applying these changes in Access profile, the Current view in the report accessible to user got updated.
But the problem was in reporting, where the updates didnot happen.
Please suggest for necessary steps so that user get updated report as per change in Member access profile.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Lokesh
    Thanks for the reply.
    1. Report is based on CV
    2. With another ID assigned to same member access profile, the report is showing complete data.
I mean with X user id 100 data sets are showing while with Y user id only 95 data sets. Where both X and Y are having same Member Access Profiles.

  • Message access Profile (MAP)

Is bluetooth Message Access Profile (MAP) plan to be supported by IOS5  ?

Does the Apple/Ford community know why the iPhone will not or doesn't plan to support the map profile. I'd figure since the iPhone is the most popular phone on the planet, they would atleast intergrate that function in their phones. Smart phones need to be able to play nice with smart cars.

  • Access Profile

    Hi All,
I have a query on the access profile, for a single user who is assigned to a role called FIELD SALES has two access profiles DEFAULT & OWNER.
DEFAULT = Will be the acccess levels for the records not onwed by him & in the same book (book functionality enabled for company).
OWNER = Will be the access levels for the records owned by him.
Apart from this we can also assign a user to a BOOK with some other access profile say 'X'. In this case which will over ride default the access profile? The books access profile will overriede the default access profile ?
Please throw some light of these 3 access profiles.
My requirement is aparat from the default and owner access profile for a particular role, I have assigned one user to two books with different access profiles for each book. The issue is when I access a record which belongs to one book, the access profile related to book does not come into play instead the default access profile of the role comes into play.
Please give some clarifications on access profiles.
    Thanks
    Natraj

I think the View means the user can view the simple data from list or report, Read-only means the user not only can view the simple data from list or report, but also can click the linkage and view the detial page.
Hope it be helpfule for you.
    regards.

  • Access profile in Book of Business

    hi
Does Book's user access profile override the user's access profile.?
    regards
    sowm

    Hi,
I have a question about Book administration.
I would like to assign different book administrators. I would like to create something like 3 main books (A, B & C) and have one administrator for each book. Each administrator can only modified his book and create and manage sub books of his main book.
For the book administrator role, i define that user can have access and can create books but can't read all records.
First, I assigned one book administrator user to book "A" so this user have access to book "A" and can add or edit other users.
This user can create a sub book with book "A" as parent book. But my issue is when I save the book creation, this user cannot assign users to this book and have no more access to delete or edit the sub book.
Do you have an idea of how it can be possible to create a record (book) and have no more access to it after saving?
    Regards,

  • Dynamic non-hierarchy based Member Access Profile

    Hello all,
I have few (semi related) questions:
    Qouestion 1:
I would like to perform the following configuration:
    1. We have a dimension called "Budgeting Model".
    2. We have a property called "Division" to this dimension.
    3. I would like to create a Member Access Profile based on the value of the property.
    4. I do not want to use hierarchy.
    Question 2:
    1. We have a dimension called "Budgeting Model"
    2. We have a dimension called "Profit Center"
    3. I would like to create a property for the Budgeting Model called Profit Center that will be checked against the Profit Center dimension valued. I saw something in the documentation but I wonder if anyone can provide me with a step-by-step guidance.
Generally speaking - I am trying to create the BPC/IP "Characteristics relationships" functionality in BPC and using the Profit Center as a secured dimension bypass the limitation of question 1 above.
Thanks in advance for you help,
    Avihay

    Hi Avihay,
    1. Yes, you are absolutely right. You cannot set it dynamically. This maintenance has to be done manually.
    2. If you look at the entity dimension, this dimension refers to currency type dimension. Similarly, an account dimension refers to the rate type dimension. You can see these information when you modify these dimensions. These relationships are pre-delivered. And you cannot create any new relationships.
So, lets say if you want to create a relationship, then you can have one dimension as entity and another as currency. Then you can establish the relationship between them. This is just an example. You can explore more on these types of pre-existing relations.
    Hope this helps.

  • Member Access Profile Setup to Secure multiple Dimensions

    Hey Experts!
We're running BPC 5.1.502 on Microsoft SQL 2005.
Until yesterday, we were only using a single dimension (CATEGORY) to restrict our user's ability to push data into BPC.  We have 4 Categories. (ACTUALS, QUOTA, FORECAST, and ACCRUALS).  ACTUALS were completely locked down (Read-Only) and the other three Categories were Read-Write.
I was asked if we could change this so that our users could still have full Write Access to the three non-Actuals Categories; but also have the ability to write to a specific ACCOUNT under the ACTUALS Category.
Initally, this seemed doable.  I set up the Member Access Profile as follows:
    READ & WRITE  -  CATEGORY  - [ALL]
READ ONLY      -  CATEGORY  - ACTUALS
READ ONLY      -  ACCOUNT     - [ALL]
    READ & WRITE  -  ACCOUNT     - BASE_Quota_Monthly
This setup is not working because now our users can only write to the "Base_Quota_Monthly" account regardless of what Cagetory they're working with.  Now I know I can set up Read&Write access for every single one of our Accounts, but we have hundreds of Accounts and it will be an administrative nightmare.  Is it possible to just limit a Single Account within a single Category, but not within All Categories?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Sean

    Hi Sean,
Combination of dimensions will not help. When you specify, READ & WRITE - ACCOUNT - BASE_Quota_Monthly and READ ONLY - ACCOUNT - ALL, the user will have write access to only BASE_Quota_Mothly and not others, irrespective of the categories. So, when we are defining the profile, the dimensions are completely independant of each other.
If you want to the write access to one account for only one user, that can be provided by creating a member profile and assigning it to only that particular user. However, the independance between the dimensions will still exist.
    Hope this helps.
