Reg: Adding Standard Assignment block

What are the steps to add a standard assignment block? I am trying to add " Actions " assignment block in Ineraction Record ICCMP_BT_INR.
I enhanced the compnenet ICCMP_BT_INR and then I added the view "Actions" in Viewset from Run Time Repsitory.
I am trying to add Actions GSACTIONS/Actions. The View for Actions is " Actions" and componenet is GSACTIONS.
I have added it in ViewSet in runtime repository, but still not able to view the newly added assignmet block. Any other steps I need to do?

Yes ur right the actions are case sensitive. Now i changed the action name and the DO_Handle_event is getting triggered but still the action that i wrote in event handler is not getting triggered.
Let me explain you correctly what my requirement is.
When we login to IC and confirm the account in account identification screen and navigate to Interaction record I find the tabs Overview, Organizational Data and Partner, I want to add thre tabs Attachments, Dates and Survey.
When I look into the Intreaction istory and pull an acitivity. BT126_CALL. They already have the dates, attachments and survey. I am trying to show these assignment blocks in interaction record.
So how do I proceed?
Attachments, Dates and Survey are present in SalesCallOVViewset in BT126_CALL. Is it possible to show the assignment blocks available in BT126_CALL in ICCMP_BT_INR?
If so can you list out steps? I had been driving crazy with adding following steps but still no luck. Any idea how to proceed or what am I missing?
1) Added the View in Outboud Plug in Windows in run time repository.
2) Defined the component Usages in run time repository
3) Defied the Navigational Links, Source(Outbound Plug) and Targets(Inboud Plug) in run time repository
4) Enhanced the View InrHeaderViewSet in Component Structure Browser
5) Created event for attachments in Event Handler in InrHeaderViewSet componenet
6) Created the Outbound Plug for attachments in InrHeaderViewSet componenet implementation class and put the code for navigation
7) Added the links in InrHeaderViewSet.HTM in View Layout.
Also can you eloborate on tab links that you were talking abt? Where should i add them?

Adding an assignment block

I have to add a new assignment block on the UI. I have done it by creating a view in a new component and then getting the fields displayed on the UI by including that component in the Component Usage for the required component. The problem i am facing is that, all the fields are getting displayed in the non-editable mode. I am not able to manipulate the values for these fields using the GET, GET_I methods also. Please help me in solving this problem.

Hi Radhika,
Please note that fields will get value either from custom controller or component controller in your case.
When you include any component in other component you need to specify which custom controller your component will be using to fetch the value.
Eg: Your componet is C1 and you have added it in component useage of C2. Also C2 has cuco.Also you need to create cuco in c2 for your component c1so that c1 is able to fetch the value.
Now when you have specified the cuco, you need to tell in component controller that if your component is C1 then your cuco is cuco(that you created in C2).
This you do in implementation class of component controller and wd_usage_initialize method of implementation class of component controller. If you check any standard component, you will find custom controller for component usage components. Write code for your component C1.
Then you will be able to use values and fetch values.

Which are the standard assignment blocks that should appear in SAP Product?

Currently I am creating some new products to check the fields available in every assingment block within the product, when I create my new transaction and add a new position (product) I went in the link to see the product information which are the following 4 standard assignment:
- AB Product Details
- AB Categories
- AB Notes
- AB Attachments
I unmarked the pricing on the item category, because this is only a test and we don't have any pricing definition yet. So I was wondering if this is all the assignment blocks that I should be expecting inside the position or if I'm missing any step on the road.
Also we just use the standard SET TYPES for the base hierarchy so I thougt that maybe all the assignment blocks that I shoud create them through COMM_ATTRSET route.
Can anyone help me out confirming me if these are the only assignment blocks that SAP CRM Products contain or which else I should be expecting?

Hello Sue,
First you should know which are the settypes and Reltypes that you want to add to your product category.
Example for settypes would be COMM_PR_UNIT and COMM_PR_MAT in order to get Unit Of Measure related fields in UI.
CRMM_PR_TAX for maintaining to product tax details.
You can refer table COMC_SETTYPE to get a list of all available settypes.
Example for Reltype is PRDBP, if you want to maintain BPs associated with products or ACCESS if you want to maintain
accessories for product etc.
You can maintain the settypes and Reltypes to product cateogry using txn:COMM_HIERARCHY under the tab
'Set Types' and 'RelnTypes'.
Once you maintain this, corresponding views you need to be added to product/service OVP like PRD01OV,PRD02OV etc.
(PRD01OV/MaterialOV) in the configuation. If you open the configuration for view PRD01OV/MaterialOV,
you can see the corresponding view in 'Available AB'. This you need to move it to ' Displayed AB', in order for this to available in
CRM UI. (Eg: PRDIL/Accessories)

Adding new assignment block in the sales order component

In sales order , qty filed is available at line item general details level .now my requirment, the qty field has to display in the new assinment block. i am thinking to create new view and context node in the same component and ii will add this view to SOItemOV page . Please guide me this approach is correct or not.

How to populate data from bol to assignment block.

Dear experts,
I saw on sdn discussion similar questions, but have not found the suitable answer.
I need to add fields for BP using EEWB and to work with this field in WEB UI. For achievement of it I have executed following steps:
1. Using EEWB has added new z u2013 fields to BP. This fields have appeared in tcode bp on a tab "customer data". Besides I have seen this field in created z u2013 BOL.
2. Using tcode BSP_WD_CMPWB has created z bsp component.
3. In z bsp component has created view and custom controller which correspond earlier created z - BOL. Also has created following binding:
   owner->do_context_node_binding(
            iv_controller_type = cl_bsp_wd_controller=>CO_TYPE_CUSTOM
            iv_name = 'ZBP_S_INF/NumBpOutSYS'
            iv_target_node_name = 'ZZ9BHEEW'
            iv_node_2_bind      = ZZ9BHEEW ).
4. Has redefined method DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT and would make modify the *.htm file for the purpose on toolbar there were buttons of editing of the data.
5. Has adding z - assignment block to bp_head component.
At start WEB UI the assignment block it is visible in list displayed blocks of account data. In this block there are buttons on toolbar. But in this block the data is not displayed. Though really data there is, as they are displayed in tcode bp.
Please inform as to populate the data from bol to z u2013 component. I assume that it is necessary for me to create get_ methods. But methods get_ and set_ do not cause query.
Iu2019m work in CRM 7.0.

SAP Address Type on the SAP Web Gui - Assignment Blocks

Hello SAP Gurus
I am trying to configure system so that different Business Roles can only see different Address Type on the SAP Web Gui - is this possible ?
For instance Business Role - "X" can only see the Standard Address Type and Business Role "Y" can not see the Standard Address but see other ones on the assignment blocks

Hi Raj,
You can achieve this by enhancing the Addresses and Address Types assignment block.
Based on the Address Type 'Standard Address' entry, filter out the corresponding address
in the Addresses AB. This determination can be performed in the enhancement views.
Once the view are created, create a new configuration with Role config key 'Y''.
Add the enhancement views to the Displayed Assignment block section. And remove
the standard assignment blocks from this section so that they will not be available in
the personalization so that this user cannot view the standard address.

Better approach for adding a new assignment block in a standard component

I need to add a new assignment block in the standard component bt116h_srvo. There are two approaches :
1. create a new view in the component bt116h_srvo
2. create a custom component and embed it into bt116h_srvo using component usage.
Please tell which one is a better approach and why ??

Thanks for the quick reply lakshmi. However I am sure there is no possibility of reuse . My main concern here is tat will patch upgradation in future would have any impact on the views added directly in standard component or any other risk in adding view directly.

How to add "ATTACHMENTS" assignment block in standard component ERP_H

Dear All,
I have a requirement where i have to add the "Attachments" assignment block to standard component "ERP_H". I have taken following steps so far and i am able to display the view in the component ERP_H, however no funtionality has been defined.
I created a component usage of component "GS_CM" in the runtime repository of component ERP_H
and now i am able to display the assignment block in the overview page of component ERP_H
Now i have to create a custom controller and here is where the problem lies. When i try to create a custom controller, it asks for a BOL Entity, and in order to have the same BOL entity as in component GS_CM, i have to add Model "CM" to the runtime repository of component ERP_H, however i m not able to add Model CM in the runtime repository of component ERP_H unabling me to create the custom controller.
Any pointers would help, if there is any other way to create custom controller instead of adding bol component in the runtime repository.

Adding new fields to assignment block, what are the steps to do this.

Could someone tell me what the steps are to add new fields to specifdic assignment block. Assume that these fields do not already exist in any given structure/table.
My understanding is that I need to use transaction EEWB and then somehow use the component "BSP_DLC_FS" and view "factsheet". But having never used EEWB before I'ma tad lost. I'm in EEWB and have crfeated a project and believe that I now need to create an extension. When doing this I am displayed a box with 4 fields, being: Name, Description, EEW Bus object and Extension type. What are my next steps?
I assume that the EEW bus object is 'BUPA' and the extension type is 'ADD_NEW_FIELDS'. However, how do I know for sure that the EEW bus object should be 'BUPA', bearing in mind that I'm adding new fields to the Account (BP) main address communication data Assignemnt block?.
I wondered if anyone has a link to any guide docuemnt about how to do this?.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
I attempted to use EEWB to add new fields to BUPA but am hitting the error: BDT-DC is Not Prepared for This Application Object
On searching I can see that there are ways around this, via SM30 against table/view V_TBZ1_DC, changing the BDT BC settings, whatever they are. But it gives me a warning when this happens and mentions that only SAP are allowed to do this, but it will allow me to create a transport if I press on past this. Should I need to make this change though, or have I just done something wrong within EEWB I wonder.

Adding a New Assignment Block

I need to add/create a new assignment block 'Strategy Plan ' similar to existing assignment block 'Attachment'
in Account screen.
I got the document which suggest creation of new assignment block by creating Set Type and attribute.
But can't figure out how to make that assignment block similar to existing one 'Attachment'.

I did exactly how you said.
Opened the Component BP_HEAD in Enhancement set 'Z_ENHANCE'.
Added the component usage 'ZStrategy' their inbound plugs and outbound plugs
similar to one used by Attachment assignment block.
Added the View 'ZStrategy.MainWindow' under viewarea 'OverviewPage'
of ViewSet 'BP_HEAD/BPHEADOverveiw'.
Also Initialized the component usage in WD_USAGE_INITIALIZE of component controller.
But When I see the assignment block in WebUI.
I see simple window with no toolbars in it. Also It disapears when expanded.
I gives error like "CX_BSP_WD_INCORRECT_IMPLEMENT - Define component usage 'ZStrategy'
CX_BSP_WD_INCORRECT_IMPLEMENT - Define component usage 'ZPlanStrategy' "
I think I missed some steps or may be my enhancement set is not loading.
Help me out.

Adding Assignment Block to Sales Order Screen

We enhanced the SAP GUI CRMD_ORDER screen to have a new tab and added custom fields to it. This was done using easy enhancement workbench.
Now we want to do the same thing to the Sales Order Screen in Webclient UI.
I have seen a lot of discussions in the forums, but for a beginner like me it is confusing.
Can someone please guide me on how to do it?
I have set up webclient UI and everything is working fine but I am not aware on how to create new assignment blockand add fields to it since the building block does not have it listed.
Any help would be appreciated.

What we did in EEWB was we created a new tab on Sales Order Item Details called 'Customer Fields' and added some new custom fields there.
We want to change our Webclient UI Sales Order Item Details screen (BT131I_SLS) to add a new assignment block (Customer Fields) and insert the custom fields in it.
I am trying to figure out how to do it. I saw the link to the blog that you had sent but before I can add new fields I have to figure out how to add a new assignment block on Sales Order Item details.
Like when we click on item on sales order screen we get assignment blocks shipping,shipping transactions,Billing.......I want to create a new one called 'Customer Fields' and some custom fields there.

Adding custom (z) fields to assignment blocks...

We are running SAP CRM 7.0. We are using the opportunity module as well as "Create Follow Up" (Sales Order / Quotation) so that you have a one to many relationship (1 opportunity may contain many sales orders). I have 2 custom fields inside the Sales Cycle (Quotation) module "Actual Sales Order Value" and "Current Points".
What I am trying to do is take these 2 custom fields and add them to the assignment block called "Linked Transactions" in the Opportunities module. But when I look at all the available fields for this assignment block these 2 custom fields are nt available.
I do not see any way of adding these 2 fields to this assignment block. The only thing I see is "Create NEw Field". But I do not want to create a new field I just want to reference 2 fields from the Sales Cycle module inside of this assignment block.
Does anyone knowif it is possible to add 2 custom created fields that are i the Sales cycle module to add them to the opportunities assignment block that is called linked transactions ?

Adding assignment blocks notes and marketing att to the Quickcontact Page

My requirement is to assign new assignement blocks to the QuickContactCreate view in component BP_CONT.
Right now when user want to create a Quick Contact create from Account Over view page, he could see a single view with general data. View name is BP_CONT/ContactQuickCreateEF
when you create a new contact(not a quick contact create) from master data, you could see notes and marketing assignment blocks along with general data.
My requirement is to assign/display the same notes and marketing assignment blocks in QucikContactCreate Over view page also.
Please tell how can i reuse/assign/display those two blocks in quick contact view
I tried to assign the above blocks through confiuration but i dont see them in the left assignment block list to assign.
can any one help me with steps how can i show those two assignment blocks on quickcontact create page and how can i use from contact over view page.

CRM 5.2 Adding a changed copy of an assignment block

Hi all,
Does anyone have detailed information on how to add a new assignment block to a view of the BP_HEAD component in CRM 5.2?
My objective is to split the data selection of an assignment block which is already present. I want to make a copy of this component, slightly adjust the data and add it to the BP_HEAD/BPHEADOverview view.
All documentation/information is welcome.

For questions on steps 1&3 they are related. When you "enhance" a view on a component you actually perform the first step of making the component ready for enhancements.
This is done by displaying the component and clicking on the "enhance component" button. This creates a "Z" storage area for your enhancements. I need to take a further look at the copy details to remember exactly where the copy should be stored.
For your question 5, yes once you add it to the repository it will appear in your customizing.
Well for that piece let's say it is a transaction list, that is an entirely new concept to make the list appear differently. You would have to adjust the underlying bol objects to make that work. By chance what is the name of the view that you are trying to copy and adjust?
