I have created an email alert for process chain error in ALRTCATDEF.
Everything works fine but by default iam getting the mail even if i dont maintain my username in recepient list.
Does anyone have idea res this.

Reg Classpath setting in WIN NT4
Hi Friends,
I have installed JDK 1.3.1 recently on Win NT4 and facing the following problem..
1. when i say javac A.java it says can't read file.
My settings under environment variables r as follows..
PAth=C:\JDK1.3\BIN;
CLASSPATH=.;\C:\JDK1.3\lib\tools.jar;
Both these i have set under User variables.I would like to know if any one of these have to be set under System environment variable? If i don't put .;\ in classpath..then also it gives same error. Whether i write my prog in notepad or in DOs editor the problem is same.
Pl. help...i am fed up trying....i have read all related questions but my problem remains unsolved.I am able to work on Win 2000 but not NT4 and thats what is bugging me.

VASee when i write the prog in dos editor then it says can't read file...even when i say edit A.java and open the editor. If i use "edit A.java" also no use.
The suggestion u gave for notepad doesn't work. I used all files option while saving and gave .java extension.But it gets saved as A.java.txt. It works only when i save it in double quotes like "A.java".Only this works on NT4. I still want to know what and how i can do it when i use Dos editor? Its not taking 4 character extn.So what to do?

Need info reg char set differences.

In my database our Cognos people are using UTFA char set. And other people are using WE8ISO885981 char set.
Is there any prob to have two character sets in the database. If yes what are those and how to rectify them.
If there is any problem while recovering the database?.
if we need to change everything into one charset how can we do that

RayYour oracle client always converts client characters to the database character set. So if your database has some kind of UTF8 charset there should be no issue.
If not you may need to convert your database to UTF8 if you need to keep such(UTF) characters in the database.
So an oracle database could use two character set. One as default and one extra as national. But you have to use special column types(eg NVHARCHAR) to use the second national character set as type of a column.
If you don't want to change your original table structures you may need to consider changing default character set to a UTF8 (e.g. AL32UTF8) charter set. So all of your previously used character set will be a superset of the new UTF8 so you can convert your original data. -

Extension is the extending the component.combination of extension will be extension set.
Extension set 1 means the 1st extension and extension set 2 means the extension for the 2nd time.

How do i configure the fyv if i want to save or view the data in posting periods (granularity is less than a week....e.g. week is divided into two)?
Can you please help me in understanding this concept more clearly with an example and give me the steps to configure, so that i can try it out in my system.

Sun Fire V250 Error while booting

The issue was resolved by performing a failsafe boot from the console ("boot -F failsafe"), splitting the (new/alt) root mirror, mounting the primary half, performing fsck several times (as filesystem issues were apparrent), then mounting the slice and installing the new bootblock using the version of installboot from the new root and rebuilding the boot archive manually:

# /a/usr/sbin/installboot /a/usr/platform/`uname -i`/lib/fs/ufs/bootblk /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s4

1. Install u6 ( SUNWCreq ( no mkisofs so we build ufs boot archive )
2. Limit /tmp to 512M ( so forcing the ufs build to happen in /var/run
3. Have seperate /var ( bootadm.c only lofs nosub mounts / when creating the alt root for DAP patching build of boot archive )
4. Install 139555-08
The system I was patching met the last three of these, but not the first one (pkginfo does not show SUNWCreq as being installed). However, this was not an OpenSolaris system, which may make a difference.

It's often only a problem of the service dependencies. SCVMM starts to fast, SQL server on the same machine in not initialized yet. Here are working service dependencies to ensure SQL server is initializes before SCVMM starts.
You can set the service dependencies directly in regedit (as always: be careful modifying the registry ...)

SomakIf you specify -S compiler option, assembly file will be produced and it enables you to look at the code assembler is complaining about. For example:

I'm not too familiar with AMD64 ABI, but it is possible that you can't use 32-bit registers in 64 bit mode with some operations like memory (including stack) access.

I am setting up SCVMM 2012 R2 in a production environment. Whenever I restart the SCVMM virtual machine the VMM service doesn't start automatically, I have to manually start it. I checked the VMM logs and in the event viewer i find the below error,

I added the 'VMMSVC' account as db_owner and sysadmin and also NT_Authority\System with same permissions still the service doesn't start on the start up.
I googled a lot and I find the threads with the error containing "General failure" but not with the above. Can someone please help me to find out why this error is occuring.

If I have several items that move across the screen but the user can click any of them at any time, how do I record the current position of any of the items item in order to use that data to change the position of the item after the user clicks?
This is what I am doing: I have 11 images that slide accross the screen. The user can click any of them at any time. When he clicks one I am scaling the image so it looks like it is comming forward (z axis) and then the rest of the images are scaled down so it looks like they are going back on z axis. So what I am trying to do is get the current position of the image when the user clicks the image so that I can use that to correctly estimate the scaling and moving of the image to make it look like it scales from the center and not from the top left corner.
So if have a variable that gets the current position of the image being clicked I'm thinking I can change its position using something like: x = currentposition + -45;

I have 11 images loaded and put through an array and then assigned to buttons: b1, b2, b3 etc which are sprites.I then placed them across the stage evenly (they are not all on the stage at the same time. They slide on from the right and go off to the left till the 6th btn is in the middle of the screen. there are about 3 images on the screen at one time). Each one of the images is a btn which will lead to its respective part of the flash project. Each of the buttons are in one movieclip called imageLoaderHost.
I have backbtn and nextbtn which moves the images right or left. I think that should give you a good amount of data as a base to understand what I am doing with the following code now:

So, that all works fine and dandy! So now I am trying to make it so I can pull the x of any of the buttons at any time (or at least 1 of the the 3 that are one the stage at that time) and assign it as a sort of x value so that I can use that to scale it so it looks correct. I will have to scale it and move it at the same time so it looks like it is being scaled from the center because I have the reg point set to the default left top corner and that is what all of my current code is written around.
Hopefully that was not toooooo long winded and my words are somewhat understandable! -

I have created Production oder but I am unable to post goods issue because of an error. The error says the current period is not maintained in the material master.The system suggests to do this in the shift periods in material master. But I am not able to find this setting in the material master in SPRO.Because of this error I am not able to move forward.
Also when I am creating the material master, the system is giving the type of currency by default (for example:EURO). Is there any setting in the material master which gives you the type of currency by default.

Reg Currency setting :
When creating the Material Master the system will the pick the currency from the Company code.
System will maintain the Material Master Currency based on the company code currency.
There is no standard SAP provision for default the currency type.

I have a query reg. the setting for Purchase orders.
In the Purchase order-> Delivery, i want to suppress the 'Unlimited' checkbox. Please advise as to how i can acheive this.

You have not mentioned which Version you are Using.
Because in 4.7 EE you can make the field as display only.
Supress option is not available here.
If you are using 5.0 ECC then it is possible.
Go to SPRO -> Mat Mgmt -> Purchasing -> Purchase order -> Define Screen layout at document level - Select the Field selection screen (NBF or ME21) whatever is assigned to your Document type and click on GR/IR control and make the field Supress.
Please revert back if not solved.

I am trying to use Start-Process to drive Regedit merging a REG file with this code.
Start-Process regedit -Argumentlist:"/S $TempReg" -Wait -ErrorAction:Stop
When the REG file is properly formatted this works a treat, but I can't seem to address the error condition. If I do a Try/Catch it seems to produce a successful Try. I tried doing it with a return code as well, and that didn't seem to see the error either.
Am I doing something wrong in the code, or is Regedit a special case, and if so, can I catch errors from it at all?

GordonHmm, I assume you mean Regedit can't be used "with an error trap"? So, perhaps a different form of the question. First thing to note is that I have tried to address this with direct PowerShell access to the registry, and for some reason Autodesk
products don't respond well to that approach. Everything looks right when I do it, but then the Autodesk product will push it's own settings over the top, and their settings are idiotic. However, when I push my settings via REG file the Autodesk products accept
it and move on.
So, does anyone have a suggestion for either
A: Identifying exactly what the difference is between the .REG and Set-ItemProperty approaches, so the more elegant solution can be made to also work? Or
B: Another approach to REG file merge that does allow for error trapping?
My only other option I think is to implement it without error trapping, as the functionality is pretty important, and the most likely errors will show up in testing not production anyway.
