I hope so all are doing well,i have a scenario in implementation,the scenario belongs to appraisal results.In PD apprisal results should effect on the basic pay(0008 IT),it should be through compensation management(merit increase).
If we take an example.. one employee get 8%(apprisal rating)..This 8% should effect on basic pay for merit increament.
where we can do this part in compensation management,i hope so the question is clear,if not ping me once,i will give an explist explainsation on my question.

Hi,
You can set-up your matrix catalog wherein your dimension is Appraisal, then your entry values is percent.
This is how your matrix value will look like (example)
Dimension                   Percent
Excellent                      12%
Very Good                    10%
Good                              8%
Poor                               0%
This wil serve as your guidelines.
So when you process compensation management after apply guidelines to the employee, the increase amount will then be refelcted in Infotype 380, upon activation the increase amount will be added to the basic pay of the employee.

What version are you on? ECM was introduces in 47 ext2 & this is the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/2d/193bb5928881479cad1557aa5bc6b8/content.htm">Release Note.</a> for it. As far as I know, the config for ECM has to be done from scratch, don't know if you can migrate from CM to ECM.. may be the Budgeting part.. but the Admin part like the review,plans,items etc have to be redone.. three new infotypes have been introduced.. but I believe CM & ECM can co-exist..

COMPENSATION MGMT

can we upload budget values in enterprise compensation mgmt without using BSP or configuring Personnel cost planning.pcp is configured by finance guys?

Pl take a look at HR_ECM_CHANGE_BUDGET_VALUE & use it as a template to build a custom function module that modifies the budget values.. PCP can be done by the HR analysts too..
You might also open a OSS message & seek SAP's help/clarification on this issue..

WebApp Search Results 'effect' parameter

The BC documentation here: http://helpx.adobe.com/business-catalyst/kb/modules-quick-reference.html#id_44532
lists available parameters for the module {module_webappsresults}.
The first parameter is 'effect'. What values can we use here? and what do they do?
I'm assuming 'ajax' would be one such value (like we can use on the FAQ module) but this does not seem to work.

Is it possible to apply effects at an increasing rate

I guess i would like is to apply effects like reverb or detune that start off suttle and reach a peak i choose and contuniue till i want them to either fade away or stop? i believe this would be some kind of morphing or variable intensity included with an effect.

To get a similar Wet/Dry effect you could copy the clips to another track and add the full effects to that. Then use the gain/volume automation to set the level of effects on the track you created.
In some effects you can set the effect level to 100% and the dry mix to 0% and then just use the tracks Automation to mix the effect. But some effects mix the dry sound without giving you control of how much. In that case, you may need to adjust the gain/volume automation of the original dry track to match the levels in the mix.

Copy Appraisal Results From Previous (MBO)

Hi:
There is a business requirement to populate the "criteria" and "notes" from previous year's appraisal form.
This must be populated when the appraisal form is launched.
I probably should be using a BADI for this. However, I don't know which function module I should use.
I hope experts in this forum can help me. Any help is appreciated.

You can use the Value Determination BADI to default value in the VC.
There are some standad BADIs implementation in the following definition:
HRHAP00_VAL_DET Appraisal Document - Value Determination
You may copy/create your own custom implementation from the standard.

Dear All,
After adding a query to VC storyboard and than trying to use the option define/test query for this query element, I am facing the below error on pressing the execute button.
"No result returned or xml returned in the result contains an error"
Query is working fine and giving the desired output in BW system.
How can i resolve my problem?

Hi Hemalatha,
this can have several reasons, usually there are variables in the query that aren't filled correctly in the "specify filter" box.
One thing you could do is to personalize all variables in the query and then try to fill one after another in the "specify filter" box.
If you don't get values after you have filled a specific one of them, then this one is passed incorrectly.

I need to know how would I be able to incorporate the approvals and compensations adjustments in the workflow ?

Help reg: Creating PO & Effective price problem

Hi Experts,
I am creating PO from transaction me21n. Here i see PBXX as condition type under conditions tab. Now the thing is that whenever i create a PO from me21n it picks net price which i have entered, but when i create a PO from "bapi_po_create1" it takes "Effective price" instead of Net price which i enter.
In our scenario we just need to set the net price as what i enter with no further calculations...i mean market price....
Pls guide me with same....

I have done the same as what you have told, but then when i execute a FM "BAPI_PO_CREATE1" with a net price it gives me an error message "
*" E 06 Net price must be greater than 0" *

Reg Appraisal problem?

HI frends
i am creating appraisal by using APPCREATE tcode .while creating the appraisal the system throwing error message if i dont fill all the fields for each element . for example for an element i have to fill all fields outstanding , very good , good etc but my requiremnt is i have to fill either one of these . how to make this poss .
do i need to proceed throgh any BADI or ?

Hi Uday,
In tcode phap_catalog, navigate to the criteria you are talking about. Ont he columns tab, for each column you should be able to set the Value Input. You can choose between required, no entry, and optional entry.

IPhoto 9.5.1 cannot locate photos I imported...but the size of my iPhoto folder has definitely increased after importing - help!

I imported over 40GB of photos into iPhoto but now when I go to view there is a thumbnail but I receive an Alert message about not finding the original after I click on it.
The iPhoto folder definitely increased in size after the importing. I'm running iPhoto 9.5.1.

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Execute the following query from SQL*Plus and it returns one row, from JDBC using a PreparedStatement, I get no results. Here's the query, table def, record, etc.:

That's not quite right. From the javadocs:
next
public boolean next()
throws SQLException
Moves the cursor down one row from its current position. A ResultSet cursor is initially positioned before the first row; the first call to the method next makes the first row the current row; the second call makes the second row the current row, and so on.
If an input stream is open for the current row, a call to the method next will implicitly close it. A ResultSet object's warning chain is cleared when a new row is read.
Returns:
true if the new current row is valid; false if there are no more rows
Throws:
SQLException - if a database access error occurs

I have verified the parameters and such, and if I run as a Statement instead of a PreparedStatement, the query works fine. After some more troubleshooting, I narrowed the problem down, but not sure of the fix.
If I eliminate teh extra parameters and simplify things to:
SELECT ID_WEB_FRM FROM WEB_FRM WHERE ID_WEB_SIT = 'test' AND CDE_LVL_2_FUNC = 'u2T' AND NUM_WEB_FUNC_PG = 1 AND NUM_WEB_PG_ID = 0
The code works. But if I add the additional WHERE clause of CDE_LVL_1_FUNC = ' ' (has single space), it returns no data (record in the DB has single space in this new column. Query that does not work:

It appears the JDBC Driver is trimming the parameter when it is a space when set through a PreparedStatement.setString(2," ")

How Can I speed up the results on my JSP page with the help of Caching.

I am generating a dropdown listbox by merging an xml file with a style sheet(xsl).
This list box comes up fine without any problems. Now, I am adding some advanced
logic to the
style sheet (xsl) to use the same xml file in a more efficient way. This time
the generation
of the list box is taking much longer (upto 25 seconds) although I get the results
I want.
Is there any way I could speedup this process by using weblogics caching. I know
the process is slowing down
due to the code in the stylesheet. Will caching resolve this issue?. I tried
using
<wl:cache> </wl:cache> on the jsp page generating this listbox but found no improvement.
Any help will be very much appreciated.
