I would like to know the transaction codes to display PP_ORDER archived from SAP system into Content Repositories.
Archive Explorer is their apart from this

Choose Logistics ® Production ® Production control ® Tools ® Archiving ® Orders.
The initial screen for archiving production orders is then displayed.
Choose Delete.
Click Archive selection and select one or more archive files.
Click Start date and enter the start date.
Click Spool parameters and enter the spool parameters.
If you set the Test run flag, only statistics will be generated and the data will not be deleted.

Hello Kannan,
The archive information system is a tool used to access archived data. An archive infostructure is an "index" used to directly access the archive data files. They will contain a small subset of the archived data - the fields which have been configured to use as search criteria, plus the pointer to where the rest of the archived data resides.

Archive Information System

Hi experts:
Can anyone tell me whether the Archive Information System (AIS) can be used to store all the archived files data? We were told in SAP Archiving class (BIT660) that you can purchase a third party storage system for ADK FIles. The SAP instructor also said you could purchase AIS and store all your archived ADK Files on AIS. Is that true? Where can I find information about storing all ADK FIles on AIS instead of buying a third party storage system.

Hi,
I may be wrong but, in my understanding, AIS has nothing to do with storing archived data files. For that you use an Archivelink enabled software like IXOS or Filenet or plenty of others.
AIS is Archive Information System and is used to index data archives in order to be able to explore and consult them.

Hello,
The Archive Information System (AS) is a tool that allows you to display archived data. SAP provides many archive information structures and field catalogs, but you are able to change them to meet you needs or create your own. Using archive information structures will add tables to your database, so you need to monitor their table growth. There is an excellent book "Archiving Your SAP Data" that you can get from the SAP Press that provides information in depth on this subject.

Archive Information System (SARI) - which programs do rely on it?

In SAP note 671421 it is stated that
functions of different applications use the AS as a basis for locating archived data. This is also possible for customer-specific functions
1.) which programs/archiving objects are these?
2.) does that mean I have to create an info structure for these programs/objects in SARI or that they just use the SARI functions?

No archive information found for object type and document type

Hi All,
When i try to view the print preview for a perticular doc type, system is giving the error as "No archive information found for object type and document type"
Diagnosis
    No information was found about optical archiving. This may be due to
    either of the following reasons:
    1. No valid archiving parameters were passed
    2. Your system is not configured for optical archiving
System Response
    Processing is cancelled.
Procedure
    Specify valid archiving parameters or check whether your system is configured for optical archiving

Hello,
You are trying to Print & also archive by selecting the option Print & Archive.
You have to do archivelink configurations and then create document type and assign to the object type with content repository with archivelink table.
If you want to archive the spool or output then you have to use object type as DRAW. If you are archiving invoice document or letters or so on then you have to know the object type/Business object of the transaction.
Please note that for archivelink configuration, attachment will be either stored in archive server or in SAP database table based on business requirement.
Hope this will give you some understanding on archiving area.

There are some Archiving Object for information structure in ECC 6.0, however I can't find this in the version ECC5.0 and R/3 4.6C,I want to know if it means we can't archive information structure in these version?

What is the landscape you have ?
Windows / Unix / Solaris etc ?
Also there are a lot of logs that are generated:
Archive log ,
System Log,
Transaction log etc...
The usual procedure is to copy them into another location and then delete the original file , the system will usually recreate the log and start logging new entries..

You may look into some of the FMs mentioned below.
ARCHIVE_GET_NEXT_OBJECT
ARCHIVE_OPEN_FOR_READ
ARCHIVE_READ_OBJECT
ADDRESS_READ_ARCHIVE_OBJECT
Also in SE37, you can put a F4 on ARCHIVE to get some FMs for this purpose.
You can consult with your technical guy, who can give some insights into this.

when you've created the flar image just setup the jumpstart server accordingly
1) create a profile for a flash installation
install_type flash_install
archive_location nfs js1:/data/server.flar
partitioning explicit
filesys c0t0d0s0 2000 /
filesys c0t0d0s3 6000 /usr
filesys c0t0d0s4 2000 /var
filesys c0t0d0s5 2000 /export/home
filesys c0t0d0s6 520000 /export/zones
2) create the jumpstart client just as you would normally
3) jumpstart the server

Archiving "Previous Systems" folders (unsuccessful)

I have been trying to archive "Previous Systems" folders on DVD to get them off my hard drive where they're taking up space.
Every time I try to burn them to DVD using OS X's Burn facility or Toast, it starts to burn, but eventually says something along the lines of 'Some of the files could not be burned because you do not have sufficient privileges.'
I tried to compress them using OS X's .zip compress tool as well as just about every third party compression tool available, but got a similar message.
Does anyone know a way to successfully archive on an external medium (DVD) "Previous Systems" so they aren't sitting there taking up room on my hard drive?
Any help is appreciated.

you should simply delete that folder once you know everything on your system works. there is no reason to keep it around or back it up.

Archiving Software/System or just configure Synology RS 814

Hi, i'm currently working here in saudi arabia for almost 4 months now. our manager asked me to look for a archiving system/software, out of curiosity i checked their NAS (synology RS 814) and it has 16TB drive and only 2GB is currently used, they also didn't know what exactly the use of their NAS. the only thing configured on their nas is, it's currently joined in the domain..we also have O365 and they are currently using the sharepoint as their main backup area.I'm new to this kind of environment...and also with NAS. but i've found some good manual from synology that i am reading almost everyday. i found out that they have a cloud station package.Is it cost efficient to just buy an archiving software/system or just used the cloud station package from synology and buy a scanner with ethernet port. and used that synology as the...

Archive Information Structure purging

Hi All,
We have a requirement to automate the Archive Information Structure (AIS) purging.
Currently its been done manually from the transaction SARI.
The Suggested solution involves recording (SHDB) the above manual process and write a Call Transaction program for purging multiple info structure.
Are there any alternatives for purging AIS other than using recorded SARI transaction?
Can this be accomplished by calling some function modules?

Error while reading the PO in the Backend system. Inform system admin

Hi All,
We are having a peculiar issue of 'Error while reading the PO in the Backend system. Inform system admin'.
The P.O is in ordered status in SRM but the same is not getting transferred to backend ECC system.
No error messages or logs in RZ20, SLG1 any where.
All programmes like BBP_GET_STATUS_2 and CLEAN_REQREQ_UP are running fine.
Tried pushing the P.Os manually using function module (BBP_PD_PO_TRANSFER_EXEC_V2) to backend ECC.
It was working fine till a week ago and suddenly this problem is coming.
We had implemented few OSS notes suggested by SAP for the issue of 'shopping carts appearing in sourcing cockpit even after P.O creation' in both development and test system.
Now this issue is coming up in test system where as development system is working fine.
Please let us know where to look and how to resolve this issue.
A quick response would be highly appreciated.

I am facing the same issue with one PO in the Production system.
SRM 5.0 , R/3 4.6C Extended classic scenario.
I checked the status of other PO's created today. I see them in R/3. There is one PO which was created a week back which shows up as "ordered" in SRM but the PO is missing in R/3. When clicked on the details on the web, system throws the error
Error while reading the PO in the Backend system. Inform system admin.
Message no. BBP_CF010
I checked RZ20, SLG1 no errors were found. I checked RFC connection, it was working fine too.
I tried pushing the PO using the FM BBP_PD_PO_TRANSFER_EXEC, it did not solve the problem.
In SRM WEBGUI Process PO - Item data -->follow on documents --> PO status is shown as Archived.
Any inputs would be greatly appreciated. Please throw some light on this issue.

Logistics Information System - Transaction MCSZ - Infostructure S032

Hello,
I have the following problem: The material group (table mara-matkl) are updated in the LIS (Logistics Information System) with each stock movement. We have materials with those the material group changed. But to these materials it will not give no more stock movements, thus also no update in the LIS.
So that however the material group evaluations are correct, i would like to change only the field material group in the infostructure S032. (with the current data from the table MARA) I use to it the transaction MCSZ and the method "automatic data enhancement". Unfortunately the function for this infostructure is reduced.
How can I solve the problem? Did that make already times someone? Is there another way to update around the data? I would like to actually make no complete reconstruction of the infostructure.

S032 is an infostructure that captures business events.
The event will not be gone if you just mark the material for deletion.
Imagine:
material mater = Elvis
event = Jail house rock
Even Elvis died, you can still listen to Jail house rock.
Even you archive the material, the data will still be visible for analysis in the info structures.
but you can archive data in info structures
