  • SAP IDM Installtion on Linux

    Hello,
We would like to install IDM on linux and I would like ask if any suggestions on this.
I read couple of SCN Discussion and it is not clear that it can be installed on linux or not?
I request you to kindly suggest me on this.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Prasad

    Prasad,
I've installed the dispatchers on Linux several times. As Tero said, at the moment you cannot manage IDM from Linux, but the database and dispatchers can work from there.
This will change with version 8 of SAP IDM due out Q4 of this year.

    Hi Experts ,
I am new to BAM Reports.
I installed SOA server along with that i got BAM too.
I up both the servers SOA & BAM.
Now from my J Developer i want to create a BAM connection.
But when i am clicking on Connections in application Resources and clicking on connections i am not able to get the option for Creating BAM connection.
Can any one help me on this.
    Thanks & Regards :
    Pramila Padam

You should be doing the following:
    1. Creat BAM Data OBject based on your requirement.
    2. bind adf user interface components to those data objects

  • Reg: BAM Data not moving from MsgBox to PrimaryImport

    Hello All,
I am facing one issue with BAM where the data's are not getting moved from MessageBox to BAMPrimaryImport. We had some issue so I un-configured BAM alone and deleted all the existing DB's related to BAM and re-configured BAM.
Now, I see the data in TrackingData_x_x tables. But
TDDS_StreamStatus table is empty. I don't see any sequence number. I did the following
Used Terminator and deleted all the rows in the TrackingData_x_x tables.
Checked all the SQL Agent Jobs and its all running with no error in the History.
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks
    Thanks, SKGuru

    Found the solution:
Under managementDB, the following two tables were having the old server name.
    TDDS_Source, TDDS_Destinations.
After updating the proper server name, it started working.
    Thanks, SKGuru

  • BAM as ADF DataControl

    Hi,
I want to use BAM as ADF DataControl. I am using Jdev11G drop 3 accessing via appstta Tarentella linux server. These are the questions I have:
    1. Do I need to install BAM server on linux server. If not, what is the remote linux server connection that I would have to enter for connection details.
    2. Is BAM available as ADF widget.
It would be great if anyone can give me step-by-step information on seting up BAM datacontrol in Jdev which I am accessing through Tarentella linux server.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    Check out these samples.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E18941_01/tutorials/jdtut_11r2_10/jdtut_11r2_10.html

These samples use URL Datacontrol to load the data from an xml into an ADF table. You can modify the xsd (according to your xml structure) and use it as LOV instead of table

  • Oracle BAM –ODI Integration Installation

    Hi,
I am new here in BAM and need to do the fresh installation of BAM in Linux. In my search I have found this document <http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/bam/11g/technotes11g/technote_bam-odi_installation.pdf > which actually tells us about the ODI integration with BAM, so could anyone help me the difference about ODI & BAM and is ODI a mandatory requirement for BAM installation in Linux?
Can anyone guide me the high level steps for BAM -linux installation and if there is any document with the detailed steps ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Sam

    Hi Payal,
Thx a lot for your quick response!!! Yes for now I would only need to install BAM with WLS and I am trying to open that oracle link to understand the complete steps but no luck, seems none of the link is working at my end or taking long time/stuck:- <http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/soa.htm>.
The mentioned steps is for Oracle BAM with Linux ? I am still doing my research on this but in the meanwhile if you could pls help me with more detailed instructions on this for ex:-
Install DB ---- which version of Oracle DB shall I install for 10.3 wls, any other pre-requisites before installing DB or etc.?
Run RCU .--- what is this ?
Select BAM schema to install. ------- From where ?
It will auto select the pre-requisites.
    install WLS
unzip and install soa extension ----- from where would I get this zipped file?
    run config wizard.
Select BAM and FMW console -- what is FMW console ?

    Hi,
select the project with the AM --> use "STRG + ALT + MINUS" or menu "Navigate" -> "Go To File"--> bc4j.xcfg -->
    in (for example)
    <AppModuleConfig name="MyAppModuleLocal"
    <AM-Pooling jbo.ampool.sessioncookiefactoryclass="myFactoryClass"></AM-Pooling>
    </AppModuleConfig>
    and Save ;)

  • How to detect JRE is installed in Linux OS?

I detect the all JRE's installed in Windows OS by using REG QUERY.
but in Linux, how can i detect the JRE's.
i want to find the JRE version's and path, which are all installed in computer.
    e.g JRE installed in path:
    c:/program files/java/<<all JRE installed>>

You need to use Java to detect whether Java is installed?
    Well, then here you go
    public class IsJavaInstalled {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            System.out.println("Java is installed.");
    }If it runs it's good.

  • Oracle BAM 11g separately on Linux

Oracle BAM 11g can be installed as a separate component in Linux, without installing all the SOA Suite 11g?

    Sbaldwa Thanks,
this link explains that although BAM comes in the same installer for the SOA Suite,
can be installed independently, and work with other databases not just with Oracle
