Reg Batch Manufacturing templates

Hi,
I came across Batch manufacturing templates in SDN, after going thorugh the templeates are more or less talking with the ERP, how about if one wants to use these templates with MES integration?
Did anyone tried enhancing these templates with integration of MES systems?

Hi Raveen,
While I am not aware of anyone who has definitely integrated the Batch Manufacturing templates with an MES system, I know there are projects to do so.
Just remember the templates are templates. They provide a good to very good starting point for integration with ECC and demonstrate useful techniques and conventions for the use of MII in a manufacturing environment. And they also provide examples of different styles since they were built by a group of 7 different MII developers (mixed partner and SAP). Some were based upon existing templates from MII 11.5 and 12.0 (which are also available from SDN). And I highly recommend downloading those as well.
Integration to MES is fairly dependent upon your facility, equipment (data sources), and goals. While each solution will be unique, it won't necessarily be that much different in basic design from others with the same features.

Process order release date as batch manufacturing date

Hi All,
We have automatic batch creation during the release of the process order. Now the requirement is that proess order release date should be updated as Batch manufacturing date in the corresponding Batch data (MSC3N). How this can be done.

Hi Vinamrath,
Hope your proess order release date and the batch creation date are same.
In such case go to txn CT04 (create Characteristic) and create a Characteristic say "Batch manufacturing date". Then in the tab Addnl data maintain the table name as "MCH1 or MCHA" and Field name as "ERSDA" (created on-this is the batch creation date).
In case your proess order release date and the batch creation date are not same, then there is a field called " HSDAT" -date of manufacture.you can maintain this field name in addnl data.
Maintain this Characteristic in classification (CL02)
Then this will get updated in the batch and same can be viewed in MSC3N

Population o batch manufacturing date automatically through process mesages

Hi gurus,
We sre using control recipe to download data into MES system and uploading data through process message to do the confirmation and goods receipt. We are using batch management and calculating shelf life expiration date at the time of confirmation using manufaturing date + shelf life. Now the issue is, through process message we are not able to populate batch manufacturing date automatically and getting confirmation error after sending the process message to SAP. In process messgae category we are using characterics PPPI_END_DATE,PPPI_EVENT_DATE, PPPI_START_DATE as a date field.
Can anybody suggest how can we populate batch manufacturing date automatically through process mesages.

Header batch manufacturing date to be update after 261 movt of any compane

Dear all ,
we have one requirment in that ....suppose we have one Process order , we done companent batch determiantion
now what happens whenever we do confirmation ..means 101 then Manufacturing date at Header bacth updates , ( the 101 date is set as Manufacturing date. ...Now when we do picking i.e goods issue of any companenet under order , that date shud
be there as manufacturing date for that header batch .
pls suggest.

Batch Manufacturing date

Hi there,
my customer controls the stock they manufacture with batch numbers.
The customer wants the due date of the production order to be inserted in the manufacturing date field on the batches setup screen when completing the production order.
I have tried without any luck...can someone please help me with this...

I am aware of the function of maintaining batches, but this happens after the production process has been completed.
I need to populate the manufacturing date during the production process...
e.g. Production has been completed, the user opens a receipt from production and selects the production order, when adding the receipt from production the batch setup screen appears and the user can complete the batch details for the item manufactured, on this screen they want the manufacturing date to be populated automatically from the Production order due date...
I will try to use UDF's to see if it works...

We want to maintain batch at material level. How to configure in ECC6.00. Pls help me giving the step by step configuration guide. and also AFS configuration guide.

Hi,
Follow the steps:
1.Field---VFDAT and table-MCHA should be created as a charecter in CT04 and assigned to a class in CL02N.
2.create MM01 and add the class to it in classification view.
3.In mm01 plt storage1 view give data for remainning shelf life and total shelf life and in purchasing view activate batch management.
4.OMJ5- activate SLED for your plant and mvt type 201.
5.opj2- set BD for your plant.
6.create sort sequence in cu70 and assign your charecteristic value to it.
7.create batch serch strategy in MBC1 for access sequence(plt/matrl/mvt typ) create a condition record.
8.Do a GR using 501 and enter SLED related details.(production date and exp date values)
Repeat the above step and enter diffrent values for SLED details.
So now two batches are created with SLED as the charecteristic.
9.Do a GI using 201 mvt tye in MB1A and enter * in batch field(system will determine the batch using the SLED value basedon the criteria(ascending or descending which was set in the sort rule.)

MII Manufacturing Templates Updated

The SAP xApp Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (xMII) Templates have been updated. The updates include additional transactions and also some web pages have been added to the project.
These can be found under Download -> for Manufacturing -> SAP xApp Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (xMII) Templates.

hai ,
while doing the G.I (goods issue) for batch determination material ,i want the system to take automaticaly from the stock of another batch .
for this where we have to configure the settings in batch determination .
For example :
G.I is 100 pc.
first batch had 50 pc stock
second batch had 75 pc stock
i want that the system to take automaticallyfrom the second batch stock. while doing the goods issue of 100 pc.

Here we have to assign the Strategy type to the appropriate procedure
Logistic General u2013 Batch Management-Batch Determination and Batch Check- Batch Search Procedure allocation and check activation-allocate IM search procedure /activate check
Logistic General u2013 Batch Management-Batch Determination and Batch Check- Define Sort Rules (CU17)
While doing MIGO
Select the stock determination icon to distribute the quantities based on batch classification, copy the selected items from the below list and post.

Reg batch determination for recoveries

Dear all,
During a process we get some recoveries and we accumulate all thses recoveries using backflush, after getting 5 or 6 batches when we want to issue these instead of fresh material in process order we want system to automaticlly select the batch what is the setting to be done for these recoveries backflush is maintained in MRP2 view, so even at the time of goods issue to process order system should automatically select the batch on FIFO

I do not think it os possiblr in stasndard SAP .Even if afert getting 5 or 6 batches of recoveriy you have to determinr batches manually during confirmation ( If Back flushed ) or in proceess order determine the batches for same recovries material then during confirmation system will not ask batch no .
But either in Process order or during confirmation you have to determine batches system will not take it autamatically.

Dear,
In process order you can't find out the date on which batch determination is carried out
only possible way is activate Order Change management
So that changes will be recorded, if the batch determination is carried out IN CO02,
You can see the changes in table PCDHDR, PCDPOS
or by program RSSCD200,RSSCD150 &RSSCD100
or through AUT10
If Batch determination is carried out No change log means, at that time of creation batch is determined

Reg batch determination for nagative qty with backflush

Dear all,
In a process order for a component with batch management if quantity is given in negative and backflush activated,how to carryout batch determination.( I am getting error as batch cannot be determined for - ve quantities)

Hi,
In BOM if the qty is negative, that means its a By Product from the process. That means you are receiving a new batch of the product. here you need to assign (create) a new number for the batch.

During uploading of material master templtes for one packing material batch management tick was not activated and stock was taken in without batch management, is there any procedure by which we can activate batch management now

Dear Venkat,
You must have loaded stocks with 561 movement ( initial entry of stock), best way is to reverse this entry (do 562) and then activate batch management.

Reg batch specific serial number

Dear all,
In a process order where serial number is activated for fert material, we want to have batch specific serial numbers for ex if batch no is 100409a1 and it contains 4 items we need the serial numbers as
100409a101, 100409a102, 100409a103, and 100409a104 how to achieve this.

Hi All,
i have done file to file scenario using communication channel template.
What i understood from that is
i created Communication channel Template in IR, and in ID part also then
The sender agreement,receiver agreement,interface determination, receiver determination generated automatically.
is it the only use for Communication channel Template?
Is there any chance to import the Communication channel Template from IR to ID?

Yes this the only use.CCT is the template i.e. its a guide which tells how CC will be in ID.

Reg: Batch Jobs

HI All,
I have scheduled a Background Job at 1: 30 PM. This Batch Job creates the orders in SAP.
In the step I have given the program name and the variant. I have scheduled this run on every day at 1: 30 PM.
For the first time this Batch Job ran TWICE. I am not sure why this ran twice even I have scheduled it only once.
Due to this for the same data it has two orders. After this it ran only once every day.
But If I go and see in SM37 it shows only once. Where I can check whether the Batch Job has ran twice or how could this happen?

Hi ,
If a job ran twice on the first time , then it should run 2 times everyday .
Possible some one must have explicitly run the program.
Please check the Spool of the backgroud to confirm this if the program has some write statements.
