Reg : Blackberry Z10 switched OFF

Hi I got my blackberry mobile in Amazon at last month, I am facing the problem that the battery is having 20% of charge eventhough my phone is gng to sitched OFF for some time

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
Remove the battery
Wait 15 minutes
Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs. If that does not cure it, then do the process again, but this time increase the wait on step 4 to 2 hours, and perhaps as long a 4-5 hours.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Blackberry curve switching off

Hi everyone i have had my new blackberry for about a month now and in the passed 2 days ive gone to use it and it just switches off and will not restart even when removing the battery and re fitting it.The only way to get it to restart is to plug it back into the charger and it comes on but says the battery is flat although i no it cant be as it was charged up all night. Is there any way of re booting it or has anyone else had this problem.Thank you

I have a similar problem.  It will turn off in teh middle of a call where I know I have service and a freshly charged battery.  When mine startsup again, it can cycle for an hour or more trying to re-boot.  I get alternating black screens and the hour glass.  the longest this has happened is for 2 hours!!

    Go to Solution.

Fold a small piece of paper and wedge it along the top edge of the battery (the top, opposite the end with the contacts). See the image below where the red arrows are.
Try that a few days and see if the restarting persists.

  • My z10 switches off at 50% battery

I don't understand why my device switches off at half the battery even when it has half charge left . could anyone help me.

What is happening is that your on-device battery meter is off-sync with the actual battery charge. Connect to your OEM wall outlet battery charger and while still connected and powered on, remove the battery a minute to reboot. After reboot leave to fully charge to 100%.
Thus will reset the false charge reading. You may need to do perform this procedure 2-3 times.

  • My BlackBerry z10 goes off at 70%

This started after I upgraded the phones OS to 10.1.02354, the phone goes off on its on @ 70%. I'm frustrated, please help.

    Hello
Issue came first in the z10 model stl 100 1 when the last release of 10.0 was updated and throughout the 10.1 this issue is present in z10 stl100 1 model. in 10.2 leak although this issue is resolved as now i am using it ....
basically what this error is  " your device battery meter goes off sync with the actual battery meter therefore your mobile gives different percentages for the differect battery level " as you said that z10 turning of at 70 % at this time your battery actually is fully discharged but your mobile goes from 100 to 70 % but your battery goes from 100 to 0 % . and when you charge again your mobile starts from 70 % and your battery from 0 %. am i correct ?
there are many things that you can do to correct it this off sync
    1. charge your mobile and then with your mobile connect to OEM charger ,  remove the battery for 1 mint then reinsert it .. do it 2 times a day for fews day it will correct your device meter ... but it do not work for all
    2. second as you said at 70 % your mobile goes off and you probably think there is a lot of battery but actually there is not .... mobile flash do not work when the battery voltage is below 3.4 v.... so to check it at 70 % open your camera and on the flash and try to capture the pic many time when your battery goes below 3.4 v you will notice flash is not working anymore ... at this time your mobile giving you false % .... to see it when your mobile goes off pul out the battery for 1 hour and then place the battery in then press power button for 3 sec then leave then for 5 sec then leave then for more than 1 mint then leave now plug the charger and do not press the power button you will notice your mobile start charging and after a while it will start and you will see mobile will be giving the actual % 10 or 20 and charging to 100 % ...
Note: do this when your mobile goes off ..
do update me with your feedback

  • BlackBerry z10 turned off automaticatly

Phn turned automatically when battery fall bellow 65% plz help..
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi niks1897
Your battery show false percentage. To correct it, reboot your device. When it's On, connect to the wall charger and remove the battery. Leave it for 20 minutes and keep it charging. This reboot will correct some programs/apps error and incorrect battery meter. You may need to do this reboot within next 1 or 2 days or when the same symptom show up.
    Good luck.

  • My Blackberry Z10 in dead mode....

Yesterday  i found my BB Z10 switch off in my pocket, i thought is happen because of low battery level. When i put it on charge, the red led light blinks 2-3 times and blackberry Word logo appear again and again. I try to charge the battery with the help of a wall charger but i fail to charge it. Now i don't know what to do..? Can anyone help me out..

Do you know anyone else who has a Z10 who will let you try with their battery to see if your Z10 will boot with a known good battery?

  • !!!My New Z10 turned off and Is NOT turning back on!!! URGENT

My Blackberry Z10 turned off today, and when I try to turn it back on the red led light stays on for 2 minutes and turns off but nothing else happens.
I tried doing a hard reset using the keys, i tried plugging into computer and connecting to BlackBerry Link and still nothing. I don't know what to do other than returning it.
Developer: I am a developer and have a dev alpha, i have downloaded the autoloader to make updates to my dev alpha. I am wondering if it would be safe to connect my Z10 to my computer and run the autoloader. I know the dev alpha's don't have the latest update for BlackBerry 10, so I am wondering if I did this will I also not have the latest update. Or, after installing the AutoLoader can I use software updater to get the latest OS?
Can someone help me quick, I have meetings today and need to be able to communicate with people.

It's new enough that I would contact Bell and see about a replacement. It's possible the software can be reloaded but it may have a problem.

  • Blackberry z10 reboot while recharging

Yesterday my blackberry z10 drained off...Today i charged my mobile but its not getting charge but rebooting continously..

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
That situation may well require an AutoLoader OS reload:

Hopefully you already have a good recent backup and/or have your data all synchronized with a web-based service.
