I am new to CRM. I want to learn CRM IC Web Client i am having CRM IDES. For doing the CRM IC Web client what r the softwares we requred and can any one have deatalied steps regarding installation of IC Web client. pls tell process for this.

If it is 5.0
you will need to do/have the following
1.Java (TM) 2 platform ( minimum req is 1.4.2)
2.ccsui.jsp for simulating the calls in CIC
3.crm_cfs logon for fact sheet
4.crm_ic_ise for script editor.
there is a range of settings/profiles to be made for ICW cheers!

is there any relation between pcui and other web based applications like internet sales(b2b,b2c e-sales,e-service,e-marketing,,icss) and cic(for call center users) and sap portal(channel partners/b2b-one of the application).
is there any difference between launching crm_ic directly than from launching it from crm_ic. do i do the setting for cic webclient settings in spro or se80. i think bsp applications for cic webclient are done from se80 and the configuration for cic webclient.please tell me if it is not right.
where we will generate the url for this cic webclient and internet sales so that the users can use that url and login from anywehre in the world through internet browser.

CIC win clent and web client are there upto 5.0.
Now WIn client is obsolete, only webclient is there.
Differences: Win client wil work with in the network only. Web client will work if you have a internet fecility.

It can be used for any business transactions via phone, e-mail, chat, paging, Web call back, or voice-over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
Web client will be webased user can open any where and do the transactions.
Now in crm2007 there is no win client, only WEB CHANNEL is there.
This area of SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) enables you to turn the Internet into a profitable sales and interaction channel for both business partners and consumers by providing your customers with a personalized Web experience and convenient self-services. The CRM Web Channel applications cover Web-based sales and service transactions, targeted marketing, and analytics for system and customer behavior.
Through BSP application we will develop the web channel. In new version there are many customization in webchannel.

Adding new search fields in identifying accont in CIC Web client

Hi All,
How do I do to add a new field (not in BOL) to search for in the identiyng account in CRM 4.0 Interaction Center Web client.
We have extended the BOL with the new field and add it to the BSP for BupaSearchB2B, But what and where do I add functionality to also actually use the field content when searching for business partners.

I am facing the same problem we are adding one field to identify account in CRM 4.0 IC WEBCLIENT , field name is CIF NUMBER (bu_sort1 or bpext) , I identified that it is not an standard BOL field , can you please update me how you added the new field to bol structure and what is the follow up process to provide complete functionality like the existing fields , Please extend your help regarding this field addition , it is very urgent

Components Required for CIC Web Client

We have a question about CIC installation components for CRM 5.
When we check the "Upgrade Master Guide" for "mySAP Customer
Relationship Management" ( Pages 58 - 61 ) for all CIC components, we
do not find that JAVA components are required for CIC ( Like JCRM).
When we see details from Best Practices Doucment for CRM component matrix, we see that its required.
We are not sure what to do. We were under the impression that Java
components are not mandatory for CIC forCRM 5. All we need is TREX and IPC.
Can someone please clarify/confirm ASAP as system needs to be build
accordingly. If we do need JCRM, what functionalities is this required for?

With 04s all required installations will be completed by default. Just that you have create a domain and the track to make use Webdynpro Components in NWDI.

Scripting Error in CIC Web

hi
Iam working on scripting for CIC Web Client. After completion of scripting and saving when iam trying to generate the Transport request for the same the movement i click on the Transport icon it populate the error message like "ERROR OCCURED"
Please give the solution for above Error
i will appreciate with full points for correct answer

actually i am designing the scripts with the same logic,
after designing i am uploading to desktop and attaching the required production client,
but still while i am executing the scripts , some time the "error occured " message is displaying ,
it displays for every mouse click on the Editor,
Note:
steps to transport scritps,
create scripts in Client A editor ,
go to Scripting profile attach the same scripts to the profile with Valid date.
then
upload the scripts to desktop
open IS Editor B ,
download scripts, in to editor
then create a transport from Client A to Client B,
this is the actual procedure to make the scripts work,
but now,
some time the trasported scripts name are displaying in the webclient , but when you tried to execute it doesnt show any results,
any input ,????

Hi Kumar,
just call transaction CRM_IC. It will launch your default web browser and start the CRM IC WebClient.
Please make sure that you assign your user to a CRM IC WebClient profile in advance.

Please start wth Mapping of functionality of business and how Win CIC is handling.
The Core Profile you want to look at is Web IC profile
The Business Transactions association to the Web IC profile.
Then also look at the Account identification in Master data of Web Client in SPRO for handling of BP
Look at the Navigation Bar profile associated with the Web IC profile.
For beginers it would be real nice to start with Default profiles and paly around and then you will come up with questions and start addressing them initially.
If you have SAP documentation for WebIC for Ver4.0 it will be a great help to you to understand how to configure also even if you have to do it in different version.

Call List in IC Web Client

Hello All,
I have successfully created a call list and am able to call people from the call list in IC Web Client.
When I click the "Full View" link on the top right corner of the screen, I see a table with the following fields: No, Name, Calling Times, Telephone, Attempts and Call Result.
After selecting the person to call, when I click on Dial button, it takes me to "Interaction Record". I fill the values there and save it successfully. Now when I come to the Call List again, the "Attempts" and "Call Result" columns show '0' and ' ' respectively.
When I have successfully called a person, why is the Attempts column not getting updated and why is the Call Result column empty. Also what values should have ideally gone to the Call Result column.
Your help would be greatly appreciated and rewarded.

To simulate a call:
1.) Configure Contact Center Simulator. (Refer C78 CRM Interaction Center Web Client )
2.) Launch the Contact Center Simulator page
3.) Click on the Information Link under the Telephony head, with information from here you will be able to launch an inbound call to a CIC Agent.

Email signature in IC Web Client

I'm trying to create an email signature for the IC Web Client that includes a hyperlink to my Intranet. However, I am struggling to perform, what I would have thought, to be a straight forward task.
I am proceeding as follows: -
1. From the SAP menu I navigate to Interaction Centre -> Interaction Centre Web Client -> Administration -> Agent Inbox -> Create Signature Text
2. I enter a name and Id of CICE for email signature and choose Create
3. From the top menu I choose Insert -> Text -> Hypertext
4. I'm now prompted for the Text Name of the item that contains my hypertext.
This is where it all falls apart for me as I don't have and don't know how to create any text that I can add in this screen.
Is anybody able to help?

Creating a DL will not suffice the requirement here. Recipient IDs are not always the same.

I updated to 20.0 and now my web client I use to monitor my home security (My-Q see) no longer works. What do I need to do.

My remote monitoring for my security ( My-Q see) worked fine until I updated to 20.0. Now Firefox pops up asking me to install web plug in kit. when I do, it still does not work even after restart.

I have the same problem with Firefox 20.0 and 20.0.1 .
I have tried changing various Firefox settings with no luck.
In Firefox version 19.x I was able to access the Q-See application with its native plug-in which is downloaded from the Q-See DVR, it didn't require any additional plug-in's.

Not able to access the Oracle I/PM web client.

I have started the Administration server and the Oracle I/PM Managed Server. Now I'm trying to access the Oracle I/PM web client at this URL: http://hostname:16000/imaging. But when I hit this URL, the following error comes up:
Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.4.5 404 Not Found
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.

I have checked that as well, it is showing the IPM_server in running mode.
Also it doesn't show any deployment failure in the command line. Here is what it shows:

Long time to start Java Web Client (Analyzer 6.2.1)??

Does anyone know why Analyzer(6.2.1) takes a long time to start Java Web Client. Sometime it's even take more than 5 minutes. I think it is the Java Plug-in starting on the client computer. Any solution?

The key to Analyzer 6.2.1 running correctly is the version of Sun Java Plugin. The ideal version (most optimal) is 1.3.0_02.Secondary to this if Analyzer performs OK once you are logged in then it could be down to the speed of your connection. The applet compiles at runtime (unlike Analyzer 5 which was a one time download). don't know what you mean by ADF Faces rich web client, but if you mean our Ajax component set, then this is not yet available outside of Oracle. If you mean ADF Faces as we have it in JDeveloper 10.1.3, create a JSF page and step through the creation process, toggle the ADF Faces libraries to make ADF Faces available

Spaces disappear from folder name when opened thrugh Web Client

Hi,
I am opening a pdf or word document through method EXECUTE of class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES.
Now if there are more than one space in the path (ex. D:tes t.pdf ) then file gets opened sucessfully if I log in through WIN client in SAP.
But if i log in through SAP WEB client ,then only one space is retained in the URL and rest of the spaces are removed by method and I get a message "Path D:\tes t.pdf" not found.
Any suggestions welcome?

Delete localstore.rdf or rename the file to localstore.rdf.sav in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] to test if the file is corrupted.

(caution: do not delete the localstore.rdf file in the Firefox program installation folder)
Note:
Deleting the file [http://kb.mozillazine.org/localstore.rdf localstore.rdf] will reset the customizations of the toolbars to the defaults.
You can rename "localstore.rdf" to "localstore.rdf.sav" to test if that solves it.
Then you can restore the customization by copying "localstore.rdf.sav" to "localstore.rdf" if it didn't work.
