Reg Custom GR message type

This is regarding GR Message Type WE03
As part of Global template GR form for message we03 is already exists ..
we need to develop new form for current roll-out , initially we decided to have a our own GR custon message for this purpose
But when i see standard condition record combination for this message is Trans./Event Type-Print version-Print item, this combination will not allow us to have our own custom GR message ..
Is there any way to set up such away that for the specific plant or Purchase org this custom message is triggered?

Its our requirement to have 2 messages printed right? So in your case, you attach normal report to WE01 and attach then new report to WE03, this way whenever users want normal report print, they just pull it with material document No. and if new report is required, they pull the material document by adding WE03 in output type.

hi guys,
i never got to work with custom defined message types but got to work with already defined message types and i just want to know why exactly do u need this and can any one please share their experience, why they have to design a custom defined message types especially in SD and MM with an example.

What do you mean by custom message TYPE? We create custom messages all the time at my company, by never a custom message TYPE. Not sure what you mean here.

Reg:- Custom Error Message for 404 error in KM Document iView

Hi All,
We have a requirement to display a custom error page instead of the standard"404 - The requested resource is not available" displayed in KM document iView, when the resource in question doesn't exist.
Is it possible to display custom error message? If so, how can we achieve this functionality? What are the settings to be made?

But the scenario what I am talking about is different from the one mentioned in the link.
I am using a KM Document iView. In the iView parameter, Path to Document, I have given the path to a document which does not exist in KM.
For example, Path to Document - /documents/Test Folder/abc.html.
There is no document by the name abc.html in KM.
In this case, I get an error called "404 - The requested resource is not available." How can I get rid of this message and show a custom message instead?
Please note that, this message appears at the iView level (and not page level as mentioned in the link)

Idoc and message type not getting replicated in the receiver system

i have created a Z Idoc and didtributed the mode from system A ....I can see the distribution model in system B
However i cannot see the custom zidoc / message type in sys B.. Do i need to create the zidoc again in sys B

Hi Tarang,
at least ou need the required partner agreements and you should have a processing function for inbound IDoc. To implement this, the full definition of IDoc including Segment definition should be present in receiving system.
Just look at standard IDocs and do as they do.

Message Type not visible in BD10

Hi,
One of the message types is not visible in BD10. Will this appear if I add it using BD60 transaction. But my doubt is that all the message types visible in BD60 are again not there in the F4 help. Is there some othere place where the message type has to be maintained.

If you add required message type in BD60 you can see it. but the thing is BD10 is only for MATERIALS. So material related message types only you can see there. It you want to see customer related message type then you can go to BD12.
While creating message type in BD60, system should ask reference message type. You have to select one reference message type while selecting dropdown or pressing f4 for reference field in BD60. If you select MATMAS as reference message type there then you can see that message in BD10.

MIRO - customer-designed messages

Hi, I have a problem with a customer-designed message "ZGUT" out from MIRO -
we are executing debit-notes back to the supplier based on delivery-notes and for the printing we use a customer-designed message-type. Basically it works but the problem I have is that the printfile is only printed in the sign-on-language of the user!
As far as I know (acc. note 538379) SAP generates the printfile during booking the MIRO - for both header and position... ==> I do not find the point where the
2 lines in NAST are generated and I tried as well to activate the user-exit but I cannot debug them because pgm does not run into it during the booking...
I implemented as well note 932795 and at least I can change the language for the header message manually to e.g. "EN" - but the language code does never come from the supplier himself... ==> I have then 2 entries in the NAST (header with "EN" and line-message with "DE") ==> We print the files with transaction MR90 but you do not see field "SPRAS" from NAST - therefore we do not have a clean proces..
Did anybody work on this problem before? Please give me a hint.... Txs in advance and br

Hi, the output type is "ZGUT" which is a "customer-created" one ==> I checked
all notes acc. customer-creation within Application "MR" ==> program is RM08NAST and FORM-routine is ENTRY_ERS, we use then form "ZMR_PRINT" for it.
We have 2 media in it, but the 2nd is media fax and does not refer to Form ZMR_PRINT - I guess the second enty comes from the position . will mean that
SAP creates 1 one printfile because of the header and one because of the line...

Regarding Message Type in ALE

hi guys,
i was involved in Master data distribution using Message Types MATMAS, DEBMAS and CREMAS but never created a customer specific Message Type that is why, i just want to know in what cases do we have to create our own message type's using we31, we30 and we81 and we82.
can any one out here help me out by sharing giving some real time scenario's in what cases do we exactly have to create our own message type.

Hi Pavan,
There is no hard and fast rule that you use standard or custom message types...
SAP has provided messages for almost all scenarios. If you don't have enough fields in standard messgae type, you can enhance it to accumulate your requirement.
But if the organization has completetly custom defined system (involving many Z-tables) , we create custom message types...
As far as my knowledge, we should try to go ahead with standard message types by suppressing unnecessary segments and enhancing existing segments just to avoid Z-objects.

New Message Type from HRMD_A

Hi Pals,
      I have created a new Custom Z message type and included some custom segments (Custom infotypes).
      i have to write a BADI Implementations if you have any sample coding pls do send me.
      I do have done all configurations like bd64, we20, we30, we81, we82, we57, we59.
      do i need to populate custom segments of custom messagetype in BADI or its automatically populated ?
      pls reply me with helpfull solutions.

Custom - Material Master Update using an IDOC (Message Type - MATMAS_BAPI)

Hello everyone,
I was writing a functional specs. Basically, I want to update the material master MM02 using an IDOC (MATMAS_BAPI01 - Basic Type & MATMAS_BAPI - Message Type). This is currently working.
To my understanding, this currently uses function module - BAPI_IDOC_INPUT1 to update the material master after the IDOC is posted to SAP ECC from XI system.
Now I want to add one small validation logic before it actually updates the material master (MM02).
I looked around and found one exit - EXIT_SAPLMV02_002 in enhancement MGV00001. I was almost sure that this EXIT can be used to write the custom validation code before, actual MM02 updation.
However while trying to establish a link between this EXIT and BAPI_IDOC_INPUT1, I found that EXIT_SAPLMV02_002 is actually a part of another function module - IDOC_INPUT_MATMAS01 and not BAPI_IDOC_INPUT1. I am stuck here if adding the custom logic in the exit really going to work.
a bit of googling and I found from WE30 that the purpose of both these function modules are actually different. While BAPI_IDOC_INPUT1 actually create & updates the material master (also plant specific master data which is my need), IDOC_INPUT_MATMAS01 is just for maintenence of few fields in MM02 (may be custom fields).
Can anyone point out if my thing is in right direction?
Also please offer any solution where shall I put the Custom Logic in the EXIT or the some variants of
BAPI_IDOC_INPUT1.
A less technical explanation would be appreciated as I come from a functional background and invloved in this for writing the func specs. I want to make it sure that what I write is not useless and makes some sense.

Did some head breaking with the function module - BAPI_IDOC_INPUT1 to check whether it is calling the EXIT_SAPLMV02_002 internally. Couldn't get anywhere.
On question of another EXIT in BAPI_IDOC_INPUT1, I don't see any. I am not very proficient in ABAP code, I must say though.
I found the list of exits from google, almost same list everywhere.

step 1 ) Define idoc extension for HRMD_A01 using WE30 transaction and define it in partner profiles
step 2) do i need to write some code in BADI also to update information for my custom infotype also if yes then where and which BADI pls let me know ? because already am working on one badi HRALE00INBOUND_IDOC for few validation for incoming data.
step 3 ) add this new custom infotype in my standard ALE filters.
Pls let me know if am mistaking some where or if i have to do some thing else ?

Error in Custom generated IDOC message type for XIF

Hi all,
I had generated a custom message type under interface function module crmxif_partner_save for enhanced fields. While generating from BDFG it popups inconsistency sap notes which is already in crm 2007. so i just ignaore them. idocs are generated sucessfully with this custom message type. but i should release this message type here it throws error

ZHRMD_A Custome message type issue with custom segments.

Hi Experts,
We have implemented ALE in HR system, we have all other ALE using HRMD_A and we have jobs scheduled for HRMD_A message type. We dont want this job should trigger our model and distribute the data. So we have reduced the HRMD_A messae type to ZHRMD_A for basic type HRMD_A06. Every thing fine. After upgrade of SAP FROM ECC6.O to EHP4, PFAL is not creating IDOC segements for custom segments Z*. for example Z1P0002....ETC, though there is personal data for PERNR.
Please guid if you have come across such situation and solution.

In the same way i too have one situation like...have different model view with same message types( and same extension type) for various countries from one sender system.
Should i create reduced message type for each model view?
Or can i use same message type HRMD_A for various model views?
If i can use same message type and same extension type for various model views is there any restriction we need to write in USER EXIT EXIT_SAPLRHA0_004?

Custom segment does not exist for message type Debmas_cfs

Hi,
I have created a custom segment YEXTRA for basic type DEBMAS06.
I have done the configuration in We82 and We20.
I have implemented the segment in User Exit "EXIT_SAPLVV01_001". Now when I am executing the TCODE BD12 then it is creating the Idoc with custom segment. But when I apply the filter on sales org in BD64 then it starts giving me error that " Segment Y**** does not exist for message type DEBMAS_CFS.
Kindly suggest if I need to do some other configuration also.

To add custom segments, you should create an extension.
the TCODE is we30.
