2) It is also observed that on querying
select * from dba_registry
XDB Oracle XML Database 9.2.0.4.0 INVALID 12-MAR-2007 19:20:03 SYS XDB DBMS_REGXDB.VALIDATEXDB (null) (null)
the Oracle XML database is in INVALID state and some of the packages "XMLATTRCOVER","XMLDOCUMENTCOVER","XMLTEXTCOVER" ETC are in invalid state.
Please any ideas would be great in resolving the issue.

If it still stays INVALID after that, follow Metalink Note 243554.1 to Deinstall and Reinstall XML Database

I have a base template (which has never been sysprep'd) from which I create linked clones. After the linked clone comes up, I run the following command:

This is typical of an OEM license issue.
To avoid this in the future you should look at site/volume licensing.
Anyway.
so, first check if you can re-arm by runing the
slmgr.vbs /dlv and check the re-arm counter, if it set to zero.. you need to do the following :
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929828 (set the <SkipRearm>1</SkipRearm> like in the example, note: this option will make the product key window to appear in the setup process).
you can also try running : slmgr.vbs -rearm, to rearm Windows.
after that, let's come back to the sysprep process.. for syspreping already syspreped machine we have to change few keys in the registry :

Start -> Run : msdtc -uninstall (wait few seconds)

Restart the machine
Check the registry for the right registry keys values

Looking at the logic you are trying to create it looks like you are looking for overlapping time periods.
Consider two date/time ranges:
Range 1 : T1 - T2
Range 2 : T3 - T4
Do they overlap?
1) No: T1 < T4 (TRUE) T2 > T3 (FALSE)
T1 --- T2
T3 --- T4
2) Yes: T1 < T4 (TRUE) T2 > T3 (TRUE)
T1 ---------- T2
T3 --- T4
3) Yes: T1 < T4 (TRUE) T2 > T3 (TRUE)

So you can code the logic in your SQL as simply:

Invalid State Identifier Error

I have implemented breadcrumb by using "a href="javascript:history.back()". The naviagtion is upto 5 repots and hence the breadcrumb will have 5 links. The issue is sometimes i get "Invalid State identifier" error with some random number when i click on any link in the breadcrumb.
Unable to trace the root cause of this issue. Please provide your thoughts.

There's pretty much no diagnosing those -- they are the equivalent of the random errors in Windows for which tracing the root cause is fruitless. Basically, these are the last out in the programming code -- some event occurred for which there is no handler in the code. The fix is a code update that handles the event...but, again, knowing what the event is is pretty much impossible. So, there are a few things to try:
Sometimes, the code simply becomes corrupt and needs to be refreshed -- just like a reboot:
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
If it won't boot up cleanly, then you may need to try Safe Mode:

The toughest possible cause is a badly behaving app. To find it, there are a couple of options. One is to see if you can read the log file:
Go to the home screen. Hold down the "alt" key and type 'lglg'. (You will not see anything while you type).This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably many pages) untill you see a line that says 'uncaught execption'. Click on this line. The name of the app will be in the info. Alternative methods for bringing up the logs are in this KB:

The other method is to remove apps one at a time, waiting a while in between (I usually recommend a week), until the problem ceases...thereby discovering the offending app. Still another method is to reload the BB OS cleanly, leaving some time between adding other apps onto the BB so as to be able to determine exactly which one is the cause.

Unable to fetch columns; Invalid state/No Suitable Driver
Hi!
I'm trying to populate a combo box with data from a MySQL database (or any other database for that matter), I create a JDBC connection source, and set the following:
URL = jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/test
Driver = org.mysql.jdbc.Driver (i have also tried org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver)
Username = anonymous
Password = <blank>
Next I create a NBJdbcRowSet and set:
Command = SELECT * FROM foo
Connection Provider = connectionSource1 (the above connection source)
Now if I click the elipses next to Default Column Values, I get the message 'Unable to fetch columns; Invalid State'
If I replace the NBJDBCRowSet with a NBCachedRowSet, the error becomes 'Unable to fetch columns; No Suitable Driver'.
The database is browseable in the runtime tab, and the table exists (I can run SQL queries and get the expected results). The anonymous account exists and has access to the tables in question (the same setup is used in a few different applications, all of which work fine). Using the root account gives the same results. Using the PointBase example database gives the same results:
Driver: com.pointbase.jdbc.jdbcUniversalDriver
URL: jdbc:pointbase:server://localhost:9092/sample
Details of setup:
OS: Windows XP Pro SP2
IDE: Sun Java Studio Enterprise 7 2004Q4

PointBase: As came with Studio Enterprise
I should mention that I can get DB connectivity in my app, I can create a comboBox and set the model to 'nBCachedRowSet1: name' and the contents of that field appears in my comboBox, however I need to create about a dozen tables and I don't relish the thought of manually creating models for each one ;)

So this is where I get the problem, I'm not sure if i've buggered it up though, so I continue to see if I can get data:
- Add Column: NAME
- OK, Close
* Config ComboBox
- Open Model dialog
- Select Mode: ComboBoxEditor
- RowSet: nBJdbcRowSet1 (this throws the error again)
- Column: NAME (entered manually, dropdown is empty)
- OK, Close
* Run app

Seems like the GUI builder did something wrong - it generated a bunch of functions for each thing i added, like this:

and the project won't compile. I figure out it should be like this:
public void setJComboBox1(javax.swing.JComboBox val) {
this.jComboBox1 = val;
but the functions aren't doing anything anyway, so I delete them all. I'm starting to think my installation is borked.
Project now compiles and runs, but there's no data, and I get:
ClassNotFoundException: com.pointbase.jdbc.jdbcUniversalDriver
At this point i should probably find the jar with that driver in it and mount this/add it to the classpath, but the boss has decided we'll use Borland Delphi 2005 .NET anyways, so I won't take this any further...

I have managed to get the probe into FAIL state again for a moment by removing it from serverfarm, and then reapplying, but in a few seconds it goes again from FAIL to INVAILD state, and stays in this state regardless of avaliability of probed TCP port. Only when i'm reapplying it when the port is avaliable/up, it can stay in SUCCESS state, and work till the failure of service, when INVALID state reappears.
What can be the cause of such behavior ?

You may need to collect a #show tech-support and do the following:
-remove the serverfarm in question
-reboot the ace module under a maintenance window.
You may upgrade to a higher version since your version is kind of old.

Database Logon prompting is in invalid state
Hi
I have written code in Visual Studio .NET 2010 and downloaded the CrystalDecisions Client components on my local. Our System is working fine with existing Classic ASP code and we are in a plan to upgrade from 2003 to 2008 Server R2. So, thought of to re-write the code from Class Asp to Asp.NET and I am successful in converting the code and was able to execute properly until last friday i.e., 30th May, 2014. But all of a sudden since June 2nd do not know what happened but all the reports are not working as expected and the Crystal viewer is opened up and a dialog opens up as enter the login credentials. Our Login information is giving a userid and password of the DSN created. So, after giving that, the report throws an error saying
"Database Logon prompting is in Invalid state".
All the reports are in Enterprise Session loaded on a different server.
I do not see neither code change in the last 4 days nor there is a change in the Enterprise Console environment. So, I do not know the root cause of the issue. I did googled it but no one had this kind of issue earlier.
PLEASE HELP! ITS VERY URGENT.!!!!

Version of CR / BI / BO?
What database?
How are you connecting to the database.
You saying that the reports are in Enterprise Session, makes me think that you may be using BI / BO, but that is just a guess... However if you do have BI / BO, yo should be able to log a support incident via the SAP Service Market Place (SMP) (?).

In what way can an index go in invalid state????????
I did a lot of activity in my database and i found one of my index is in invalid state...i got an error
......Error occured is ORA-01502: index 'MUMBAI.SYS_C0013323' or partition of such index is in unusable state......
Can anybody tell me what activity (or set of activies) can lead to invalid state of Index????/
How to check if any other index is is Invalid state????????

Following are some reason for index to be marked UNUSED;
Operations like Import Partition or conventional path SQL*Loader
that offer an option to bypass local index maintenance. When the
Import is complete, the affected local index partitions are marked
IU.
Partition maintenance operations like ALTER TABLE MOVE PARTITION
that change rowids. These operations mark the affected local index
partition and all global index partitions IU.
Partition maintenance operations like ALTER TABLE SPLIT PARTITION
that modify the partition definition of local indexes but do not
automatically rebuild the index data to match the new definitions.
These operations mark the affected local index partitions IU. ALTER
TABLE SPLIT PARTITION also marks all global index partitions IU
because it results in changes to rowids.
Index maintenance operations like ALTER INDEX SPLIT PARTITION that
modify the partitioning definition of the index but do not
automatically rebuild the affected partitions. These operations
mark the affected index partitions IU. However, if you split a
USABLE partition of a global index, resulting partitions are created
USABLE. If the partition that was split was marked IU, then so are
the partitions resulting from the split. Note that dropping a
partition of a global index that is either IU or is not empty causes
the next partition of the index to become IU.

Imap and Pop not working on 2013 servers - BAD Command received in Invalid state

We recently moved our frontend server over to Exchange 2013. So now both internally and externally all mail traffic will flow through the new servre. After battling issue after issue I was able to get the new exchange environment working as it should. The
only problem is that IMAP and POP3 logins do not work for 2013 mailboxes. It works fine for 2010 but not 2013. Here are the results from the testconnectivity website:

Package is invalid state when called in Trigger
Hi All,
We have a trigger in which we are calling procedure(which is created in some package). Every time the trigger is called it returned an error
'Package is in INVALID State".We tried to clean the app pool and that error went away but now it started coming again.
Please help as we have been struggling hard for this .
Database is ORA 10g.

Uncaught Exception DSSMA Invalid State (5) 37
I have been running in circles with sprint tech support and can't get a straight answer. Of course their solution is to always do a hard reset but that still doesn't solve the problem.
So here's the story...
For the first time yesterday, I connect my blackberry to the computer at work with blackberry desktop manager and outlook to initiate my blackberry enterprise server app for my phone. When it was finished, it said the phone needed to restart so I selected yes to restart. When it loaded back up I had an error uncaught exception dssma invalid state (5) 37 now I can't find that exact error code anywhere to tell me exactly what it is. I have found others but I don't think they are specific to my issue. So after this error, I can't access some messages like texts or other emails I have setup. And I don't see the app for my enterprise server on my phone. Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like you will need to reload the software on the device and try the Enterprise Activation process again.

Invalid state error when using concurrent sessions in Discoverer Viewer
We are oracle 10g DB for Oracle BI Discoverer Viewer application.
We have a problem when a user logs in with the same ID on two different sessions under one machine(1 mac address).
The error message is as per below.

"The Application encountered an invalid state.
No state was found matching the state identifier provided. This can happen if your session timed out. Please start the operation again.
Indez: 10, Size:0"

The index and size varies at different times.
We suspect that the problem's caused by a confusion between the StateIDs of the two sessions. This can be replicated by modifying the querying URL; by manually changing the value of the StataID parameter.
It will be good if somebody can help us on this...

Albin AbrahamAre you using the same browser for the two sessions? I have seen instances where the user opens, say, IE, connects to Disco, and runs a worksheet. They then open another IE window, start another session, and run a different worksheet. What I believe was happening (and I'm not sure because we told the users to stop doing this) was the second browser may have tried to "reuse" the java session started by the first browser. When you went back to the first browser, it no longer had a valid session because the second browser had taken it.
To have to independent sessions, I'll start one in IE, and another in Firefox, or Netscape. This keeps the sessions from getting mixed up.
Then again, I could be wrong... -

I am new to oracle cep, I wrote a simple query....
"select * from inputChannel RETAIN 5 EVENTS" but some how it shows the error as .
Invalid statement: "select one from >>inputChannel RETAIN<< 5 EVENTS"
Cause: generic syntax error
Action: The syntax expects '[', as, match_recognize, xmltable, end-of-file, ')', ',', where, group,
having, order, left, right, partition, on, primary token
Any help is greatly appreciated.
