Reg: DS enhancement

hi experts,
am creating a bex query ..which contains of PR CREATOR , SERVICE ENTRY SHEET CREATOR, PO CREATOR..but in my bw target i can see
0created by field only. Our MM team has given EBAN-ERNAM FOR PR creator ,
EKKO-ERNAM FOR PO CREATOR and ESSE-ERNAM for SES CREATOR. so how to
proceed now...awaiting your reply. I had a check in 2lis-02-itm but there is no ernam field. In our bw createdby field
is populating using routines. So how to proceed with above requiremnts.

Hi,
Check your data source fields and info cube objects.
Understand and use proper info object at bex level,
EBAN - ERNAM as PR Creator
ESSE - ERNAM - SES Creator
EKKO-ERNAM for PO Creator
When you have such requirement then your cube may have those fields.
those might be filled thru data source or thru look ups(mean directly added to cube,filled thyr lookups).
Recheck your data flow and understand it.

Could u please send me the approach of the following issue.Recently i did a r&d reg transaction data field addition to the existing data source.Finally i come to know that i did a mistake.I did it as follows its an addition to sd billing data source(2LIS_13_VDITM).
My addition is its a value which gives Vertical %.
I did it as follows
1) I check DS at RSA6>2)Then i select it and enhance it>3)Then I go to CMOD.->4)i give the projname>5)i go to the user exit for t-data.then i enter in to the ABAP editor screen then i give some code--->6)Then i replicate it to BW.
But unfortunately i did not get the data .
Could U please give me the exact process of enhance ment for an existing DS.If any doc can u just mail to the following e-mail: [email protected]
And also one more issue can u just give me the brief idea abt V3 control update.

Reg: DS enhancement code in production

Hi to all,
We are now in the production support. I want to change the DS enhanced code which is written in the implementation bcoz of performance reason. What is the procedure to do that and is there any prerequisites to take. No need to code help here.

Hi Babu,
You just need to change the code in EXIT from development system and then do a transport. The code changes will be directly reflected in production after transport.
You don't need to worry about any delta or anything else as there are no structural changes and new code will start executing from next extraction onward.
Just transport the EXIT FM, no need to transport DS or anything else. If you are doing further structural enhancement then you will have to transport other objects accordingly. But if you are only doing code changes then just transport EXIT.

Reg: BIPublisher enhancements validation.

I am validating some HCM ~ BIPublisher integration enhancements for Drop 7 Build 3 and I need some definite documentation on any sample implementation of these enhancements. The enhancements that need to be validated are as follows:
1. Merging of static template with a dynamic content just before printing to decrease the overload, for example if we take the W2 report which has a static instructions page which repeats for each employee followed by the dynamic content, which has information like taxes etc. So by creating only a single reference of the static template and integrating it with each of the employees dynamic content before printing would decrease the overload.
2. A template merged with an XML that will lead to generation of a final PDF output file of size greater than 2GB. Which should then lead to creation of a zip file with all the split output files with size <2GB and an index, this way the report outputs will be grouped together.
Please provide any specific implementations or documentation on these aforementioned enhancements would be very helpful. Bug #: 7143724 ~ for the enhancement numbered as 1. This bug gives links to PDFBookBinder as solution to this, but that doesn't give anything close to a solution to this, as in at least the link given isn't sufficient to implement this.

Query reg Variable Substitution with enhanced interface mapping

The scenario is IDoc to file using enhanced interface determination (message split based on some conditions) and the output file name should be based on a field value in the IDoc. So, I've tried using Variable Substitution Option in the receiver file adapter. But it's failing with the error 'com.sap.aii.adapter.file.varsubst.VariableDataSourceException'.
My question is does Variable Substitution works with Enhanced Interface Determination? Bcoz the outcome of interface determination is a main and sub payload.

Reg: Enhancements in std reports - Doubts

Hi Xperts
I'm trying to udnerstand the concpets of enhancements and would like to know the followig:
1. In a std report i want to add a parameter. Is it possible to do it using enhancements. As far i had seen explicit enhancements is not posible but only implicit.
2. if explicit enhancements are not possible in std reports then why enhancements when we have exits and badi which does the same job?
PS: Pls dont fwd any huge links. All i'm seeking is for logical anwsers.

Good question .
And the explanation is that you can surely have explicit enhancement-option to add a paarmeter to a report provided its given by SAP.
But in reports wherein the selection screen parameters are defined in an include, then by default the framework provides an option to enhnace using implicit EO at top of include which you probly have already seen.
Thus in reports you might not have seen an explicit option provided by SAP however its very much possible as you can create your own report and try creating an explicit enhancement option in that and then create an implementation for the same.
I tried out looking for some similar standard report to give you an example but wasn't successful.
For your second point you can see example report where in explicit enhancements are there in report, though not for the purpose you mentioned.

i am not getting view name in to runtime time repository . window and overview page config.
I am getting message u201CView ZBT126H_APPT/ICtask is not defined in the runtime repository that was loadedu201D

Here are a couple hints:
1) Make sure that all the services in transaction SICF are active. Specially the nodes below /sap/bc/bsp/sap
2) From the error message, looks like the runtime repository is corrupted. Please, compare the runtime repository of component BT126H_APPT and the one in ZBT126H_APPT. Probably, you will have to restore the runtime repository.

I am selecting 'Calculate Tax' Checkbox to update G/L accounts specified for a particular TAX code in the MIRO Screen simultaneously I want to update WBS element for that G/L accounts specified in the TAX code in MIRO level.

You will have the following,
1. 1 receiver dtermination where you cna keep on adding the 10 receivers but do not specify any condition
2. create 10 different mappings - one for each receiver but the source structure in all of them would be the same only the target structure will keep on changing.
e. g suppose source structure has 100 fields ....then consider mapping 1 which is for receiver 1 ...
   here you cann mapp say 10 fields to the target structure ...in mapping 2 for reeiver 2 you can map say only next 5 fields to the target strucure so on and so forth
3. you will also have 10 interface mappings
4. 10 interface determinations where you can specify the mappiings created above.....

i had seen so many eLearning concepts which sap provided to demonstrate the ENHANCEMENTS Topic,But in that they are using the Enhancement Spots which already created in $TMP Package,So To learn this concept i am trying to create the Enhancement Spots in $TMP , But it is not allowing me to create in $TMP and it's showing the error message like Enhancements can create in only 'SAP' Packages only,So if i will create in SAP Packages it is allowing,
But i would like to create Enhancement Spots in $TMP Package,So it would be appriciable any one could help me regarding this.

Reg: Loading historic data for the enhanced field

Hello All,
We need to add a new field 0VENDOR to our datasource 0FI_GL_4. This field is available in our BSEG table. Hence, we are planning to go ahead with datasource enhancement.
Now, please advice on how to update the historical data to this newly added field.I have heard there is a BW functionality/program to do so without deleting the entire data. Kindly advice on the possible solutions.

HI Sneha,
Using remodeling option you will be able to do that, ie.. loading historical data for new attributes without deleting existing data. But the problem is in remodeling either you can assign constant or some other attribute value or values determined using EXIT.
Now when you are loading data from source system and if you need historical data as well the best practise is delete existing data and reload it from source sytsem.
But if you don't want to do that then I can give you one trick but not sure whether it will work or not. The idea is to populate the historical values for 0Vendor using customer exit option of remodeling. Now to get the historical values in customer exit you will need all that data in some BW table, here you can think of creating some generic extractor which will store the values of all the documents and the respective vendor, as you will load data form source system you will get historical values as well.
Now read that table in customer exit and populate vendor value. This will be one time process to populate the historical values.

How to find the number of times the particular t-code has been accessed over a user defined period?
If the user didn't access the T.code, the report would show a 0 or a 2 if the user had accessed the report twice.
Do we have any standard table or function module for the same ?

Dont think there is any such FM or report that suites ur requirements.
But you can yuorself create such a functionality.
Create a Z-TAble and update / insert a record whenever the particulat tocde is accessed.
Then you will need to write a report, to display the results of the table.

Reg : ESS Webdynpro - Change Own Data - Enhancement

We have a requirement of adding a new field in the - ESS Change Own Data Standard Webdynpro Application.
This extra field is a new Subtype in Infotype 105
I have seen that the webdynpro application uses the RFC - HRXSS_COD_GET_DETAILS to get all the fields which have to be shown in change own data
So this would mean I have to add this new field in the Infoset /SAPQUERY/HR_XX_PA_ESS.. something like ZSYHR_A_P0105_AF_OVDID (custom id ) .
So my questions are
1) After creating a Custom Infoset - How to add & associate the new field (ZSYHR_A_P0105_AF_OVDID ) to the newly created Subtype in Infty Type 105
2) How to get the above field as the result of HRXSS_COD_GET_DETAILS?

You can change the reference to the new infotype or create one more export parameter for thet in your zrfc, this is ABAP thing, ABAP developer can do it man,

BW Enhancement - Connection Field

Hi
I want to enhance following fields in Data Source: 2LIS_13_VDITM / 2LIS_12_VCITM / 2LIS_11_VAITM.
a) Billing date FPLT- AFDAT
b) Billing Value FPLT- FAKWR
I am not able to find the connecting field in between the table : FPLT and above mentioned data sources. But this is a client requirement. Please advice me the solution.

I am seeing FAKSP Billing Block in the datasource and I think with this you can connect the FPLT Table which is Billing Planning Table.

0FI_AR_4 Extractor Enhancement without user exit code Question

I have a requirement to enhance 0FI_AR_4 Extractor with below Fields from BSID:
Field     DataElement
PRCTR       PRCTR
VPOS2       NUM06
VBUND       RASSC
As per SAP Note: 410799, I am assuming I don't need to write any ABAP code to populate these fields.
In the extract structure DTFIAR_3 of extractor 0FI_AR_4 Double clicked on the Include CI_BSID.
It prompted "Structure CI_BSID not available. Create the structure?"
After entering Access key it created new Structure "CI_BSID".
I have entered the Component and Component Type values as below:
Component   Component Type
YYPRCTR     PRCTR
YYVPOS2     NUM06
YYVBUND     RASSC
1. Please let me know Component and Component Type values and the steps I followed are correct or not?
2. And I hope I don't need to write the code in the User exit to populate these fields?

Hi,
For any FI datasource enhancement there are two scenarios :-
1. All the fields of the customer enhancement in the customer include are available in the read structure BSID
Then no additional action is required. The fields of the customer enhancement are filled automatically by the datasource from the assigned read structure via "move-corresponding".
2. Fields of the customer enhancement in the customer include are not contained in the read structure BSID
In this case you have to program a function module to fill the field of the customer enhancement. To do this, there is a Business Transaction Event available (open FI interface for process 00005021). Create any function module you like and use function module SAMPLE_PROCESS_00005021 as a template for the interface (input parameter, changing parameter).
