Hi All
Here I am working on Fpm  Newly in my application.
I went through many documents and tutorials ,but I am unable to understand purpose of FPM and where can we use it.
There no much clarity in the documents what i found .
I am tried to one application Fpm implementation in it .
I created ID
i created FPM_OIF_..component
I created FPM_IDR ... component
but with adding UIBBS those are not saving .
Here my requirement is what we need to add in UIBBS
Component
Configuration name
config.Variant
view
configuration type
etc..
Can any one please share there Exp on FPM .

FPM is a Floor plan manager it is used to provide similar User Interfaces and similar look and feel like it allows applications to follow a consistent pattern or road map.

  • How to pass data from one  UIBB to anothere UIBB in OIF/GAF - FPM

    Dear all,
    as of now i am using FPM only for displaying data  from different components.
    now i would like to pass the data from one UIBB to another by calling second UIBB on action of a button. (instead of using standard path in GAF scenario)
    how could i achieve this.  is there any difference mechanism's for UIBB's of single component and UIBB's from different different components.
    it would be great if some one can explain or help me reg this issue on both OIF and GAF FPM's.

    I've actually combined these two approaches to data sharing - I've passed a class reference in the shared data component. This is nice (in my opinion) because it is very obvious where the data is coming from and who it is shared with. It also means that there is not a huge overhead in passing data through the shared context, because you are just replicating a reference to a class instance.
    And -  you don't have to deal with singleton classes :-). So if you want/need to extend your implementation at a later date (for example embedding multiple instances of the same "app" in the one window - or suspending and resuming to another instance of the same app you can then do this. (NB - suspend resume to launch another FPM app does not work because of this (amongst other things)).
    NB a shared data component need not be faceless! I certainly have "shared data" UIBBs that also have UI components - possibly not best practice - but it certainly can be done.

  • Problems with xss_adapter in FPM ESS application

    Hello,
    We have a problem dealing with multiple languages in custom FPM apps for editing infotype 22 and 23 with portal.
    The apps are working correctly when the selected language is spanish but it fails with a NULL reference to xss_adapter object when the selected language is catalan.
    When debugging I can see how global variable xss_adapter of function pool HRXSS_PER_MAC is correctly instantiated with the call to HRXSS_PER_INIT_PERNR function. Althought when my custom function ZHRXSS_PER_READ_P0023_ES is executed to read the data for overview, this global variable is initial so I get the error: "Access via NULL object reference not possible., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE:"
    This does not happen for my application when the user has selected the spanish language, neither using standard app (i.e. essesaddr) in catalan.
    Did I miss any setup in my custom FM?

  • Application specific button on FPM toolbar to call action triggered in view

    Hello,
    In the content area of my FPM is an ALV with some buttons, e.g. clicking one of the button opens up certain ALV column for editing (for simplicity, I omit the details besides simply enable the columns).
    With FPM, I want the button to be placed in the toolbar as a application specific button. How do I achieve the same functionality e.g. from PROCESS_EVENT method calling an action (to open up certain ALV column for editing) via the application specific button placed on the toolbar communicating with the action/method found in the view controller ? Thank you.

    Hi Arvind,
    I tried as follows :
    - Create an event in the component controller, say 'MA'
    - Within PROCESS_EVENT, raise the event as follows :
      data : lo_fpm type ref to if_fpm,
             lo_event type ref to cl_fpm_event.
      create object lo_event
         exporting
            iv_event_id = 'MA'.
       lo_fpm = cl_fpm_factory=>get_instance( ).
       lo_fpm->raise_event( io_event = lo_event ).
    - In the view controller, create an event handler which subscribe to the event, MA of the component controller.
    However, the code in the event handler is never executed despite the event being raised. Not sure how FPM event flow works here.

  • Refresh of FPM SEARCH Component  from Program

    Hi ABAPers,
    I am facing a problem with the Search UIBB (IF_FPM_GUIBB_SEARCH). The selection works fine: I can select the lead-selection, and the result is correctly provided to another UIBB.
    Within this second UIBB the data may be changed. In this case, I would like to update my search result with the new data (simply to be read from the database). This unfortunately does not work.
    My controller (the feeder class) gets all things set, but the view (Webdynpro) is not being refreshed (unless I click the buttons on the screen). After my data is changed, I fire these two events
    lo_fpm->raise_event_by_id( if_fpm_guibb_search=>fpm_reset_search ).

    As I said, when changing the search critera and pressing the buttons on the screen, all things work fine - so the coding should be fine basically. But when I fire the events manually through my program code to initiate the same thing, nothing happens on the screen.
    Is there any flag to be set to get to get the interaction between controller und view running?

    Hi Torsten,
    so the problem is that the result data is not updated? The result data is propably displayed in a FPM List UIBB and has its own feeder class. Therefore I got start for analyzing this, would be to figure out the feeder class of that result list uibb. Then I would debug what happens in method get_data. The interesting parameters are ct_data and ev_data_changed.

  • Capture FPM Event in another WDC

    Hello Friends,
    I trying to capture the name of event liek EDIT,CLOSE,NEXT etc.. that are defined in FPM in a std WDC.
    I need this because based on the ID of the button , i need to process some information.
    Could you pls let me know how to handle this or any code would be fine. ?

    I am not trying to go into EDIT mode in std..WDC delivered by SAP .. but thru enh implementation..
    I do have dev authorization.
    The interface IF_FPM_UI_BUILDING_BLOCK  is already implemented in  WDC
    What I did was..
    In the component controller methods.. the method... PROCESS_EVENT  is not in EDIT mode..
    But i wrote  i wrote the code for capturing the instance of the FPM event in the post-exit of that method..
    When i tested this in portal.. this code not executed and hence unable to caputre the event.
    Is the design approach correct ? or is there another way

  • Mail can't send email from 123-reg accounts

    Hi all,
    I've got an issue with Mac Mail can’t send email from 123-reg accounts.
    I know there is a lot of articles on simular matters and some I have tried out with no luck, others are just speaking a whole other language.
    Any help would be greatly recived, here's my situation below:
    Running a iMac 2.8GHz Intel Core i5 on OS X 10.8.3
    I’m using 3 accounts on Macs Mail client, one is my iCloud account that is working fine and the other two are my 123-reg accounts that I use for business purposes. I’ve been working like this for a couple of years now and about 6 months ago I upgrade my operating system from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion.
    2 or 3 months ago I randomly got a problem where I was unable to send any emails from my 123-reg account, I could only receive emails. I checked my settings and they were all correct and unchanged so I attempted to delete them and recreate the account but with no such luck.
    I then decided to check if it was a problem at 123-regs end and attempted to log into web mail. This worked and was able to both send and receive emails so eliminated that possibility.
    I also have these accounts set up on my iPhone, so checked if there was any issues and everything was working fine. I then checked my iphone details and made sure the same was on my desktop and still no such luck.
    I’ve tried out some of the articles I’ve found on here (the ones written in plain English) still no results. I’m not very IT illiterate and just wondered if anyone else has got any ideas, whether there is something specific with 123-reg accounts and Mac Mail?

    I just setup nginx with mysql and php-fpm to my archlinux install and i need help.
    i checked all over internet and try every solution, none still work.

  • Nginx with php-fpm, connection with php-fpm.sock failed

    I am feeling stumped, trying to setup NGINX for the first time on Arch. Followed the wiki a few times and keep getting hung up in the same spot. I followed the instructions to install NGINX in a chroot, then went on to setup php-fpm. I have not tried setting up any sites, just trying to get to the point of showing the "it works" page, before I moved to setting up a site.

    In php-fpm.conf I have modified the permissions to be 0666 and I am still hitting the no such file or directory. But it is created.

    I just rebooted the box and was going over everything again to see if I missed anything or anything was not matching the wiki and the only extra info I could dig out of my box was new error in the logs relating to the nginx.pid

    It appears to have the proper permissions and it is not in /run/

    Going to try setting it up again on another box to see if I catch what I did wrong on this one, but will be leaving this one as is to make sure I figure out what happened. Is it that my chroot is bad? That is really the only thing I can think of that is really any different than other NGINX installs I have done, which have always been on a Debian based system.

    Might sound stupid, but do you have php-fpm running?
    Means, is there a php-fpm process on your box, and does the socket exist like in:

    The MSS ECM FPM Steps are not working after the upgrade. We use Java Webdynpro and MSS ECM (SP17), version 603.
    On cliking the FPM steps, nothing is happening, however we can navigate using the buttons.
    But this functionality was working before the upgrade.

  • FPM Message Manager message's HyperLink does not work in Table

    Hi FPM experts,
    I use FPM in my application and I want to use FPM Message Manager with hyperlink pointing to cells with errors in a table with report_bapiret2_message. The hyperlink does work when pointing on stand alone input field, but it does not work when pointing on a input field in a table.
    Here is a piece of my code. What's wrong?

    I am facing the same issue. Using FPM Message Manager  with the io_element and iv_attribute parameters pointing to an element in an context node having cardinality = "0...n" does not show the hyper link.

    I'm having a scenario where i use a JDBC adapter to extract data from a DB. As a result of the query say, 10 rows are returned as message to XI server. I have a transformation (BPM) set and the receiver(target system) is a file. When i open the file to see its contents i can see only the first record been transfered. The mapping part used for the transformation node is having IF condition. But all the fetched records satisfies the conditions in the mapping.
    Pls let me know the corrective step.

    1)Check the input XML i.e all 10 records are coming into XI . This you can check in SXMB_MONI
    2) Then you can test the mapping in the integration Reposiotry .. So now you can get if any mapping problem. For this , check is the occurence of target strcuture is 1..n or 0.n

    3) If mapping is correct , then check the RWB->Message Monitoring->Message Display Tool and check the payload.

  • How to set focus on specific search field in FPM's search guibb?

    Is there any way to set the input focus to a specifc search field in an FPM's search guibb? I found that there is a godd way for forms by using the IO_EXTENDED_CTRL object in the GET_DATA function. But it seems that there is no corresponding way to do for search forms. Any other idea?

    Hello Venkatesh. Yes that code does work. First I tried it on a table cell that was already rendered and it did work. The next time I tried it on a table row that was being added and it did not work there. So I added an on after rendering function for the table and added that code there. That did not work until I added a delay (timeout) to do a context switch before calling the focus and that worked.
    Once last thing though sometimes when I call focus on an input field (actually in a table row cell) if the field has text in it already the flashing cursor is at the beginning of the text and other times it is at the end of the text (which is the desired way). It depends on where I click in the row. Is there anyway to make sure the flashing cursor is at the end of the text when the focus is applied to a field that contains text?

    1. He is not telling the time of data flow from Oracle server so that based on that we can schedule the adapter in the Communication Channel monitoring (Availablitiy Time Planning) or Else we can Schedule by deciding the setting of the polling interval time.
    2. He is telling that When ever he waants to send the data he will place one dummy file in the File Adapter FTP location so that it will became an Indication for u to poll the jdbc adapter and to transfer the data to R3.
    3. Untill he keeps the file or gives indication he doesn;t want to communicate with Oracle server due to some security and it s a most important data base he doesn't want to disturb that Oracle Server as so many business are running  on that.....
    We Proposed::
    1. Atleast you need to tell the scheduling time or poll interval time so that we can schedule our adapter.
    but he s not accepting for this
    2. Atleast U need to give access for Data base to enter one more extra field like STATUS CODE so that we will add one number and we keep on Update in the Update table and based on that Update table statement it will poll.
    but he s not even accepting for this
    3. Finally we prposed that to create another table in the Oracle SYstem as Dulplicate Table which is similar to Standard Orginal table when ever he wants to pick the data please keep that data in this Duplicate TABle so that JDBC adapter will pick the data from thsi TABLE instead of picking the data from that standard table so that it will not effect any standard table data in the table.
    but he s not even accepting for this
    We have done some R & D:::
    1. WE approached even through BPM and via switch conditions is one scenario
       FILE RECEIVE >SWITCH CONDITION> RECEIVE AND SEND or else EXIT
    2. Using correlation in anotehr scenario means correlating File adapter and JDBC and based on one dynamica value it will goes to SEND STEP ( RECE IVE --> RECEIVE --> SEND STEPS )
    Even though we know this...concept that...we jsut tried::
    In BPM we can control the flow in XI 3.0 but we cannot Stop the Polling of JDBC adapter at backend because one the data comes from FILE adapter it will keep on HOLD untill it receives the JDBC from Oracle then based on the condition or Correlation it will goes futher SEND step means after that file adapter is picking file or not ...what ever it may be JDBC will polls at backend and brings that data to BPM"
    Hence sugest me How to Stop Polling of JDBC Adapter without Scheduling the adapter or else using STATUS CODE Update statements in JDBC Tables

    Finally I decided to do the scenario in two steps:
    1: FILE REQ --> JDBC REQ -->JDBC RES --> FILE RECV
    2: FILE RECV --> RFC
    But I am getting issue while doing first scenario
    Desgn :
    I have created 2 Synchronous interfaces :
    1) FILE 2 JDBC REQ
    In this a) out put message is FILE  Req
              b) Input msage:; FILE RES
    2} JDBC2FILE RECV
            a) Output mesage;; JDBC REQ
            b) Input Msge :: JDBC Response
    Mappings:
    1) File REQ-->JDBC REQ
    2) JDBC RES-->FILE RES
    Interface mappings:
    1: FILE 2 JDBC REQ--> JDBC 2 FLE RECV
    CONFIGURATION ::
    1: One Seder File CC
    2: Two reciever CC's one is for JDBC RECEIVER and other s FILE RECEIVER
    3; One Sender Agreement
    4: 2 Recver agreements
    5: One Interface Determination and
    6: One RECCV Determination
    My Question;;
    1. First let confirm whether my development steps are right or not ?
    2: Another thing s I am not sure reg Configuration Steps means
    whetehr one interface determination and one Receiver Determinations are required or not as these are synchronous Interfaces
    3: main Issue is::::
    If my scenario s FILE2RFC2FILE then I will get RFC response automatically but here issue is this is JDBC
    My reqquirement is By sending one Field from fILE to JDBC REQ it needs to send entire TAbLE records as a Response to file as XML
    without having Sender JDBC how can I send the JDBC Res to FILE and If that is the case then again JDBC adapter is polling which is contradict to the client requuirement which i explained above.
    pleas suggest me the Detailed steps mainly Colloboration agreements and logical routings and
    also explain in detail if i can  go for BPM
    Also give cleear blogs but before giving make sure that it contains detailed screen shots because aIready gone thorugh
