SAP has made a lot of the transport functionality in GRC10. I find that they hereby created a huge expectation with the customer, that in fact is not true.
For instance Exclusion Objects and Mitigation Controls are NOT transported. What about Organizations? Critical Roles and Profiles are also not transportable.
As for the Connectors - system specific parameters are transported. Therefore you end up having to delete the DEV and QA connectors in the PRD GRC system.
On this question, has anyone used CLM yet? It seems that only Functions and Risks will be extracted to CLM and then deployed in the other system (DEV to QA for example). Does CLM even work?
SAP provide not guidance on all of these important issues. I agree that it is about time that SAP takes some leadership and produce a proper best practise guide for this software. By the way, an offical sizing document from SAP is still to be delivered.

Interwoven Teamsite. Comparing these items is like comparing apples and
oranges.
Normally in Teamsite, during the document capture process, a Teamsite

categorizes documents by specifying the documents' metadata attributes

Teamsite templates. Once the documents are captured, the Interwoven
OpenDeploy
workflow mechanism is used to publish the content to the WLCS database.
Unlike Interwoven Teamsite, Documentum products manage the metadata and
documents in their own repositories. Thus, with this integration, WLCS
queries
the Documentum system at runtime via a specialized JDBC driver supplied
by
Documentum. Once the Documentum user captures a document and tags it
with
metadata attributes, the document may be immediately available to WLCS
(depending on administrative options in Documentum, such as whether

Is there a procedure to test whether AIA got integrated with BRM system successfully.How can i test whether BRM Adapter is able to connect to BRM system.

I hope you are using AIA 2.0/2.0.1 for Comms and trying to integrate BRM with Siebel.
1. To check BRM & Siebel integration using AIA. (BRM is the Product master gets synched with Siebel.)
a) Create a new Product in BRM pricing center(Provide product name, Service type)
b) Select Event(Single time purchase event)
c) Provide rating for the product
d) Commit after product creation(Check in BPEL process, whether all the instances are went through successfully)
e) Check Siebel Catalog, whether product got synched from BRM
2. To check whether BRM Adapter connected to BRM,
a) Login into Oracle Application server
b) Select OC4J instance, where your AIA is running
c) Select Applications
d) In view drop down select "StandAlone Resource Adapters"
e) Check the status (green or red) in the installed BRM adapter
If you haven't deployed BRM Adapter read the installation guide to deploy it.

MDM Integration with ERP system
Hello MDM Guru's.
In our system Landscape, use Baan ERP system to fetch data into MDM, cleanse it and push data to SRM/BI system for Business Requirements.
Our MDM is neither connected to any R/3 (ECC) system. we want to have a kind of Reports developed for MDM Data present in our system based on Companies (our Manufacturing sites) and have a automatic mapping of our Manufacturers , Suppliers & Customers based on Global and local Stratergy.
According to my understanding, we can use MDM API's (ABAP or Java). As MDM is not integrated with any of the ERP (ECC or Netweaver Data base)?
We have options to integrate MDM with ECC 6.0 & Netweaver system. Which could be a better option to connect with? we are planning to integrate MDM with E-Portal too, could Portal data base be used.
Please guide me.

If you want to use MDM in you landscape and store and cleanse data in it and then sent the cleansed data to a reporting tool for analysis then you can do it in one of the methods:
- Either connect MDM to the other systems in your landscape using XI as the means of data trnasfer
- Or connect MDM to other systems using the API.
In the first method.you need to use PI/XI to manage the flow of master data to and from your MDM system to others. MDM can be used for data cleansing and enrichment within MDM before syndicating it out.
In the second method you can connect to MDM through other systems using the API.
As you mentioned about reporting on the master data in MDM based on the Companies or manufacturing sites etc.You can achieve this suing MDM ABAP API.
ABAP can be sued as a reporting tool.wherein it will connect to your MDM system through the configured API and fetch the MDM data and generate simple reports .
If you wish to access the MDM data online you can use portal front end. but in this case portal wont be capable to store any information as it is just a front end.
You will have to use MDM as a backend storage system.JAVA API can be used for futher customization on EP.

Yes, You can create one system object with 3 different "Alias name" so one alias name used on one client ans so on...
In user mapping like
alias name1=Client1
alias name2=Client2
alias name3=Client3

Compliance Calibrator Issue with Backend system
Hi Experts,
We have situation where we are unable to run any risk analysis from CC to our backend system.
The error we are getting is " Can not execute BAPI USERLIST, Invalid value in OPTION field of value table for IN itab operator"
and the RFC ID in R/3 system is getting below dump
" The current ABAP/4 program attempted to execute an ABAP/4 Open SQL
statement in which the WHERE condition contains an IN itab operator.
The IN itab operator is used with internal tables which
have the following structure:
SIGN(1) OPTION(2) LOW LIKE db_field HIGH LIKE db_field
The OPTION column should contain only one of the following values:
"EQ LE GE CP BT NE LT GT NP NB"
The value "##" is not allowed here."
The functin module is /VIRSA/ZCC_GET_USER_LIST

During upgrade, what method (process) you followed to upgrade VIRSANH ? What is version of VIRSANH , is it 5.3?
Earliar was it VIRSA or VIRSANH installed on your system?

MSS Component not connected with Backend system
Hello All,
In our NW Portal 7.01 system, we have got old Business package of MSS 60.1 & when we are trying to connect to our backend system R/3 4.7, we are able to connect it.
Now we have upgraded portal to EHP1 and then we are trying to do the same, then we are not able to connect to MSS business package, as we are getting TP Host missing error and connection not able to do with R/3 system
Has anyone come across such scenario? please update us asap.Just 1 correction, we are able to work successfully with NW 7.0, but not after upgrade to EHP1.
So need to know, whether anyone is able to work with NW 7.01? -

You need to download the UOMS from Backend using CRM middleware.
DNL_CUST_BASIS3 is the object name.
Pls. check this blog for the procedure to download UOMs, Product categories and Products from backend.

I think the question really is about integrating SAP HR with the third party HR systems as EHSM requires the people data to either be in SAP HR (as mini-masters as a minimum) or the other approach is to have the people represented in SAP as business partners.
However with use of business partners the concept of an organisational structure and use of this for workflow is a challenge.
Thus the best option is to integrate the third party HR systems with SAP HR for EHSM to then utilise. Depending on the HR systems this should be entirely feasible (suggest you talk to SAP HR specialist to valdate).

Ashishyou can place (install) the help files on any machine you want, at least it has a web server on it.
you can then specify the "Server Name" and "Path" in SR13 to this server (e.g. Server Name = mywebserver.mycompany.com:1080, Path = helpdata)
the clients open the associated program to the extension of the files (in case of .chm and .html it would be most likely the Internet Explorer)

Best practice to develop internet app integrating with backend R/3 modules
While we wait to upgrade from R/3 4.6c, going forward we want to stop investing in ITS Flow Logic applications.
What is the best practice around using backend RFCs/BAPIs to expose SAP functionality as a web application that is accessible on the internet? One thought looks like using WAS 6.4 - utilizing JRA to call RFCs and using JSP/Servlet; another is to use Webdynpro based development. I do have the same situation as you and also some of the guys mentioned above as well. I have Portal only users and also users who uses the SAP GUI.
Thus, what I would advise, taking into consideration of audit as well, is to have the below scenerios:
1) Users who login to backend with SAP GUI on Citrix only
We have changed the system parameter: login/password_change_for_SSO=2
The password change dialog box appears and the password must be changed (input: old and new password). Also we have setup SNC (CyberSafe) so that in our SAP GUI, users can click on the system with SNC setup and login to backend without having to enter userID and password
2) Users who login to backend with SAP GUI on client (local)
Users will login with userID and password
3) Portal user with SSO and no login to backend vwith SAP GUI
Portal users will have their password deactivated.
Explaination to Audit for Portal users:
We have 90days password reset on Windows (AD). So our Portal users are respecting the audit request of having 90days password reset, but instead of having it in SAP, its in our Windows. Furthermore, SSO is setup as such that the coinnection for these Portal users to the backend is secure.
We are not able to set login/password_change_for_SSO=3 as we have sites which does not use Citrix. Thus, these sites will have local SAP GUI install.
Hope that can share some experience of mine to those who are also in my past situation.

the connection was working fine and every things looks to be ok untill we upgraded our system to EHP7.
Now we are getting the error as INTERFACE_REGISTRATION_ERROR.
Any idea why it would happen?
We have checked following
1) All the RFC's of type H and T are correct
2) Tcode SPROXY is cheched and all implementing class are standard and correct
After a lot of debussing I could find that the method GET_URL_OF_IS of class CL_XMS_PLSRV_IE_ADAPTER is missing in the implementing class LCL_UTIL, and I also observed that this is one of the important method for connecting to multiple PI systems.
Any idea if how to resolve this?
