Reg:Insp point Confirmation

Hi Masters
    I created a production order for a material X123 with activation of 03 Inspection type in the material master.A 03 inspection lot is created.I maintained 100-freely defined insp point in the routing of this material.
        After recording the results in QE11 and i did insp point confirmation in the same T - code.
      In Goods movements for confirmation 101 movt type postings have been completed but not the backflush(261 mvt type) diidnot occur
How to resolve this? Am i missing anything?

Check the following points...
1.Have you maintained Production version.(check TICK indicator "Rep Mfg Allowed" in Production version)
1.1 have you maintained routing and BOM in production version.
2.have you maintained confirmation key(Milestone confirmation key) in task list/raouting
3.have you carried out cost collection ( kkf6n)

Cancellation of Inspection point confirmation of quantities

Hi Experts,
How to cancel the inspection point confirmation quantities done via Result Recording ?
When Co13 is used it throws out error saying the confirmation was done in another application.
The requirement is to cancel the confirmation so that the previous confirmations can be cancelled.
Any suggestions ?

Solved the problem.
One more query,
Currently the confirmation can be done by CO11N for QC operation once the result has been recorded (either reject or accept)
The system is not stopping production from not entering (via co11n) the confirmation even though the valuation of the insp point is a reject . Is this a standard behavior ?
Is there a way to confirm the QC operation via Result recording only ?

Reporting point confirmation

Dear PP Gurus,
We are using REM , The scherio is I have a finished product A for which there are 3 operations 10, 20 ,30 is required . In REM
using reporting point confirmation , I am confirming at each operation , for example the yield quantity is 5 for first operation . When it comes to operaion second lets say the yield quantity is 3 . and remaining 2 is rejected .
In system how can we track that 1 quantity is rejected againist that second operation.

No Sampling Procedures in In-Process Quality Inspection (origin 03, insp. points 100)

I am facing a problem while attaching master inspection characteristics etc. in a master recipe (C202). I first specify inspection points as 100 in the recipe header (quality data section) and then I go to the operations section, select a phase and go into the area where I can attach MICs, methods and procedures. Now, no matter what kind of MICs I add there ( ones that require a sampling procedure, of course, as it is my need) it does not let me browse (F4) on the mandatory sampling procedure field. I have created all kinds of sampling procedures (freely defined inspection points, without inspection points, manual valuation, spc, fixed, 100% - all combinations) but the mandatory sampling procedure field does not let me browse for sampling procedures. If I directly type a name, it says that the procedure is not suitable for inspection points (100 that I defined) despite the sampling procedure being a freely defined inspection points one or any other. This is only in the case of inspection points/in-process/master recipe. otherwise normal GR usage 5 plans are working fine. Any help? It's urgent. Thank you!

No, I'm using 100 inspection points, freely defined (both in my master recipe header and sampling procedure)
And yes, the sampling procedure does have the radio button selected for freely defined inspection points, manual valuation and fixed sample.
Like I said above I did get half of it working by making a setting in SPRO in the section that says Inspection for manufacturing order. In the process order section, I selected something related to production order in one of the tabs. That now enables me to assign a sampling procedure to a characteristic (SP with freely defined insp points) but it still doesn't let me browse (F4) for a sampling procedure eventhough there are 3-4 suitable procedures. I directly have to type them and press enter. Cannot F4/browse procedures.

REM Reporting point confirmation- shiftwise

Hi All,
We have a requirement to use REM reporting point backflush for each shift. Presently confirmation is done in a non SAP system and transferred to SAP as Idocs for REM reporting point backflush.We need to configure this to do reporting point backflush shift wise in SAP. There were some suggestion in this forum to use user exit XMRM0001/ FM EXIT_SAPLBARM_001.
Can I know how this user exit can be used to popup for filling shift data? Our technical consultant had explored this user exit but they say it will validate/check header text but they are unable to create popup with this user exit as suggested in thread REM - Shiftwise Confirmation (Oct 1/2007). It will be helpful if some one can give more details from implementation or share the coding which will help us in adopting for our use.

Reg insp lot for material

Dear all,
One material which is sometimes used in plant and sometimes sent to subcontractor as a component , if it is procured from
same vendor and when it is coming to plant for usage we should get insp lot and when it is sent to subcontractor we do logical
GR in the plant and material is directly sent to subcontractor at which we donot want insplot .
here material and vendor are same

Got your point.
Look, when you are physically receiving it, in MIGO receive the material with mvt type 101, normally as you do.
In case the material goes to the subcontractor and you make your GR, make the following:
Receive the material with MIGO with mvt type 103, this will not create FI document yet, the material will be in the blocked stock, after that release it with mvt type 105, this will create the FI doc you need.
Now the problem is the inspection lot, because in the standard system, mvt type 105 creates inspection lot, therefore deactivate QM on mvt types of 105, and that will stop the creation of inspection lots.

REG : Null Pointer Exception for RFC values

I am facing peculiar erro in code.I need to check the null entries in SAP server then it should be replaced by space and if not null then should be replaced by the value in backend.But it is throwing null pointer exception
I am using equalsignore case(null) and trim for space.
I am not getting why its is throwing null pointer exception.Kindly advise

For this you need to go to sproplantmaintenance&cutomer servicesmaintenanceandserviceprocessingservice confirmationcompletion confirmationset screentemplates for completion confirmation
here you create a new profile and the settings as below
choose header data as 3--customer service
screen area 1    1-Times for order operation
screen area 2    3-Goods movement
screen area 3     5-measurement or counter readings
remaining screens as you wish or keep it 0--not filled
and active push buttons check time, goodsmovement and measurement or counter readings.
after doing these settings save your profile and then go to iw42 screen
go to Extras-settings--give your new profile and save afterwards you will get your desired screen.

how to create measuring point and measuring point counter.
what is the difference between these two.
what is measuring point category,
what is measuring point
what is measuring point object
what is measuring position.
can anyone explain me in an easy for better understanding.

Firstly a Measuring point is nothing but, a factor which you measure on an equipment/FL. (Temperature, Vibration etc)
Then, a measuring point is created either on a Functional location or on an Equipment.
IK01 is the T-code for creating it.
If it is for F/L you have to use IFL as measuring point object, when it is an equipment you use IEQ
Generally these two will be in use.
In the IK01 screen if you tick the counter checkbox, the MP becomes a counter.
Example for simple MP is temperature.
And example for a Counter MP is 'Litres of petrol consumed'
In the first case you don't need to add the temperature measurements, whereas in the petrol consumption you may wish to have the cumulative value of readings taken for a period of time.
The measuring position: Example : If you are measuring the temperature of a Motor on the Drive side, you may put 'Drive End' in this field, or similar many applications.
Category would group these MPs.
In case of need you may define in customisation a sep[arate MP category.
Then each time you read a MP through IK11 or other methods a Measuring Document is created.

Reg : change pointer mechanism for triggering the IDOC for delivery note

I am working on a change pointer mechanism for triggering the IDOC for delivery note and will be using this message class DESADV.
So SAP has suggested for assigning the message class DESADV with the function module in MASTERIDOC_CREATE_SMD_DESADV in BD60 transaction code.
So I was looking to create this MASTERIDOC_CREATE_SMD_DESADV function module in SAP and SAP suggesting that we should create this MASTERIDOC_CREATE_SMD_DESADV function module as same as the function module MASTERIDOC_CREATE_SMD_MATMAS.
So do anyone knows that is there any tool has been provided by SAP for creating this function module MASTERIDOC_CREATE_SMD_DESADV in SAP system for triggering the change pointer mechanism for outbound Delivery.

Hi,
When you are change pointer the system itself will take care of sending the changed master data to your partner system and the user will not have any intervention. If you really wanted to have that then you need to use the change pointers to read the master data which is modified in a custom program and then display that on the screen. Once the user selects that master data records then trigger an IDOC for creating the idoc for that master data and also flag that master data record as processed in the SAP BDCPS standard table, so that the same record will not be picked. If you wanted to know how the change pointers piece of code is written go through the program RBDMIDOC and you can understand how the change pointers logic is written.

i want to know in which field we geta entry and how can we identify that a particular confirmation number is cancelled

Hi,
In AFRU table, there is the STZHL field (Confirmation counter of cancelled confirmation)
It's the confirmation counter of the original confirmation which was cancelled by the current confirmation.
For example:
Confirmation    Counter     STZHL
1000                 1                blank
1000                 2                1 --> this means that this is the cancellation entry for the line above.
1000                 3                 blank

Reg insp lot at the time of delivary

Dear all,
To carryout insp at the time of delivary , I have give insp type-12 in material master and in customization assigned insp type to delivary document type,at the time of delivary we are getting error as "status of insp lot no 120000000052 patial lot 00000 does not allow goods issue", although we are doing delivary for total qty we are getting this error, please help me in solving it.

If your assign the Inspection at delivery level means follow the below step.
1. Save the delivery document without PGI. After saving the delivery system create the inspection lot.
2. Clear the Inspection lot (result recording & Usage Decision by using QA32)
3. After complete the UD only system will allow to do the PGI (Go to change mode delivery and do the PGI)
Note: Condition for PGI UD should be accepted. If UD has been rejected cancel delivery.
Revert further clarification.

Reg:Invalid Pointer Exception in CRW

Hi Jonathan,
We are getting Invalid Pointer on large text files and large exact rich text files. I tried both thru Crystal Designer and I was able to get the RTF to export without issue, but I was not able to get the text file to export. I get the following error: crw32.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.
We are having reports (txt and rtf) go down every night for Invalid Pointer or OutofMemory. We are having to manually skip these reports to complete our runs each night and then we manually need to create the report the next day.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Reg; change pointer

hi gurus,
i am facing one issue for outbound. when i am replicating the master data zdebmas. Using zca1o002, idocs are succefuly genarated no issues.
but whan i do changes in master data.,those changes are rplicationg RBDMIDOC, idocs are genarated and changes are stored in BDCP2 . And my probelumm is some segmets are missing when i am replicating the changes.
is there any config issue or anything kinldy help me for to resolve this issue.

- Firsly please review note 328355.
- Some general information on txn BD22 which you may find useful:

Consider executing BD22 each night to alleviate this problem as a fix should the above notes not resolve this issue.
In relation to the size of the BDCP tables and the amount of change pointers generated please review the following information:
It is recommended that these tables be kept as small as is possible by scheduling report RBDCPCLR to run at regular intervals. Please schedule this report to run regularly and you should not encounter this problem again.

As you will see these notes deal both with how best to handle obsolete change pointers in these tables but also how to ensure that your system is configured so that un-necessary change pointers are not generated in the first place. This latter point is of course of great releavance also.
Review these notes carefully together with your online help files. Please ensure that you implement the above notes and recommendations and see then if this problem persists.
