Reg: Mode of the info package

Hi Experts,
As we can run an info pakage in different modes like 'INIT', 'FULL' & 'DELTA' - this mode will be given as input in i_updmode for the extractor function module. But we are unable to get that value. whenever we run, the i_updmode is coming will null value.
is there any other way to get the mode in R/3 FM, when an info package is executed.
Will it store in any DB table?
I need to get this mode value in function module, bcoz based on that i need to implement the delta concept.
Plz help me.

Dump error while creating or double click the info package

Hello experts,
I have actived infocube 0FIAR_C03 in BI content. Ago, The creation infopackage have been deleted in the past , today, I created a infopackage, while I update mode selected u2018initialize delta processu2019, then click save button , the system prompt u2018Deltas already loaded for request REQU_D64R47LDUSZHY9CBIB86WMLFJ init.selection; no 2. initu2019, I canoti save it for my setting. Why is this?
Then I have search cause in SDN, and I have reference OSS Note 852443 to do .
Note 852443 have mention some table: RSSELDONE、RSSDLINIT、RSSDLINITSEL、ROOSPRMSC、ROOSPRMSF.
I have to delete that request of record using se16 in these tables: RSSELDONE、RSSDLINIT、RSSDLINITSEL.
in my BI 7.0 system, ROOSPRMSC、ROOSPRMSF is no any data.
I was no found delta queue in RSA7.
Now . Dump error while creating or double click the info package, how can I change this?
Please let me know the solution.

How to Schedule the info package groups?

To scheudle the info package group is it enough to shcedule at infopackage group level or do I need to schedule each info pcakages?

You can execute at Group level.
Plz find teh steps for creation and sheduling of IP Group,
1. GO to Adminsitrator workbench RSA1 > Infosources
2. Create your infopackage do not select option but select data load
immediately get out of infopackage prior to going to step 3
3. Click on icon show infopackage groups
(icons are update tree, monitor, display node log, search in subtree,
legend, and show infopackage groups)
4. This will create another window. Now you can create your infopackage
groups. Right Click on folder (infopackage group)
enter long description name, go back to your infopackage and pull it
to the infopackage group
(it's a drag and drop to long description name you just created and
remember it will be on the bottom of the list most likely)
5. Click on infopackage group and its time to select which on to run
first and time your going to schedule it.
INFOPACKAGE
a. Execute package should have a check mark without it itwon't run.
b. Start Sequence (depends on which one you want to run
first for my example its) 1
c. Selection exists (is created when you pull youinfopackage to group)
d. Maintain infopackage is a pencil and will take you therefrom hereInfopackage is your name from the infopackage you pulledover
e. Data type (is created when you pull your infopackage togroup)
Check whether contents was updated without errors beforeyou start next request
(I highly recommend you check this because if will stopyour process if a infopackage fails)
f. Delay until the start of the next request (not necessaryto check)
g. Technical name
Schedule
Selection Options: Immediate (now)Date time (preselected time) if youcheck period and period valueshere it can be run eachday or specific dayAfter job
After event At operation mode

Dump Error while Creating the Info Package

Hi,
I have created Customized ODS and used Generic data sources.I have loaded full Upload to ODS. Created Info Packages for Init delta and Delta for delta loading. I have ran Full Upload and while I am trying to run Init, I am getting the error.
While I am trying to open the Info Package, I am getting Dump error message.
Dump error Message :
What happened?
    The current application program detected a situation which really
    should not occur. Therefore, a termination with a short dump was
    triggered on purpose by the key word MESSAGE (type X).
While i am trying to Create New Info Package, the systems gives the Dump on the System
Please help on this issue.

Hi,
Actually, when we want to have delta loads in future, then we can just have one infopackage with init delta infopackage, so that when it runs for the first time, it pulls all the records and from next time onwards it will pull the delta records only.
But as you have done the full load with infopackage, now just create a delta infopackage, no need of init delta infopackage, this is the reason, its giving dump.

Information broadcaster :
      you can precalculate and distribute(thru mail) the query, workbook and webtemplate through online link or html file to the receipents (users).

Infopackage scheduling:
     you can schedule the infopackage daily at your desired time .In the schedule tab ,select the start later in background and in the scheduling option give the date and time and give the period values as daily.

Error while monitoring the Info Package

While monitoring the info package, I'm having the following errors:(The data source is of type standard R3 Datasource).

Hi Yokesh,
Try these to solve your issue,
tRFC Error - status running Yellow for long time (Transact RFC will be enabled in Status tab in RSMO).
Step 1: Goto Details, Status get the IDoc number,and go to BD87 in R/3,place the cursor in the RED IDoc entroes in tRFC
queue thats under outbound processing and click on display the IDOC which is on the menu bar.
Step 2: In the next screen click on Display tRFC calls (will take you to SM58 particular TRFC call)
place the cursor on the particular Transaction ID and go to EDIT in the menu bar --> press 'Execute LUW'
(Display tRFC calls (will take you to SM58 particular TRFC call) ---> select the TrasnID ---> EDIT ---> Execute LUW)
Rather than going to SM58 and executing LUW directly it is safer to go through BD87 giving the IDOC name as it will take you
to the particular TRFC request for that Idoc.
OR
Go into the JOB Overview of the Load there you should be able to find the Data Package ID.
(For this in RSMO Screen> Environment> there is a option for Job overview.)
This Data Package TID is Transaction ID in SM58.
OR
SM58 > Give * / user name or background (Aleremote) user name and execute.It will show you all the pending TRFC with
Transaction ID.
In the Status Text column you can see two status
Transation Recorded and Transaction Executing
Don't disturb, if the status is second one Transaction Executing. If the status is first one (Transation Recorded) manually
execute the "Execute LUWs"
OR
Directly go to SM58 > Give * / user name or background (Aleremote) user name and execute. It will show TRFCs to be executed
for that user. Find the particular TRFC (SM37 > Req name > TID from data packet with sysfail).select the TrasnID (SM58) --->
EDIT ---> Execute LUW
OR
In RSMO, select the particular load you want to monitor.
In the menu bar, Environment >>> Transact. RFC >>> Select whichever is required, BW or Source System.
In the next screen you can select the Execute button and the IDOCS will be displayed.

Data deletion routine in the info package

Hi All,
I am writting an data deletion routine in the info package.
it is working fine...
but when we are transporting the info package, that routine is not getting transported.
we have tried sending ths info package through a transport connection.
but still it is not taking the routine to next system.
please let me know if any one has a solution for this.

Hi Mughda,
Collect the infopackage using transport connection, While collecting the infopackage make sure that Routines are also collected in the same request.
Else most of systems will have authorizations to create infopackages, so try to create one IP and use the routine in IP.

How to identify the info package deleted by someone in process chain?

Can you is there any transport available with the Infopackage deletion activity?
in SE01 you can check in production system and check if your IPAK is stored in it or not..? IF yes then you can check the user.
Also you can track is there any deletion transport has come from D to P or Q to P? Can you check whether the IPAK is available in D and Q?
Also you can check the process chain recent modified by in RSPC and check if there is any user details were captured?
OR you can also look at in transaction SLG1. Check for the logs..

Running the info package twice in bw 3.5?

Hi all,
There is a process chain existing to load
ods 1 to ods 2 for a particular region on a different time sone
I need to load the same ods 1 to ods 2 for another region in a indian time zone.
When i look at the new procees chain i am getting
infopackage -> ods activation -> further processing -> infopackage -> ods activation - fruther processing!!.
But the existing process chain looks like
infopackage -> ods activation -> info package -> ods activation!!
which has to be the same for the new process chain too.
When i run the new process chain
infopackage -> ods activation -> further processing -> infopackage -> ods activation - fruther processing!!.
It is causing the issues it doesn gets executed after further processing!!

I think there is still some build problem.
In you existing process , infopackage -> ods activation -> further processing -> infopackage -> ods activation - fruther processing!!,
Just remove 3rd and 6th step. After removing these 2, you have to link as below:
start -
> infopackage 1-> ods activation for ods1 -> infopackage2 -> ods activation2 . Please also check the variants for each existing process to make sure you have added correct IP and ODS for all the processes.

0HR_PT_3 Load is taking too much time when i execute the Info package

Dear All,
i am working on HR Module.
i am extracting data from 0HR_PT_3 from R/3 PRD system through info package its taking long time to load data.
I have checked in RSA3 in R/3 PRD system whenever i extract "0HR_PT_3" instead of showing records its showing this error message "Infotype 2002 not read due to lack of authorization" .
could you please let me know any one have resolve this issue.

is there any way we can find the list of infopackages that have data selection enabled only on time? ( say calendar day )
if not, is there anyway to find the list of infopackages which has data selection?

Hi Ravi,
what do you mean exactly?
if you are in SE16 or SE11 in the selection screen, you can enable these fields for the selection via menu Setting / fields for selection; then mark FIELDNAME and IOBJNM.
then enter OBJVERS = 'A'
and e.g. IOBJNM = 0CALDAY
or double click in the input box of IOBJNM and select "not equal to" and leave the input box empty in order to see all IPack with a selection on any IObj.

Info-package change mode

hi guys,
we trasfered all the infopackes FROM DEV TO QA Environment
when i try to creaate an info package in QA client it was in display mode.
as i know the reason that client doesn't allow any changes in QA cleint.
is there any other way where i can create the info packages in QA without chaging the Client setting.
we dont want to transfer all the time from DEV to QA.
just i need a solution to create info packages in QA without distubing client setting.

hi naga,
usually, we do not send the infopack from dev to quality systems. They are created in quality system itself as and when needed according to requirement.
To make that setting, go to Q system,
RSA1 --> "Goto" menu --> Transport Connection.
in the transport connection screen, there is a button in upper right section, "Object Changeability".
clicking this button will provide you list of type of objects that are allowed to change/no change. So you can set infopackges as changeable objects.

IN BW 7.0 do we need to run every time the Info Package before DTP process to load the data into target or only one time we need to run the Info package then from that point onwards we need to run DTP process, Please let me know. basically I am planning to create the process chains so I should put Info package before DTP to load the deltas or full load??

Hi,
When you are loading from source system i.e. datasource to target, you will always have to use an infopackage to load to PSA and a subsequent DTP.
When loading for instance from DS to Cube, you only need to schedule a DTP.

Issue withe Info Package Selection for the CRM Datasource

Hello,
I have a custom CRM data-source which has the Selection option as CRM-GUID as the Selection option in the RSA3.
I have replicated the Same Data-source in BI system and Created the Info Package ,but i could not see that GUID Selection in the Info Package.
To Be Noted:
I went to RSA6 enabled the selection option( check Box ) , there is no hide option in the datasource , only the Selection option check box is enabled in the RSA6 .
Replicated again , and activated again , logged out and logged in again . But the Info Package does not show the CRM - GUID selection option.
I found something not sure this might be the issue:
1) The Data type is RAW with length 16.
2) The Datasource in the BI side has SS conversion Routine Blank for this field and the Selection has X.
But no Selection option in the Info Package.
Any suggestion and inputs are welcome.
