I know latest patch for OBIEE is 11.1.1.6.9
Would you please let me know patch numbers for
11.1.1.6.9 for Linux-64 bit
Note:Not for Windows its for Linux 64-bit and
explain me on how to apply patch in detail on linux environment.

Uninstall an OBIEE patch

Dear All,
We have migrated from the OBIEE 10.1.3.2 to 10.1.3.4 by applying a patch. Unfortunately we are encountering numerous critical bugs.
I would like to know how can we unpatch/uninstall the patch and get back to the v10.1.3.2.
I am not familar with this area, all precise idea would be appreciate are welcome. What is a war file ?

Normally, it must be written in the installation instruction.
Of you can go back from a backup.
Of you can simply try to install the last version of OBIEE and transfer the configuration files and the metadata (ie the webcatalog and repository).
You can also ask a little support on the Oracle Support Website : http://support.oracle.com
A war file means Web application ARchive (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WAR_%28Sun_file_format%29). It's an archive file that you use frequently when you want to deploy an application in an java application server.

Please help me as i am unable to download OBIEE patches from oracle site
16080520 - Patch 11.1.1.6.8 (3 of 7) Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (Patch) 1.6GB in size
16094211 - Patch 11.1.1.6.8 (5 of 7) Enterprise Performance Management Components Installed from BI Installer 11.1.1.6.x (Patch) 1GB in size. Getting the below error message
" Unable to save the file. Contact server administrator"

Could someone shed some light on the reason that so many of the OBIEE patches found on support.oracle.com are password protected? Is it because they're not yet fully tested?

Also, is there an e-mail list or some other method by which we can receive notification of recently released, publicly available (i.e. not password protected) patches?

I installed oracle client 10.2.0.1.0 and i need to upgrade into 10.2.0.3.0 and I got downloaded (5337014)10.2.0.3 10g r2 patch , How do i install patch in client machine?, Without apply patch in the database server(10.2.0.1.0) is it possible?

Hi
I have a question
regarding the data
I have a string which has 49 characters in the db
but when we run a report the same string is showing like 48 characters
actually there was double space in db but its showing like one space in obiee report.
Do you know how obiee handles these situations?

Can you confirm the same using Length function? If I'm not wrong it suppose to be as in db.
There wont be any difference for our eyes between a single space or double space in a string in bi report.

REG: OBIEE Load Completion Report

Hi all ,
I need to built OBIEE Load Completion Report using Usage Tracking Subject Area. So for this I imported two tables W_ETL_Def_Run, W_ETL_Step_run into the physical layer(Oracle Analytics Usage-- Usage Tracking). Both these tables are coming from OBISchema.
But other tables are coming from OBIAPP. So I created three connection pools i.e Usage Tracking Connection Pool, Usage Tracking Writer Connection Pool, DAC Connection Pool. For the first two connection pools I gave User as OBIAPP and for the last one I gave OBIschema. I am able to View data when click on the table in physical layer.(Right click and 'View Data' option)
I gave all the joins correctly as per the Requirement.
But when I try to build report using these tables... I am getting this errorr Insufficient privileges at OCI call OCIStmtExecute. [nQSError: 1701
Need Help...

You can check that if the oracle schema users used in the 3 connection pools, have the respective access/grants?
This has to do with the oracle connection user and grants on the tables for the oracle schema, it seems.

Created the TABLE view with CHANNEL_ID,CHANNEL_CLASS_ID in ANSWERS.
Enabled WRITEBACK
with template wb
set the value interaction type=writeback with field size=16.
Any Solutions Please.

OBIEE Patches - Weblogic Upgrade also necessary?

I'm working with 11.1.1.6.2 BP1 and I'm planning to upgrade to 11.1.1.6.5 and also to the next releases when they are published.
What I'm asking me. I never thought about patching WeblogicServer. So I use the version which came out of the box with the 11.1.1.6.0 release.
Am I also intended to upgrade Weblogic from time to time. How do you handle that?

The latest version of obiee11g - domain enhanced with new features and integration part enhancement like ADF
enhanced deployment view, diagnosibility and management etch
if you wish fix bunle weblogic bugs then you proceed weblogic upgrad
weblogic 10.3.6 i had some issues: creatting application strip bug, application role mapping with users part issue etc
