Reg Plan Delivery Date - MRP - Calender Days

Hi
This is what i understood
Plnd dely time - Calendar Days [which means including weekends]
GR Processing & Purchase Processing Days - Working Days
Now, Suppose
Requirement Date is 06-05-2010.
Plnd dely time - 5 days
Gr Processing daye = 0
Purchase Processing Days = 0
When MRP Run and Creates PR with a delivery date 06-05-2010 and PR Release Date = 01.05.2006 [06/05/2010 - 5days]
Which means buyer must convert this PR by 01.05.2006 which is Saturday, which is nonworking day.
There can be a chance that buyer might miss this instances. How do we face these issues
Since Plan delivery date is calendar dates which might push to release dates to weekends, Please suggest

334,
You can alter any of the 3 durations to meet any of your unique business requirements.
Without knowing why the existing durations have been set the way they are, I can't really answer your question.  If it were me, and the client raised this as an issue, I would probably suggest to the client that he increase the Purchasing processing time to 1 day.
What you do, however, is up to you and the business requirements of your client.

  • Planned delivery date

    I have following scenario.
    Vendor Price terms is Exworks.
we have planned delivery time in material Master MRP view as Vendor manufacturing time. We may use Air or Ocean for Transit. I want delivery date in PO based on mode of trnasit.
    Example
for a Material, vendor lead time for Manufacture is 30 days.
transit time for Air is 3 days and 30 days for Ocean
I want exact plannned delivery date in PO after considering the mode of despatch. I have set 30 days in Material master Planned delivery date.
How to get exact planned delivery time in PO to receive material at our ware house based on mode of transit in ECC.
    Thanks
    Madhavan

    Hi Jurgen
I am exatly looking for the same. Is there any way we can proivide transit dates based on transit mode in ECC and transit mode in PO so that the Planned delivery date in PO is calculated exactly based on mode of transport ? I am looking for something similar to Route determination in SD.

  • Calculating the planned delivery time in calendar days or working days

    Hi,
It seems that there is a way to calculate the planned delivery time in calendar days instead of working days.
When I use the "Planned delivery time calculation" (WPDTC), in Evaluation Options, I got the message :
"Note that follow-on applications are currently interpreting the planned delivery time as calendar days.
If they should be interpreting the planned delivery time as working days, you need to modify these applications. If the planned delivery time should be calculated in working days, there needs to be a factory calendar in Customizing with the calendar ID Country of vendor."
When MRP create a PR -with MDBT, MD03 or MD01- I want my Planned delivery time to be in working days.
I can't manage to make that "If the planned delivery time should be calculated in working days, there needs to be a factory calendar in Customizing with the calendar ID Country of vendor."
    I would appreciate your help.
    Thanks
    PYR

    Hi,
I understand that it makes sense that vendors calendar has to be different (compared to my plant).
But, I still don't understand why in the SAP help, they say "If the planned delivery time should be calculated in working days, there needs to be a factory calendar in Customizing with the calendar ID Country of vendor."
It seems that planned delivery time may follow a calendar.
    Thanks,

  • Planned Delivery Date and Actual Delivery date.

    Hi,
Is there a report in SAP which shows the delivery date of a PO line item and actual GR posting date from PO history in one report?
I need to display the planned delivery date and actual delivery date in one report, preferably in columns next to each other.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
To my knowledge there is no such report. You will have to develop this report through ABAP help. You need to pick the planned delivery date from the PO and GR posting date from material document. Both this fields (EEIND & BUDAT) can be viewed in the PO history.
However, challenge will be when you have multiple delivery dates and receipt posting dates are for part quantities.

  • 10.7 ERP Question on Planned Shipment Date and Planned Delivery Date

    Hi All,
I have a 10.7 ERP question related to Planned shipment date and Planned Delivery Date which are on shipment::released event.
Are these held and displayed at the shipset / shipment level on ERP database
and forms or are they held & displayed at theline level ?
This question is specific to Oracle ERP 10.7
    Thanks,
    SM

I do not believe 10.7 documentation is available online anymore. Release 11 documentation is available at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/A60725_05/r11_doc.htm - the functionality closely resembles 10.7

  • PR Delivery Date MRP Forward/Backword planning

Does system ensures PR Delivery date is always working day ? Please see below examples
    Backward planning:
    Requirement Date: 03/05/2010 [Monday]
Suppose GR Processing time = 0, Planned delivery time = 1 Day, purchase processing time = 0
Now what would be PR Delivery date? by calculation it must be Saturday isn't it [03/052010 - 1 calender day]
    Forward Scheduling
PR is created to day [28/04/2010]
Suppose Purchase processing time = 0, GR Processing time = 0, Planned delivery time = 3 Days
Now What would be PR Delivery date proposed by system? by calculation it must be Saturday isn't it [28/04/2010 + 3 calender days]
    Please Suggest

    Hi,
    Forward Scheduling
PR is created to day 28/04/2010
Suppose Purchase processing time = 0, GR Processing time = 0, Planned delivery time = 3 Days
+Now What would be PR Delivery date proposed by system? by calculation it must be Saturday isn't it 28/04/2010 + 3 calender days+
System will ensure that PR delivery date will always be a working day
In the above case the delivery date will be 03/05/2010- monday, since 28/04/2010 + 3 calender days will be a saturday and considering saturday is a holiday , the delivery date will be 03/05/2010- Monday.

  • Issue in determination of planned delivery data in PR.

    Hello,
I have an issue in PR, where planned delivery time is picked wrongly. PR is created through MRP.
In info record, the planned delivery time is 8, in vendor master record planned delivery time is 0, and no contract exists. But when PR is created automatically through MRP, planned delivery time is 10 in PR. How is this possible, from where else does planned delivery time flow?
There are 4 materials in PO, among which 3 materials have pl.del time as 1 and for the fourth the time is 10, because of which when delivery is created for PO using VL10B, 3 materials are planned in one delivery and the fourth material is planned in another. Split in delivery is occurring. Statistical delivery dates are the same for all the four materials.
Please help e regarding this issue.
    Regards,
    Krishna Bharadwaj.

    Hi Krishna,
What is the planned delivery time of the material in the material master?
Also are you assigning the source of supply in the PR and have mentioned the Porg?
    Regards
    Vivek Singh

  • Simoultaneous planned delivery time (MRP)

    Dear Experts,
I would like to set my MRP for material purchases in order that I can have 2 different lead times, depending on the route (air/sea)
For instance, if MRP can supply enough material with 1kg or less, then it should take a shorter lead time for it would be air freight than if the minimum necessary was more than 1 kg. (Actual freight lead times= air 60 days, sea 90 days)
    Best regards
    Marco Aramini

    Hello Marco
It is possible to have different lead times for different vendors on MRP.
On the customizing transaction OPPQ, choose the option "external procurement" and make sure that the flag "scheduling: info rec agreement" is set.
With this setting, the planned delivery time is read from the info record or from the scheduling agreement.
After that, you should create a quota arrangement for both vendors (see note 1508647 for details).
On the quota arrangement, you can use the minimum and maximum size to define that the source will only be selected if the lot size is higher than 1KG or smaller than 1 kg.
If have a more complex logic to select the vendor, you can use BAdI MD_MODIFY_SOURCE.

  • Best Buy moved delivery date by 20 days only 18 hours before originally scheduled delivery

I purchased a Samsung gas range/convection oven on December 3, 2014.  Delivery was scheduled for December 30, 2014.  On December 29th, at 12:05 p.m. CST, a mere 18 hours before scheduled delivery, Best Buy emailed me to alert me that the delivery had been unilaterally rescheduled until January 19th.
Unfortunately, do to the late nature of the notice of rescheduling, I had already sold/gotten rid of my old oven.  In response to this issue, I contacted Best Buy customer service and, after speaking with 6 different people of the course of 2.5 hours, was provided the following options: 1) Cancel your order; 2) Wait until the order is filled; or 3) Contact your local stores to check for availability.
When asked if Best Buy would consider providing a partial discount on the oven purchase to cover the potential costs associated with renting an interim stove, the customer service representative told me that she was unable to help me in that regard and to ask my local store.
Has anyone had experience getting a similar situation effectively resolved?  Has anyone ever spoken to a customer service representative with Best Buy that was actually able to resolve an issue?

    Dear rtjamison,
When receiving a scheduled delivery date like this, I can understand your foresight around creating the space for your new oven by getting rid of the old one beforehand, and I respect that. It pains me to hear that this responsible act will now affect you negatively due to the untimely rescheduling of your order. I am very sorry for any inconvenience this has already caused you.
On occasion, orders can be rescheduled because of sudden inventory constraints. Other times, scheduling issues can occur if a store is the one fulfilling the delivery and are absent an available delivery driver due to sickness; although, you would typically be provided with an explanation around this. Without being able to look up your order, I am not sure what the reason was in your case specifically. The options you were provided by the phone agent are all viable choices; however, I would like to work with my support team to see if there are any other options available to us at this time.
As I was unable to pull up your purchase history using your email address you provided here on the forums, I will be reaching out to you via private message to obtain your purchase information so I may investigate further. • Wrong Planned Order dates - MRP Run

    Dear Experts,
Please guide to resolve the following problem:
I have uploaded the PIRs for 3 months. When I take the MRP run, the system is scheduling the planned orders for first 2 months only. For the 3rd month's PIR the planned order are created for the PIR dates only.
For example, if the PIR (for 3rd month) is maintained on 25th of the month. The planned orders for FG & SFGs are being created for 25th only. While for 2 months the Planned orders are properly scheduled.
What could be the reason for such behavior.
The planning horizon is 90 days.
    Regards,
    Rohit.

    Dear Rohit,
If you are running MRP with NETPL, then the Lead time scheduling will be carried out only for the planning harizon.
Try executing MRP you can select NETCH key.
    or
If you want to run MRP with NETPL key, then please give In-house production time in workscheduling view as per the routing values. For example 1 day is the processing time and give the quantity for for 24 hr production. Then the sceduling will be carried out as per this values.
And change the planning harizon for detailed scheduling in OPU5 transaction.
    Thanks and regards
    Murugesan

  • The loading date, transportation date and planned date on the STO are the same as Delivery dates.

    Hi,
We have created a Intra plant STO (plant to plant in the same company code). The planned delivery date is 4 days. So if I create a STO today (27th march), the delivery date is 31st march (excl Saturday and Sunday).
During delivery creation, the loading date, transportation date and planned date are also coming as 31st march. The route determination for the given shipping point and route shows 2 days for transit and 4 hours for pick pack. There is no loading time maintained for the given combination.
Can you please advice why are the dates coming the same as delivery date during delivery creation without considering the duration maintained in route determination ?
    Thanks!!!
    Anuja

    Hi,
This is a standard behavior of SAP in case of Stock Transfer PO.
If you want that the delivery date of receiving plant be transferred to supplying plant, please use BADI MD_STOCK_TRANSFER.
    Hope this helps.

  • Urgent ***  Is No. of Planned delivery days depends on FACTORY CALENDER DAY

    Hi ,
I question for all .  Is No. of Planned delivery days calculated on <b>FACTORY CALENDER DAY or  normal difference between PO delivery and GR date .</b>
Please let me know ,its urgent.
    Regards ,

    Hi,
Planned delivery period is CALENDAR days NOT Work days.
It does not use the factory calendar and you should not even TRY to make it do so.

  • MRP creating delivery date on PO´s by vendor

    Good morning folks,
I´d like to share my scenario and see if you have something similar.
Currently we have a planning cicle set on MRP1 one view to restrict PO delivery date on fridays, due our receiving process we cannot receive materials on friday, so our planning cicle is set from monday to thursday, and works fine.
Now our supply chain area intents to have the following, the chemical vendors deliver only mondays, steel vendors on tuesdays and so on.
I was looking into Vendor master and we don´t have a specific field to place a planning cycle or planning calendar by vendor, my first guess is that this is a very commom business scenario. I know I can accomplish that just starting to use Scheduling Agreements and setting up receiving dates on monday, but it will bring a huge manual activities..
Does anyone has the same requirement ? how to make sap to set delivery date on fixed days by vendor or group of vendor as explained above?
    thanks
    Carlos Q.M.

    good afternoon Carlos,
If I understood correctly, what you need is to setup MRP to force the delivery date in the purchasing documents exactly as you have in the planning calendar (tcode MD25), lets say, you want to receive goods only on tuesdays, then create your calendar with day in the week you want to receive products.
technically speaking ok, create planning calendar that will be added in the MRP1 and MRP2 views, with the day you want to have the delivery date on Purchase docs.
then at tcode OMI4, you must have one Lot size with field  "Lot-size indicator" with   "K" - Period lot size as in PPC planning calend., and field "Date Interpretation"  equals to  "1" - Delivery date.
Assign that to your MRP1 view and make sure your MRP2 has also the same key in the field Planning calendar, under Schedulingtab.
Run the MRP, you will get what you need.
Now, you must check the impacts on your current MRP and inventory process, because you may have over delivery for one week in case of holiday or shortage of material depending on the week.
Will this really be efective in terms of costs and inventory management ?
what your production area says about that ?
well, there are many question you must get answer before implement that.
    hope that helps you.
you can find more details on the following posts.
