Reg planning of long lead materials

Dear all,
To make a finished material there are 4 stages below which we have raw materials which are expensive and require 8-10 months lead time to procure and here planning of raw materials is done once in a quarter, how to plan for such long lead time materials ( can we use MRP planning) here we should plan only raw materials and later on all the semifinished materials once we get the customer order
please help me
Thanks in advance
venu

Venu,
Use planning strategy "50" for your finished product, and you can create PIR for the forecast for the Finished Product. Take up MRP run and after MRP run for finished product you would get Planned orders of type "VP" and you would get dependent requirement for Components which can be processed further. Planned orders VP cannot be converted to Production orders, when a sales order is created for this product this planned order quantity would be reduced and new planned equal to the quantity of sales order would be created for execution.

boards. As a leader in test and measurement for industry, you should be examples as to fast lead times and reasonable delivery times. I regret that I will think twice when I quote an NI board for a project again. The long lead time is simply unacceptable!I too have felt the frustration about lead times. As an Alliance Member, I have ordered countless NI products and had lots of tense conversations with clients who are wondering what is holding up the turn-key system I promised them.
What we need to keep in mand is that NI is subject to part shortages just like any other manufacturer. They do their best to get things out on time, and in fact they do much better than others. I've been forced to order lots of Agilent equipment with > 20 WEEK lead times! Not only was there a 20 week lead time quoted when I ordered it, they MISSED the target by 4 weeks! In those cases, Agilent had the only solution and NI products couldn't cover it.
In many cases your DSM and / or ISR can help you locate a loaner to tide you over until yo
u board is shipped. I have had very good experiences in the past with those folks.
Hey, I'm also noticing that the standard lead times are now listed online when browsing the catalog. That should help you plan your project shedules in the future.
Again, for what it's worth, I feel your pain.

  • I am planning a long vacation and taking my laptop but it is my home computer that my new ipad and ipod touch are synced too. I know i can backup to the cloud over wifi but how can i do things like delete photo albums

I am planning a long vacation and taking my laptop but it is my home computer that my new ipad and ipod touch are synced too. I know i can backup to the cloud over wifi but how can i do things like delete photo albums instead of having to manually delete pictures one by one on the Ipad. Is there any way also to add my pictures to the ipad other than through email. i am assuming that i can't just install itunes on the laptop and sync to that. I have been told that i always have to sync to my original synced home computer for that.

  • Long Lead Out Times!!!!! Help

Anyone know how to cut down on writing lead-out times with dvd-studio pro 4
Took about 7 min for a 30 sec clip

The reason that the shorter the clip is, the longer the lead out is because of what I posted earlier. The dvd spec requires a gig minimum of data/content. Not all burners/burning applications will hold true to that spec, so some might not experience the longer lead out times (which is the burning application adding dummy padding data to fill the gig up). If you are using media, then that type is 'approved' by the dvd consortium; and typically is the type of media that will result in the long lead out times (complying to spec). Depending on the speed of the media and burner, 7 minutes would be about right for 1 gig (since the 30 sec clip wouldn't take up much by itself).
If you use media (not 'officially approved by the dvd forum), then it's basically looked at as a data disc, and generally don't end up having the padding data added on; and hence they burn quicker.

  • GL Planning for Non Leading Ledger.

    Hi All,
Kindly note that currently I am using GL Planning for Leading Ledger "0L" and it works fine for
    GP12N, GLPLUP & GP12NA.
I want to explore the possiblility of uploading plan for a non leading ledger(CL) as we have balancesheet report where we can have view for both i.e leading ledger and non leading ledger and their respective plan.Currently I can only see plan for leading ledger only as there is no plan against non leading ledger( CL).
Please let me know as to how can this be done fi its possible? or the alternative.
    Regards
    Pranay

    Hi,
you can do it for leading ledger by first deciding the layout and fields you want in it.Then goto SPRO and create your layout.Once your layout is saved then create the planner profile as per your requirement. If you want to upload the data through excel then don't forget to have "Excel integrated" tick activated.
then go to last option"default parameters" enter the values and execute. this will generate a sytem file click on ok. this will take you to a screen where you will have the  buttons
    1) gnereric file name; enter file name as upload *.txt. so will have to upload the file everytime with this name as upload1,upload2......etc.
    2) file description : save the file description as it is mandatory when you upload through t code GLPLUP.
this settings will help you upload GL planning
    View : GP12N
    upload GLPLUP
    view changes: GP12NA

  • Advance Procurement /Long Lead item

    Hi Experts,
We have some long delivery items in BOM for which we are trying advance procurement. We have maintained strategy 70, item category'L' in material master and attached the material to an activity which is 2 months prior to the scheduled production. We generated PR for this item and created PO however during the Project MRP run, system is generating PR again for this item. Please inform which are all the settings required to prevent the PR getting generated again during project MRP.
Any help on this issue is highly appreciated.
    Points assured.
    Best Regards
    Afroz Ahmed

    Hi Afroz,
Please maintain individual collective indicator in material master MRP-4 view of the long lead time material to
"2-collective. So that the system will consume the existing stock.
    Thanks and regards

  • SuperDrive: Long Lead-Out Times

I've recently created an iDVD project for my graduation and I've been burning a lot of copies to hand out to friends and family. When I used iDVD to burn my first copy, the DVD burned relatively quickly, but when it got to the Lead-Out step it took a very long time. I initially shrugged it off thinking it was just something weird with iDVD.
I then made an image of the DVD so it would be easier to duplicate and I've been using the Universal version of Toast to burn. That is suffering from the same issue of a very long Lead-Out time. The DVD burns in about two minutes with the Lead-Out taking about 6-10 minutes. That just sounds ridiculous since the Lead-Out is taking ~4x longer than the actual burning.
Is this normal across all MacBooks? I don't think my PC DVD burner ever took this long to do a Lead-Out. It's just kind of annoying since I'm trying to make a ton of copies and the Lead-Out is really slowing me down.
If it matters my SuperDrive is a MATSHITA UJ-857.

Yes, anything outside of 60 seconds wuld be considered a bit too long. Have you tried resetting PRAM?

  • Long term planning in ECC for materials planned in SAP APO

Hi SAP PP and APO Experts,
I would like to know whether it is possible to plan a material in SAP ECC with Long Term Planning to create Simulative Planned Orders in ECC, when the MRP Type for the material is set to X0 (Planning in SAP APO).
    Warm regards,
    Prem

    Hi Dhaivakumar,
    Appreciate your prompt response.
My business is MTS. I have made all settings for LTP planning for the material. (M|RP Type is set to X0-Planning in APO). When I execute the transaction MS02, I get the error message "Material 5200000013 J310  is not planned automatically. Message no. 61008". The details of the error message is:
The material 5200000013 in plant J310 or in MRP area  is not included in automatic MRP because
either the MRP data for plant J310 or MRP area  has not been created
or an MRP type has been entered for the material in plant J310 or MRP area  that does not allow automatic MRP.
    Warm regards,
    Prem

  • Does unlimited data plan no longer exist after upgrade?

My GF and I both have had unlimited data for a couple of years now. She recently upgraded her phone when she became eligible. Apparently, she can no longer be on the "unlimited" plan and had to choose a data cap plan. Will this also happen to me? Is the unlimited data plan just no longer available once I upgrade my phone in January? Anyone know? Thanks in advance. (incidentally, I'm still on the unlimited plan right now)

I also got that message sometime in the last month (don't remember when). I tried again on a different day and it worked normally.

  • Repetitive Manufacturing planned order long text

In our scenario, we will use the repetitive manufacturing process with planned order.   However, the users would like to attach the long text for each planned order.
Is there any use exit or BADI to support this?
    Regards,

    Hi ,
i think there is no user exit or BADI which can work in your case.
When we required similar functioanolity we landd up in desigining entirely new Z tocde which would accept the long text ofr the plan orders and save it.
we created coplue of ztables to store the plaf link.

  • MD04 - Planning time fence for materials that are planned externally

    Hi,
I have to develop a report in R/3 which will pick up values from MD04 (for a particular material/plant combination) and show the output in ALV grid of materials which are not planned in R/3 but APO.
It should also show the planning time fence.
For example, if i goto MD04 in R/3 and enter a material-plant combination which has MRP type X0 (external planning), it doesnt show me the planning time fence.
This value/row has to be picked up from APO.
Any idea how to go about it and what are the Function Modules I should use or is there any alternative for this ?
    Regards,
    Anand.

    Hello Anand,
Try looking at user exit in MD04 that can change the values in MD04. Then, check for material-plant type of the order. If it is X0, call RFC to APO function module to read the information you want.
I have develop before a report in R/3 that read the correct time of an order in APO to be displayed in R/3.

  • Workflow for Notify Planning When Reservations For Materials

    Hi,
Did any one worked on below Workflow Scenrios.
We need to Notify via Email to Planning team When Reservations For Materials On An Operation Have Been Filled And All Non-Stock Components Have Been Received. This request extends the current functionality where when all non-stock components on an operation have been received the operation status is changed to PR (parts received) and an email is sent to the requisitioner (the person who added the non-stock component to the work order).
    Appreciate anyhelp on this
    Regards
    Manish

    Hi Manish,
it will be great if you could give some more details like transaction you are using.
what is understood is, you want to send a mail when the status is changed to PR.
if this is the scenrio, you can use Status Management.
Please confirm so that i could give you more details.

  • Procurement of Long lead item for Projects

    Hi Gurus,
I have a scenario where the main item required to execute the Project has a lead time of more than one year. The project is executed in 4-5 months period hence it is decided only at the start of the fiscal year. In such cases, the project will be created only after the fiscal year starts or just before that and the budget will be allocated only after the fiscal year started whereas the PO for material has to take place long before so that the item is received on time to execute the project. How to handle such cases ?
    Thanks
    Vinodh.

    Hi,
What will happen if I maintain the "No Stock" indicator and raise PRs through activities ?
    thanks in advance.

  • How to take planning run for selected materials?

We have some 50 materials for which only i want to take planning run.I try to use MRP area but it it creating problem at the time of delivery of materials. Please suggeset solution.

    Hey,
you can resolve this issue by creating a separate MRP controller for these materials and configure the user exit key for this MRP controller at MD01. (just press F4 at user exit key and select the maintain values option) such that materials for only these MRP controller are planned.
This however, has a drawback, ONLY materials whose MRP controller is selected would be planned:
    Eg;
if Parent material A has two child materials in it Y and Z.
if you assign A the MRP controller 001 <~~ and
Y and Z have some other MRP controller, the dependent requirements generated from A would not be planned on Y & Z,
So, if you want the planning to take place at all BOM levels for these materials you can place the same MRP controller for all materials which you want to plan separately.
    Hope this solves your issue.

  • Trying to take advantage of lower data prices, VZW site says my plan no longer available.

I moved our family plan to the "MORE Everything Unlimited Talk, Text, & 3GB" plan in December 2014. Now I'm trying to take advantage of the new lower data prices. When I visit My Verizon to change it, I see this message:
Your current plan, MORE Everything Unlimited Talk, Text & 3GB, is no longer available. You may be eligible to add International & Global options without changing your plan by clicking on the 'International & Global' tab and submitting only those changes.
If you would like to change your plan, please select from one of the available plan options below. Please note: If you change to a new plan below, you may not be able to go back to your previous plan.
Instead I can choose the "3GB Unlimited Talk & Text" plan. What am I losing through this change? I can't seem to get a clear answer from the VZW site.

As Weth said, the current price/data combos are no longer available, but you CAN take advantage of the NEW price/data combos.  You can keep the dame data package, for less $.  Or you can choose to kee[p your payment the same, but with increased data.  Either way is a better deal, and if the previous plan is no longer available, that's OK.  I got a better deal....
I made the change, kept data the same and will see a $10 reduction in my bill.  You may make a different choice, but for many, the move will be positive.
