  • Report Painter for all module

    Hi,
    Is report painter can be use by MM,PP,SD module ?
    in ECC6, we can use report painter for module FI, how about module MM,SD and PP ?
    if it can use for those module too, how is the step?

    Hello Callia Raissa,
    Yes report writer can be used in logistics also. One of the way which I am aware of is described below.
    Flexible analyses allow you to can tailor the way in which key figures are combined and aggregated. This means that it is possible to both provide administrators with detailed information and management with aggregated information.
    Flexible analyses enable easy access to the Report Writer, a user-friendly tool with which you can create reports for various analyses. The Report Writer is integrated in other SAP applications, such as Extended General Ledger and Cost Center Accounting.
    Evaluation structures form the interface to the Report Writer. Evaluation structures consist of characteristics and key figures and are easy to construct.An evaluation structure with the same name exists for each information structure in the standard system.Even the self-defined information structures created in Customizing can be evaluated via the flexible analyses.
    Evaluations:You can create an evaluation on the basis of the evaluation structure.
    To define an evaluation, all you need to do is select the characteristics and key figures you require (pick-up technique).One of the especially useful features here is that you have the option of tailoring the layout of your report to suit your particular requirements. You can also define extra key figures for the reports, which are derived from existing key figures by means of calculation formulas. You can thereby multiply the key figures or divide one key figure by another.
    ============================================================
    In addition to the above you can also edit a report in logistics module with the help of a report writer. below mentioned is the process for it.
    It is now possible to edit your report data using the Report Writer. You can also change the layout of the report. The most important functions of the layout design are summarized below.
    Summation levels:In the report screen, you can use the menu sequence View ->Summation level to specify the number of summation used to calculate total values. All totals that do not lie within the specified interval will be hidden. A summation level corresponds to a hierarchical level (for example, material level). Summation level 1 is the lowest hierarchical level. Summation level 2 is the next level up, and so on. The individual values are on the summation level 0.
    The summation levels can be specified both universally (for the entire report) or locally (for specific blocks of rows). In this case, the local settings overwrite global values.
    Report views:If a report is displayed on the screen, the Report Writer will then set page breaks so that exactly one page fits into the current window. This view will be defined as the standard view. As the Report Writer always processes exactly one page, you can only use the page keys and page icons to page up and down; the scroll bars cannot be used.
    The page view can be determined via Settings-> Page view. The page breaks in the page view correspond to those defined in the report layout.
    Hide and show rows:The function Edit->Hide rows exclude certain preselected areas of your report from the display. You can undo this command with Edit ® Show rows.
    Expanding and collapsing report rows:View-> Hierarchy->Collapse allows you to hide the report rows of the sub-trees that are located underneath. View->Hierarchy ->Expand allows you to undo this command level by level.
    If you want to display all the report rows that were hidden by collapsing the hierarchy or restricting the summation levels, select, View->Hierarchy-> Expand all.
    View->Collapse all allows you to reduced every row block to the highest summation level.
    Texts and Annotations:You can create an annotation for your report.
    Select: Extras->Annotation.
    You branch into the text editor of the Report Writer.
    Via the menu sequence Settings->Texts, you can create and format a title page, the last page, as well as headers and footers using word processing functions.
    For example, you can store variables in the header for the author of the report, the date of the selection or the name of the person who last changed the report.
    Layout parameters:Using the menu sequence Settings->Layout you can specify the page format, display form, rows and columns of the report according to your needs and you can determine the settings for the graphics function. You can make these layout settings with Report->Save settings.
    Hope I had been able to help you to some extent. please assign points as reward.

    You are getting the error because you have to specify single or multiple values in Characteristic definition

  • Reg report painter

    Hi experts can anyone help me to find where the report painter is and what is the use of it and pls give the steps for navigation...
    with regards
    Sellavel

    hi,
    The majority of reports end users use in the R/3 System is Report Painter reports. Most of these reports (@ 80+ %) began as Report Writer reports.
    The major difference is Report Painter uses a graphical interface (analogous to Notepad and MS Word).
    Very few R/3 users employ Report Writer – however, many still use, modify and develop reports using Report Painter. Report Painter permits complex groupings and drill-down reporting – very useful for such applications as FI-CO and SD. It can also be used interactively – allowing users to enter variables for specific steps; thereby permitting ‘drill-across' functionality.
    However, Report Painter does have its limitations; it can display only numeric data (excluding column headers) – therefore, short text, etc. is not available. It is much easier (quicker) to modify than ABAP and requires no ABAP expertise – however, many combine Report Painter with ABAP reports to fill-in many of the missing pieces. Layout design is archaic and rudimentary ~ therefore; many use Report Painter to ‘retrieve and massage the data' and eventually export it into Excel for end use.

  • Reg:report painter reports adding into sap menu

    HI all,
    HI all
    How to add reports painter reports in sap menu.?
    regards
    JK Rao

    Hi, Janardhan Rao & all other Readers of SAP Net work site,
        Private nodes
               Private nodes are no longer supported in the area menus and are
               not taken into account during migration. As a replacement, the
               favorites are available in the Easy Access.
        Including of own report trees in the menu structure
               In order to include your own area menus generated from the report
               trees into the displayed menu, you can either include the menus
               as enhancements in the SAP Menu or include them into the menu of
               a role. To do this, read the documentation on Transactions SE43
               and PFCG.
        Client dependency of the report trees
               If you have used different report trees for different clients,
               you can carry out the migration several times in the
               corresponding clients. As a result, you receive several
               cross-client area menus.
        Further information
               Also read the Release information BC_46_REPTREEMIG2. You find
               this information in every system under Help -> Release notes ->
               Complete list from Rel. 4.0 -> Release notes as at 4.6A,
               Component BC-FES-SEM, document "Change to area menus and report
               trees".

    Hi,
    Execute the report and then go to extras in menu and select technical information. Here you will be able to see table, library, report, report and report group relating to report. Go to GR32 and give library and report name and select section to modify the same. Alternative, when you execute the report and select for techinical information, place the curson on report and click navigate and then you can select change and modify the report.
    Hope this helps.

  • Function Modules to Execute Report Painter Report

    Hi Experts,
    May I know if there is any way to execute the GR55 Report Painter reports, and get the report result back as a table?
    I need this to write a program to export the result to a external system.
    Many thanks!!!
    Regards,
    Chris

    I am actually expecting a ABAP way to do so, but not to do that in foreground manually.
    I found the solution anyway by using the below sample code:
    *&      Form  frm_retrieve_data
          text:Get report painter Result
    FORM frm_retrieve_data .
      DATA:lt_params  TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF alv_s_param_wp,
           lwa_params TYPE alv_s_param_wp,
           lwa_msg    LIKE LINE OF gt_msg,
           lv_dcpfm   TYPE xudcpfm.
      CLEAR:gt_data,gt_msg.
    Set report painter Paramters
      lwa_params-pname = '$PARAMETER[$ZRYEAR0'.
      lwa_params-pvalue = sy-datum+0(4).
      APPEND lwa_params TO lt_params .
      lwa_params-pname = '$PARAMETER[$ZBUKRS0'.
      lwa_params-pvalue = 'JNPC'.
      APPEND lwa_params TO lt_params .
      lwa_params-pname = '$PARAMETER[$ZBUKRS1'.
      lwa_params-pvalue = 'JNPC'.
      APPEND lwa_params TO lt_params .
      lwa_params-pname = '$PARAMETER[$ZF-RP00'.
      lwa_params-pvalue = sy-datum+4(2).
      APPEND lwa_params TO lt_params .
      CALL FUNCTION 'CRIF_RW_WEB_CALL_REPORT'
        EXPORTING
          i_report_group = 'JNZ1'
        TABLES
          it_params      = lt_params
          et_data        = gt_data
          et_messages    = gt_msg.
      LOOP AT gt_msg INTO lwa_msg
        WHERE type = 'E' OR type = 'A'.
        gv_flg = cns_yes.
        EXIT.
      ENDLOOP.
      IF gv_flg IS INITIAL AND
         gt_data IS INITIAL.
        gv_flg = cns_nodata.
      ENDIF.
    ENDFORM.                    " frm_retrieve_data

  • Unable to create a report painter form (Message no. KH205).

    Dear all,
    I am trying to create a report painter form, but the system gives an error:
    Key figure scheme  contains errors -> check definition
    Message no. KH205
    Diagnosis
    Entry   not contained in Table T237A.
    Procedure
    Check key figure scheme  (in particular line 9062) in table T237A.
    I checked in Tcode KER1 but did not find any Key figure scheme.
    Afterwards, I checked table T237A and T237 and found out that number of hits in table 237A is less than in T237A.
    I think this is the reason why system has such reaction.
    Please help me with this issue.
    Best regards,
    Linh.

    Edited by: tvlinh on Mar 7, 2012 11:22 AM

    Hi,
    This issue can occur if you have transported the Key Figure Scheme (KFS) from another system and /or deleted value fields. Has this happened ?
    To fix the issue you need to renumber the T237 in the source client executing the function module RKE_FILL_TABLES_T237FF as mentioned in the note 13838.
    After this try to create a new form and check if that works. If there are still problems with the existing form/report then the best
    way might be to delete and create again

  • Table need to be added in report painter library

    HI,
    Can't we add any table in report painter library (GR21) like if i add <b>s032</b> it is accepted by library while <b>'MARD'</b> is not accepted it gives error <b>Table MARD is not installed in Report Writer.</b>
    what is the difference between s032 and MARD table, as both are transparent table. but one is accepted and other is not.
    Thanks

    Hi
    You can't use all tables.see the below lines for it:
    Both Report Painter and Report Writer can be used to report on the following tables and tables types:
    &#61500;     Evaluation structures set up in the Logistics Information System (LIS). These structures normally begin with an “S” or “ZF.” Several different tables and views within the R/3 System can be added as evaluation structures.
            Note: You cannot add cluster tables, such as BSEG.
    &#61500;CCSS is used for Cost Center Accounting (CO-CCA), Internal Orders (CO-OPA), Activity Based Costing (CO-ABC) and for cost element reports in Project Systems (PS).
    &#61500;GLFUNCT is used for functional area reporting in cost-of-sales accounting.
    &#61500;GLPCT and GLPCOP are used for Profit Center Accounting (CO-PCA/EC-PCA).
    &#61500;FILC is used for Legal Consolidations (FI-LC).
    &#61500;COFIT is used for the Controlling Reconciliation Ledger (CO-CEL).
    &#61500;ZZ tables are created for the Special Purpose Ledger (FI-SL).
    &#61500;FIMC is used for consolidations in the Enterprise Controlling module (EC-LC).
    &#61500;GLT0 is used for Financial Accounting (General Ledger) reports by account, company, and business area (FI-GL).
    &#61500;KKBC, KKBE, and KKBU are used for the Controlling Product Costing module (CO-Costing).
