Reg:s Metal sheet cutting process

Dear experts,
I need you expertise ideas on this requirement.
In one of the manufacturing plant,we have one cutting machine, on this cutting machine a metal sheet is cut into different parts. These parts are semifinished parts.
In one sheet I may recieve more than 10 to 15 different part numbers and these are semifinished.And here we dont have a fixed BOM, everytime the number of parts and shapes cut in the sheet varies.i have more than 150 semifinshed part numbers which I recieve from sheet.
How to map this scenario in sap..? Based on the nesting dobe by CNC operating person I cannot create BOM.if I mainrain standard BOM, how to proceed in this kind of scenario.
Any cutom transaction can be developed to achieve this cutting process.

I suggest you to consider the implementation of the Mill Products (DIMP) industry solution.
There is a solution specific for this issue, called "multi item order", where you can have several finished products generated by the same order.

We are using the strategy 40. We need some information on sample sending procedure like preshipment or coshipment and quantity of delivery to the process order PI sheet to identify the production team to keep the sample ready before confirmation or receipt of the process orders.

Hi,
Process Massage will generate only after Completing the PI sheet.So after maintaining the PI sheet you have to press Complete button then only system will generate Process Massage regarding completion of PI sheet.
But if you leave the PI sheet only with Save then it means still there are some entries are left or may be change.So in this case system will not generate process massage.
Now first complete the PI sheet then check in CO54 with correct date , time and plant selection.Send it from here and then check in process order.

Text in PI Sheet and Process Order did not match

Dear Sir,
We are going to upgrade to our system from 4.7 to ECC6.
We have a problem with PI Sheets with the Long text. The text instruction shown in the PI sheet is not matching with the long text put in the Process Order and Master Receipe.
We are using the Process Instruction Category "INST" and we are puting long text for instruction for this in the Master Receipe. At the time for creation of Process Order this Process instruction Category fatch correct value of long text from the Master Receipe after released the Process Order, Control Recipe generated for the same Process Order. But when we are going to process these Control Receipe from the T-Code CO60, We find the some different text for the "INST".
This problem is not for one Material and Plant Specific.

Hello Gaurav,
There might be another possibility, make sure if you make any changes in the Control Recipe Destination program or user exit to populate the long text while sending the CR to the destination to reflect with the PO/Master Recipe.

Numbers 3.5 (Incorrectly?) Activates Sheet When Processing Script

My earlier post was incorrectly marked as answered, so I have re-posted the original question along with a link to the first thread.
Updated Table Name Changes Applescript Operation in Numbers 3.5
I've been using Applescript in Numbers for some time to copy/paste data (set cell values) from one sheet table to another sheet table.
My original script was heavily cribbed from something Yvan Koenig had posted 2-3 years ago.
I recently updated to Yosemite and Numbers 3.5 after testing to ensure my original script remained functional (and it did).
I subsequently updated my source data table by duplicating my old table and editing this new source.
I then updated my Applescript to to reference the new source table.
Testing yielded a good functional result, but Numbers changed its behavior by displaying its work while setting values in the target sheet table.
This obviously slows the script down and adds measurable processing time given the amount of data being moved.
Does anyone know how I can prevent this behavior from occurring?
I don't believe I changed anything material in my original script so I'm really not sure why Numbers changed its behavior.

I don't use Numbers 3 and so this is a general advice. If the on-screen update is the cause of slowdown, you may simply hide the application. Like this.

Reg. Scenerio Sheets are not importing while importing the model.

Hi All ,
Due to some issues , I exported the existing model and then do the isreset before importing the model. I imported the model which i exported. I am unable to see any Scenerio Sheet , planning Sheet in Analysis Workbench which i created earlier. there is no data in Planning workbench .
Do i need to create new Scenerio sheets ? or Is there anyway i can retrive those sheets and Put it back ?
if yes then how, Please guide.

Please let me know your thoughts on following issue :
1) we have already published a model which is having 5 Cubes ,11 dimensions and 100+ measures. Then we add two more cubes which are not related the previous one and we used different Dimension and measures for it. These cubes remain in unpublished state and somehow one of the cube from Earlier published model also came into unpublished state. Why the scenerio sheets which are already created not visible to me after importing this model (Unpublished) to the other instance. I can understand tht untill the model is processed it will not open but it was not visible also in the planner workbench. the planner workbench is completely empty.

Offcut generated in metal sheet shearing operation

Dear PP Gurus,
Pl help me for following issue.
The requirement of my Client is as follows
They are producing sheet metal components from raw sheet material like plate etc in Press shop.
When one component get generated after press shearing operation remaining sheet is called as offcut.
Now customer requirement is,
Offcut, which is generated during sheet metal shearing operation, should be identified separately with its dimensions and it will be shown on system .
So that for better utilization of raw material these offcut can be used to produce another part.
Currently they are producing large variety of components so offcut generation is in large quantity.
We are suggesting them as Offcut are marked as by-product in BOM with u2013ve sign and quantity. At the time of confirmation this offcut quantity has to be posted to respective storage location.
But they want each offcut as a separate identified material with its dimension.
Pl help me for the same.

There is no provision in SAP. You need to handle as a by product only.

Dera Friends,
We are into manufacturing of iron Pellets and we are using process order .
i need to take into account , the following losses in my process order,
1. Moisture loss 2. Handling loss 3. Processing Loss.
I dont want to consider this has scrap. Please let me know to consider this losses in process order.

Reg. Automatic assignment in process orders

Dear All
In our IDES system ,I am trying to create new Process order (ME21N)with E & L combination ,After entering the Vendor,Pur.Group,Pur.Org,Company code at header level
Material,Account Assignment,Item category,Qty,Price,Plant,stloc at item level And
sales order in account assignment , the G/L account,Business area and CO area not assigned automatically.
what is the wrong in my configuration ? Please help me

Your answer is correct but I did mistake in OKB9,under my chart of account only 4 g/l is coming but I have created more or less 10,I think there is another one place to be assigned the created G/L. Please advise where it is ?

I have to print the text 'Revoke'. if the service entry is revoked. If the service entry sheet is revoked.. is there any field that get flagged or some data can maintained in any table.
And tell he how to use the external subroutine in the script.

Hi,
Only if you create a service entry sheet you can print the document.After it has been accepted GRN automatically gets posted in the background through 101 Mvt type.
Use ML83 to print entry shet.

Reg. Service Sheet cancellation

Hi All,
One of my user was trying to change a service entry sheet for which he had already posted the invoice. I cancel the invoice used T.code MR8M. My question is, after cancel of invoice can I change the service entry sheet or I have to cancel service accepting sheet also ?? what is the T.code to cancel service accepting sheet ????
By cancel in the invoice by MR8M, FI doc. also reverse or I have to manually cancle invoice FI doc. (what is T.code if yes)????

You cant change the service entry sheet but you can cancel the same in transaction ML81N go there go for entry sheet no enter
your entry sheet will be diplayed then justfor the Revoke button now this will reverse the material doc with 102 movemnt type save
after saving go again to the same entry sheet now when you are into the entry sheet go for delete option this will cancel your entery sheet.
Then you can make new entry sheet

ABAW - Balance sheet reval process

Hello,
Our business wants the assets revalued. I am using code abaw and posting the difference between the current value and the expected value to get to my final value. Is there a way I can post the expected value and sap posts a difference entry?
When I post this entry it shows up under planned values and only shows up under posted values once i run depreciation. Is this how it's supposed to work?
At what stage is an fi document generated? I only see an aa document. I updated oayr with the depreciation area Check box and entered a gl account in ao90 for revaluation.
Can some one shed some light on this?

Thanks a lot Paul. I created an LSMW for ABAW and posted. We also had to change our lives. I am not sure how to treat this asset.
It was originally capitalized in 2007 with an 8 year life and now we revalued the amount and gave it a 6 year life. I want the system to post depreciation of the revalued amount for p12 but system is making an adjustment to the entire year and getting this value. I made the configuration changes so that system posts revaluation and my dep key is using 03 replacement value.
My depreciation for the next year is correct but for this year its not. I am not really sure how to change the depreciation start date and useful life

You are asking two different questions here.
For question 1: Please stick to the original thread. You've already received numerous responses. If they are not adequate, please indicate what is not adequate in that thread, rather than making people rehash the same answers.
For question 2: This makes no sense. What script file are you talking about, and why would you want to store it "like a labview (sic) file"?

the multi item order concept is the technical foundation for various solutions in the context of mill products, like the trim order created through the trim optimization interface in APO, or the combined order in in IS-MP or similar industry specific special cases.
What would you need to know specifically and for what kind of process?
There are already a number of use cases realized and available in standard SAP ERP with the IS-MP extension.
You may want to take a look at the PP section of the IS-MP help at:

Scrap accounting in Sheet metal industry

Hi,
I need to take account of the sheet metal scrap generated in the cutting process.
ex: 100 * 100 mm size of thin sheet metal in cut in to numerous pieces, and remaining portions are scrapped.
1. How can i take account of this amount?
2. During production posting/confirmation can these scrap goods be moved automatically to a scrap storage location?

Hi,
I hope the scrap material will be sold in kilogram.
Try to do below things,
Create a material as "scrap" or as you want. Material type should be by-product. In material master MRP 2 view, select 1 in back flush filed and select tick mark for co-product.
Now in BOM, maintain the by-product material in -ve quantity.
Eg: To produce 100*100 mm size let say if you receive 10gram then, enter the value as -10 gram.
During production order confirmation in co11n, system will propose the scrap material automatically during goods movement with 531 movement type. You can receive it in different storage location if you want.
Hope this will solve your doubt.
