Reg sap supporeted languages

Hi All,
I have a very basic question regarding sap supporing languages we know that sap supports around 43 languages what does that mean exactly?Does that mean that we can do the coding in these languages also?for examp if we have done coding in english which is my logon language and if other person loginto the same sever with different logon language say 'DE' if he sees my code which I have writeen in EN it will be EN only or it will convert to DE(log on language?.
Supposed if we have done one report for with logon language English and if the same report used by some other country people with other logon language?how will be the out? suppose we written 'Material number' how it looks when they login with german language and execute the report?
Thanks&Regards

  • How to get SAP application language only with SQL code

    Hi all,
is there a way to get the current language only whith a sql query on the Database?
I know that Ican find that information from the Application object of the UI Api but in this case i can't access them.
    Thanks in advance, Luca.

    Hello
You cannot get the Application language (GUI Language) from SQL, because it is stored on the client machine filesystem
    Location is defined in
C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One\Conf\b1-config-path.txt text file, which by defaulf is:
    %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\SAP\SAP Business One\b1-current-user.xml file

  • SAP audio language not working for *any* channels. Useless tech already came out!

Just got the FIOS service this Friday.
I'm very happy with the internet. Very fast!
The TV, I'm not so happy about.
Having come from AT&T U-Verse, and Time Warner Cable before that, I've gotten used to having the HBO channel lineup (or any premium channels like Showtime/Cinemax/etc) and being able to easily switch between English and Spanish audio. So far, between 6 calls to customer service (each one of them telling me it's possible), and one extremely clueless tech that just left my home after only 5 minutes, I've not been able to do this.
I can SEE the option for SAP! I KNOW HBO offers Spanish audio for its' non-HBO Latino channels. I also know that not all movies have Spanish audio, but the majority of new HBO movies do.
A guy on the phone on Saturday had me convinced that to watch HBO channels with Spanish audio, I had to purchase your Spanish package that comes with extra Spanish channels. I thought this was ridiculous -- since I've already got a PREMIUM package, why in the world would I need to get another package to listen to that premium one in Spanish?! Anyways, I got the package and still no Spanish HBO.
The tech that came and left in 5 minutes changed the channel to HBO Latino and said, "Here, it's working". I pointed out that HBO Latino is not what I meant - none of the other HBO channels have Spanish, althought we could see they said SAP.
What gives, Verizon? This, coupled with the fact that I can't set my main DVR to record a show we're watching on an HD receiver in another room without physically going to the DVR itself (or using a cellphone app!) and that apparently I can only record 1 show on the DVR at a time, has me pining for AT&T... which I never thought would happen.
Hell, even Time Warner Cable's HBO lineup has Spanish.
Sounds to me like your all-fiber network isn't up to snuff on some very basic things.

    skohly wrote:
    Chill man
On your remote push the option button. Then click on audio language and change to spanish. You will be all set
We've been through that appx. 50 times with tech support - not working. Tech guy that came out today said Verizon doesn't offer SAP ... so I don't know what to think now.

  • SAP Scripting Languages on the SDN Day - Amsterdam

I would like to give a short summary of what happened on the SDN Day in Amsterdam, the 17-th Oct. 2006.
After the breakfast Craig Cmehil gave us a welcome to the event and presented the schedule. We started with a power networking session: Four 20-minute Sessions with Six SDNers per Table. As I was sitting at the Scripting Languages table, I would like to share some impressions of the atmosphere there. We talked much about the emmerging SAP Scripting Tool and how much value it will bring to all scripting projects that plan to utilize SAP backend systems. We discussed Gregor Wolf's contest and he was so kind to inform us that his test system is also available inside the SAP corporate network, so all SAP employees now can participate too. Gregor works for Siteco Beleuchtungstechnik GmbH and the award they offer for the contest is a Siteco Vistosa task light. More information about the contest can be found at https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/4588. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] Another key discussion was held with Björn Schotte, the chief editor of PHP Magazine, Germany, presenting also his company Mayflower Gmbh. He shared some visions on business applications of PHP and stated that PHP is definitely enterprise ready.
Then after a very short pause we started the SDN breakout sessions (3-5 in parallel). I visited the sessions of Gregor Wolf, André Labahn, Björn Schotte and after this I cooperated for the breakout session of Frank Mittag.
    Session 1:
Connecting Typo3 to R/3 Enterprise via Web Services with Gregor Wolf from Siteco Beleuchtungstechnik GmbH
Siteco Beleuchtungstechnik GmbH currently implements a customer service centre into it's Typo3 based website. Typo3 is an Open Source Web Content Management system based on the Scripting Language PHP. The application will allow Siteco's customers to directly check price & availability of products from the backend R/3 Enterprise system, quotations, orders and delivery status. The backend connectivity uses Web Services utilise the PEAR SOAP Package.
    Session 2:
SAP supports Scripting Languages with Andre Labahn from SAP.
This session will provide you with more insights on how SAP is supporting scripting languages.
    Session 3:
Scripting Languages PHP and Enterprise Software with Björn Schotte (Chief Editor from PHP Magazine).
This session showed us a brief history of PHP and PHP in Germany. Some enterprise applications of PHP were discussed. Björn Schotte was the opinion that PHP is definitely enterprise ready and he proved it with an example of a system that his company has created for Siemens.
    Session 4:
Scripting Languages Tool with Frank Mittag and Vasil Bachvarov (me) from SAP
SAP will provide a open source tool to the scripting development community that is supporting the access to SAP Backend Systems via RFC/BAPIs and Webservices. See the concept and demo of the tool and discuss this with SAP Development.
There was a pretty interesting discussion about the tool. Since the time for the last session shrinked with some minutes we had to be very quick, but Frank Mittag did a great job and succeeded to explain the basic concept of the SAP Scripting Tool and show it in action for the tough time constraint.
There were a lot of questions from the audience but it was already 18:30 and we stopped at this point. There would be a second chance for questions on thursday when Frank had the opportunity to make a more complete and comprehensive walk-through of the project.
Then we gathered in the meeting hall and Shai Agassi held a speech and made a summary of the event.
The evening finished in the BoomChicago theater where everybody received a delicious meal, drinks and a great amount of fun with the ChicagoBoom comic crew.
I would like to thank all people that made this event come true! See you soon in Bangalore.
    Best Regards,
    Vasil Bachvarov

I'm be there in Amsterdam as well.  In fact I am leaving the US on Sunday and arriving early Monday morning in Amsterdam.
I was planning to do a little site seeing on Monday Afternoon.  If anyone else is arriving a bit early as well, they are welcome to join me.  It is always more fun to site see in groups.  My email address is public in my SDN business card (also not too difficult to figure out ) if anyone is interested in meeting up.

    Hi,
Your question is not very clear....
but if you want to Spell out a Number (Amount in your case) you can use the function Module
    CALL FUNCTION 'SPELL_AMOUNT'
    EXPORTING
AMOUNT          =  (Amount to be printed)
       CURRENCY        = ' '
       FILLER          = ' '
       LANGUAGE        = SY-LANGU
    IMPORTING

Hi. we are having SAP 4.7 x220 ... Non Unicode... we already installing and import Korean Languange..

come to printing, it using KPSAWIN...
    looking from this notes :

Note 750219 - Unicode UTF-8 printing with HP printers
Note 724084 - SAP NetWeaver information for Asian language versions
from that notes.. say that korean printing can be done by having korean front end.
any body can give me any hints / clarification on it ?
seem i cant find any information on OSS notes.

    Hi,
Unicode would be highly recommended in your case.
However you should be able to print Korean data when using KPSAPWIN and logon with Korean (please check e.g. SAP note 83502).

    Hi experts,
I have one problemin bseg-sgtxt field. i develop sap script for payment print prog, In my script my field is bseg-sgtxt(item text). and this field lenght is 50 char. i want more then 50 char through this field in my script. for that i use long text button... this long text stored in EENO_DYNP and field name is ZEILE , but it is a structure...so my question is
    1) How can i retrive this long text field in my script
    2) Can u give me example with this coding..
    3) How can i concate bseg-sgtxt with EENO_DYNP-ZEILE
I need code example for that....
    Pl help me its urgent
    zeni

    hi,
the long text of a document are stored into the standard text table and u can read it with the function READ_TEXT.
call this function in this way
    >CONCATENATE bseg-bukrs bseg-belnr bseg-buzei INTO name.
    >CALL FUNCTION 'READ_TEXT'
    >  EXPORTING
    >    id                      = '0001'
    >    language                = sy-langu
    >    name                    = name
    >    object                  = 'DOC_ITEM'  " identified FI document
    >  TABLES
    >    lines                   = t_line
    >  EXCEPTIONS
    >    id                      = 1
    >    language                = 2
    >    name                    = 3
    >    not_found               = 4
    >    object                  = 5
    >    reference_check         = 6
    >    wrong_access_to_archive = 7
    >    OTHERS                  = 8.
the id of the text you can find in SPRO transaction under
Financial accounting->Financial accounting Global Settings ->Document->line Item-> Define Text Identifications for Line Items
here you can find all ID of the standard text that are configurated in your system.
now you can concatenate BSEG-SGTXT with the standard text of the document item .
    bye

  • SAP HANA Language file

    Hi Experts,
I have deployed SAP HANA Live for ECC in my system, but I am not able to import the language file LANG_HCOHBAECC.tgz.
When I try to import, as the same way I have done with the HCOHBAECC.tgz file, I receive the message "Repository: import failed;Import::import(): wrong archive type ET_LANGUAGE_TRANSPORT, you have to use importLanguage() to import this".
How can I import this file to translate the content of HANA Live?
    Best Regards,
    Renato Ely

    Hello Renato,
the way you chossed via importing DU's directly vom the HANA Studio is not the recommended way for doing that.
Please check the HANA LIVE Admin Guide for some infos.
The Recommended way which is documented there is the usage of "SAP HANA Lifecycle Manager".
This tool automaticaly takes care of Content and Language Import.
For more info please directly check within the Admin Guide, which you can find at:
Download and Deploy Content Package - SAP HANA Live for SAP Business Suite Administrator's Guide - SAP Library
