Reg script transportation

Hi all,
I have made the necessary changes in scripts and saved it. Now i want to release it for quality. How can i know the request no. to release in se09.
for first time it will ask but for second time how can we get it.

Hi Ratna,
You can look up the transport request for Script in SE03.
SE03 -> Search for objects in requests/tasks -> Put object type as FORM and give name of your SAP script -> Execute.
You'll get a list of TRs for your Script.

Experts....
We have created a Z SAP Script. in DEVELOPMENT CLIENT : 100
We have successfully transported the changes from DEVELOPMENT CLIENT to UNIT TESTING CLIENT 120 in the same system thru SCC1.
UNIT TESTING RESULTS are OK, and our DEVELOPER has given a request to import into production.
But we imported the request, But changes are not reflecting in QUALITY.
I found below thread but i failed to understand...the last steps...
Can any one please help in this regard.

Finally.....We could able to close this....
Weunderstood....to do inital fill in target client we do it from "000" clinet to "XXX" target clinet
once it is available ..the rest all goes with CLASSIC TRANSPORT APPROACH.
Not sure why the inital Transport request with changed did nor worked.
With the help of ABAP Expert...we just reactivated the in SE71 and added into request
imported the request into Quality & Worked..
When the inital fill is completed for SAP Standard ,
the rest of changes to is managed thru SAP Classic Transport Method.
For "Z" script..even no where connected with "000" client.
As we fixed with above assumptions...we conclude as above....
i request any expert to correct us if our assumptions in wrong direction.

Interactive Scripting Transport

Hi experts
I have created the interactive scripts in Dev System. I have used transport icon in ISE to transport from Dev to QA. But, when i have imported in Quality, Branching action (which is included in script) is missing / not got transported. I have transported the relevant ABAP class first, before transporting the actual scripts.
Can anyone guide me what is the best practice for scripting transport.
1) Is there anything i have missed?
2) How does delta-transport will work? Means, if i makes any change in Dev and transports again to QA, how it behaves?
3) What is the approach to transport Scripts that contain Branching/Non-branching actions?
4) Once transport is finished, can i activate the script again in Dev? Does it impact anything?
I would appreciate your expert help in this regard.

Hi Surya,
Very valid questions asked and I feel disappointed that despite 4 yrs, I still stand at same place where you were in 2010. I also have the exact questions as I could not find any proper document related to IS transports. There many ifs and buts and dos and don't and with my experience in SAP CRM, I generally prefer to find the right ways and learn from the lessons others might have learnt when trying the same thing.
Can you please advice from your experience your take on the approach and procedure for IS transports for these questions ?

Client dependent SCRIPT transporting to QA systems?

We hv clients like below,
clinet_gold (100- Gold clinet)
clinet_EU for Europe region
clinet_US for US region.
We hv a Z_Script_Invoice, meant (developed and using) for Europe region i.e. in clinet_EU
We r supposed to do changes (create TR/CR) only in clinet_gold (100- Gold clinet).
I got a requirement of fixing some issue in this script.
So, I made changes in the script in clinet_gold (100- Gold clinet), so TR/CR is created here in this client, fine.
Then, I logged in to clinet_EU>SE71->Menu->Utilities>COPY FROM CLIENT.......so, I entered the selection screen fields and OVER WRITTEN the existing script, so that, my changes are reflected, fine.
So, now, the created TR/CR is released to QA, so, pls. let me know,
1) Where and Where I can see my changes in QA boxes? in perspective of clinet_gold_QA, clinet_EU_QA?
2) Or by default this TR/CR will get imported in ALL test (QA) systems?

you should not do client_eu->se71.......
You should go to client_eu
execute the transaction scc1
and provide the transport request number which u have create for changes for script in client_gold.
and check the check box immediately
this will bring the changes from clent client_gold to client_eu.
se71->goto->copy from clients is used when we create new script from already existing.

How to populate class based on value of seed class attribute instead of doing reg/script discovery again?

I have a seed class. I populate that seed class using script discovery and it has attribute 1,2 and 3. Those 3 attributes are all populated via the script discovery too.
Now I created a new application class which use the seed class as target. The criteria is if attribute 1 equal to a certain value. Here comes the question, how to create this discovery? In authoring console the options are registry discovery, script discovery
and custom discovery. Since attribute 1 is already populated in seed class using script, I think I can use that instead of doing another script discovery for the new application class.
However I didn't find a way to do that. Any suggestions?

I pasted the base seed MP as following.
The base MP has two classes: "MyBaseMP.MyApps.Candidates" and "MyBaseMP.MyApps".
"MyBaseMP.MyApps.Candidates" is created from "Windows.Computer" class. Then it is discovered by "MyBaseMP.MyApps.Candidates.RegDiscvoery".
"MyBaseMP.MyApps" is created from "Windows.Local.Application" class. It is then discovered by "MyBaseMP.MyApps.ScriptDiscovery". This script discovery is targeting on "MyBaseMP.MyApps.Candidates" class. The script
also populated 5 attribute for "MyBaseMP.MyApps" and they are APPLICATION, LOB, GROUP, ENVIRONMENT and STATE.
This base MP works as expected.
Now I want to create a new custom MP. The new MP has a new class "MyFinanceApps" created from "MyBaseMP.MyApps". The service model is very simple just like following

I understand from a SAP Note (can't recall the number) that actions cannot be transported.
However let me know if things have changed :-) What approach you took ?
By the way, I am trying to design the script in such a way that transporting can be easy - I would like your input here.I am on CRM7.0 Ehp 2.
Can you please advise any precautions I must take when transporting the scripts based on your experience ? Also if possible, can you list the steps or may be create a blog - I am sure it will help a lot of people.

Actually according to my knowledge XI Content aca be transfered from DEV>QA>PROD XI servers using CMS transports right?
But for this Actually one CMS Server is enogh right? that means here XI DEV Server is X42

but client is asking why we a re not able to access this

I think he is thinking that like XI portals for CMS also there will be 3 individual cms links are there right?
But is it wrong or my argument is righ? at which my arguement is only one CMS Sever is enough that means one link is enough right?

Please provide exact CMS transport link procedure other that the linnk contaning "How To Transport XI Content Using CMS
Version 1.00 October 2005"?

The above code is working fine and result is extracted but i have hardcoded , ACCOUNT=EXP01A;
My Query is follows:
I have used
*WHEN ACCOUNT
*IS "EXP01"
In REC i want to use concatenation of "A" To account like EXP01&"A"
i know accunt & i want to concatenate "A" and use in REC statement like assign to variable
var1="EXP01" & "A" and use var1 in REC
*REC(EXPRESSION = [TIME].[2011.04]-%VALUE%,TIME = 2011.04,ACCOUNT = var1)
i am not sure the syntax (Whether we need to put in strings)
Also if EXP02 then var1="EXP02"&"A" and so on
In fact i want to make this for all members in Account Dimenstion as generalised.
Pl. verify and suggest best possibility

there is maybe a little misunderstanding:
1) if variables A = 'HELLO ' and B = 'WORLD'
&A& &B& will print 'HELLO WORLD'
&A(C)& &B& will print 'HELLO WORLD'
2) if variable A = 'HELLO WORLD'
&A& will print 'HELLO WORLD'
&A(C)& will print 'HELLO WORLD'
If you want to replace 2 or more successive blanks by one blank, you must use "CONDENSE A" ABAP statement so that:
&A& will print 'HELLO WORLD'
&A(C)& will print 'HELLO WORLD'

If you are trying to condense blank spaces within two words probably (C) is not working. An alternative is condese this field in control program and using CONDENSE NO-GAP. I think that (C) is work that CONDENSE instruction but without NO-GAP.

Hi,
Go to se12 and see the tnapr table. see the application for the standard script. Go to NACE transaction. select the application. Choose the output type. Thereare output types like fax, printout edi etc. Choose the one you want. go to change mode. Enter the name of the customized script there and save.
NEU is for purchase order.
