Hi Archana,
Can you please tell us what is the problem you are facing after you click on Startup.bat.
The above problem what you have mentioned is not an error.
Is it opening the MI login screen? Please describe little in detail.

  • Macbook Won't Boot

    I looked around for similar problems but didn't see anything.
    I had some trouble with the latest security update crashing me, and the geniuses at the apple store just reinstalled OS X (I can do that myself), so I was hoping someone here could help me out.
    Here's what happened:
    I was trying to burn an mp3 CD with iTunes. 6 of the tracks were not mp3 format, so it wouldn't burn the whole disk (no big deal). So I accidently told it to go ahead and burn everything except those tracks, and quickly cancelled the burn to try and save the disk as soon as I realized.
    Then iTunes wouldn't show that it had stopped burning, it wouldn't eject, and iTunes wouldn't quit. I did a forced quit, but it still showed up as open in the dock. Finally, I went to the apple menu and shut down. Computer took a little longer than usual, but did eventually shut down.
    Now the computer won't boot at all. It plays the chime and just sits here with a grey screen (no little timer thing either). The cd is still in thre, and the HD is spinning (or maybe it's the disk).
    Anyways, any input anyone might have would be greatly appreciated, I'm pretty bummed as this is my second issue in as many weeks.

    The same thing just happened to me. My son tried to burn a disc then cancelled it; he said it wouldn't eject and then he just shut down. Trying to start it now I just got a grey screen and the sound of the spinning drive.
    I held down the mouse, held down the eject during startup, I reset the PRAM (SMC, whatever they call it on the MacBook now) and still nothing.
    Then I just let it sit (on the grey screen, without the "apple" at startup) while I went online for some solutions-- and after a good 5 minutes, it finally went thru the reg startup on its own, and I was able to eject it from the desktop. (Thank you, God.)
    Sometimes patience (or neglect) is a virtue.

  • Reg: Application Server startup objects

    Hello...
    I am using weblogic server v9. I want to hit the database and populate a couple of objects during startup of my app server and store them in application scope.
    I have no idea on how to proceed. Any hints on the same will be appreciated.
    ~SirG

    Hello SirGeneral,
    You need to implement the ServletContextListener in your application. To do this add following in you web.xml
    <listener-class>
         AppStartListener
    </listener-class>
    Where AppStartListener implements ServletContextListener. Implement the contextInitialized and contextDestroyed methods of the interface. Use the ServletContextEvent argument passed to these methods to lookup your servelt context as event.getServletContext(), which is your application scope. Now do what ever you wish with it.
    Also see my response to thread Disabling Multiple login of a user.
    Again, , not sure why you posted in EJB forum, your issue is jsp/servlet related. You would get best responses there.
    Good Luck

    Hi Swati,
    When you see this error
    Cause: weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceDeadException: 0:weblogic.common.Res
    ourceException: Could not create pool connection. The DBMS driver exception was:
    IO Error: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
    Action: Check the stack trace for more details.
    That means Datasource Connection Pool is failing to create a pool either due to DB is down or no connection made by Pool resource.
    Try to tune the Datasource with following parameter will help you.
    1. Eanble Test connection on reseve
    2. Connection creation retry frequency second set as 10 these two parameter make reconnect back to you DB and Pool start executing correctly.
    After enable still have problem please provide complete stack.

  • MF Crashes on startup, but works in safe-mode and for a few minutes after making a new user, can anyone help?

    After troubleshooting for a few hours, I still cannot find a proper solution. Effectively, I learned that if I create a new profile user, with this command in windows Run: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -p , I can open the user profile menu manually, and create/delete a new/not-new user, and upon creating and using a new one, it works fine. For a couple of times opening the browser, anyway, in which it results in the same problem as before. I took a list and compared the old files to a brand new users files, and did find some differences. Take these into effect,
    The compatability and extensions .ini files were differed by 3 kb , with a new user being 1, and the old user being 4.
    The Local Store .rdf file differed from 2 for a new user, to 4 for an old user.
    The Mime Types .rdf file differed from 3 for a new user to 4 for an old user.
    Plugin Reg(istry?) .dat differed from 17 new to 20 old.
    Search.json differed from 13 new to 16 old.
    Search Metadata.json differed from 1 new to 4 old.
    URL Classifier Key 3.txt differed from 1 new to 4 old.
    Web App Store.sqlite differed from 96 new to 128 old.
    (All units are KB)
    Seeing as a few articles relating to the problem are "no longer maintained" and the solutions work only temporarily, I came here hoping to fix this little issue. Thank you, and good luck in advance.
    -Av
    Note; the first crash ID is for the new user that crashed, the last is for an old user.

    I see.. I have heard rumors of this, but it did not occur to me that this would literally crash upon startup. Thank you for the help, Edmeister. Will check as "solved it" if it works. Thanks again!

  • Office for MAC chrashes on Startup EXC_BAD_ACCESS

    Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) 2011 for MAC chrashes on startup
    Hi,
    I am running Mountain Lion on a MacBook Pro Early 2011. I had the latest version of Office for Mac installed when it chrased.
    I really need some help to solve this problem. Suddenly, my office for MAC chrashes on startup. It applies to all office programs (Word, PowerPoint and Excel). When I try to start either up, Microsoft Error Reporting immediately shows up.
    It is definitely worth mentioning that I also fiddled with the Microsoft User Data folder, which to my much annoyance places itself in the "Documents" folder on the mac and REFUSES to go away. Then I placed it in the library preference folder and it hasn't returned since, but the problem might or might not be related to that... Who knows. I think I did a lot of damage when moving that folder around. And I really think it is related to the problem.
    I have earlier, leading up to this, experienced problems in connection to a file/document or something called "Normal"(??)
    About two months ago. I removed Office for Mac and did a clean install. However the problem returned after about 6 weeks.
    This is the report, I get. I need some help to understand what is wrong here and what I can do to solve it.
    Thank you very much

    I too am having similar issues.  I had Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac on auto update.  The 2nd to last update (the latest update was ironically and error reporting update for Mac!) is what caused the problem as everything was working find until then.
    Work, Excel and Power Point will load to about 44% and then crash.  It appears to have also affected Microsoft Silverlight as Netflix will not play content on my computer anymore and says there is a DRM error (Digital Rights Management).
    Here is there error log I get:

    Please help.  I've tired virtually every single blog fix and done several clean installs of the program with no luck and trying to get Microsoft to respond, let alone help, is impossible!!!

  • Firefox crashes on startup

    Here's the deal.
    From one day onto the next, out of the blue, Firefox (version 18.0.1) refuses to start up.
    I get the crash reporter screen as soon as Firefox tries to start, stating that firefox has crashed.
    If I click on "Details" nothing happens.
    If I click on "Restart Firefox" I immidiately get the next Crash Reporter screen.
    No Windows updates were installed, and no Firefox updates either from what I can tell.
    I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64bit with SP1 btw...
    So I tried starting firefox in "Windows Compatability mode" using Windows XP SP3.
    Now Firefox starts, including all plugins, without any problems.
    I can also start firefox in "Safe mode" by holding down the SHIFT key when double-clikcing on the firefox icon.
    So while in safe mode, I typed about:crashes in the URL bar witch showed the following:

    (in the mean time, I have a whole lot more :( )
    So then (still in Firefox safe mode) I went into the Add-ons Manager and uninstalled all Extensions.
    Then I disabled all plugins (which btw are all up to date according to Firefox itself):
    Java Deployment Toolkit 7.0.110.21 10.11.2.21
    Java(TM) Paltform SE 7 U11 10.11.2.21
    Adobe Acrobat 11.0.1.36
    Shockwave Flash 11.5.205.146
    Silverlight Plug-In 5.1.10411.0
    VLC Web Plugin 2.0.2.0
    Wacom Tablet Plugin 2.1.0.2
    Then I closed Firefox, but when trying to start Firefox again in normal mode, it crashed again.
    I have also tried uninstalling Firefox completely, then running a registry cleaner to make sure everything was really gone.
    Then downloading and installed Firefox 18.0.1 again.
    But as soon as it started it crashed again.
    I again uninstalled Firefox, ran the reg-cleaner but this time I installed Firefox version 9 (which I still had on a backup drive), but this version too, crashes on startup.
    And I had the same with version 15 which I also still had on the backup drive.
    But whichever version I install, they all crash at startup unless I start them in compatibility mode or safe mode.
    I even uninstalling all the programs which had a plugin embeded in the browser, so there were no plugins left.
    And again, uninstalled Firefox and reinstaled it. But still Firefox crashes at startup.
    And finally I even updated my graphics drivers and followed this thread:
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration#os=win7&browser=fx18
    Since I've done everything I can think off, I'm at a loss as to what the problem could be.
    So if anyone has any idea, please let me know.
    I hate to switch browsers, and I don't want to run things in "compatability mode" just to have it working, because it did work before.
    in the mean time, here are some more crash reports:

    Just a small update...
    I tried running a portable version of Firefox which I had on my USB stick... same problem.
    The same goes for my TOR Browser (which uses Firefox too), it too crashes when the embedded Firefox is started.
    Both however, have always worked just fine on the same system and still work fine on any other system I have.
    ---edit---
    Well I finished uninstalling and removing everything Firefox related on my system (also ran the reg-cleaner again).
    I downloaded and reinstalled Firefox 18, but it still crashes.
    I ran it in safe mode, disabled the hardware acceleration, and ran it again in normal mode...
    guess what... it works again!
    The weird thing is, I already tried disabling the hardware acceleration but it didn't work.
    So why it works now? I haven't got a clue.
    The other weird thing is... why did this problem occur in the first place... There have been no changes to my system, no updates, nothing.
    Ah well, I guess I'll never know. But at least it's working again.
    Thanks for the help.

  • "Windows Explorer Has Stopped Working" Error Message Loop upon Startup of WIndows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

    Ok I have a HP Touchsmart 6000 running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit OS.  It is my 74 year old mothers computer and about 3 months ago it started acting up.  First thing that happened was the internal DVD Burner started working intermitently, recognizing
    her QuickBooks backup DVD files occasionally.  I got her a new  internal DVD burner and it worked for a while.   during that time on Startup Help and Support would all of a sudden popup right away.    Then recently Adobe Acrobat would
    launch a PDF file about Flash and keep opening multiple instances of it.   Now her new DVD doesnt work again and on startup at the windows desktop she gets an error "Windows Explorer has Stopped Working".   No matter what I click the error
    keeps looping.  No program has been opened that causes it to crash because the error happens immediately and keeps repeating.   I have tried to boot to Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking and have tried System Restore to no avail.
    I have ran Malwarebytes Antivirus, Malwarebytes AntiExploit, AntiRootkit as well as Combofix.   I have run the AntiMalware software from Microsoft and have updated all the drivers for the HP system.   To no succcess.
    At one point the system did load and an error came up JAN2OSD failed to start due to missing ACPI or something like that.  For that brief moment Explorer stopped crashing.   When I finished updating  driverss though the error  came back.
    Please Help  as she is about to cry and no one wants to make a 74 year old woman cry.:)
    Thanks,
    Jeff

    Hi,
    According to the steps you have performed, we have followed the steps mentioned in this KB article?
    Error: Windows Explorer has stopped working
    Hvae you tried the repair install of Windows 7? Follow the steps here:
    How to Perform an In-Place Upgrade on Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 & Windows Server 2008 R2
    Besides, if issue insists, please follow the steps below to generate a dump file:
    1. Create a new folder (named New folder)under C: drive.
    2. Please save the below as a .reg file, and then import it to registry, reference here:
    ===
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\LocalDumps\explorer.exe]
    "DumpFolder"=hex(2):43,00,3a,00,5c,00,4e,00,65,00,77,00,20,00,66,00,6f,00,6c,\
      00,64,00,65,00,72,00,00,00
    "DumpCount"=dword:00000010
    "DumpType"=dword:00000001
    "CustomDumpFlags"=dword:00000000
    ===
     3.  After that , if Windows Explorer stops working again, please check the
    C:\New folder for dump files and then upload them.
    Meanwhile, please also make a contact with the manufacturer to see if we could get any further help from there.

  • [SOLVED] Slow System Startup

    Hello, it is a few weeks that I'm experiencing slow startups. Previously my system was starting up in less than 15 seconds, but now it takes about 30 seconds to start up. I thought that issue will probably go away after a few updates but it still persists. I was wondering if anyone can help me to find the issue.

    OK, I found a solution for this problem after fiddling with my fstab. Trick is to let Systemd mount partitions when necessary and do its business during boot like explained here in Arch wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Im … tem_mounts
    $ nano /etc/fstab
    # /etc/fstab: static file system information
    # <file system> <dir> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
    /dev/sda8 /boot ext4 defaults,noatime,noauto,x-systemd.automount 0 2
    /dev/sda9 none swap defaults,noauto,x-systemd.automount 0 0
    # /dev/sda10 / ext4 defaults,noatime,noauto,x-systemd.automount 0 1
    /dev/sda11 /home ext4 defaults,noatime,noauto,x-systemd.automount 0 2
    Now my boot time is reduced from 28secs to 9secs without any SSD card or Readahead like software involved:

  • USB disk won't mount on startup (have tried everything)

    Hi!
    I'm having big problems getting my USB disk to mount on startup.:(
    It used to work perfectly by having 'mount /dev/sdc1 /media/disk' in rc.local (and umount in local.shutdown) but recently it started saying that 'filesystem type must be defined' (or something like that). So I changed the line to 'mount -t ext3 /dev/sdc1 /media/disk' but now I get a message that '/dev/sdc1 does not exist'.
    So I decided to get this fixed in fstab once and for all.
    I checked the designations of the disks with 'fdisk -l' and noticed that the USB disk would alternate between /dev/sdc, /dev/sde and /dev/sdd quite random on every reboot. In other words I couldn't mount it in fstab by using one of those paths cause I'd get the same problem with '/dev/sdc or -e or -d does not exist'. I figured the sollution must be to mount the disk by using UUID. I checked the uuid's and got the following (as you can see the USB disk is on this reboot registered as '/dev/sde'):
    bash-3.2$ ls -l /dev/disk/by-uuid/
    total 0
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 2009-02-07 11:56 6cf5e803-429a-44c3-bcf9-0f007df623f3 -> ../../sda1
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 2009-02-07 11:56 8ef6be20-ee30-4a00-8946-56a4d94a7245 -> ../../sda3
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 2009-02-07 11:56 947b3b86-8501-4011-9da2-4de45eb4ed60 -> ../../sda2
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 2009-02-07 11:56 94911fb3-def7-4440-b6a5-5e09f91b19f6 -> ../../sde1
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 2009-02-07 11:56 acd197d3-f63e-48f9-88de-41eff1b3b425 -> ../../sda4
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 2009-02-07 11:56 b6745703-bde6-44ef-865d-d09501ecc8ab -> ../../sdb1
    I other words the UUID of the disk should be '94911fb3-def7-4440-b6a5-5e09f91b19f6' so I added that to the fstab file, but I still get the same error that the disk doesn't exist. How is this possible? Isn't the UUID supposed to be the same no matter what? When the disk is clearly labeled with this UUID every time I check it why can't it be used in fstab??
    Here's my fstab (I've commented out the lines that I've been trying out):
    # /etc/fstab: static file system information
    # <file system> <dir> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
    none /dev/pts devpts defaults 0 0
    none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
    /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
    /dev/dvd /mnt/dvd udf ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
    /dev/sda1 /boot ext2 defaults 0 1
    /dev/sda2 / ext3 defaults 0 1
    /dev/sda3 /var reiserfs defaults 0 1
    /dev/sda4 /home ext3 defaults 0 1
    /dev/sdb1 /extra ext3 defaults 0 1
    #/dev/sdc1 /media/disk defaults 0 0
    #UUID=94911fb3-def7-4440-b6a5-5e09f91b19f6 /media/disk defaults 0 0
    What am I doing wrong here? I've also tried to use different options like 'rw,auto,exec' but it won't work.

    It seems I'm able to mount the disk from the terminal by doing '# sudo mount UUID=94911fb3-def7-4440-b6a5-5e09f91b19f6 /media/disk'.
    But this only works when I do it manually. Adding 'mount UUID=94911fb3-def7-4440-b6a5-5e09f91b19f6 /media/disk' to rc.local only gives the error that filesystem must be defined and when it's defined I get the error that device is not found.
    How can it work manually, but not in fstab or rc.local?
    Here's my dmesg:

  • Photoshop CS4 (64bit) - crash at startup

    OS: vista 64bit (all latest updates)
    nvidia 8800gts 512 (driver 180.48)
    8 gb RAM + latest mobo bios
    It was working totally fine then WHAM! I noticed it first when i minimized it to the taskbar to look for some other files on my desktop. now it suddenly doesn't want to start. the 'only' thing is that the pc went into hibernation while i was at lunch a few times this week (can't see that having an effect)
    I start it up and it crashes +/- after 8 seconds. EVERY time.
    - Tried using the "run as admin" = didn't work (tried it just in case)
    - tried changing a few settings in nvidia control panel = nada!
    - once i got it open within the 8 seconds, I turned off openGL completly = nada!
    - I've used the "DisallowOpenGLWindows_OFF.reg" just in case and that doesn't work either. (its a pretty recent GFX card)
    all other cs4 apps (master suite) are working fine!
    this exact same thing happened just before i reinstalled vista x64 about a month ago.
    anyone got this problem? any solutions?
    Pete

    Ok I've spent the last few hours going through ALL my custom fonts and trying to find what was causing the problem. I typed out all of the characters on my keyboard and cycled through my fonts from top to bottom.
    I'm a guitarist also, and I discovered the culprit to be guitar pros "Guitar Pro 5.ttf" - must be a glyph problem in the font that photoshop couldn't handle (as i said before...no problems with the rest of my CS4)....although the problem was the guitar pro font, photoshop kept crashing on other STANDARD installed fonts such as Arial, georgia, corbel....until i removed the guitar pro one. man this was a pain to locate!!!
    now the weirdest thing is it only started happening yesterday. both programs have been installed side by side for over a month without issue. what gives?
    photoshop SHOULD have a popup whenever this problem occurs (similar to illys missing font dialogue) for font exclusions if they stop it from running.
    saying something like:
    b "Photoshop CS4 has failed to load "name of font.ttf".
    Do you want to:
    - Add font to exclusion list?
    - uninstall the font?
    while I'm on the subject, is there a way to make the CS4 suite point at a font directory other than the default (C:\Windows\Fonts)?
    as I don't ever use those fonts in MS office or any other program. with the BONUS of not loading all these fonts at startup.
    /end of rant
