Dear Gurus,
In my plant I would like to know the storage location for all the materials in the plant.can u guys suggest me the solution?

If Stock is there in Each Storage Location then You can Run MMBE Report by Inputting Material & Plant. Then it will Show All the Storage Location Stocks for a Plant.
Or you can Run MM60 Report Which will give you Detail Report.
Else you Can Check in MMSC List of Extendable Storage Locations.

Reg Storage location control when pulled materials via fixed bin replenishm

We are Using Storagelocation Control Functionality in WM
We have below Storage locations
RW01 - Raw Material Storing
PD01 - Materials staged for Production Lines
I have setup RW01 as Standard Storage location and PD01 as 'not copied to TR'
When i try to do bin to bin tranfer raw material to production lines From Bin in RW01 to Bin in PD01, TO has RW01 as expected, i Run posting change background job and this functionality is working fine
We would be using Fixed bin replenishment strategy to stage materials for productions from raw materials storage
I run LP21 for PD01, it has created TR but has storage location PD01 instead of RW01.
PD01 shouldnt have copied as i have set 'Not to be copied to TR' for PD01
Fixed bin replenishment doesnt support storage location control? does we need to go for customization ?

While debugging we relaixed SAP doesnt check storage location control config at all while doing fixed bin replenishment, only custom solution to force system to check storage location control config and assign storage location is TR?

New storage locations for sites

Hi
I have a system landscape of dev, qas and Production systems.
I have a requirement of creating new storage locations for all the existing sites.
But in IS-retail all the store sites are created in WB02.
Many of the sites are not there in dev and qas systems.
Now storage locations being a configurable value i am not able to create new locations in dev system.
Kindly advise how to go ahead

You can check in any MM transaction code like in MMBE or in MB52 or in MB51 or in MM03....etc.
In the selection screen of MMBE please go to storage location field and press F4.
Now system will display all storage location with plant and if you wants to see all storage locations belongs to only one plant,in the out put of this field u can enter the specific plant and it will display all storage location for that plant.

Can I assign several physical storage locations for each virtual machine when using the replication-feature from Hyper-V 2012 R2?

Hi everyone,
I have 2x physical servers running Hyper-V 2012 R2. Each hosts several virtual machines. The VHDs of the VMs are stored on several dedicated physical disks to have a performance boost. For exampe if VM A has two VHDs attached I made sure that the VHDs are
on different physical disks to have them not slow-down each other in case of intensive disk accesses.
So far so good. I was looking forward to the replication-feature. The idea is to have the two physical servers have their primary running VMs being replicated to the other physical server and vice-versa. I was hoping to have the chance to choose for each
individual VM where the replicated VHD will be stored. But instead I can only see the one location/path which is configured in Hyper-V Manager when I activate the replication-feature on the server.
Is there by any chance a way how to select the storage location for each VHD/VM if using the replication-feature of Hyper-V 2012 R2?

Secondly, you could replicate different VMs to different storage locations to perform some of the disk balancing you are trying to perform. Lastly, you could copy the vhd file to a different location
before starting the VM.

The part I quoted from your reply sounds exactly like the action I'd like to perform, but as you pointed out before this should not be possible.
How can I perform the action (replicating each VM to a storage location) as you mentioned secondly? To sum it up again:
2x physical machines carrying severel HDDs
8+ VMs spread to run on the 2x servers
when setting up replication I can only set the storage-location from server A on B and vice versa B on A

Hi Jagadeeswari,
If you need to check Workflow Trace check Transaction SWU9. This displays all the WOrkflow started on a particular time period we specify. Check Program RSWTTR01 and also table SWT_LOGCAT which could help you. The transaction i have specified displays all the Workflow that has been executed and whether it is been a success or a failure.

The storage location for Time Machine backups can't be found

I recently purchased a Time Capsule and have successfully backed-up both a PC (via ethernet) and my MacBookPro via wireless. However, after a few hours of inactivity on my MacBook Pro, the Time Capsule icon on my desktop is gone. When I launch Time Machine, I get the following message:
"The storage location for Time Machine backups can't be found". I have browsed the forums and noticed some answers to similar queries to check the "Remember password" option when establishing the connection. I do not have this option when I reconnect. What am I missing?

It does work! I have successfully use DW on my TC both wirelessly and via ethernet. Ethernet is of course much quicker. And I have run into more DW errors trying wirelessly, so I avoid that method whenever possible. As for other NAS device - I wouldn't know.

When I created storage location for halb and when I want to post initial stock through MB1C I am getting error saying material type and storage location not maintained. Can any one solve my problem. Are the material masters of your materials extended to the new storage location / have you defined automatic creation (for movement) in customizing (SPRO > Material Manegement > Inventory management & PI > Automatic movements > Create Storage Location Automatically)?
If the material masters are not extended you can't book those materials to that SL.

MIGO: determination of storage location for empties

Hello SD experts,
Case: plant A delivers materials to plant B (interplant delivery). This delivery is posted GR through TC MIGO (based on delivery). Now, the issue is that SAP is not able to automatically determine the storage location for the empties (crates and crate containers). Can ayone tell me how we can let SAP do this automatically?
Currently, we use WM for all finished products (storage location 0100). Empties are however not WM managed (storage location 0110). Empties are calculated and added in the delivery (user exit MV50AFZ1); not in the sales order.

- If storage location for picking is not specified in the order item, the system determines the storage location when it creates the outbound delivery and copies it into the delivery item. Otherwise, the storage location entered in the order item is used in the outbound delivery.
- The system determines the picking location based on a rule defined in the delivery type. The following rules are shipped in the standard system:
- MALA: The picking location is determined based on the shipping point, the delivering plant, and the storage condition for the material as defined in the material master.
- RETA and MARE: These rules are mainly used in trade scenarios.
- You can also use the customer exit in SAP enhancement V02V0002 to implement storage location determination.
- The picking location search is activated for each delivery item category.

Block Storage Location for Material Movement

Dear MM Gurus,
pl let us know how to block storage location for a material in Plant.
Requirement is transfer posting (MIGO) should not allow by using 311 mov type in sloc, error message to receive.
example ;
material ; 5000
sloc ; 0001
sloc ; 0002
migo-transfer posting should not happen by using 311
5000
0001 - to 0002
we want to block sloc-0002, how to block sloc, pl help if any solution available.

Hi,
You can block the material completely for any movement type by checking X Plant matl status in Basic data view of material master.Or if you want to block specific movement type it will have to done thro authorisation but will apply to all materials .Here the authorisation object M_MSEG_LGO can be worked to remove the movement type or storage loaction .

The Following Functionality is required:
Upon automatically running a batch job the system will check for all expired Materials with a stock status of Restricted and change that status to Blocked
i have to call Call 'BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE' function module for creating the material document
Upon running Batch job, the program will look in table MCH1 for all Batch/Material combinations that have an expired SLED (field: VFDAT).
After finding all expired Batch/Material combinations in step one the program will then use that data to locate the associated Plants (field: WERKS) and Storage Locations (field: LGORT) in table MCHB
where BAPI2017_GM_CODE-GM_CODE = 04(Transfer Posting).
my question is after passing the selcted data into GOODSMVT_ITEM will the materials that i have selcted will automatically be changed from Restricted and change that status to Blocked
id so what would be the correct GOODSMVT_ITEM-MOVE_TYPE

Does it possible to block storage location for any movment
I know I have authorization object but it is required from me to change all roles
and to look for all transaction that make movment
Does there is a easy way just to block the storage location without delete it

Use Transaction Code MM06 to set a deletion flag for material at storage location level. This shall be done for all materials that have this storage location that can be found by checking the table MARD with SE16.
As well the message M7 127 from warning to error message (transaction OMCQ) must be changed
