Reg: sync doesn't show recent changes

Hi All,
I have been facing this issue since a while but never found a solution.
I am using NWDS 7.0.15
I have imported a DC long back to my workspace. After that it had undergone many changes and all those changes are checked in.
Actually now i am trying to get those changes reflected in my workspace. What i have done is, remove the DC in local disk (window>resource view>select the DC>delete>select delete with contents). Then i have removed the configuration form Inactive DC perspective (choose DC in Inactive DC's-->Remove). Then i had freshly imported the DC, and choose create proj, sync sources.
Again in webdynpro i have also done Reload+Rebuild. Then Dc Build. It is not showing me the recent changes.
Can somebody help me on this.

Hi Prasanthi,
Please try to delete particulate DC from your workspace and then try to import again from NWDI and create the project from inactibve DC and sync it. Now you can the new version of your DC

It's a work computer so I wanted to save them to my iTunes so I can access from another computer. Should I go to a home computer and just Import for best results? If so how do I do this? Also, why would I be synched with another library and how do I find out what this is? Very new/green user here

Finder doesn't show recent pictures anymore

My finder does not show pictures anymore that are imported in iTunes in the last months. What to do? This problem started some weeks ago.

Does iPhoto show them? If so, right click on a photo and select 'Show File'. This will open a finder window with the file highlighted.
If you want to access a file Drag and drop it to the Desktop, this will create a copy of the file there. Or you can use File -> Export, which will also create a copy.
Remember, iPhoto is a database, and like all databases is designed so that you access the data - in this case your pictures - via the application, not through the Finder.
It is strongly advised that you do not move, change or in anyway alter things in the iPhoto Library Folder as this can cause the application to fail and even lead to data loss
A Note about the iPhoto Library Folder in v6:
In this folder there are various files, which are the Library itself and some ancillary files. Then you have three folders
Originals are the photos as they were downloaded from your camera or scanner.
(ii) Modified contains edited pics, shots that you have cropped, rotated or changed in any way.
This allows the Photos -> Revert to Original command - very useful if you don't like the changes you've made.
(iii) Data holds the thumbnails the the app needs to show you the photos in the iPhoto Window.
Inside each of these folders there will be rolls arranged based on date.
If iPhoto doesn't show them, then they have not been successfully imported.

Apple TV not syncing, doesn't show volume...just changed

Itunes suddenly doesn't have the option to sync with my version 1 Apple TV, and i would rather sync pictures & music than stream, thoughts?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Your library has either been changed from a (primary) custom syncing library to an automatic syncing library or to a (secondary) streaming library. See this.
To revert to a custom syncing library from an automatic syncing library, simply check the 'Custom Sync' radio button under the summary tab in iTunes.
To revert to a primary library from a secondary library, disconnect from the Apple TV (Settings/Computers/Your_Library) and reconnect again (Settings/Computers/Connect_to_iTunes) - You will need to re-sync previously synced content.

Canvas/work area image gets stuck, doesn't show any changes made?

For some reason, if I minimize my Photoshop CS4 window for a few minutes and come back to it the canvas image I was working on is stuck for lack of better words. I change the zoom, doesn't do anything, although it shows at the top that I did in fact zoom to x%. Same for even using the brush to scribble, making layers invisible etc. Basically anything that changes what you see on the main canvas.
The only quickest way I have found to fix this is by dragging the tab of the project I'm working on out to show it in a window then dragging it back into the main working area again. This is clearly frustrating, has this happened to anyone else? Any idea of how to fix this? I couldn't find a single thing about this issue on Google.
The program itself doesn't even say not responding or anything at all, all menus open etc. so Photoshop itself isn't actually frozen, I'm baffled.
I'm running Photoshop CS4 (Extended) on Windows 7 32-bit Ultimate.

Sounds like you need a display driver update.
Go to the web site of the maker of your video card, and download and install their latest driver for your hardware.
That usually fixes this.
If it doesn't try disabling the OpenGL Drawing setting in Edit - Preferences - Performance.

Showing recent changes to a few pages

I have two sections in our company's Sharepoint site - one is Exchange Server Help Documents and the other is How-To Articles for staff. I'm trying to make a content rollup on the overall IT page to show what's changed recently, but am having no luck.
I've created a new web part by going to the main page (Information Technology) and selected Insert Web Part. I selected Content Rollup, then Content Query. Once I get in here I open the properties for the query and am lost. I select the
Content Query piece, then Properties. I select Show items from the following sites and all suibsites: /IT/ but don't know what the list type, content types, etc. should be. The pages are made just by adding pages in the built in editor, and
are basic web pages in the site.
Any help with this would be appreciated. I'm sure I'm just Googling the wrong term, but can't seem to hit the magic combo.

Hi clicker, don't worry about the content type, leave it on "all." Since you're referring to documents, for list type select "document library." Skip "Audience Targeting." For "Additional Filters," you want to set
that by choosing "Modified" for the filter. This will base the query by the date an item was last uploaded or modified. Then set your parameters for the time frame you want. EX: pick "is greater than" a date that's as far back as you want
to go for the last modified date.
With that said, that query web part is limited and fixed. You may want something a little more dynamic. In that case I'd suggest a third party tool like:

What to do when changes are made and refresh doesn't show the changes?

I'm new to SCSM and I have created some lists in authoring tool and when I go into console to edit them they are not showing up. Even after refresh. Also creating some new incident views for support groups are not showing up until I restart the Management
server. Is there a service or something I can restart that will make changes take affect faster?

the poster is editing in the console, so no MP import/export should be required, that being said, the console does do a lot of caching, so if you don't see something, you might need to restart the console.
you can restart the three or four Services marked "System Center", you should ge the same effect as restarting the server. that being said, restarting the server should not be required. if restarting the management services is really required,
then there is probably some performance issue with your database or some performance issue with your workflow (first) management group server.

Changed apple ID...phone doesn't show the change

I just changed my Apple ID to my new email address. My IPhone app for ITunes still shows the old one and will not accept the new one...says "that ID is already in use"....yeah, by me...any suggestions?

Have you logged out of the old ID in settings/itunes & app store? Tap on the ID there log out and log in with the new ID

Time Machine backup doesn't recognize recent changes 100%

I have an iMac and 2 external hard drives ("A" and "Time Machine" for purposes of this post).
I just updated my iMac and also A before running a manual Time Machine backup to "Time Machine".
What gets backed up via the Time Machine software to the physical hard drive "Time Machine" is my entire iMac and A. Nothing is excluded.
After the manual backup completed I opened my Time Machine hard drive icon and opened the folder "Latest" to review the new backup. I noticed a problem right away with the date/time stamps. When I open Latest I see 2 folders, A and iMac. The A folder is the problem in that I just put new files on A moments before I ran a manual backup however Time Machine is saying A hasn't been modified for the last month. The iMac folder date/time stamp however indicates that I just made changes to my iMac (which I did) pre-back up. And yes, I reviewed A to see that there are indeed new files there with today's date/time stamp info.
Thoughts?

First, do not access your backups via the Finder; use the Time Machine "Star Wars" display.
If that shows nothing on drive "A" has been backed up for a while, see #D5 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting

App Expose doesn't show recent items

Nor does dock right-click menu. "Open recent” menu works. I know this is isolated to my account because in others' it works.

On my computer removing com.apple.Preview.LSSharedFileList.plist does not prevent Preview to recreate it.
If you suspect there are some corrupted preferences files you can check that with
plutil -lint ~/Library/Preferences/*.plist
plutil -lint ~/Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences.plist

I changed an album title of a purchased song, but it won't show the change on my iPhone. What should I do?

I have terrible OCD, especially with my iTunes library. I buy all of my music on iTunes, but sometimes it shows an album title I'd like to change (mainly with albums that have the "EP" or "Single" in it). I change it and it shows up on my MacBook, but when I sync my iPhone 5, it doesn't show the change. I don't know what to do and this is bothering me very much. What can I do to fix this?

I had a similar issue and spoke to someone at Apple, who sent me this:
1. Sign out of iTunes on iPhone.
2. Put the iPhone in airplane mode
3. Delete the incorrectly named albums from the iPhone
4. Edit your album names in your iTunes library to what you want
5. Move the songs & albums from your iTunes library back to your iPhone
6. Disconnect
7. Turn off airplane mode
I've had some slight issues arising from it, but the original problem appears fixed.

COVER ART DOESN'T SHOW IN COVER FLOW

Just got the new ipod classic, 80gb.
Some of the cover art I synced doesn't show in cover flow. Instead of the blank musical note cover, it's just black, meaning it has content, but it just won't show.
But all the cover arts show perfectly in my itunes.

I've had this problem also. This problem usually happens when I update new artwork to the iPod. SOLUTION: Try deleting the entire album from the iPod, then re-transfer the whole album from iTunes with the new artwork. This solution has worked for me every time (so far). Best of luck.

You have to go to Settings>iCloud and tap Delete Account, then sign back in with your updated credentials. This deletes the account and your synced data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account and not changing to a different account, your data will be synced back to your device when you sign back in.

Grid view of books doesn't show everything - thus selective sync impossible

I have recently added a bunch of audio books to iTunes. However, only about half of them showed up in the grid view. Only after checking out the list view did I see that the books were actually in iTunes and just weren't shown.
This wouldn't be so bad if the selective synchronisation of books wasn't based on said grid view, with no possibility to change said view. Therefore, I have the choice between syncing all audio books, for which I do not have the space on my iPod, ignoring the ones the grid view doesn't show or deleting the ones I don't want synchronised and sync all others.
So, what do?

At a guess your "missing" books are simply organised as Music instead of Books - here's how to fix things...
Audiobooks
With iTunes 8.x or later you have the option to tell iTunes to treat any audio file as an audiobook. Simply select the tracks, *Get Info.*, then on the options tab set *Media kind* to Audiobook. You can also set options to *Remember playback position* and *Skip when shuffling*.
Assuming, however, that the books consist of more than one file you may have problems if you plan to listen to them on an iPod. The Audiobooks feature was originally designed for books that have been stitched up into a single file and hasn't been updated to reflect the changes that now make multi-track audiobooks easy to work with in iTunes. The main issue is that the iPod lists all audiobook files by track title/chapter name so unless you rename every track using a scheme such as *Book Title, Chapter XX* the tracks will play out of sequence. There are tools for creating iPod-friendly audiobooks for which Aldo on Audiobooks is probably the best reference. Personally I don't bother with the extra effort and just have an "Audiobooks" playlist folder containing sub-folders for each author and within these playlists for each audiobook. Although I still mark the files as Audiobooks to keep them out of my main music section when it comes to the iPod I ignore it's Audiobooks feature and use my own playlists for access.
Note that I've used leading digits in the playlist names to arrange these in chronological rather than alphabetical order.
