documentation suggests that if database if oracle 9i or later,then enhanced database monitor can be seen by using tcode ST04N..

Configure the tcode SCOT and SMTP for the SPM module in the R/3

I want to know if I have to configure the tcode SCOT and SMTP for the SPM module (SAP GRC AC 5.3 SP5) in the R/3 if I want to send information toe the owner & controller.

Pablo,
This would normally be a basis function. Be very careful as this is not specific to GRC.
This will impact any external notifications using email / fax etc.
It will also depend on your version and infrastructure.
If you have web application servers, you will be able to do a lot more than if you have standard (older) application servers.
You need to create a node under the INT and assign the appropriate tcp / ip rfc connection to direct it to your email server.
You will then need to define the types of communications to be sent via that method and any appropriate email domain settings.
You also need to create and set the appropriate send jobs to run periodically which will then automatically call the rfcs to process the waiting documents.

Here you can check diffrent types of buffer fill percentage.
Normally the value in swap column has to be looked.
swap upto 1000 can be ok after that you have to look that for buttleneck.Here you can restart the application server to make the buffer empty because some times the buffer area get fragmented. if swap happens regularly for some buffers then think of changing the parameter.
Below you can check for roll area,paging area and extended memory and heap.Check for used percentage.if extended memory used % is >= to in memory then there is buttleneck for
same.Extend the value if physical memory is available.Make sure there is no heap memory used.

Hi,
Support Packs are the upgrades we get for one release of SAP. For example, for component 4.7 you have support pack levels too (you can see this in transaction SPAM). SAP releases support packs for standard corrections which you can also implement separately through OSS notes (if you do not want the import the support pack). OSS notes might not carry all the changes that the SP might bring.
These are the two activities that an ABAPer does during upgrade:
1. SPDD: This is for data dictionary corrections. If any standard tables have been modified, then that object appears in the list and you have to adjust it again after comparing the versions.
2. SPAU: This is for repository objects (programs, functions, classes, etc.). These have to be compared to the previous versions too and any missing bespoke code is to re-inserted. However, there are a few cases where it need not.

(2) Using these transaction the sap prepare phase undertakes all these.
( (3) Then u might have to take the Combined and Unicode C process which is like combined upgrade and uniconverison as well.
(4) First step is to change all ABAP programs to Unicode enabled.
(5) You have to run a upgrade tool called SPUM4.
( (6) Then u have to do data maintainence consistency check etc.
(7) Actually all this is done automatically when you run SAPUP and sapprepare.
(8) Run SPDD and SPAU transaction for data dictionary correction and repositary.

Transaction SPDD allows you to process Data dictionary objects needing adjustment. You should be very careful while making/accepting the changes as the impact is more than changing the program. The delay in SPDD will delay the upgrade project. The time frame for SPDD is before downtime and SPDD is performed in sand box client
OSS note adjustment is also a part of SPDD, where we either reset the OSS note (It will come default with the upgrade version) or apply the OSS note (If OSS note is applicable for our release and if possible note should be applied using SNOTE.)
Transaction SPAU allows you to process Repository objects needing adjustment.
This task involves changing/accepting the SAP standard object brought in by SAP because of upgrade. We might wish to retain the changes from previous version in SAP standard object because of typical business scenario. SPAU comes after the downtime phase of upgrade and is carried in normal client.

We are using an external document image system where we scan and code vendor invoices. They are send to our SAP system via a BAPI.
We want to update the status of the invoice in the document image system from the status in the SAP system, so whether it is still open or has been paid and cleared. Is there a BAPI that gives the status information (and possibly more) of a specific vendor open item?

Are you sure about that? Several highly regarded, widely downloaded apps, e.g., eReader, have an option to hide the status bar. The developer forums are awash in discussions about the commands to hide the status bar-- it's built in to the SDK.
I figure someone will have put out a small program that does nothing but hide the status bar or allow its tweaking... much like StatusBar does on the Palm OS 5 PDAs...

Use the bookmarks library. You may use Shift +Click, and Ctrl + Click to create groupings of selected bookmarks to drag and drop.

Look into using the Loader class to load the swf files. If you want to have it happen in different frames then you can put the code into the different frames.

Select and Drag More Than One Photo

I can no longer select and drag more than one photo at a time. With one photo it works fine. If I select more than one, I can't move them, so I have to add pictures to albums one at a time, which is rather tedious.
This has only started happening recently. Possibly after updating to 10.6.8????

A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.

No. Office 2011 for Mac is coded to run with OS X. In order to work on the iPad the app must be coded for iOS instead.
If you look in the iTunes App Store, you will find that there are many apps that allow you to work with Office files on an iPad.

If you are running OS X Lion, then you can restart your computer and then press and hold the 'Option' key immediately after you hear the start up 'gong' (usually heard when grey screen shows as it restarts).
You should see at least two Disks to choose from. Choose 'Recovery Disk' and wait for it to load, then choose 'Disk Utility' option in the Utilities dialog.
Once Disk Utility loads, do the following:
1 - In the left hand pane, choose your system partition (usually called either 'Macintosh HD' or 'Macintosh SSD'). Note - don't choose the actual hard drive listed above the partition when using Disk Utility in OS X Lion as this doesn't offer options for repairing due to it including the Recovery Disk you have loaded in memory.
2 - Click the 'First Aid' tab
3 - Click the 'Repair Disk Permissions' button in lower portion of main pane and allow to complete. Ideally, you will get a final message in main pane saying Disk Permissions are repaired.
4 - At lower right of same pane, click the 'Repair Disk' button and allow to complete. Ideally, you will get a final message indicating that Disk Repair is completed and all appears to be good.
5 - Quit Disk Utility > Close Utilities dialog window > Click 'Restart' button (confirm as needed).
You should boot straight into the system partition when complete.
Note - any red text in the main pane text while running the repairs will be issues and you will need to follow the advice given or post back.
If you are running Snow Leopard; then (as David mentions) boot from your first OS X reinstall disc and run the Disk Utility the same way; except you select the actual hard drive listed at top of left pane (not the partition below it). This is because Snow Leopard does not use a 'Recovery Disk' partition and repairs can be run on the HD or SSD itself.

It's very possible that you have stuff running in the background that you don't even realize you have running. For example the default is for all notifications to be on and you usually need few to none of them.
That said, while an iPad can run warm, too hot to handle isn't right. ALso you should get about 10 hours....depending on what you're doing of course. If you're doing processor intensive stuff, like gaming and videos it can drain faster and generate more heat.
I would say if you have an apple store near by, make an appointment and have them check it out. If the issue is due to what they determine to be manufacturer's defects then it could fall under the warranty. But that's up to the store to determine.
