Hi,
I have to develop a PAYROLL interface for USA, which generates flat file on pc. My client said that the functionality of this transaction PU12 will satisfy their needs , so my job is to explore what it is doing. I went into this transaction but i couldn't understand this. Can anyone tell me what it is doing...

Have you read the SAP Documentation on this? Here's the link.

Refer to the section called <i><b>Interface Toolbox for Human Resources</b></i>.
That should give you a fair idea of what PU12 is all about.

REG : Transaction iview

Dear All,
We're having an issue with one of the iviews that was put into production recently for the ZMGRPP transaction. When we view the transaction through SAP and through the portal we see an a difference within the Status field. There should be a dropdown in this field, which does appear in SAP, but this dropdown does not show in the portal. The other field named as Reason column (directly to the right of the status column) has the same dropdown functionality but this displays correctly through the portal and SAP.

no its not like that...look if we see that transaction in SAP server then one field which is having dropdown is coming fine but when i have embedded that transaction in transaction iview and will check in portal by clicking its preview tehn dropdown for field didnt come.

Reg transaction So01

Hi Guus,
One of our user is not able to see EDI errors in this transaction? What priliminary steps should be taken. Whether this issue relate to basis team or can we ask user to do some modification on his system. it is citrix system user not able to see errors.

Question reg. transaction

Can you tell me how can I generate an idoc from FBE3 transaction?
For ex: for VA02, you goto header -> output -> and adjust output options there...
How do you do that with FBE3 transaction?

I don't think you can generate payment IDoc from either transaction FBE2/FBE3.
Please try this standard program RFFOALEI instead.

          if ur transaction is Va01,
    n u need to assign ur variant SHD0, while creating sales order- Va01,
u dont have to assign ur variant to VA01, instead of assign variant to
that specific document type.like OR in VOV8,
in transaction flow- last field " variant".
this will def clears ur query

Could u please send me the approach of the following issue.Recently i did a r&d reg transaction data field addition to the existing data source.Finally i come to know that i did a mistake.I did it as follows its an addition to sd billing data source(2LIS_13_VDITM).
My addition is its a value which gives Vertical %.
I did it as follows
1) I check DS at RSA6>2)Then i select it and enhance it>3)Then I go to CMOD.->4)i give the projname>5)i go to the user exit for t-data.then i enter in to the ABAP editor screen then i give some code--->6)Then i replicate it to BW.
But unfortunately i did not get the data .
Could U please give me the exact process of enhance ment for an existing DS.If any doc can u just mail to the following e-mail: [email protected]
And also one more issue can u just give me the brief idea abt V3 control update.

Interface for sending last changes with the format of theIDOC type HROT_USM

Hi guys.
Customer has asked me to create an interface which sends every day all records changed (for normal ITs: 0, 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 16, 40, 41 & 105) from the last execution. This information has to be send in a flat file with the same format of IDOC type HROT_USM with message type HROT_UM. I think I can use the standard report RPCEMDU0_CALL, check all segments with my code,found segments corresponding to the records changed today and save them in the flat file.
Do you know is there is any other way easier to do it?

Go to transaction PU12 and enter the interface format as OTMU for master data under the configuration tab and then click on display.
check if your requirement is met with that if not you can create your customer specific interface.
then use the below program to generate the file based on your requirement.

Download data from infotypes

Hi,
My client wants me to download all the data in infotypes(std and custom) from production client. Then they will migrate this data to their new system. What would be the approach for downloading?
1. Through SE16N (we are not authorized to use SE11/SE16)? But couldnt save the data to local file when we use se16n.
even i get se11 authorization -> we can download only 64,000 records in excel. Do i need to split? or any other way?
2. Write custom progms to download data from infotypes.
3. Any data migration tools ?
4. Basis can do client copy?

U can write a report to donwload data, but my preferde way is to use the hr toolbox (Transaction PU12), it's very simple to use .

Complete HR data migration

Dear experts,
we have a hr server for total enterprise structure. But as per business requirement we have a new server for 1 of our business. In this server we want to transfer entire data for corresponding employees only.
We have tried to transfer data from existing server to the new server.
We used ALE and a PFAL transaction to transfer the data.
We have succesfully transfered employee's master data like standard infotypes and Org details.
But the problem is we are not able to transfer Custom Infotypes and any Clusters like Payroll cluster, Time clusters, Claim Clusters,etc.
Can anyone please help me transferring this data.

HR Master data Outsourcing - US

Hi,
We are in process of generating an IDoc for HR master data distribution for ADAP.
SAP recommend procedure is via transaction PC00_M10_OTEM. This is a wrapper around the main transaction PU12, but is used specifically for master data distribution for US. This transaction code is supposed to be generating an IDoc -
IDoc Message Type: HROT_UM
IDoc basic type : HROT_USM.
However, when I follow SAP steps for this procedure, it generating an IDoc with only control segment and status segment. No data segment is generated at all.
Questions:
1. Has any one dealt with this issue before?
2. Are there any prequisites (either configuration or development) in order for this to be used.

Hi,
The transaction PC00_M10_OTEM works like this. It picks out only the last changed records from the previous data transfer. In case there are no changes, then it sends only those HD,KY and TR records as you had mentioned. But if you selecte "All data" option in the selction screen, then all the data for the employee w ill be picked and sent as an IDOC. You'll see all the segments as in PU12->OTMU populated in the IDOCs.

SAP/ADP Interface

Hi experts,
I was told to create an interface file between SAP and ADP. Searching the forums I found transaction PU12 to which contains the interface format for ADP. Also I found some reports that create files. But my question is where I can found the file format (or layout) that SAP generates to compare with the one that I have. It looks that ADP has a lot of different products.

You could also use IDoc to sent data to ADP through Change Pointers
or use PU12 toolbox
just for time data i wouldn't recommend it
