some clients are accessing that server using SAP GUI710,
at thae time using Web Dynpro Display layout there are recieving Page Expried page,because the function takes palce from localhost:8000,so it is unable to do that function.
if we chane Localhost into Ipaddress it may be work.
so kindly anybody can tell me where to change LOCALHOST in to IPADDRESS to do the Web Dynpro layout function.
Thanks & Regards,
Sudhakar N
As pointed out Adobe FlashIslands (which is a new UI element in NetWeaver 7.01) is what you want. Perhaps some additional links on the topic.

No, Frank was correct. Sybase Unwired Platform was renamed SAP Unwired Platform during the SAP - Sybase Media Day in August 2010. Although as it generally goes with renames within SAP, the old names die hard. -

Arunhi ,
Exit plugs have the special property that they use the defined URL parameter. After you have created the URL parameter in the parameter list on the Outbound Plugs tab page in the window editor, you can specify a value for this parameter in the method that calls the exit plug.

Reg : adobe in web dynpro
hi ,
I am working on Adobe Online Interactive Form using webdynpro for ABAP.
Steps followed for development:
In WD I have created a service call and added the bapi to create sale order.
Mapped the context from component controller to view controller.
From the view layout, I have configured the UI element properties.(data source, pdf source, onsubmit,templatesource etc.)
Inside the interactive form (ZCI type), I have binded all my UI element with the context elements that is displyed in data view.
and then
went to the layout of adobe form, in the menu Utilities->Insert web dynpro script.
i have a button in my view.
I put a break-point on the action handler method.
when i enter the data on adobe form and click the button on vuew...it is not going into debigging mode.
it is saying WAIT...and thats it,
can any one help plz.

Reg: Workflow in Web Dynpro ABAP
Dear Experts,
Im new to Workflow. I need some guidance in sending a smartform for approval to next level approver's workflow inbox, im using web dynpro abap when i click on approve button in web dynpro abap the smartform should move to next level approver inbox.
Regards
Arun.PHi Arun,
Here rather than using smart form, make use of INteractive adobe form.
This will disaply the required fileds of your amartform as well as buttons to approve o reject.
Do a little search on SDN and you will get plenty of examples to use adobe forms in web dynpro.
Once you have designed the adobe form, you can make use of SAP_WAPI* function modules to transfer data to workflow.
Hope this helps.

Reg:Performence Issue in Web Dynpro for Java.
Hi All,
I have used an so many RFC's(approx 50)RFC's as models in my web dynpro applications and i have called an RFC to fill the EVS which is present in my home view and the problem is RFC holds around 7000 records because of this my application is very slow down to load my View.So can any one provide me a solution how to increase the performence of loading my application.
Version of my NWDS is :2.0.19
Regards,
Mahesh Gupta Nuli.How you are calling the RFC's in your webdynpro.
don't load any RFC until it is required.
Generally people call all the RFC's at a time even though they are not required at that point of time.
There is nothing to do with portal. you need to optimize your webdynpro code.
Better post your query in WEbdynrpo java forum to get best answers.

Reg:Locking in Web Dynpro for JAVA.
Hi All,
When a user logged in the front end i am calling the lock function module(based on this locking mechanism is working) and when a user logged out i am calling the unlock function module(now the locked mechanism is getting unlocked).
now my problem is when a user closes the window abruptly without loging out,the unloeck mechanism should work at that particular instance.Please suggest me if this is possible or not in web dynpro for java.
Thanks,
Mahesh Nuli.Hi,
I will give you two different solutions, use whatever you think fits best for you.
First One:
Whenever you call your "LOCK" function module, do not disconnect the ModelInstance. Create a Locking method in Java which returns a "com.sap.tc.webdynpro.modelimpl.dynamicrfc.DynamicRFCModelClassExecutable" instance. It should look like this:
InputClass inputInstance..
node.bind(inputInstance);
inputInstance.execute();
if fails, return null;
otherwise, return your inputInstance;
Keep this inputInstance into some Context Attribute. Whenever you wanna "Unlock", you can disconnect this input from the backend system.
InputClass inputInstance = wdContext.getInputInstance();
inputInstance.modelInstance().disconnectIfAlive();
This will work for all the cases you are currently having problem. However, this solution holds one connection.
Second One:
Assuming your transaction runs in one View, you can set this View lifecyle to "when_visible" - Doing that, whenever you navigate "away" from this View the method wdDoExit of that ViewController will be executed.
In this appoach, you dont need to store any "InputClass" - You can perform your Lock and disconnect from the backend. In your wdDoExit method you can code a "Disconnect If Connected" method.
Use whatever fits best.

Reg : JA310 : Java Web Dynpro Release 640
Hello All,
I'm following the SAP's JA310 Java Web Dynpro Release 640 Documentation as part of my learning.
In this Documentation I found some examples in which it says to open an already existing project with a pre-defined structure.
I guess SAP may have provided some CD with solutions of the Exercises along with this documentation .
I don't have that CD.
If any of u guys have this then I request you to send the content of that CD to my Personnel mail id : <b>[email protected]</b>.
Thanks in advance for ur understanding.
Regards,
Deepu.KHi,
there is no solution CD for the JA310 course.
The mentioned "open an already existing project" describes the process
of importing the project while sitting in the class, having access to
the WTS-infrastructure of SAP during the course.

Reg: Login to Web Dynpro
Hi All,
Need some help. In my requirement i need to know the User Name who has logged into SAP ABAP WEBDYNPRO.
I mean i don't need the SAP Logon Details like generally we get them when we use SY-UNAME.
Please Provide me Portal Login Details. Any code or setting's related to it. Let me know is this possible.
Thanks,
Sandy.Hi Sandy,
You can get the portal logon details in your Web dynpro Application by passing application parameters from portal iView. check my article, [How to integrate WDA in portal and Capture Portal Log on details|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/008fc414-997f-2e10-3899-fd895ec8eb5e]

Reg Simple Web Dynpro Application
Hello Gurus,
I am developing a simple Web Dynpro Application that displays just Purchase Header Details.
It says the runtime Error, "The exception CX_WD_CONTEXT" was raised but was not caught at any stage in Call Hierarchy.
Any Suggestions would be rewarded.....
Regards
JayHi,
I have pasted the short dump....
===========================================================
Runtime Errors UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
Except. CX_WD_CONTEXT
Date and Time 27.02.2007 11:48:17
ShrtText
An exception that could not be caught occurred.
What happened?
The exception 'CX_WD_CONTEXT' was raised but was not caught at any stage in the
call hierarchy.
Since exceptions represent error situations, and since the system could
not react adequately to this error, the current program,
'CL_WDR_CONTEXT_NODE_VAL=======CP', had to
be terminated.
What can you do?
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
date.
is especially useful if you want to keep a particular message.
Error analysis
An exception occurred. This exception is dealt with in more detail below
. The exception, which is assinged to the class 'CX_WD_CONTEXT', was not
caught,
which led to a runtime error.
The reason for this exception is:
Die Anzahl der Elemente der Kollektion des Knotens INDEX.1.EKKO_ITAB verletzt
die Kardinalität.
How to correct the error
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
use the following search criteria:
"UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION" CX_WD_CONTEXTC
"CL_WDR_CONTEXT_NODE_VAL=======CP" or "CL_WDR_CONTEXT_NODE_VAL=======CM001"
"CHECK_COLLECTION"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and you wish to send
an error message to SAP, include the following documents:
1. A printout of the problem description (short dump)
To obtain this, select in the current display "System->List->
Save->Local File (unconverted)".
2. A suitable printout of the system log
To obtain this, call the system log through transaction SM21.
Limit the time interval to 10 minutes before and 5 minutes
after the short dump. In the display, then select the function
"System->List->Save->Local File (unconverted)".
3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
supply the source code.
To do this, select the Editor function "Further Utilities->
Upload/Download->Download".
4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
or which actions and input led to the error.

Hi All,
I have a View which has Tabstrip UI. The TabStrip contains 4 tabs and each tab has a view in it.
I want to print the View.
I was going through a few threads on Web Dynpro form printing. One of options available is using createExternalWindow method. Can anyone tell me what can be the URL of View 1 which is embedded in Window1.
Regards
Nikhil BansalHi Nikhil,
If it is default View, then the URL is your apllication URL [what you get in the browser after <i>deployment and run</i>].

Pushbutton Problem in web dynpro
hi there,
i have a sap standard web dynpro. in the portal i have the UI elements tree to personalize the dynpro.
there is a part where i have 2 push-buttons:
Pushbutton 1
Pushbotton 2
by default Pushbutton 1 is activated. Now i want to hide Pushbutton 1 for the user. So far so good, i can do it in the UI elements tree and change it.
The Pushbutton 1 now is hidden. BUT: i want to have Pushbutton 2 activated automaticly. Now the pusbutton is not 'ON'.
how can i achive this with the UI elements tree control in Portal. I am NOT a JAVA-developer, i have no idea about web dynpro, i am coming from abap side. so i DON'T want to modify the web dynpro.....i need a way to do it with the personalization function in portal.
reg, MartinHi,
I assume that your requirement is to show one button at a time button1 or button2.
create 2 context attribute of type Visibility under uielementdefinition.
bind one of the context to button1's visibility property and the other to the button2's visibility property.
Now, in your code as per your condition, you can set the visibility as
wdContext.currentContextElement().set<visible1>(WDVisibility.VISIBLE);//To Show
wdContext.currentContextElement().set<visible1>(WDVisibility.NONE);//To Hide
