in that scenario if it possible to establish the connection witout using the XI?

No,in this scenario it is not possible to establish the connection without using the XI.Here the use of XI is to act as middleware,if you don`t want to use XI then you have to use someother middleware in place of XI to interact with an SAP system.
may be if you are using webservices the middleware is not required.

Yes you can write script and control the channels externally like give start or stop command at your specified requirement time.

in PI7.1 all of the above and WS for Web Service Reliable Messaging is also available.........

Reg SFTP Communication channel

Hello Fellow Consultants,
I have a situation here where in a folder there are 2 different file names Eg: v110-prod- chennai1PS & v110-prod-chennai9PS, now i want to know if can pick these 2 files with One SFTP sender communication channel.
I know this can be done with FTP with masking and stuff but i want to know if there is anyother way to do with Single sender SFTP Cc else i have to configure with Two Sftp channels

Hi,
From single file adapter(1 communication channel) you can read multiple files.
Just use special charater in the file name scheme and activate the adapter specific parameters
Note: The internal structure of the files should be same

XI configurator authorizaton without communication channels

I have a customer that would like to give full access to the Integration Directory for XI developers with one exception: prevent access to the communication channels. Is this possible using authorization roles/profiles?

the following eror is the main reason why your installation won't continue:
MaxDB sdbuninst: found instance J2E
MaxDB sdbuninst: cannot remove package "Database Kernel": first you have to remove all instances
That means you already/still have an exisisting MaxDB instance on your laptop, which has not been removed totally yet.
If you have access to OSS, please take a look at note 599129:
You must stop and delete all database instances that were installed with
the software package to be deleted.
1. Identify the database instances (there is usually only one database
    instance).
    Use the following command:
    dbmcli db_enum
2. Stop all database instances for which the <dependent_path> directory
    to be deleted is displayed using the following command:
    dbmcli -d <database_name> -u <dbm_user>,<password> db_offline
3. Delete the database instances using the following command:
    dbmcli -d <database_name> -u <dbm_user>,<password> db_drop
4. If you are sure no other MaxDB instances should exist on the machine <b>and</b> no other MaxDB software packages should exist either, then you'd have to perform a complete uninstallation of the SAP DB or MaxDB software.
To uninstall the complete SAP DB or MaxDB software, enter the
following command:
   sdbuninst -all
5. You should be able to (re)install your sneak preview SAP NW2004S afterwards.

Communication chaneel error

Hi Experts,
My scenario is FileRFCFile Syncrinous. All the files being picked up from output tray by the Sender file CC.
and because of one error file suddenly Sender File CC is not picking remaining all the files in the tray. even after deleting the error file and after stopping and starting the Sender File CC, the new files came in the tray are not getting picked up.
kindly advice me how to resolve the issue.

and Error code : CALL_CONSUMER_ERROR
Earlier somany times i got the same issue and by deleting the error file and restarting the Sender file CC by start and stop, the files has been picked up. But now the file adapter not picking the new files and it is persisting the old messsage id only which was for the error file.

Without Fireworks, our productivity goes down 30%

I hope you read this Adobe, though I assume you won't. Over a year ago, before we upgraded to Creative Cloud, a customer service representative assured me through chat that Fireworks wasn't going anywhere after I had read some news that it was being discontinued. I later found out their reassurance was false.
Fireworks is easily 30% more efficient than Photoshop for the type of work we do, which involves designing display advertisements in jpg and gif format. This means my personnel costs go up 30%. This hurts our company. Fireworks is a super efficient tool, not just for display ads but for rapid prototyping of websites and even vector elements. While Photoshop and Illustrator may be more versatile overall, Fireworks is still faster. Because Illustrator and Photoshop are so versatile, they are also bloated and less intuitive. Sometimes it takes several more clicks to accomplish the same task.
I am glad you finally took the subscription route with Creative Cloud. Too many times I became frustrated being forced to shell out huge sums of money since previous versions of your software broke with OS updates (i.e. half my fonts stopped working in Fireworks with no fix from Adobe even though a multitude were discussing the problem). No wonder so many people pirate your software. Why shell out $1000 when a year later your OS update will break the software? So in order to "adjust" to piracy, I assume you justified these high prices, which in turn created more piracy. Creative Cloud... one point for Adobe.
Now Fireworks is breaking because you stopped supporting it, and I can't say I'm surprised. In fact, with each update of Creative Cloud, a new feature seems to be broken. We can't get animated gifs to stop looping forever. The intuitive click on fill then choose a color eye dropper tool that allowed you to grab colors off canvas now chooses the wrong shade. Kerning is less consistent. I assume more will break, but I'm hanging on, because even with numerous bugs it is STILL more efficient than Photoshop for what we do.
The primary reason Fireworks didn't take off is because too many people just didn't know about its strengths, including Adobe. Adobe undervalued their acquisition of Macromedia's intellectual property and overvalued their own intellectual property. For this reason it wasn't promoted properly, and people doing work better suited to Fireworks chose Photoshop instead, simply because they didn't know that Fireworks was the best tool for the job. Now Adobe thinks Photoshop is a suitable alternative. It isn't.
I really hope you have some alternative lean, mean intuitive app in the works that serves as an alternative to Fireworks. If not I'm going to be very disappointed, and eagerly awaiting a newcomer in the design software industry that can do it right. Your customer service is terrible. I couldn't even find an email address to send this to. I'm assuming this is just going into the void and will never be read. How can you possibly know your audience without communicating with them? Or at least, when you do communicate with them, make sure your customer service reps are correct with their answers.

It turns out the looping error is a Mac finder rendering issue. In the browsers the looping is functioning properly. But there have been numerous little glitches showing up that have impeded the efficiency and quality of the application. For example, I use to be able to click on an object behind a transparent fill, outlined vector object with the regular select arrow. Now I have to use select behind or ungroup the vector object to do so. I've also noticed some strange color inaccuracies that I didn't use to experience. Some bitmaps lack the saturation they carry in other applications and I have to do color adjustment as a result. Anti-aliasing on the lasso select tool is also not as smooth. Thankfully after several months Adobe fixed the "file not found" error every time I exported.
Also, despite what I said in my first post, I'd be perfectly happy "owning" the software instead of subscribing, but since there was just about zero bug fixes for anything prior to the current version, subscribing becomes a better solution than being forced to upgrade due to unworkable errors (if you'd upgrade anyway within 2-3 years time.) It was very disconcerting to me how a software company could charge as much as Adobe has and not continue to fix bugs in past versions. In my opinion, any version of software should have major bug fixes performed for 5 years if possible. Once a new version of Creative Suite came out, it seemed like the last version of Fireworks was completely ignored for bug fixes, no matter how loud the community screamed. Why? I'm guessing because they have no real competition for their users to crawl to. It's basically a monopoly, and the disconnect with users, to me, carries the energy of a GM or Microsoft type entity. I would not be surprised if we see some viable alternatives come in the form of ultra-efficient and inspired start-ups. We need a Tesla of design software, not to replace Adobe necessarily, but to give them some incentive to improve customer satisfaction and innovation.

FSCM via WS-RM (without PI) HTTP message errors

I am using ECC 6 ehp 5 which enables you to implement FSCM services via WS-RM (Web Service Reliable Messaging) instead of previously having to use PI. I have gone through SOAMANAGER and created the both the service and consumer proxy as per the SAP guide u2018SAP Financial Supply Chain Management Delta Information SAP Credit Management Enhancement Package 5 for ERP 6.0u2019 but when they get triggered I get firstly status scheduled then when I try and release them from the queue they go into error with the message u2018HTTP response contains status code 401 with the description Unauthorizedu2019
When I look at the long text (in German) in the SOAP message via SXMB_MONI a translation of the error to English is
u201CLogin failed
What has happened?
Calling the URL http://<our PI instance>:8000/sap/xi/engine was canceled due to bad credentials. u201C
Can anyone help as it seem strange that it should be trying to call PI when specifically the guide I followed is all about making use of EHP5 functionality to not need PI because both the provider and the consumer are on the same box, ECC.
Additonal Infomation:
The service was set up for CreditCommitmentNotification_In . The endpoint was created without communication security and Transport channel Authentication was set as UserID/Passowrd
The consumer proxy was for CreditCommitmentNotification_Out. And the logical port with reference tot he WSDL for the service was created.

I wanted to follow this tutorial with the USRP 2932, which will arrive soon, but I later found out that I don't seem to have any of the LabVIEW Communications. Will not having those prevent me from using the USRP radio? If not, then are there any restrictions on what I can do with the radio without Communications?

The link to the tutorial that you posted is based on LabVIEW Communications System Design Suite, a new software environment designed to accelerate algorithm prototyping and over the air testing. It is a completely separate and independent environment from LabVIEW. See my post here for more details. You can also download a free 30 day evaluation copy here. Your hardware is supported with both LabVIEW and LabVIEW Communications.
The NI 2932 is a network based USRP, and it has a small onboard FPGA. Because of that, the FPGA on that specific product is not a LabVIEW FPGA target. The NI 294x/5x family has a large Kintex 7 FPGA and can be programmed using LabVIEW FPGA or LabVIEW Communications, like in the tutorial that you posted. The NI 2932 can be used with your host PC and LabVIEW for a wide variety of applications. Unfortunately the tutorial that you linked in your post requires the NI 294x/5x hardware and LabVIEW Communications. If you have questions about a specific application for your 2932, please post more details and we would be happy to help.

Does Portal Server 6 require Communications Express?

I undertsand that the OS stated in the doc is solaris 9 but I would like to use solaris 10 or red hat 3. AFAIK all the components are supported by these platforms except communications express which is solaris 9 and red hat 2.
My question is can I integrate messaging, calendar and instant messaging server with portal server without communications express? And I dont understand why all the components work for solaris 10 and red hat 3 except one.

Just my 2 cents here on installing portal server and messaging.
I don't reccommend putting both on the same machine. The Portal Server is quite complex (messaging server is simple by comparison) and you can easily mis-configure Portal Server and lock yourself out of its admin console (I've done it). My PS LDAP has 3200 entries and that's just a base install with NO user data and the sample desktop configured. Keep in mind, the desktop XML is stored in the LDAP, some of those attributes have nearly 2000 lines of data.
I strongly reccommend using Solaris 10 zones for PS. It is great. take a UFS dump at key points, make a mistake, reload in 20 minutes. I've reloaded/rebuilt my PS zone at least 10 times since I started playing with PS 2005Q1. You could put messaging into a seperate zone on the same machine. It just makes life easier.

N8 Communicator and Anna Update

Having done the full Anna update - 1.1, 2.1, 2.2 - I decided that I didn't need Communicator and as it seemed to be very big, I de-installed it. Next time I connected to Nokia Ovi Suite I was informed that I needed an update 2.2. Now I believe that this is the update that installs Communicator, plus a pile of other things. Presumably de-installing Communicator has somehow signaled that I don't have 2.2 - but I do - just without Communicator which I don't want. If I accept the update, the Communicator is re-installed. If I don't accept and update, it stays there and tells me every time I connect via Nokia Ovi Suite.
Is Communicator mandatory (thanks Nokia/Microsoft ....?).
Can I get rid of the update message, without re-installing 2.2 and ending up with Communicator anyway?
Do I see the end of us deciding what runs on our phones and what doesn't?

The question was not "how do I uninstall communicator" but why, having uninstalled it, Nokia continues to try and force me to re-implement update Anna 2.2, which just re-installs it. In other words, it seems that just uninstalling Communicator on my phone (and that is all I did) causes Nokia to say I need to install update Anna 2.2 again, which I have already installed. If, as I tried, I accept the installation of Anna 2.2 as suggested by Ovi Suite, all it does is re-install Communicator ....! Therefore I am left with a phone that Nokia Ovi Suite says needs an update, with no way for me to say "No, I don't want it thankyou." Presumably it will keep telling me this forever, as I have no intention of installing it again, and ending up with a program I don't want on my phone. What I object to, is that I have no way of getting rid of it - it seems to be mandatory - "unistall Communicator and we will keep pestering you until you re-install it, matey".

MODBUS-RTU connection with aleatory VISA communication fails

Hi everyone,
I have a big problem that I'm trying to repair since a pair of months. I have a MODBUS gateway connected to my pc via RS-485 in RTU mode. The physical implementation is based on Ethernet cable, so I have two connection converters in both endings of the Ethernet cable that wire each line to its corresponding terminal in a RS-485 connector. On the side of the PC i also have an electronic card to convert RS-485 to USB for connect using a USB port for pc's connection. That card is the model USB-COM485-PLUS1 from the company FTDI chip. I have installed on my PC the drivers of the card that configure a virtual COM serial port for my RS-485 communication. On labview I have programmed my interface for communication using a MODBUS library that was installed previously on my PC (I am using my company PC, because i have this problem on my workplace).
The problem is that, usually, my system works correctly, and the communication is perfect. I read always the holding registers of my gateway, and i can write the control registers without problems, but, some times, the connection spend more time without communication that reading, and after some hours in that conditions, it fall in continuous fail and doesn't work any more since the next day. That problems persists even if i restart the PC or shut it down for a while. By the other side, I realized that when the communication falls it only fall on the reading wire, because even if the reading communication is with continuous fail, i can write on the corresponding registers of my gateway.
I'm sure at 80% that the gateway runs correctly, and I have other installation similar with the same gateway, cable, connections and card working correctly. I tried changing the Ethernet cable, changing the RS-485 to USB conversion card and only when i changed my PC, the problem disappears. So I thought it was a problem of the PC. But some time after I changed the PC, the problem returned. After this, I continue making probes and actually I have the theory that it may be a problem because i have other communications running at the same time in my labVIEW app. I think it may be a problem of incompatibility of drivers or a bridge over different communications that make it fail. Because the pc's where this error disappear has not installed NI RIO drivers.
My LabVIEW program also have a communication via Ethernet with a NI cRIO 9076 chassis. That chassis has a module for PROFIBUS communication, also has a module for thermocouple inputs, a module for voltage inputs and other for voltage outputs. All this modules work correctly always. My theory is that some of this other modules in NI cRIO 9076 chassis may cause a conflict that make my system works wrong. Other things that seems me annoying is that i bought recently a new conversion card for RS-485 to USB connection and it doesn't works on my system, I have other two identical cards and they work correctly, and i know that the new card works also in other systems i have.
The issue I don't understand is that this problem doesn't happend many times and it seems to be aleatory... The fail that the labVIEW return when it can not read the holding registers is a timeout error because of a frame error. It would be illuminating for me if that error where periodic or systematic, but occurs only a day every two or three weeks and the rest of time works properly. But on my company, when this installation will work continuously, it can't have any day of non-work.
So, please, I need help with this Issue, I'm lost int he way of resolving it. Thanks only for read this large post.

First of all, thanks for your quick reply.
I had the USB port save power mode enabled. I have disabled it. Actually my system works correctly so I can't know if the problem has been solved, but i have a new converter card for RS-485 to USB and it doesn't works, i have other two that work properly but the new only writes, just like when i have the problem commented. So, I think that if i solve the problem with the new card, i can be sure that I will have solved my connection problem. The new card is configured with the same options that the others, except by the port number, i configured COM 3, COM 4 and COM 5 respectively.
By the other side, when I said that I think cRIO interferes in MODBUS communication I mean that the only things that changes in PC's that correct the problem are that they have not installed the FPGA module or the RIO drivers. And once i changed my PC, the problem was solved since I installed this module and drivers, moment when the problem reappeared.
