Reg : workflow definition not defined

Hi ,
     I find issue with activating a custom workflow which i used before . Though it does not show any error in the templete,I could not activate them .When i diagonised the workflow it showed "Theworkflow definition is not defined " I had done done buffer refresh but still could not resolve. Please advice.
Regards,
Buddy.

Hello KumarShankar !
           Please check whether the version overview does show active version.
           If not, execute the function module SWD_WFD_REPLICATE_FROM_9999.In doing so, pass the workflow id to the import parameter IM_TASK in the format WSxxxxxxxx followed by refresh workflow buffers at SWU_OBUF transaction.

  • Error in WS14000075: Workflow definition '' not in version ''

    Hi,
    We are getting the following error on our SRM 5.0 system while trying to approve the PO with 0step approval workflow: (in swud after running a consistency check on the workflow WS14000075)
    E WD:401 Workflow definition '' not in version ''
    We have already checked OSS Note 962488 and it did not resolve our problem. Besides we had a look at the forum Workflow without approval not working
    Awaiting your help

    Hi Emre,
    In our case the problem was in several confirmation standard workflows.
    In the workflow builder (SWDD) we use the navigation Area to check every workflow. I mean we did double click in each step, if the step had a subworkflow, then we open the subworhflow, checked it, and if it appeared the same error we used the function module for the subworkflow.
    In this way we achieved to solve the problem. I hope this helps you.

  • Workflow definition not activated

    Hi,
    after transporting a workflow from DEV to QUA environment I get the following error message in transaction SWU0:
    "Workflow definition not activated"
    How can I solve the problem?
    Thank you.
    //Elvez

    Hi,
    Looks like your workflow template that is transported is not active. Check the workflow status in the Information Area on the top left in SWDD (below the wokflow template id). It shud be "Active, Saved". If it something else click on the "Activate" button.
    I am not sure if you are allowed to do this directly in Quality. If not allowed try creating the WF template in a new request and try transporting again (U might get one more version generated in quality but this might solve your problem)
    Thanks,

  • UWL displaying workflow NOT defined in the XML

    Can someone tell me why/how some workflows are displaying in UWL even though the workflows are not defined in the XML file?

    Hi Daniel,
    This is the case for many "legacy" workflows launching SAP(Web)GUI transactions or BSPs.
    It works like this: if the UWL cannot find a corresponding task type for an arriving work item from Business Workflow in its XML configuration, it assigns the task type "uwl.webflow.default". In the standard uwl xml file you can see that tasks of this type are launched using the SAPTransactionLauncher (not specifying the TransactionCode parameter).
    As you can see in the documentation (https://help.sap.com/javadocs/NW04S/SPS09/uw/com/sap/netweaver/bc/uwl/config/doc-files/ActionHandlers.html), if the TransactionCode is empty, the action handler defaults to the Business Workflow transaction "SWK1". This transaction (the UWL is now out of the picture) just redirects to the target transactions defined in the workflow itself.
    Any matching entry in the UWL XML configuration will however override this default behavior.
    Good question though. Hope this clarifies it to some extend...
    Best,
    Matthias

  • Transaction code not defined - Reg

    Hi ,
    I have copied the program  RKAEP000 ( of transaction KSB1) into ZRKAEP000. I have assigned to new transaction to the program ZRKAEP000 and screen no :0100 .
    When I try to exicute the tranction system  is throwing below message .
                                     'Transaction code not defined'
    Can you please let me know if i miss any process.
    I am getting the same error when i try to exicute the program RKAEP000 from se38 .
    Thanks in advace,
    Regards,
    Jagadeshwar.G

    Hi Jagadeshwar ,
    Program RKAEP000 uses a function module , K_LINE_ITEM_LOGICAL_KEY_GET.
    This fm has input as tcode name... and you are getting error in your program because this FM is fixed for only few tcodes....that is few T codes are hard coded in this FM
    the code for that FM is as follows:
      CASE I_TCODE.
    documents
        WHEN 'KSB5'.
          E_ITEM_GROUP = CON_ITEM_GROUP-COST_ACTUAL.
          E_REP_OBJECT = CON_REP_OBJECT-DOCUMENTS.
        WHEN 'KABP'.
          E_ITEM_GROUP = CON_ITEM_GROUP-COST_PLAN.
          E_REP_OBJECT = CON_REP_OBJECT-DOCUMENTS.
    cost centers
        WHEN 'KSB1'.
          E_ITEM_GROUP = CON_ITEM_GROUP-COST_ACTUAL.
          E_REP_OBJECT = OBJEKTART_KS.
        WHEN 'KSBP'..........................................
    and so on.----
    So when u give ur tcode.... it is goin to give error.
    you need to copy this FM and make modification for your req.

  • How to run Assignment in Series - Workflow can not connect two Assignments

    Here is my scenario:
    I have a custom repository with no Taxanomy table.
    I want to run series of Assignments.
    I defined 5 assignments.
    Thought that I can use MDM Workflow to call them in series. However MDM Workflow does not let me connect one Assignmen Task to next Assignment Task.
    How to run Assignments in Series, either using Workflow or by using someother mechanism.
    Idealy it could have been nice to Group the Assignments like Validation.
    Or even Much better powerful Assignment and Validation Script. Add "Script Documentation" to that please.
    Thanks,
    Abhay

    I tested with 2 assignments.
    I created 2 assignments.
    My workflow definition has a Start, Assign1, Assign2, Stop.
    Start -> Assign1
    Assign1 -> Assign2
    Assign2-> Assign3
    They are connected in Series.
    Make sure all the steps are connected properly.
    I executed the workflow and the two fields in the table got the assigned values as the result of the workflow.
    Check the version of your Data Manager. The DataManager I used to test this is of version 5.5.34.26.
    A single workflow should suffice for your requirements.
    However, there is a workaround for this.
    You create 5 workflows each with a single assingment step.
    For the <b>Stop Step</b> in the Workflow you have <b>Launch</b> Property.
    In this case, for workflow1 you set the launch property to Workflow2.
    For workflow2 set the launch property as workflow3.
    This way you are calling separate workflows sequentially.

  • Workflow - Workflow Definitions Loader request - no parameters

    Hi,
    I'm trying to execute the Workflow Definitions Loader from within Oracle Financials. I logged in SYSADMIN/SYSADMIN and the concurrent request does not request parameters. I went to the menu : Navigate to > Concurrent > Program > Define....no parameters are setup.
    Does anyone know what parameters need to be setup and how.
    best regards, Sotos

    From the Workflow Guide for Embedded Workflow:
    the parameters you need are MODE, FILE, ITEM_TYPE
    As follows:
    To run the Workflow Definitions Loader for the version of Oracle Workflow embedded in Oracle Applications
    1. Navigate to the Submit Requests form in Oracle Applications to submit the Workflow Definitions Loader concurrent program. When you install and set up Oracle Applications and Oracle Workflow, your system administrator needs to add this concurrent program to a request security group for the responsibility that you want to run this program from. See: Overview of Concurrent Programs and Requests, Oracle Applications System Administrator's Guide.
    2. Submit the Workflow Definitions Loader concurrent program as a request. See: Submitting a Request, Oracle Applications User's Guide.
    3. In the Parameters window, enter values for the following parameters:
    Mode Specify "Download" to download a process definition from the database to a flat file.
    Specify "Upgrade" to apply a seed data upgrade to a database from an input file. The Workflow Definitions Loader assumes the access level of the file's creator (seed data provider) and overwrites any objects protected at a level equal to or above the upgrade file's access level. The Loader program preserves any customizations made to customizable seed data in the database.
    Specify "Upload" to load a process definition from a flat file into the database. The upload mode is useful to someone who is developing a workflow process. It allows the developer to save definitions to the database without concern that accidental customizations to existing objects might prevent the upload of some process definition elements. The Workflow Definitions Loader uses the access level defined by the input file to upload the process definitions from the file and therefore will overwrite objects in the database that are protected at a level equal to or higher than that file's access level.
    Specify "Force" to force an upload of the process definitions from an input file to a database regardless of an object's protection level You should be certain that the process definition in the file is correct as it overwrites the entire process stored in the database. The Force mode is useful for fixing data integrity problems in a database with a known, reliable file backup.
    File Specify the full path and name of the file that you want to download a process definition to, or upgrade or upload a process definition from.
    Item Type If you set Mode to "Download", use the List button to choose the item type for the process definition you want to download.
    Note: When you submit the Workflow Definitions Loader from the Submit Requests form to download process definitions to a file, you can only specify to download one item type at a time. If you wish to download multiple or all item types simultaneously, you should submit the Workflow Definitions Loader concurrent program from the command line. See Step 6 below for details.
    4. Choose OK to close the Parameters window.
    5. When you finish modifying the print and run options for this request, choose Submit to submit the request.
    6. Rather than use the Submit Requests form, you can also run the Workflow Definitions Loader concurrent program from the command line by entering the following commands:
    To upgrade-- WFLOAD apps/pwd 0 Y UPGRADE file.wft
    To upload-- WFLOAD apps/pwd 0 Y UPLOAD file.wft
    To force-- WFLOAD apps/pwd 0 Y FORCE file.wft
    To download-- WFLOAD apps/pwd 0 Y DOWNLOAD file.wft ITEMTYPE1 [ITEMTYPE2 ...ITEMTYPEN]
    Replace apps/pwd with username and password to the APPS schema, replace file.wft with the file specification of a workflow process definition file, and replace ITEMTYPE1, ITEMTYPE2, ... ITEMTYPEN with the one or more item type(s) you want to download. You can also download all item types simultaneously by replacing ITEMTYPE1 with '*' (make sure you enclose the asterisk in single quotes).
    A file specification is specified as:
              @<application_short_name>:[<dir>/.../]file.ext
    or
              <native path>

  • Why would I get ReferenceError #1065: "Variable title is not defined."

    Well of course it's not defined.  It's a dynamic class, and strict mode compilation is turned off so that I don't have to declare the property to compile it.
    I've created a library item named "Page" with a single TextField instance named "title".
    Page's class is defined in an ActionScript file, and it's assigned to the library item in export for ActionScript.
    Page's ActionScript file defines the class as a "dynamic" class, so I should not be getting this runtime error.  I turned off strict mode compiling, since it seems to be designed to check the presense of property definitions at compile time for dynamic classes like MovieClip.
    public dynamic class Page extends MovieClip
        public function Page()
            super();
            var text:String = title.text; //title can be moused over in the debugger here and shows the correct value, but the flash player throws a runtime error when it tries to access it, but it shouldn't because this is a dynamic class.
    So why am I getting a runtime error for the field "title".  It makes no sense, because if I step to that line in the FlashDevelop debugger and hold the mouse over "title", it shows that it is in fact the instance of the TextField that I'm trying to access.  Yet the player throws an error when I actually try to access it.
    Is it a problem or limitation with the access style (i.e. would it work fine if I accessed it as "this.title" or "this["title"]"?

    Nevermind.  This was apparently a browser caching issue.   The Page base class is defined in the main interface swf, and is externally referenced through its swc in an external "lesson" file that declare a subclass of Page.  It was this custom subclass of Page which was throwing the error (basically the same as the simplified example I wrote for my post, where it simply tried to access "title" as a dynamic property of the Page).  What happened is the browser was caching an old version of the lesson file with the old definition of the class that was not declared as dynamic.  I had received the error before, then updated the class, then I was surprised to see the error persist.  It suddenly dawned on me that the browser was probably caching the old version, so I cleared the cache and it seems to work fine now.
    Actually, it is a problem after all.  I forgot I had updated it to use "this.title" syntax on the page I tested after clearing the cache, but the other pages that try to access title directly as "title" still throw the error.  So it seems to be some sort of quirk in how flash accesses properties of a dynamic class.  If you try to access them direclty, it must do so in a way that requires the property to be defined, but if you access it via "this.title" or this["title"], the it seems to resolve the property value without throwing the error.
    This sucks.  I was really trying to not have to write "this." for every property.  The entire display list is dynamically generated from some custom XML that allows me to call constructors and set complex type-safe properties, and during construction it was copying each item into a Dictionary by name.  This Dictionary was then assigned to the page class as "items", so I was accessing each display object as "item.name".  Then I got the brilliant idea of just making Page and its subclasses "dynamic" so that I could just add the DIctionary values on the Page instance itself.  I thought I would be able to access the dyamic properties just by their name such as "title", but lo and behold, Flash strikes again, and I have to use dot notation anyway.  What do you all think?  Any solutions?

  • VERSION 0 IS NOT DEFINED FOR FISACL YEAR 2007,

    i am learning SAP PP and i hv ides 4.7,
    now WHEN SAVING ORDER i.e DURING COST CALCULATION I GET A MESSAGE THAT VERSION 0 IS NOT DEFINED FOR FISACL YEAR 2007,
    ON ANALYSING IT LEADS TO T.CODE OKEV BUT HERE SYSTEM DOES NOT PERMIT TO CHANGE THE VERSION, BUT IN ECC 5.0 IT ALLOWS ,
    WHAT IS THE PROBLEM, CAN ANY ONE PL. HELP ME,
    analysis of error gives following message:
    Activation of the indicator is not permitted
    Message no. KT253
    Diagnosis
    You activated an indicator (Plan, Actual, WIP/results analysis or Variance calculation ) in the basic settings for version 1 in controlling area 1000. However, a higher order of settings (general version definition) prevents you from setting this indicator in version 1.
    Note
    The following should be taken into account when maintaining a version:
    In general version definition you decide whether a version is allowed for
    •     Panning (with the Plan indicator)
    •     Actual data update (with the Actual indicator)
    Note: In Overhead Cost Controlling, actual data is updated in operational version 0.
    Actual versions different from 0 are found at present only for delta versions in Activity Based Costing (CO-ABC), and when you work with parallel assesment ( additional versions):
    •     A data version from results and WIP determination manages (indicator WIP)
    •     Another version from variance determination manages (indicator Variance)
    •     A version for exclusive use (field exclusive application)
    You must maintain the version basic settings for each controlling area in which you want to update transaction data. General version definition restricts the settings possible for the controlling area:
    •     If general version definition does not allow plan and/or actual data update for version, this applies to the version in all controlling areas. If plan and/or actual data updating is allowed for a version in general definition, this can be reset for each controlling area separately (unmark the plan or actual indicator).
    •     Delta versions in ABC may not be used for parallel valuations in the actual; the same goes for versions with exclusive applications. In both cases, the valuation fields may not be maintained.
    To set indicators WIP/Results- or Variance-determination the following conditions apply:
    •     Both indicators may be set only during setup for the controlling area, when they are already established in the higher level general version definition
    •     If either indicator is already active in the data bank, then the actual indicator may not be subsequently activated
    •     If the actual indicator is inactive and either of these indicators is active, then the valuations in the corresponding versions and in version "000" must agree
    •     If the actual indicator is active, then both indicators must be activated
    Versions 0 and 1 are used regularly for various purposes by the system, which sets the following limitations/restrictions:
    •     Version 0 must always be available. It cannot be used exclusively. The plan and actual indicators must always be active.
    •     The actual indicator may not be activated in version 1.
    If these conditions are violated during version maintenance, error messages are issued. There are three types of error message:
    1. While maintaining the general version definition, you can only make changes if they do not violate the conditions outlined above.
    2. While maintaining the basic settings in the controlling area, the entries must remain consistent with the higher level entries.
    3. You want to maintain version 0 or 1. The restrictions outlined above apply.
    Use the "Extras" menu option to display the structure of the entries in the complex data object version:
    •     Select a version and choose Extras -> Version use.
    The SAP System shows which controlling areas use this version.
    •     Select Extras -> Versions in CO area
    This displays all versions used in the current controlling area.
    The subordinate entries in the hierarchy (settings for each fiscal year, strategic Activity-Based Costing: transactions for a delta versions) will also be shown for both cases.
    Procedure
    Do not activate the indicator, or change the higher order of settings in the general version definition.

    Raj,
    What are you trying to change?
    To me you are not suppose to make any changes, you need to select the version "0" and then hit "Settings for each Fiscal year" subfolder.... here you copy the settings of 2006 and change the year to 2007. This should resolve the problem.

  • [AIR 3.0] New JSON functionality doesn't work in FlashPro: Error #1065: Variable JSON is not defined

    After upgrading the AIR SDK to 3.0 in Flash Professional CS5.5 I've found some problems.
    First, the JSON class in the as3corelib.swc library now throws a couple of compile errors:
    1061: Call to a possibly undefined method decode through a reference with static type Class.
    1172: Definition com.adobe.serialization.json:JSON could not be found.
    At first I was completely puzzled, since I had the proper "import com.adobe.serialization.json.JSON;" reference,
    and I had the "as3corelib.swc" referenced in my ActionScript Properties, so how could that not be found?
    Then, I found out that's because it conflicts with the new internal JSON class included with AIR 3.0
    (maybe it should have been called something else, to avoid conflicts with Adobe's own as3corelib library).
    The new native JSON class doesn't have the decode() method. Now it's called parse()
    Ok, so I've tried using the new JSON class, but after changing decode() with parse() and removing
    the "import com.adobe.serialization.json.JSON;" reference, Flash tells me that "Variable JSON is not defined".
    Really? The JSON class is showing in the Flash Builder code completion popup,
    complete with its all-new parse() and stringify() methods! So why does it say it's not defined?
    Also, my SWF file gets compiled with no errors at all, so that verifies that the new 3.0 libraries are in place.
    I only get the "JSON is not defined" error at runtime in ADL, not at compile time. Why?
    In order to upgrade to the AIR 3.0 SDK, I've followed this guide:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/908/cpsid_90810.html
    I know that's about upgrading to AIR 2.7, but I suppose the steps to upgrade to AIR 3.0 would be very similar,
    only with the AIR3.0 SDK package, instead of 2.7.
    I also took care to type version="13" in all the XMLs, instead of version="12" as stated in that guide, which is meant for 2.7.
    Also, I followed this advice about adding -swf-version=13 in the Project Properties window in Flash Builder:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/cantrell/archives/2011/08/how-to-use-the-air-3-beta-sdk.html
    But that doesn't seem to make a difference, since, even though I use Flash Builder for code editing (which is usually used for Flex),
    my project is a Flash Professional project, not a Flex one, and when testing the project, Flash Builder runs Flash Professional
    to compile and then runs adl.exe (it's the same as if you click the option "Control / Test movie / in AIR Debug Launcher (Mobile)" inside Flash Pro).
    In the "ActionScript Settings" window in Flash Professional, I also have the proper airglobal.swc referenced (from the AIR 3.0 SDK),
    and the same airglobal.swc is referenced in Flash Builder as well (in "Referenced Libraries"), to get proper code completion.
    I've tried all sorts of things to try to get it to work, but no luck. Still get the "JSON is not defined" error at runtime.
    I'm starting to get desperate about this. I'm going to have to revert back to AIR 2.7.1, to stop wasting time on this issue.
    BTW, I'm also having another unrelated problem (though maybe it happens because of the same reason as the other problem).
    Now Flash Builder underlines the getTime() method in my code, as if it no longer were a method of a Date class instance.
    I have a line where I ask for the timestamp like this:
    ts = new Date().getTime();
    That has worked perfectly fine up until now with AIR 3.0.
    Now, when hovering the mouse cursor over the orange "(?)" icon that appears at the left, Flash Builder tells me
    "Access of undefined property getTime". Why?
    The AS3 documentation doesn't say anything about getTime() getting deprecated of anything of the sort:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/Date.html
    In fact, in the code completion popup that Flash Builder shows, now there isn't any mention
    of get or set methods, as you can see here:
    I suppose I can use the .time property instead of .getTime() but I don't know why I'm not getting all the methods I had available before.
    Any ideas why all this is happenning? Specially the dreaded "JSON is not defined" error.

    Well, after much tinkering, I think I've finally found a way to finally make it work!.
    I've created some modified XML files with the profiles needed for AIR 3.0 and after a lot of tries, it finally works!
    I've uploaded them here: http://www.mediafire.com/?d5e761frl5px4
    These are the steps needed to get AIR 3.0 running properly:
    Put all three files into the folder "c:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS5.5\Common\Configuration\Players"
    Then, make sure you've unzipped the AIR 3.0 SDK into the folder "c:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS5.5\AIR3.0" Do not overwrite the contents of the "AIR2.6" folder, as suggested by the "Overlay AIR SDK" article (linked in the above post). It gave me problems. It's best to use a different separate folder. My XML files point to that new "AIR3.0" folder.
    Inside the folder "c:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS5.5\Common\Configuration\ActionScript 3.0" create a new folder named "AIR3.0". Inside that folder, copy the file "airglobal.swc" located at "c:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS5.5\AIR3.0\frameworks\libs\air".
    Finally, you will have to keep the file "descriptor-sample.xml" in the "c:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS5.5\AIR2.6\samples" folder, but change the xmlns attribute to "http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/3.0"
    Yes, you have to change that inside the AIR2.6 folder even if the SDK has been put into AIR3.0. That's because of how the publish settings work in Adobe Flash. It's hardcoded into a DLL, so that can't be changed. Not very intuitive.
    I think AIR SDK installations should be a lot more straightforward than this! I know Adobe AIR is meant for developers, not for final users, but still, all these not very well documented upgrade procedures are a pain in the ***. I've wasted A LOT of hours in this (more than half a day), with what should have been a straightforward upgrade!
    Adobe should make a SDK installer so we do not have to be tinkering with all these error-prone procedures each time a new update is released!
    Well, I hope those XML files are useful to somebody and avoids further frustration.
    Regards,
    OMA2k
    PD: BTW, I still have the .getTime() issue described in my above post, but it's not very important,
    since I can still use the .time property. Still, it puzzles me why this is happening.

    I have searched few SAP notes such as 1384961 which talks about same error but it is implemented in our system (EA-HR 604 , Patch 27, )
    Appreciate any help.
    Thanks

    Hi Swati
    One of the similar (not exact) issues were resolved by correcting the event linkage....please refer thread:
    http://scn.sap.com/message/14848795#14848795
    Not sure of the details of the the resolution, maybe Ragavendran Kanagaraj can throw more light.
    Just some high level checks (if not done already):
    Check event linkage errors in SWEQADM if anything is related to your WF
    Check in SWEL if it's showing any more details (not sure if it will)
    Any warnings in syntax check of WF template (PFTC) or WF definition (SWDD)
    Any error sin binding

  • Not defined outbound plug in Window or View but exists in NavigationLink

    Hi Experts,
    In  NavigationlLink of  standard component 'BSPWD_ADVSEARCH'  contains the outbound plug  'SavedSearchEdit'.
    But I am not able to find where the outbound plug is defined since it is not defined in its window or view.
    Please explain me where the OUTBOUND plug is defined.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi Raj,
    The Outbound plug is defined for the bsp component - BSPWD_ADVSEARCH.
    You can check the same in SPRO settings by following the path:-
    SPRO->CRM->UI FRAMEWORK->TECHNICAL ROLE DEFINITION -> DEFINE WORKAREA COMPONENT REPOSITORY.
    Here select the BSP component - BSPWD_ADVSEARCH  & select INBOUND PLUG DEFINITION option on the left side.
    You'll see 2 IPs defined along with their Target IDs.
