Regardin updation of texts in bw

hi,
this is a scenario updating flatfile to bw server.
i have problem in updating text data.when i create info package in infosources, i get a pop-up that "SELECT THE LANGUAGE FIELD IN THE SOURCE SYSTEM->LONG TEXT".and after if i continue while updating i get a error message that "NO TRANSFER STRUCTURE AVAILABLE ALL_SS_AL_MAT_TEXT (SY-SUBRC= " .can anyone help me in this.

Hi Allen,
I had the same problem running through the exercise.  I'm sure you have it figured out by now but my solution was:
Under Modeling-->Source Systems
-->Locate your DataSource "ALL_SS_AL_MAT_TEXT "  It might be under FFSS under you Application Component.
-->The Status might appear "Modified"
-->Click on "Activate"
-->Run through the exercise again and you should now be able to load the text

    Can I directly updating the long text information with the fuction save_text?
    The long text is in :
    tcode: fb02 -->input document no ... --> Document overview --> select one document
    long text --> updating the value.
    Becaust I want to update some items in a G/L Account with bdc or other technique, but I found I can't   choose the items in the G/L Account with bdc automatically .That means I can't get the selected items and update them.So I try to update them with the function save_text  directly (I know the doc no，bukrs,fiscal year ,item no which will decide the long text item).
    Who can help me ?Or is there any way to solve the problem? Thanks very much.

    Yes, you can update directly using SAVE_TEXT.

  • Script to update legacy text (action does not work)

    So here is my scenario: I did select all and update legacy text but I have some issues with some type paths that are being clipped. OK, easy enough let me unselect those layers and run "update selected legacy text" GREAT WORKS!
    Here is my delima I have 400 .eps files that I am doing this on. The layer names are always the same so I was wondering if there was an easy way to do this on an action. Does an action know that I am unselecting a layer after selecting all? Why doesn't it record when I do
    Type>Legacy Text>Convert Selected Text?
    • Select all
    • Unselect two layers (layers name consistent)
    • Type>Legacy Text>Convert Selected Text
    Is this easy in a script to pull off?

    The two that are locked are the ones I name in the script and are the ones I do not want edited.
    There is your script the layers that is not getting updated for example is the: "CAPTIONS COUNTRIES" & "CAPTIONS TOWNS"

  • Using external XML document to update / change text fields inside of published captivate output.

    Hello
    I currently have a project where the client has requested to have the ability to update the text fields inside the project at a later date.
    This is due to the nature of the content changing rather rapidly, i would like to set this up so the client can manage this them selfs.
    What would the best way to do this be?
    I'm thinking XML, an external XML sheet were by Captivate imports the text from this XML sheet and then displays it within the specific text fields contained within the captivate output.
    This way the client would just update the external XML document(cut and paste the text in) and then the text would be dynamically updated in the published Captivate document.
    any help would be amazing !

    But isn't this thread more about an end user having an ability to change text after the Captivate has been published and delivered? I could see where that might be useful if making changes then publishing to create a new output. But I'm interpreting that the situation here is that a Captivate project has been published and delivered, and some mechanism is desired that allows the recipient to modify an external XML file to influence changes in the already compiled Captivate output.

  • Keeping edits when updating linked text file

    My main use of indesign is laying out text files that are created in work. They need be linked, becuase the authors of these files are constantly updating them.
    I place the file, and then format the tables to make them look better, and also sometimes add images into the text
    However, when the original changes, and I update the text box with the new text, all the formatting i've added is lost.
    This must be a common problem with linked files, so, if anyone has any recommendations please let me know. Most importantly would be a way to automatically apply / keep the stlying for the tables.

    You can try exporting to RTF and relinking those files back to your
    document and letting your writers work on those, but InCopy is far
    better solution.
    Why not download the demo and show them how much time they'll save with
    it? Or bring in a consultant who can demonstrate it. I've found that
    doing a demo can really open some eyes to the possibilities.

    hi srikanth,
    you might have selected given lowercase data
    and please check in the Infoobject the lowercase Checkbox is unchecked then it will allow you to update from IP.
    also check in the Datasource fields tab whether particular field is unchecked with lowercase.
    if checked all records you are pushing will have to be in uppercase.

  • JTable - Help with updating a Text File

    Hi all,
    I've been fighting this for a few days. I am trying to update a Text File with my JTable.... Displaying the data works great but when I try to edit a cell/field on the gui, I'm bombing out...... My text fiel is a small user control file with Id, Name,
    Date, etc etc with the fields delimited with a "|".... I have built an Abstract Data Model (see below).... and I think my problem is in the setValueAt method.......

    No, the DefaultDataModel does not update the physical data file. It is just used to store the data as you type in the table cells.
    The code from above is used to read data from a file and populate the DataModel.
    Now you need to write another routine that will take the data from the DataModel and write it to your file. I have never actually done this but I think the code would be something like:

    An obvious method is to copy the whole file with the changes made into a temporary file .
    After the operation delete the orginal file and rename the temporary file to orginal file.

    A little information will be of a great help, witch iPhone did you upgrade, memory , and version of software ( iOS 8.x.x )?
    Try restarting you iPhone and make sure you have a god internet connection , get as close to your wifi router (1-3 meter / 2-9 feet ) as possible. Don't use restore to factory  settings before you tried other options .  And most imported du you have an iCloud backup.
