Regarding Address in Selfservice

Hi Group,
I am customizing self service here I need to save a address for different countries. The problem is that when ever i chose some other country the it throws an error saying ID GENERIC for the flexfield segment Address Style does not exist in the value set $FLEX$.DF_CONTEXTS the other problem is that I am not able to see the address which I am storing in People screen under address.
Will be looking forward for your suggestions.

Just enable the context for the other countries within the definition of the address flexfield. You should then get a drop down list of countries, select it and then the flexfield definition of the address will refresh according to your selection.
Check that the original definition of the address flexfield on the personalisation page includes all the other contexts.

In smartform u have to pass the address no and it's give the full address by FM ADDRESS_INTO_PRINTFORM .plz check this fm and for address check the master table like vendor the table is LFA1 to get the address for it

I have maintained the Address in the following table J_1IADDRES,however in the Table J_1IEXCHDR the Address field EXC_ADDRESS_NO is not getting picked up as a result of which the address is not printing in my ARE1 Document,please advice where do I need to maintain the same in customization for the address to get printed in the ARE1 Document.

Hi Atul,
Maintain the Address first in LG --> Tax on Goods Movement --> India --> Basic Setting --> Maintain Postak Addresses.
Then assign this Address in the last column of Series Group in LG --> Tax on Goods Movement --> India --> Basic Setting -->Maintain Series Grp.

Regarding Address Field while replicating data from ECC to SRM

Hi Forum,
I have a few qauestions regarding the mandatory fields that must be maintaned in ECC before replicating data to SRM..
1)Why is the address data (one we see in PA20 by selecting Addresses for the user) i.e. city and pincode required vefore replication.
2)Is there a way by which it can be defaulted so that we dont have to maintain it for each and every user?

Addresses: If addresses are required to generate correct business partners of the organizational unit role (in SRM, for example), the HRALX/OADRE switch is set to X (formerly: the BUPA/ADDR switch). If it is mandatory for each business partner of the organizational unit role to have an address, but the relevant organizational units do not always have a separate address, you can define a standard address. Create a separate business partner for storing the standard address. The number of this business partner, which is used as a container, is stored in the HRALX/OADBP switch (formerly BUPA/ADRBP).

Regarding address to print in smartform

Hi,
i have requirement, when im printing a smartform of purchase order,its displaying 'delivery to(plant address)'
is printing but my requirement is when i select check box of subcontractor at item level it should display that subcontractor address and when i dint select that check box it should same default address(plant address)

Place your condition in your address node,
Example
if checkbox <sub-contract> EQ 'X'.
Display sub-contract address.
if checkbox <sub-contract> NE 'X'.
Display plant address
Note: make sure you pass this check box information to smartform.

Regarding Address EndAddress in SAP Script

Hi Abapers,
I am having a problem while displaying the address in SAP Script through Address EndAddress.
Problem is it is displaying the data correctly but it display the Region Code. Now the requirement is to display the Region Description instead of the Region Code.
Can you please provide me any solution for this.

When creting sales order we provide the partners data like name, address,tel no etc.When we saved it does the system automatically generates the address number or we need to generate it.

The client session is your primary TopLink interface abstracting over the shared cache and connection pooling. Depending if you are using internal or external connection pooling and the transaction state you are in TopLink may have a JDBC connection allocated to your client session. A client session does equate to a single dedicated JDBC connection for its entire lifecycle.
Assuming you are using an external connection pool (Application server's data source) your client session will have a connection from this data source when required to perform a read and during the commit of its UnitOfWork.

Its not the problem with Address / End Address.
It could be probably maintained that way.
Please check the entry in the table where it is maintained.

IP address Assignment for 802.1x Client

Working on a Wireless deployment using 802.1x and a question has come up regarding Address Assignment.
The design requires wireless vlan assignment based on username and Active Directory group assignment.
The simplest way to provide dynamic addressing would obviously be multiple DHCP Scopes on a server and use ip helper functionally to provide relay servers.
Another option (I think) would be to create IP address pools in the ACS server based on ACS group and have ACS pass it back as part of the authentication process. I'm wondering if this is even a valid option with 802.1x authentication. It seems to me that it would cut down on alot of the traffic assoiciated with a DHCP discovery/request/offer conversation as the number of wireless clients start to grow.

Err, no. There is no provision in EAP-TLS, PEAP (CHAP), or even basic EAP to provide network information (eg IP address/mask/gateway/DNS/etc).
There is also no provision in Windows 2k or XP interface management software to accept IP details for interface configuration via any wireless authentication protocol.

Address prob - 64 bit

hi all
i am porting my application from 32 bit to 64 bit in solaris 2.8 .
In some places for integer variable it is trying to read 8 bytes of data where as it has to read 4 bytes and the error Message is "access to address exceeded protections".
Can anyone give me some link of info about the type of considerations that need to be taken regarding address issues when porting a 32 bit application to 64 bit ??
How can I handle this problem...

reading 8 bytes of data at address 0xffffffff7c700fc0.
It is giving this error at a location where a simple int variable is declared and initialized to zero. ( int rr=0 ).
So my problem is that I am not able to understand as to why it is trying to read 8 bytes instead of only 4 bytes for this 64bits application???
So Please let me know if anybody knows ANY information as to when this kind of error comes.

Exporting mail and address book to PC?

Hi everyone,
My wife recently got a PC for work (She wanted a Mac, but what can you do?). We have a Mac in our home office. The Mac is the most up-to-date with e-mail and addresses. She would like to export all the addresses and contact info from the Mac to the PC, and synchronize or export all the old e-mails to the PC. How can we do this?
The PC came with Windows XP, Outlook, and Outlook Express.

Regarding messages, this isn't always easy since Outlook and Outlook Express don't use the mbox format.
Something to try. There is a collection of AppleScripts called Mail Scripts that can be downloaded from the following link.

The script to use is Archive Messages (Mail) which moves messages from the selected mailbox(es) to an archive mailbox or export them to standard mbox, plain or rich text files for backup purposes or import into other applications. You can select to move all messages or only messages sent within or certain period as well filter messages based on their read and flagged status.
Try exporting the messages as plain or rich text files for import into either Outlook or Outlook Express.
Regarding Address Book contacts, probably best to export all contacts as a tab-delimited text file for import to the Outlook or Outlook Express Address Book.
Try Address Book Exporter.

IPad sending videos always as if external screen were 4:3

iPad admits videos that are decent to be watched on HDTV sets. iPhone requires videos to be smaller (iOS 4.xx).
However, iPad INSISTS on considering—using the Apple Component cable—that the output is going to a 4:3 set, and not a 16:9 or Widescreen, as is my case. Thus, in order to watch the video properly one must set the HTVC set to ZOOM, so that 16:9 movies do occupy 100% of the screen area.
This MUST be a bug, since the iPhone (3GS with iOS 4.xxx) does NOT behave like that. It considers the output screen to be WideScreen (as set accordingly) and shows the videos correctly. Of course, coming from the iPhone, they are lower quality.
My iPad is set to output to a Widescren HDTV. However, using the Component cable (3 Video RGB and 2 audio, left and right) it always transforms the image as if it were being sent to a 4:3 screen. This has got to be a bug! Please, whoever needs to pay attention to this, do it soon!

As far as I'm aware this is not a bug and the way Apple have designed the output of the iPad. Unless Apple decide to change the way the out put works you're stuck with the way it is.
