                       i am new to ODI can we have more than one MASTER_REPOSITORY, in which situation we go for more than one master_repo,what is the advantage
please help me

In 11g odi agent can be connected to only one master repository. Please refer to Setting-up the Topology - 11g Release 1 (11.1.1)

  • Regarding Agent Rule GRAC_REQ_MITIG_MONITOR_AGENT

    Can anyone help me in determining if i can make use of agent rule GRAC_REQ_MITIG_MONITOR_AGENT to look for the approver at mitigation monitor stage under process ID SAP_GRAC_ACCESS_REQUEST_HR ??
    SAP has suggested that this agent rule is only specific to process ID SAP_GRAC_ACCESS_REQUEST.. but when i checked in MSMP workflow process ID list, it is very much present in Step 2 - Maintain rules ....
    Also kindly guide me with the steps i should follw to create custom agent rule for the same ....

    This is because agents, rules etc are tagged to "Process Type". Both process IDs SAP_GRAC_ACCESS_REQUEST and SAP_GRAC_ACCESS_REQUEST_HR belong to the same Process Type SAP_GRAC_AR. Thus, the agents that are available for one ideally should be available for the other too. This is not true for other processes as the process type there are different.

  • Regarding agent running

    Hi,
    I am starting the agent on the server by the command line :
    . agentscheduler.sh -name=<Physical_Agent_Name>
    But if i close the Unixbox the agent is getting killed and the scheduling process stops. So how do i overcome this in production environment?

    Hi Vikram,
    You are starting a OS command that exists while the window is opened.
    To have the agent working all the time you need to install it as a service. Take a look in the user manual about how to do.

    what is the difference b/w these 2 things...

    Does anybody have any idea whether the agent 18 case will fit with an invisible shield currently on my ipod?

    I heard somewhere that if you put a case on an iPod with an invisble shield, it causes friction and the invisible shield will get damaged.

  • Changes in Customizing for agent assignment do not transport well

    Hi,
    We have made changes in some tasks regarding agent assignment (we select the option 'General Task' in the Attributes button). This generates a Customizing request.
    After releasing these 2 requests (Customizing and Workbench), we transport them from Development to Test. But when checking the new workflow in Test, the Customizing modifications regarding agent assignment do not occur.
    We have tried the two possible sequences of transporting the requests: first Customizing and then Workbench, then the other way, with same results.
    Is there any specific order that should be followed to correctly transport Customizing and Workbench requests?

    Our wf doesn´t use organizational structure, but checking the transport logs as you suggested (that´s what I should've done first!), has shown an error of type 12 in the last Customizing requests we have sent.
    The log error's header says
    'Method execution 08.09.2006 16:01:39   (12) Canceled',
    Going to the details,
    'Execution of programs after import (XPRA)'
    'Ended with return code:  ===> 12 <==='
    There is also one Workbench request with the same type of error.

  • IC Agent Inbox Search Issue : -

    Hi All,
    I have some clarification regarding the IC Agent Inbox search.
    We have a situation were mails have been assigned under particular agents name.
    When he/she tries to search for the mails in "inbox search" by applying criteria like Transaction type , Categorization schema,assigned to - "my group"
    and enter search it is not pulling all the records what is expected.
    Can you guys please tell me what might be the problem here any code change or customizing changes required to set this right ?
    Please give a suggestion ASAP possible as it very urgent issue needs to resolved.

    If I were you, I would debug the query involved in work item search, and see the conditions used to retrieve the work items, and see why some are note retrieved.
    In the past, we also had some strange behaviour regarding agent inbox, so I would also check OSS notes, under application area CRM-IC-UNI.
    The DB tables involved are, if I am not mistaken, SWWWIHEAD (header info) and SWWUSERWI (assignement of workitem to users).
    By checking those 2 aspects, you might find out what is the issue in your system.

  • Agent Assignents in Workflow Customizing

    Hi All,
    I have a doubt regarding agents assignments in workitems.
    In our scenario, When ever a engineering change order is created, it triggers a workflow item to 3 users inbox automatically (in SBWP) for the approval.
    Can anyone tell me where exactly these agents are assigned in customizing of WF.

    Hi,
       Ii is not mandatory that the three agents might be hard coded. It is possible that there is rule that would be determining the three agents dynamically, So I would suggest, that just follow the below steps.
    1. Execute PFTC select Workflow template as task type and mention the workflow id Exculding object type WS.
    2. Open in display mode and clikc on the workflow builder in the new screen. This will inturn will navigate you to the SWDD txn but in display mode.,
    3. Check the standard task or Activity or Decision steps , the one which is sent for the three agents. Check whether any ruleis assigned to itif any rule is assigned then just double click the rule to see what kind of rule it is. You can simulate the rule from PFAC txn.
    4. If there is no rule assigned then on the same screen you might be having a green colured apple shaped icon click on it to see if any of the agents are hard coded. ....
    Note: In general the agents should be determined dynamically.

    My customer has a following scenario for sales agent
    I) Yearly Commission is given to sales agents on [Sales amount – (All discounts + TOD + Sales return)].
    II) This commission is given Brand wise.
    III) There can be different agents for the same customer for different products.
    IV) Multiple agents can also exist for a customer – product combination.. where each one of them will be given certain percentage of total sales as their comission.
    How can we tackle this?? Please reply fast.. its very urgent

  • Agents in ODI

    I have a couple of questions regarding agents in ODI - which are kind of related...
    1 - If I have an agent running as a "scheduler" agent, do I also have to set up a separate "listener" agent or will the scheduler do both tasks?
    2 - When setting up the ODIPARAMS.bat file for use in scheduling, you have to define a work repository - what happens if you have multiple work repositories (i.e. for dev, test and prod) or does it not make in difference which workrep it is using (and in which case what is the point of specifying a work repository).

    The reason for the two types is that there is actually more than two...
    You have the:
    - "listener" type agent, which can "work for anybody", you pass it all parameters at invocation time
    - "scheduler" type agent which takes it parameters from the odiparams file for connecting to the repository in order to read its schedules.
    - "command line" - where you invoke a scenario from the command line, (startscen) in which case it will also read the odiparams file for the repository info (you don't want to have to pass all those in on the command line)
    In the case where you want multiple scheduler agents, you set up additional odiparams.bat/sh file, and corresponding scheduleragent.bat/sh, which calls the appropriate one.

  • Approval Form - "No selected agents"

    I've completed a saptechnical Form Demo exerciseand it runs successfully, however I do not receive a work item in Business Workplace. When I forward navigate into the Workflow Log and select display Agents, I get the message "No selected agents".
    I'm new at this client, who still run 4.7c, and had to run SWU3 to set up the initial Workflow Steps. After this I was at least able to create some demo workflows, but don't get any emails in the inbox. The only emails I get is as administrator for IDOC failures. In the example I mentioned, I set up the agent either as USER &MYUID& or as Expression &_WF_INITIATOR&. Neither of these options ever spawn an error or an email? HR is not set up at all, but would this be the cause of my problem? I'm wondering if it would be a requirement for the user to have a corresponding P0105 entry? I think not, but it's worth a mention.

    Hi Adrian,
    Have a look at note 1098805 section [1] regarding agent assignment and how it works.
    Make sure the agent assignment returns a users or users (Responsible agents)
    Make sure you have users assigned to your task (Possible agents)
    Whatever users are common to both will be the selected agents and will receive the work item. If no users are common to both the Responsible & Possible then no agents will be assigned.

    We are doing a POC on ODI.
    I have installed ODI on my system.created required master and work repository.since it is a POC we dont need a shared environment.i am the only one working on my system.
    I have some questions regarding AGENT.
    1) Can i use the LOCAL AGENT in my case (no shared environement)
    2) I would like to develop some interfaces and schedule them.can i schedule using LOCAL AGENT.
    3) if 1 and 2 can be done....how can i start AGENT ...( i have installed ODI on windows)
    4) actually i have also installed ODI on the server where our target DB is residing. how can i configure agent on that server with my client machine

  • How SCOM Agent will get degraded which is installed on the monitored server while reverting Back from CU6 to CU3 of SCOM 2012 SP1?

    I have SCOM 2012 SP1 (CU3) inatalled on base server 2012 Standard which is a VM.
    Now I am planning to Go for CU6 and thinking to take snapshot of complete  SCOM server instead of taking Data Base Backup. Which should I prefer?
    If i am going for the Snapshot for complete SCOM server and run the CU6 complete setup. And some thing went wrong and not able to fix the issue.
    And I need to reverted back to CU3 using Snspshot.
    Now, how can I revert the Agent Version to CU3 level which is already upgraded to CU6?

    Hi,
    all agents with CU6 will be work fine with SCOM CU6.
    But if you decide back to the CU3 you need to backup your OPsDB and DWH (if CU6 contains sql scripts).
    In regard agents you can use repair from OPsMGR console.

    2. I am trying to use a multiline container for my agents and indicated.

    My requirement is that once the task is executed by one of the agents, the other agents will
    no longer be able to execute the task and the workflow will proceed to the next step. So far
    with what I have done, the workflow is waiting for all the agents to execute the task before
    it continues to the next step. Please advice on what I should do. Thank you in advance!
