Regarding Aggregats Copy

Hai,
I want to copy the aggregates of one cube to another i know the programme name but i am executing that program it is asking for the technical name of the aggregate to be copied and it is asking Aggregate(UID).
I am not undersatnding this Aggregate(UID).
Can anybody help me ragrading this.

1. How do I check whether someone is re-bilding aggregates on a cube?
If your aggregate status is in red and you are filling up the aggregate - it is an initial fill of the aggregate and filling up would mean loading the data from the cube into the aggregate in full.
2. Does rebuilding an aggregate refer to the rollup process? Can it take a few hours?
Rebuilding of an aggregate is to reload the data into the aggregate from the cube once again.
3. What does it mean when someone switches off an aggregate, basically what is the difference (conceptually/time consumption)between:
A. activating an aggregate?
this would mean recreating the data structures for the aggregate - this would mean dropping the data and reloading the data.
B. switching off/on an aggregate?
Switching off an aggregate means that it will not be used by the OLAp processor but would mean that the aggregate still gets rolled up. Rollup referring to loading changed data from the cube into the aggregate - this is done based n the requests that have not yet been rolled up into the cube.
C. rebuilding an aggregate?

3. When a user complains that a query is running slow, do we build an aggregate based on the chars in rows & free chars in that query OR is there anything else we need to include?
Run the query in RSRT and do an SQl view of the query and check the characteristics that are used in the query and then include the same into your aggregate.
4. Does database statistics in the 'MANAGE' tab of a cube only show statistics or does it do anything to improve the load/query performance on the cube?
Stats being updated will improve the execution plans on the database. Making sure that stats are up to date would lead to better execution plans and hence possibly better performance but it cannot eb taken for granted that refreshing stats is going to improve query performance.

Regarding Program Copy

hai,
I have created ztable and zprograms in my local object with user "fujikawa"
now I created new user Chandra. i want to continue coding
by copying programs from Fujikawa user.
If at all we copy these PGMS, it seems we cant execute in new user.
Why is it..? any idea is there?

Hello Chandra,
Befor the steps to rename a table safely, I shall give you the steps to reward the points to the replies you get.
1. For each of the responses that you get for your question, there will be a yellow star icon in the header of the reply.
2. Just click the icon and you will be taken to a screen where you can reward points to that message based on how useful you have found it to be.

Now coming over to the table renaming...
1. Go to Se11, enter the name of the table you want to rename.
2. Click on the where-used list icon on the toolbar.
3. You will get a pop-up screen. Since you are searching for a custom table (Z-table), it might not have too many references. Select all the objects which you think might have used this table.
4. You will get a list of results along with the exactl location where the table (rather table name)is used. Change all these to the new name and save all the objects (programs). Don't activate the programs at this point.
5. After all the programs and other objects referencing the table have been modified to the new table name, then change the actual table's name.
6. Activate the table with it's new name. Then activate all the objects that you have just modified , to correct the table name.

Queary regarding Client Copy

Hi Experts,
I have a scenario where in my Source Systems runs on HP-UX,Oracle10G and ECC 6.0 and my Target Systems runs on Windows 2003,Oracle 10G and ECC 6.0 except OS all the SAP and DB versions and Patches are same.
Could you please tell me can i able to do remote client copy( i am sure with client export/import we can do)? does any body done the same before.
Please suggest me on this

As far as i remember Remote Client Copies between different OS is possible... essentially a client copy is a HUGE transport and as far as the SAP versions are the same it should be ok. (please correct me if I'm wrong)

Regarding client copy and authorizations

hi,
i had installed SAP BW 3.5 on my system.it is a fresh installation.now the probelm is that iam unable to open the administration workbench screen which is the most important of all the BW screens available.when i type the relevant tcode , it is saying "screen cannot be opened on 000 client".so i created one more client 070 (by copying client). and when i log on using 070 client , it is saying you are not authorized to use that screen.
any suggestions?had i missed something in the installation?

The procedure to delete is as below.
1.     Log on to the client to be deleted.
2.     Execute SCC5.
3.     Check the delete entry from T000.
4.     Schedule in the background.
Since you said you have deleted already , may be you have not checked the delete entry fron table T000.
In this case Go to table T000 and delete the entries.
After that create a client as below.
A local client copy copies between clients within the same R/3 System.
Both a local and remote client copy must be initiated from the target client using the following steps:
1.     To create an entry for the target client in the client maintenance table, choose SCC4
2.     Log on to the target client as SAP* with the initial password PASS.
3.     Perform the client copy using SCCL.
4.     Select the data to be copied using a profile.
5.     Assign the source client for Customizing data, application data, and user master records.
6.     Begin the client copy.
7.     As copying is a lengthy process, use background processing.
8.     To ensure data consistency, you may not logon to the target client during a client copy.
9.     Lock the users in source client.

Please help, regarding 'content copying'

I have signed up for Adobe (non-paying memeber). Im using PDF and want to edit the security settings so that content copying of my document is disallowed. I don't know how/ seem to be unable to do so, please will you be so kind to help?

Sorry you have lost your phone.
There is no way that you will be able to archive or read any unread text on your phone it it is lost. All text/pic messages are sent to the designated phone that is on your number only. The information is sent to the specific device on the account and does not transfer to a replacement phone.
There are too many requests for customers who lost text messages to be archived in the data base system to retain the history of those text. Only calling history can be saved in customers calling details online or with detailed billing printed invoices.
As per privacy disclosures, text are private information for the customers only, and are not archived unless a power of attorney or policy report by law enforcement is submitted to the law enforcement dept.

Regarding Aggregates usage

I have created a aggregate on a infocube,(using proposal from query) but how do i check whether the
aggregate is being used or not ??
when i check the usage tab in the 'maintaince of aggregate ' it displays 0.

If you have created an aggregate for an InfoCube, activated it and entered data for it, the OLAP processor can access these aggregates automatically when the query is being executed.
If the aggregates are being used, you can see the Usage counter in aggregate maintenance incremented as and when the respective aggregate is used.

Doubt regarding Aggregates

Hello Experts
I have created a aggregate in development enviornment on a infocube. When i execute the query and check the 'usage' tab in ' Maintainence of Aggregates ' it is non-zero, which means the aggregate is being used, but this usage counter is not getting incremented each time i execute the query...
So my doubt is, is it that if a excute a given query let say 10 times...the corresponding aggregate usage counter should accordingly be increased to 10 ?
Because in my case sometimes it gets incremented and some times not.

Hi Priyanka,
Under the execute and Debug near the bottom is an option to not use cache. You should check that box, that way that test will not look in the cache for results. You can confirm that the cache was used or not becuase when the results were retrieved from OLAP cache, the DB Rows Selected and Rows Transferred counts in RSDDSTAT will be 0 but when it hits the aggregate or base cube, you'll have counts in those fields.
If the query is able to retrieve results from the OLAP Cache, it will never actually go to the database (which is a good thing!)
The pecking order a query uses is
look in local cache for the results
look in the Global OLAP cache
look for an suitable aggregate
go to the base cube

Regarding Aggregates

Dear SDN's,
I have a Cube which regularly loading from R/3 every day with huge amount of data & cube has lot of aggregates.
Unfortunately Cube received lot of illlegal,bcoz of that we need to delete the whole data in the cube.
If we delete the data in the cube,what happens to the aggregates that are based on the cube?Is aggregates data also gets deleted ?
After deleting data from Cube,if we execute a report on cube whether it is going to receive data from aggregates ?

Regarding print copy

Dear Experts.
I have taken a print out from the smart form.Page Format is DINA4. at left side i have taken 0.50CM margin and at right side I have taken 1Cm margin.Means after the 20th CM(width) the line should come.But I am not getting the line In the print copy.But in print preview i am able to see dat line.Plz suggest me how to come across this.

Aggregate copy -- variable or fixed date

Hi Gurus:
When I try to copy an existing aggregate a pop up screen comes up saying 'select variable or fixed date' -- and lists
some dates.
My question is what exactly this means & if I cancel it says, this aggr may not be used because I did not select value from that screen..
pls suggest. I will be happy to assign the points.

Lightroom Slideshow Question regarding DVD copying.

I've just created a new slideshow with music which I've copied to a DVD+R as well as DVD+RW. All seems to go well but the music skips intermittently and I'm not able to figure out what I may being doing that would cause this issue. Photos are shown as they should be.
Using current version of LR 5.4, with MacBook Pro, OXS 10.9.2

I'm having the same problem. During the slide fade transmissions, my music skips. It is ok on the mp4, but when I burn to DVD I get the skips during playback. Has anyone helped you with this or did you figure it out?

Copy control from quotation to sales order

Though my quoation is incomplete it can be copied into sales order, kindly suggest me a so;ution where in incomplete quotaion cannot be copied into sales order.Kindly explain me teh setting in TCODE (VTAA) STEP BY STEP.

Copying control for sales documents is in Customizing, under Sales and Distribution - Sales - Maintain Copying Control for Sales Documents.
In this you can change the procedure by not selecting incomplete quotation for sales order, but this can be done only when some of the data in quotation is missing.
like dont give the validity date in quotation and save it before providing the validity date.
Maintaining an Incompleteness Procedure
An automatically-created quotation does not contain a Quotation-valid-to date. The customer's system requires this information for processing; therefore you have to add it to the quotation prior to saving the document, and before generating the message to the customer.
The incompleteness control is set up in such a way that the quotation is incomplete if this date has not been entered. In Customizing for Sales and Distribution, you choose Sales and Distribution - Basic Functions - Incompleteness Control for Sales and Distribution Documents, to assign sales document type QT (quotation) to incompleteness procedure 10, which contains the field for this check.
Message Control
The following message types have been created to Sales and Distribution (SD) in the vendors system:
·        Message type AN00 for the quotation
·        Message types POST and PNST for status inquiries
·        Message types BA01 and BA02 for the order
         confirmation and amendment respectively
·        Message type LALE for the delivery
·        Message type RD00 for the invoice

Copy Control in Subs.Dlv.Free of Charge

Hi
This issue is regarding the copy control in Subs.Dlv.Free of Charge.
I am trying to create a return order with ref to the parent billing document. The parent billing has a batch split because of which there are 2 line items , line item 10 with zero qty & line item 11 with 2 qty.
When i create a return order with ref to this parent billing these 2 line items are getting copied & the system is throwing an msg incomplete doc maiantain gross wt,net wt & pricing for line item 10 (that is with zero qty).
So to avoid this i am deleting the line item 10 ,and saving the document with line item 11 with qty 2 ,with order reasons.
Now when i am trying to raise an sale sorder with doc type Subs.Dlv.Free of Charge with ref to the return order ,the syetm says not copyingthe line item 11 and shows a log with which says *Item 000011 is not copied: Copy requirement 304 has not been met*
But i did maintained these 304 copy requirements for the item.
can any one suggest how to address this issue.

Hi Andrey,
This is an issue with the copy control. Kindly check the settings in copy control VTFL.
Check for delivery to billing type ZRE if the mention item categories are maintained.
You need to include the missing item category there.
