Regarding an Interview i came across..

Iam currently seeking a contract job in sap security area, last week (on Thursday) I had an interview(telephonic), well it was quite different from the traditional interviews,at the first instance after our introductions to each other, interviewer asked me to pose her any question,well I asked here about their work environment and then about the job role they are offering. The interview was quite interesting and I enjoyed talking to her. At the end of the interview, she gave me her contact number and told me to call her to clarify any doubts etc. Well its very unusual where an interviewer trying to have any contact with the candidate. Here my question is what can I assume that she is expecting from me? Is she just trying to develop a relationship on a profession basis? or is it a kind of test to judge me? Well Iam expecting the interview result this coming week,hoping for the best.

i have moved from a mac pro to a mac mini,
Mini now has mavericks and latest iLife stuff, I clicked import, was all good, then at end, no videos came across.
Is Mavericks,/iPhoto having a compatibiltiy issue with some video formats....???

Please describe exactly what you did. In moving to a new machine no importing is involved. The best way is to simply connect the two computers together and drag the iPhoto library from the old one to the pictures folder go the new one and launch iPhoto

I just tried to import photos from iphone to MacAir but only some came across, many others as dark space. The app thinks I have transferred them all but I want to redo the process and it is not obvious how to do that. I deleted the dark images already,

Also, you can have Image Capture automatically open when you connect the phone or any camera. To do that you need to open iPhoto on your Mac (yes, the setting is in iPhoto and that is a bit strange).
Why do I have to buy iPhoto to get to a setting so that I don't have to use iPhoto?!?! Not very Apple-like.
If the device is attached and highlighted in Image Capture, the setting is in the bottom left corner.

Think! How likely is it, you can get a 4000 USD 3D program for 300 USD from a legit reseller? Zero. The same applies to software X. They'll send you a nice package, it will look like it's a genuine article, yet, when you enter the serial and try to activate, you will get wonderful warnings all over the place and nothing will work. So by all means, this stuff is of zero value. Leave it be and save your money until you can afford the real deal...

Did you already try to reset the sync history?
If you find that some of your data syncs to your device but you see an unexpected number of changes or modifications, you may need to reset your sync history. This causes iTunes to prompt to Merge or Replace information on the device when you next attempt to sync your information. To reset your Sync History:
Open iTunes.
From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
Click the Devices tab.
Click the Reset Sync History button.

Has anyone else came across this

Now i apologise if this has been mentioned somewhere else.............Obviously there has been many complaints regarding the speed of the 3GS with the last ios update. Many people have made suggestions on restarting, resetting, backing up etc and to be honest I did this a while ago and nothing happened. Over the last 5 weeks my wife's, my fathers and my mothers 3GS has got to the point there not fit for there purpose. We also have 2 iPad 2's which have also slowed down massively since we updated. My fathers 3GS got to the point it was turning itself off even if the battery was in the 80-90% bracket. He took it to the apple shop where he was advised to restart etc. He came home unamused and tried all the tricks they suggested in store to no satisfaction. He has gone back into the store today where he paid £99 pound and his old iPhone 3GS for a reconditioned one. The new phone has been cloned to his old one everything from imei number to apps and it is massivly different regarding speeds and loading. This suggested to me that it had nothing to do with the update and some sort of information was being stored somewhere and slowing it down. I have been fiddling about with my iPhone today and in settings, general, about, diagnostics & usage there is an option to either send/not send apple data. I personally have ticked don't send. Underneath this there is a box called diagnostics and data usage. Within this is a massive amount of information based on my usage. Why is this storing? There is info on there from over 2 years ago could this be the reason my phone is horrifically slow.?

Yes, the underlying BEx query works fine.
When you look at the measure created by designer in WebI, you'll see that two of the words in the measure name are concatenated together. Also, when you pull this measure into the the Formula Editor the measure text is split onto two lines, as if there is a carriage return hidden in the text.

Since everytime I had a confusion, it was resolved by this forum only, so now again I need ur support and advice.
Actually, I'm a struggler seeking desperately for job of a junior/asst. DBA. I've done MCA(Master in Computer Application) and OCA (Oracle Certified Associate) DBA.
Now in the next month I've to take the last exam (Performance Tuning) to be an OCP. Since I m a fresher in this field, I m not getting any job opportunity.
I'd already discussed my problem on this forum and had got lots of precious advices which recharged and motivated me a lot.
Now today I got an interview call from HCL company for the post of an 'asst.programmer' which is not the field I was looking for. But since I m getting an opportunity from a big company I m not able to resist it. Plz advice me of what should I do in such situation.
Further,I m not in practice of the programming languages for a long time so I m not sure whether I'll get through the Interview or not. Plz suggest.The interview is tommorow.

If you've got some knowledge of programming then at least it's a foot in the door and will allow you to gain experience.
Likewise, going for the interview will give you experience of the interviews, even if you don't get the job.
A good programmer has a good understanding of the way a database works, so the DBA skills you've already learnt will help you and, if you get the job, the programming will give you a good idea of how people need to use the database, so that too will support your DBA skills and you can eventually work up to the job opportunity you want.
We all had to start somewhere. ;)

We face this problem frequently in Process chains. The Local Chain Doesn't gets triggered.
Checked the start variant. Things are fine.( Marked has 'Meta chain' or 'direct scheduling')
The error Message got from the 'Display message' option follows:

The Local chain has the following steps:
1.start
2. delete index
3.load step
4. creat index
5. activate ODS
6. DB statistics
7. compression.

the start variant for the local chain..should use the setting..'start using meta-chain or API'..and not 'direct scheduling'..
error messages suggest that there is issue with dropindex job..
the steps suggest that u r loading data into an ODS..so u dont need the steps for delete index,create index,db stats and compression(these steps are used only for loads to infocubes)
so chain should be like this..
1.start
2.load step(to ODS)
3. activate ODS
4.further update from ODS to targets(if ODS loads to further data targets)

I recently purchased a new computer and activated firefox sync and Bookmarks came across OK but without passwords. Went back to reload in event of error and user name and password that was accepted earlier now rejected.

As above sync worked but without passwords, all efforts to enter site to remedy were rejected and password reset refused. To my amazement when I came to file this question name and password was accepted.

I have three issues that i came across in the latest version of firefox (16) n firefox beta?

I am using a samsung galaxy s3 international which i just updated to latest jelly bean. For Flash Player to work on it i downloaded the .apk online n installed the latest one. My problems are now when i use firefox for android i have the following problems.
1.) Flash videos in full screen have stopped showing the video controls (this is play, pause, etc.). i.e. they just disapear as soon as i switch to full screen, n are there when i press back to minimize.
2.) Another issue is when watching flash player in full screen mode the phone auto-locks while i am watching the video which is an issue because when i unlock the phone the video automatically minimize and crash. Please introduce a feature which stops the phone from auto locking when the browser is in use and when i stop using the browser it automatically turns on.
3) Even when 1 tab is only open the browser after some time of use at times it just freezes completely and to make it work again i need to go to home screen, and completely remove it by swiping it off from the multitasking bar and then open the app again for it to work fine.
Now i know most of you would say that my main issue here is with using flash player and therefore i should use another browser which runs it more stably, but the main reason i want firefox to address this issue is because the browser has adblock plus which in my opinion is the only best feature that makes browsing flash content on a mobile browser more user friendly. This is because when watching flash videos in other browsers one accidental tap in the video player ad or webpage ad which can easily happen due to the smaller screen n huge fingers would open up new or several new unwanted tabs of ad bloatware which starts to make browsing experience really bad in every other browser.
So Please firefox or anybody fix this issues or teach me how to fix them myself.

Due to security vulnerabilities, rolling back to Firefox 4.0.1 is not recommended. Version 3.6.18 would be a safer choice.
Here's the process to roll back:
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, download and save Firefox 3.6 to your desktop for future installation. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
Close Firefox 5.
You could install Firefox 3.6 over it (many have reported success) or you could uninstall Firefox first. If you uninstall, do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, Firefox 3.6 should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.
Note: If you don't have Firefox ask you before updating, you may need to set that to prevent an automatic update back to Firefox 5. Tools > Options > Advanced, Update mini-tab

How come there is no longer a short cut for firefox on my desktop? I switched to firefox 6 yesterday, and that's when I came across this problem.

Also, when I click start firefox used to be there, so I just had to click it, now that is gone as well. There is no longer a folder for mozilla firefox on my desktop either. To get on firefox I had to use another browser to redownload it every time I want to use it.

Create a new smart mailbox. Does it sync? If not, do as below.
Back up all data.
1. Triple-click the line below on this page to select it:
~/Library/Mail/Bundles
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu. A folder may open, or you may get an error message that the item can't be found. Either result is normal. If the folder does open and has contents, move the contents to the Desktop. Relaunch Mail and test. If there's no change, put the contents of the folder back and quit Mail again.
2. Repeat with this line:
/Library/Mail/Bundles
This time you may be prompted for your login password when you remove the items. Make sure they're removed from the folder and not just copied to the Desktop. If necessary, copy them first and then move the originals to the Trash.
