Regarding apps screen size of iphone 5

I bought an iphone 5 and i found most apps i installed through backup from my earlier iphone and i found most of apps' screen size are same as iphone 4s.
Is there any way to make my apps fit for iphone 5 screen size.
My another query is about how can i disable game centre option as it being a disturbance when opening the game apps.

Don't know what "the apps" are; they won't happen all at once. It will happen for an individual application when the developer chooses to make a new version available.

Why screen size for iPhone simulator is still 480x320 pixels?

I just upgraded my xcode to 4.2.1 so I have iOS SDK 5.0 now. However, when I create a project, the screen size in simulator for iPhone is 480x320 pixels. I was told the screen size for iPhone/iPad is now 960x640 pixels. Why in simulator it is still old size? What should I do to get the correct size or I am wrong and the actual device is still 480x320 pixels? Thanks.

hi,
you change between "iPhone" and "iPhone retina" to simulate both physical resolutions.
For the project it doesn't matter because the logical resolution is still 320 x 460 "Points". The OS does most of the work for you.

IPhone app screen size set up in Photoshop

I'm designing an iPhone app in Photoshop. I want to work in 2X size.
What size should I set the screen up in Photoshop to be able to export UI images and icons accurately?
Should I use an iPhone 5 or iPhone 6 screensize?
These are both 2X png but screensizes are different, therefore UI exported for the @2X size will differ depending on which screensize I first decide to start with.

Mylenium's link is very helpful; if you go there and go to Icon and Image Sizes there's a table of dimensions for all of those things.
If you have Photoshop CC 2014, you can set up Generator and Extract Assets to export layers (e.g. button designs) to multiple pixel dimensions automatically. That will be a lot easier and faster than manually sizing/cropping/exporting.

Screen size on iphone

I'm developing a game for iphone 4 and later, but it seems that the ios canvas size for director 12 is always set to 320x480, is there any way to check the screen resolution of iOS devices and set the stage size correctly?
if I set it manually what happens is that the iphone "zooms" into my 640x960 (iphone 4 res) stage and shows only a 320x480 window of it

returns 320x480, for the iphone4, and it should be 640x960
do you the values returned for iphone 4s and ipad3?
for ipad 1/2 the information return is correct: 1024x768

ITS Mobile screen sizes too small on iPhone device

Hi Everybody,
I am facing the some problems relating to screen sizes on iphone mobile. The ITS service and the templates were working fine at the desktop level..But, in iPhone,screen sizes are too small to view.We need to zoom it and enter.I have tried with screen format 16X20 and 16X20ITS.
Can any body provide the solution to fix the problem?

You must have a very high resolution screen, also called HiDpi.
If you have Photoshop CC 2014, you can go to Edit > Preferences > Experimental Features and checkmark "Scale UI 200%"
If you have CC, CS6, or below, there is no way to scale the UI as of yet. There may not be. These products are no longer being updated.
At best I can recommend reducing the resolution down to around 1400 px horizontal. That's not the native resolution and defeats the purpose of having a Hidpi screen.
So only thing left aside from returning the laptop, is to work with a large external monitor, or for $10/monthly, join the Photography Plan and you can use CC 2014 and the 200% UI.

Mobile carrier network start reconnecting every time the main apps screen showed up

Every time I slide to unlock iphone, close app or do anythinhg else that bring me to main apps screen / phone desktop iPhone loses connection with a carrier and start searching again. Any ideas how to fix that?

hmm, this seems not exactly to be a problem, you just have to set up your network correctly in rc.conf. Look at the beginners guide in the wiki for how to do so.
this is the example for a dhcp network from the wiki:

I touch an app icon - it enlarges to full screen size as if loading but 1 second later shrinks back to normal icon size. This happens with every app - nothing loads - please help if you can, I'd be very grateful ! Paul

Hi Paul, first you must check you multitaskbar from the phone. Press the Homebutton twice and you see a litte new bar. There you see all open apps. Hold your finger on one app until they shake and a red dot appear in the left corner of every app. Close all apps and restart your phone. If that won´t help make a reset from the iphone.
Press sleep/wake and home button for 10 sek at the same time until a white apple comes up.
If the issue still persist try to do a restore from your iphone

Iphone 4s facebook page shown half screen size, misaligned and frozen

Selecting the facebook app, all I get is an image about 1/4 size of the screen, like a collage of the icons. Screen unresponsive. Have tried deleting and re-installing. No Joy

I've been having the same problems for a while.
Currently Dropbox and Slack are in this half-screen mode:
Device: iPhone 4S, iOS 7.1.2. Tried removing the app and reinstalling, turning it off-and-on-again and resetting it. No luck.

IPhone 6+ unsupported screen size?

stage.fullScreenHeight returns 640

If I listen to Event.Resize, the values will be the same. But the IPhone 6+ screen sizes much more.
How should I fix this ?

Have these been addressed? If not, what is the status of these problems?
I do not have an iPhone 6 or 6 plus, so I can't test this; but I am eager to publish my app with full support for iPhone 6 and 6 plus.

How to redownload purchased apps from the App Store

An app will not completely download from the App Store to my iPhone 5S. Neither can I terminate the download by trying to delete it. The app is useless to me and so I would like to remove the icon from my home screen. How can I do this?

I tried to download the app "Google Translate" from the App Store onto my iPhone 5s. However, the download will not complete. What have you tried to get the app to finish downloading e.g. have you tried logging out and back into your account on your phone, disconnecting and reconnecting to your network, soft-reset of your phone (press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, ignore the red slider, after which the Apple logo should appear and it should reboot) ?
You could also try downloading the update on your computer's iTunes and see if you can sync it over to your phone (or delete the app its Apps tab when connected to your computer's iTunes and sync the new version - deleting the app will delete its contents).
