Regarding Asset movement!!

hi,
if we are assigning goods to cost centre in migo through account assignment as C, we can check the cost centre status in KSB1.
Likewise , if we select account assignment category as ASSET , where to check the stattus for Asset? any transaction to check it??
Also a plant may have many warehouses, so how to check after MIGO then which Warehouse the goods is posted to ???

Query regarding Asset quantity.

Dear Experts,
I have query regarding Asset quantity.
While creating Goods receipt (MIGO) users give the Material (Asset) quantity but when I check in Asset master or in any sap asset reports system not show the quantity in Asset master or any Asset report. Although I have checked in all SAP Standard reports but quantity not updated in any reports. Let me know if I need to do any configure in Asset.
I also want to know that how System posts the quantity automatically in Asset master after doing MIGO/MIRO?
Please provide the best solution.

In Asset Master Data update the unit of measure in Quantity field. When you post through a MIRO document or F-90 whatever the quantity input is updated in the asset master record.

Hi,
You can achieve this by either scrap value / memo value in your depreciation area.
Go to AS02, go to dep area tab, double click on depreciation area and in detail section enter the scrap value percentage or value. This procedure is only possible, if scrap value maintainance is allowed at main asset and sub asset number in AO21.
This will resolve your issue.

Fixed Assets move from location

Hi SAP Experts,
Business wants to capture all the costs into creating an asset as Asset Under Construction and then at completion wants to settle it to an Asset at a certain location. I would like to know if this Asset can be moved from its primary location to another location without effecting its Depreciation. If the answer is yes, then I also want to know how this can be done.

Hi Sameer,
The best solution for this is to use the Investment Measure for the Internal Orders. What it does is, you need to create an Investment Profile in which you will give the defaut Asset class (AUC). When you create an Internal order and release it in the back ground an AUC asset is created. In the Internal oder in the settlement rule give the main asset number to which you want this AUC asset to be settled.
All the costs incurred for this AUC is stored in the Internal Order and by doing KO88, Automatic Settlement you will be transferring all the values in the IO to the AUC asset (By default the IO value can be settled only to this AUC asset created) and when you do Complete settlement (KO88), the value in the AUC asset gets transferred to the Main Asset maintained in the Settlement Rule.
Hope this will clear your doubt.

Clarification Regarding Asset Accounting Chart of Depreciation Copy

We have a company code called ACT
For that we have a chart of depreciation assigned is ACT
Number Ranges are 1000000-1999999 (For Example)
Now we configured one more company code called RNC by Copying ACT company code and other settings from ACT company code only.
Clarification required - In Asset Accounting for Company code RNC we are plannint to assign chart of depreciation ACT as it is.
If we do like that - System will take the number ranges from the above ACT number ranges 1000000-1999999 ? or else system will take 1000000-1999999 number ranges from RNC company code? This is my doubt?
I think system will share the 1000000-1999999 number ranges in Asset accounting for both company codes ACT & RNC as we are using Same ACT chart of depreciation for Both company codes.
If we assign Same chart of Depreciation to both ACT and RNC company codes - Is it necessary to do any other configuration or no need to do any?
Kindly clarify my doubt

Hello,
Make sure that the both the company codes are in a single country before assigning the same chart of depreciation.
The number range of assets are defined at company code level. Meaning that you can have the same asset number in different company codes. The system will not share the number ranges across company codes.

Hi there friends,
hope you are doing good out there, my question is more an accounting question i believe ..than technical.
my question goes like this the client has some 30 AUCs now and if he doesnt want to continue with any of the AUC to be constructed further and want to write it off.
since it was collecting the expenses upto that point, he has to expense it to some GL acc, so now to what GL acc(expense acc name) can it be posted and what kind of transaction it would be ...if anyone of you could please help me, it would most appreciable and i would be greateful ya .

u2022EC70 is u201CAcceleratedu201D because you can create the business partner details at the same time. The business partner and contract account can be created from here. Also an existing contract account can be used. If the contract account is not entered on the initial screen u201CCreate New contract Accountu201D is automatically selected.
u2022In EC70 data can be partially saved, the data can be saved with errors, the Parked document status of the document changes.
u2022Before you save you can check if the data entered is correct using the u201Cchecku201D button. If there are errors a log is displayed to show which are occurring.
u2022The u201CExpand allu201D button shows fields that have a hidden status (Customising)
u2022Transfer Address of Premise checkbox Means that when the address data for the move-in customer is maintained, the address of the premise of the first installation in the move-in document is copied as the standard address of the move-in customer.
u2022To display a parked document go to EC70 and click on display (F7)
u2022To restart processing the parking document use: ECRMREPL -> IS-U Error Monitor. This should be run if the Parked document has a status of u201CProcess contains erroru201D.

This is driving me round the bend and "chat" tell me they cant offer suggestions??????.The turial regarding themes and polish reads:

All well and fine except I cannot find a theme button??????????
in "adding photos" it says -"In iMovie, click the Media button to open the iLife Media Browser." so where in heavens sake is this media button? Not in my Imovie it isnt.
I have the following buttons:Clips, Photos ,audio, titles, trans, effecst and iDVD and thats it???????????????????????????
I am sure there going to be other nonexistan buttons to further inflame me doubt

Hi donmalco - a mistake easily made. Apple are changing the version quite frequently, AND of course, charging for it!
iMovie 6 is part of iLife 6, which is a suite of integrated applications for audio and graphics. You must pay to get it.
Tip: when you do decide to upgrade, it is most advisable to retain your previous version - e.g. it's best to complete projects in their version of origin; and sometimes there are issues with new versions (for example, third-party plugins that work in version 5 may not work in version 6).
To retain the older version, go to your Applications folder, and re-name your iMovie as 'iMovie 5' or similar. Then when you install the new version it will not simply replace the older one.

when i posting a asset it is giving error mesage, ASSET VIL IS INCOPLETE, check asset
when i double click on this it is saying that "the incomplete indicator was set for asset VIL because required entrie were not made.
procdure: start report RAUNVA00 for the asset and complete the assets specifications. Then post transaction again.

Are the number ranges, internal or external, If external, give number.

hi gurus,
I want to do goods movement, for that i am using BAPI BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE,
but this BAPI does not update the EXCISE NO. and Part ONE Update.
So for excise no. update i found the FM J_1IEXGM_UPDATE_EXCISE.
and for Part One Update i found the FM J_1I6_GENERATE_PART1.
But i dont know how to use these FM together with the BAPI, so that my requirement to post GR with excise no and part one update will fullfill...
So guru suggest me some soln for this.
