Regarding BOM Deletion..

Dear All,
I have one issue on Deleting the BOM in CS02..My program has working for deleting the BOM items for corresponding HEader Material...Now What happen, There is no Bom Item for corresponding HEader Material but Stil the BOM has opened..My Requirement is have to delete the BOM..
I done Go to cs02 tcode, there i gave Material, Plant, BOM Usage and I hard coded Alternative BOM is 1..But its not Deleting the BOM(BOM dosen't contain sub item). But its Deleting the BOM contain Sub items .Is there any Function Module or BAPI available to delete the BOM dosen't contain sub items..
Please Guide me AS soon as Possible.

BOM deletion issue

Hello all,
I have an issue with BOM deletion.User has used alt.BOM 2 in a process order,with a production version of 0002.Next day he deleted the alt.BOM 2 and assigned Alt.BOM 1 to production version 0002.Now when i check the process order in master data tab,the BOM is given as alt.BOM 2.But it is not in the system .I tried to check through change number and tables,but could nt get it.
I know if the BOM is deleted with deletion indicator we can archieve that.I think in my case user deleted the same directly from header .
Is there any possibility i can view this deleted BOM 2 if the same has deleted without a deletion indictor?Any tables,transactions,programms available?

Hi George.
Since the 2nd alternative Bom has been deleted Directly from Header at Cs01, It is also got deleted in Bom table,.
So u cannot get details of deleted one.

I have one Report . It is extracting the data from PeopleSoft HR system and uploading that data to the SAP Tables.
I am Extracting the data from HR and while uploading that into SAP we have some conditions.

I have to delete that from SAP.
Once i was deleted that from SAP though it is creating a flag for Deletion, the Email is not deleting.
I want to delete the Email field also.
Cornced Transaction : XK06.

for deletion of email field, u need to use some BDC type wherein u need to update the field with space.

Reconfigure sales BOM deletes line item and creates new line item

We are having issue with Sales BOM. Once sales BOM is reconfigure, line item is automatically deleted and creates new line item. These changes are not captured by reporting tool. Is it standard SAP behavior? if its not standard behavior, how to fix this issue?

If i am not wrong, i assume you are using site instead of plant. If it is plant , then "yes", we can have a order with same material being line item 10 and 20 with different plants. Reg delivery, if the plants are configured to a same shipping point then you will have one delievery. if the plants are configured for a different shipping point , then delivery will be split up.

Tracking of bom deletion information reg :-

Hi,
My client has deleted the sale order bom by transaction CS62 for header material.Full bom for that sale order and sale order item material has been deleted.
Now there is no any bom inside the system.The problem is how to track that information like :-
1. who has deleted.
2. when has deleted.
3. which bom has deleted etc.
How we can track this information in sap.Which table is getting this information or what can be the other method for getting this information.

BOM Deletion Inconsistency

Hello All,
Deleted a BOM (ALT 1) containing a only document item in it, ALT 2 is still available. Now we are again in need of the that BOM but when tried to re-create ALT 1 system gave error message that "ALT 1 BOM already exist for the material and plant"
When use to display using CS03, system says BOM for material and plant is not exist in the system.
After invistation it has been noticed, ALT 1 BOM was got deleted physically only and not logically as BOM table entries (MAST, STPO, STKO etc) for ALT1 still exist in the system.
Our need to create ALT1 BOM is immense and inescapable.
Please suggest how to delete the BOM logical entries so that ALT1 can be recreated (Table maintenance SE11 option is not feasible).

your question is Deletion Inconsistency yeap.
Ok here are the steps to Delete the BOM CS02----> open the BOM and goto -
> on the top MATERIAL BOM clikck it -
> there will be Option DELETE.
If you click on it (DELETE) there will be a message displayed in the bottom that materials are been allocated again press ENTER then the BOM will be DELETED.
Come back to CS01 and give the same material maintain the particulars you will able to create the alternate BOM 1 with the same items in the BOM.

Query regarding BOM

Hello All,
I need to know how are the values for component materials which are entered through transaction ME39 captured and also how are they linked with the purchasing document?
I am writing a report for downloading the PO data in which i need to capture also the component items for the PO items(i.e child items).But when the BOM for that material is missing.when i check in transaction CS13,it says that the BOM for material does not exist.Also in transaction CS03,the message i get is "Logical system not defined".Maybe the BOM has got deleted or something like that,but i just need to know while entering the component materials manually,the values get stored in which tables and how is the linking to the purchasing document?

Regarding BOM items overwrite

Hi All,
I have a requirement to overwrite the BOM components with the new components.The program should just overwrite the existing components.The program is not required to check the existing components it should just overwrite with the new structure to the existing BOM.
I am trying with the function module CSAP_BOM_ITEM_MAINTAIN but I am not succeeding on this.
Please suggest somebody how to do this?

Changing a Material BOM
In the standard system, you use the following function modules to change a material BOM:
CSAP_MAT_BOM_OPEN
CSAP_BOM_ITEM_MAINTAIN
CSAP_MAT_BOM_CLOSE
Open BOM: CSAP_MAT_BOM_OPEN
This function module is used to open a BOM for changes. The BOM is imported with the relevant valid-from date and is locked. Provided that no error occurs opening the BOM, the result returned by the module is the BOM header data, a table of BOM items, and a table of object dependencies.

Plant (PLANT)
BOM usage (BOM_USAGE)
Valid-from date (VALID_FROM)
Change number (CHANGE_NO)
Revision level (REVISION_LEVEL)
Indicator FL_NO_CHANGE_DOC (do not write change documents)

Maintain BOM Items: CSAP_BOM_ITEM_MAINTAIN
Once you have opened a BOM successfully (without errors), you can use this function module to process the individual BOM items.

Create new items
The fields for item node and item counter must be initial when you create a new item.
Change items
From the table of BOM items, select the item you want to change, and transfer the changed data. The fields for item node and item counter must contain a value, because these are the fields used to uniquely identify an item in a BOM.
Delete items
From the table of BOM items, select the item you want to delete, and set the deletion indicator. The fields for item node and item counter must contain a value.
Maintain object dependencies
If you want to change or delete a local object dependency for a BOM item that has more than one dependency, enter the internal name of the dependency.
You cannot use the external name that you entered when you created the dependency to identify the data belonging to a local dependency.

You cannot change the item category of an existing item.
You can only change each item once in one session (between when you open and close the BOM).
If you see the error message "Item cannot be changed" in the log, the following reasons may apply:
The item is not valid on the valid-from date entered, because it becomes valid at a later date.
Object dependencies are allocated to the item, but the change number you used to open the BOM is not active for object dependencies.
The item has already been processed with another change number on the valid-from date entered.
Close BOM: CSAP_MAT_BOM_CLOSE
Once you have made your changes, use this function module to close the BOM. This saves the changes, unlocks the BOM, and writes the log.
The BOM is only saved if at least one item was changed successfully.
Please note the following points when changing BOMs:
There is no function module for changing header data.
The same restrictions apply as for creating a BOM.
You can only process one alternative or variant. If you do not enter an alternative when you call function module CSAP_MAT_BOM_OPEN, the function module opens alternative "01".

i have tried it with t code FILE... but it didnt worked out.. it still giving error....
the file xyz could not open..

Thank you for your reply. Actually i tried to down load BOM.   Here first i have to get header item Under 1 header item it may contain sum sub items.Again every item have dependency. I want to download in this passion.
Header item   ( one Header may contain number of items, at every item level it have some sub items )
1) item      every   item contains dependency
2) item      every   item contains dependency
3) item      every   item contains dependency
From header the fields i required is Material,Plant,Usage,Base quantity,Base measurement,valid from date2
From item Details Item no,Component material,Quantity,BOM ,Item category.
Please suggest me how to download these all and upload into ECC.

REGARDING BOM CREATION

At the time of BOM creation We choose copy from.After that which material ,which plant needs to be copied how will we come to know about this?Do we need do to select all the items from the BOM of source material.After copying items of the source material can i change the item quantity there .Please giude me on that.

First you are enetering material and plant of BOM to be created, in copy screen you enter the material and plant form which you want to copy the material BOM
example
Material A in plant 0001 is existing BOM
Copy function can be used for
Case 1 create BOM for a Material B and plant 0001. Now you want to copy from Material A plant 0001.
Here you use the copy frumction and enter material A and plant 0001.
Once you entrer you will see the items of material A/plant 0001, you can select all items or you can select some of them and click on copy, then system will take you to BOM of B in plant 0002 and items of B. here you can delete/add/change the qty, items whatever and save it...so that Material B BOM willbe created. Nothin will happen to material A BOM
Case 2 create BOM for a Material B and plant 0002. Now you want to copy from Material A plant 0001.

As per your answer after entering the item in the inserted line & enter, the item is going at the last line of the BOM not in the inserted line . The item number showing is correct.

Regarding BOM item return(KITs Return)

Can any one please help me:
Basically a BOM item (TPH77500--- Not Batch determined) hold 3 components TMD7710, TMD7711, TMD7712.( all the components are batch determined)
I have completed the Oto C for the above BOM item with a qty of 2. When I am trying to return 1 qty of the BOm item, It is populating its components with qty 1, butduring delivery it is saying the error log as below;
1. Document is Incomplete:You cannot Post Goods Movement for the material TPH7750
2. The batches are not defined for the delivery item TPH7750.
I have checked in the path edit---> Incompleteness Log, In that It is giving adescription:as per the status Group D8 in the Incompleteness Procedure L1 The Batches /valuation Type is not completely allocated.
but the BOM item is not a batch determined material where as the components are Batch determined.
Can any help me how I can rectify the above one so that I can check the KITs Return Process and the KIt's Component Return Process.

Assume the bom item is not maintained "batch management" in MM. Pls ensure "Batches /valuation Type" is not checked in Incompleteness Procedure.
